Katherine Moore, author of Elementals Mystic Warriors, the first book of her Mystic Warriors series, lives in Houston, Texas. She is a native of Louisiana, which is where the basis for her love of reading and writing began. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston-Downtown. She is a mother, business owner and a former educator. While in her role as an educator she helped spread her love for reading and writing to expand the minds of the students she taught.
Coming from a large family of eleven children, reading and writing gave her a way to have a space that she didn’t have to share. She tells friends and family that she writes for herself because it gives her a sense of freedom. With this freedom comes the ability to create characters and settings that are not locked into any one realm or reality. When she writes she becomes a part of her characters. They exist in the domain, time and space that she creates. The fact that she has the capability of presenting her characters, that create pictures and emotions that stimulate the mind is an ability that she feels blessed to have. “I love storytelling… paranormal-romance filled with action, sometimes conflicting personalities and intrigue is what I present…”, says Katherine Moore. She attributes the love of her preferred genre of writing to the stories and legends handed down from the elders that surrounded her in her youth.

Elementals: Mystic Warriors by Katherine Moore is a real treasure for me. Moreover, I discovered a new beautiful and talented author. It's priceless! It is so hard to write review for book I actually like. No, it is much more - I love Elementals: Mystic Warriors. The characters in the book are so wonderful. The fact that they have supernatural abilities makes them more than just people, but the feelings they experience make them closer, because love is an absolutely eternal, unique and universal feeling and there is no more power than this. Chemistry between Bly La Croix and Andrew Von Erikson this is what intrigues and makes you want to continue their story. Excellent story! Certainly 5 stars!

I love fantasy and romance very much. This book has everything to become my favorite. Elementals: Mystic Warriors
by Katherine Moore is a very talented combination of an original idea, an interesting plot, unbanal strong heroes, whose life changes and develops throughout this story. In addition, the unique world that Katherine Moore has created is very complex and interesting. I hope that in the near future I will be able to read a new book by Katherine Moore. I really want the story of Bly La Croix and Andrew Von Erikson to continue!

DNF. The premise looked interesting and promising, but unfortunately this book needs quite a lot of editing. I tried my best to read it, but it was hard with the awkward writing. There are spelling mistakes and too long sentences that I wish would flow much better and more to the point.

Some examples (and this from the first 2 chapters only!)
- “Some were hardened individuals that were known to be tough malicious beings...” (Possibly: Some tough malicious beings...?)
- “On the whole in general some unique humans...”
- “Statistically speaking crime and victim related crimes was running wild” (Not sure if the author wants to make a distinction in different types of crime, but it’s not central to the story, so maybe just “crime”?)

Anyway, if the editing doesn’t bother you, this book seems to promise riveting family secrets and magical lineages. If you enjoy that, this book might be for you.

Needs work

I really liked the premise of the book but the execution has a lot of room for improvement. First, the author uses way too many exclamation points which I can only ignore so long. The formatting for Kindle was weird and it was hard sometimes to tell when the perspective changed from one character to another. For the plot, the beginning was way too slow for me. I ended up skimming through most of the first 30% before the protagonists even sat in the same room after the team was formed. Book could use a lot of cutting and maybe less perspectives.

Elementals Mystic Warriors is an original idea that opens a window to the world of Elementals and their influence on humanity. Powerful beings, warriors that are protectors against the malevolent forces of evil, with various gifts influenced by everything that make up this world. Guardians of man living among us yet unknown... This book covers the beginning, the origin of some and leave you wondering about others as the author subtly connects each to the other. There is friendship, family and romance along with the struggles they face everyday in the fight to defend mankind.

The Von Erikson triplets are a uniquely different set of heroes. All three are billionaire entrepreneurs, movers and shakers in the world of business. The backstory of their beginning, of who they really are, could have been the makings of a book of it's own. Two brothers and a sister born of human parents but the lives of the unborn infants were affected by unforeseen circumstances of forces of evil. Andrew after centuries of waiting may have finally found his Melda quen! –Beloved One! His life mate.

Bly La Croix, a powerful shifter, telepath and practitioner of magic. Beautiful, alluring and charming. Born into a powerful family with powers of the earth. Shifters and magic practitioners with gifts of earth's elements were her family. But she had another destiny that was unfolding, one of love and passion, that changes her life forever.

This novel is a very good read that I put down for one day after reading it and shared with a friend to read. We are both of the same opinion that it is one that we would love to follow more of the story line when the next book comes out. Looking forward to it!
