Guilt. It has the power to suck the soul right out of you. I’ve spent four years behind bars to wallow in mine, thinking about every wrong decision I’ve ever made.
The more I thought about my past mistakes, the more I realized that my biggest one was…Derek Hensley. The man I love, and also the man I betrayed.
Now that I’m free from prison walls, I have a chance to do things the right way. I want to start over, but no matter how hard I try to leave the past in the past, my heart still belongs to him.
I know I screwed up. I know I don’t deserve a second chance. But that doesn’t mean I won’t try.
No HEA for this h. She's the evil ow from the prev books. She did time for her sins but obviously not enough because at the end of this book she's still denied a HEA. There are soooo many evil ow who deserve a book just like this....

I loved getting into Hannah’s head. After experiencing bitchy Hannah in the first book and saw her redeem herself a bit in the second book, I really enjoyed getting to understand what made her tick. This was a very emotional book. And the way it was written made the reader really feel that emotion deeply. She tries so hard but it’s hard to overcome to mistakes she’s made in the past. In The Wrong Side of Us I couldn’t get a good feel for the kind of guy Derek is. But in this one I loved him! And I absolutely loved his relationship with Evie!! Although I enjoyed Nathan and Evie’s story in the last two books I felt more invested in Hannah and Derek’s story. Looking forward to the next one to know how it all ends!
Okay so I am not going to lie here with this review and I will tell you why I am being brutally honest because I effing love this series and all throughout this series I thought Hannah was a biatch a straight up selfish biatch and that annoyed me.
I started reading her story and knew I was going to get some more background I needed on her. I needed the Intel like first book because I was like what the hell is up with her what is her issue and when I got it I was like okay I maybe could like her but I still didn't think she was worthy of Derek. As you can tell I LOVE DEREK! He is the man and I love everything about him. He is to good for Hannah and I was kinda hoping they wouldn't get together because he is the man and deserves so much love and attention. But hey I didn't write the book I just read it! hahahahahaha
Give this series a go because you will love it! I did but I just wanted Derek all to myself.
I loved that the series took us to Hannah and Derek. What I didn't love was the massive cliffhanger and no idea if there will be another book. PLEASE tell me there is more! It can't just end like that, can it?
I loved where the story went and how we still see a lot of Nathan and Evie. I think there is some good groundwork here for some more in the series. I would love to see what ends up happening with Hannah and if we get to see anything more about Dylan. I just basically need more. There wasn't enough!
I'll be honest, I did NOT like Hannah from the two previous books in this series and I wasn't sure that I was going to like this book since she was going to be the main focus along with Derek. The first few chapters were a little whiny and focused a lot on Hannah and her inner thoughts and struggles with re-acclimating to the real world after her stint in jail.
Of course Nathan and Evie were supportive and awesome and I was so glad they were featured so much in this book.
As the book went on, I started to actually feel sympathy for Hannah's character and wanted to see her succeed and prove she had changed as a person but her love for Derek hadn't. I truly wanted Derek and her to work it out and find themselves in each other's arms again.
I absolutely loved the supporting characters from the restaurant, especially Lisa! I felt like the background story lines really helped drive this read and bring the characters closer together. But that brings me to Cat. I don't trust her. I don't know why but something about the unsettling way Hannah felt towards her really stuck with me and left me apprehensive of Cat and her intentions. It's always the innocent, quiet ones you have to watch out for!
The end of this book had my mouth on the floor! Who was Derek with at the bar?!?! What is going to happen to Hannah and Derek going forward? Why did Derek slip up so easily after having successfully tackled his sobriety for so many years? Who took the money? So many unanswered questions that have me anxious for the next book in this series!
Omg! Nooooooo! I need the next book ASAP! I won’t be getting any sleep tonight with the way it ended! I fell in love with Hannah and Derek and I can’t stand not knowing how their story will end. Ahhhh! This book is amazing but this cliffhanger is going to do me in!
At The Wrong Time is the 3rd book in The Right Kind Of Wrong series, and while it's about a different couple, YOU HAVE TO READ The Right Kind of Wrong (Book 1), and The Wrong Side of Us (Book 2) FIRST AND IN ORDER! I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about Hannah's story to be honest, and if you've read this series to date, you will understand where I'm coming from. However, WOW JUST WOW. The fabulous L.B. Reyes has me ready to slay dragons on her behalf at this point, and I NEVER EVER saw that coming. She's made so many mistakes, the kinds of mistakes that made me hate her, but the beauty is that she's learned from those mistakes. And she's not just saying she's changed, she's living it. One of her biggest mistakes was Derek Hensley, and she never got over him, but luckily, fate is giving her a second chance, however, will Derek? Yeah this story hit me hard in the feels, and the hits came from every direction. The pain was palpable, and there were times that I swear it was hard to breathe. Twists around every corner make it possible for me to lock down some of my emotions with the dropping of f-bombs, all the way up to a cliffy that really did me in. Worse than the Book 1 cliffy, and I may NEVER EVER forgive Ms. Reyes this time as the dying inside this time is real, so beware.....HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This is the 1st book that I have read by L.B Reyes but I can guarantee it won't be the last!! This is book #3 in her Right Kind of Wrong series it can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first 2 books in the series first as there is alot of backstory and explained alot about the characters!! This is book and the series itself are well written you actually feel what the characters are going through your right there with them!! This is Derek and Hannah's story and wow what a story it is!! Hannah has been in prison for 4 years and in that time she has had alot to think about!! Her biggest regret is betraying Derek the man she loved, the man she still loves. She knows she wants him back, she wants a second chance but does Derek? Can he ever forgive her for her betrayal? No spoilers from me, you need to read the book and the series for yourself!! I can say that the ending of this book was literally jaw dropping, literally blew me away there are so many unanswered questions and I can't wait for the next book I need to know!! I highly recommend this book you will not be disappointed!!
*spoiler* #1 I don't like to be lead on...I don't mind cliffhangers if there is another book on the horizon. #2 I would not have got this book had I known. The ending was very vague to me but what do I know. If I could write I would have books out there. I never read the reviews because sometimes they are misleading. You get a bunch of fives, you read and you realize the reviewers must be a friend of the author. After I read this I read the reviews. The book deserved the fives and a few of the lower ones also. I gave it a five because I enjoyed the book...until the last chapter. I don't know what to think. Will I have to go thru life wondering what happened to Derek and Hannah? I think I figured out who the mystery woman was. I don't know if I'm right but anyway...good book sorry ending...life goes on....
This leaves off with an excellent cliffhanger. I recommend if you love receiving more questions at the end of a novel than answers! I didn’t like Hannah though at the beginning. She still rubbed me the wrong way haha. Overall I came to love her and the secondary characters a lot!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.
I have been anxious for Hannah's story, and I have to say that I loved it! Hannah and Derek were great! That cliffhanger is killing me though, especially since the author seems to be MIA and the 4th book has no ETA. I NEED the rest of Derek and Hannah's story! Really hoping we eventually get it as I have loved this series and the author is very talented!
First book to be read by L.B. Reyes. Once I started reading this, I just could not stop. Derek and Hannah's story shows the ugly side of truth, family, forgiveness, trust, and loyalty.
I was fully invested in this book. Really enjoyed Hannah’s transformation, but the ending left so many questions. I would think there would be another book by now if there were going to be one.
This is the third book in this awesome series, and Hannah is newly released from her stint in prison, and she is out as a changer person, but her love for Derek has never died. Will these two have a second chance? No spoilers; this is a must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written story which has me hooked and intrigued throughout, and is a gritty, emotional , and heart-wrenching read, and I cannot wait to read the next novel to find out more about these engaging characters.
