Christopher Gordon is an award winning graphic designer and author. Raised on the tiny island of Trinidad & Tobago, I always had a passion for designing & creating something from a blank canvas. I was always intrigued by movies both live action & animation together with the behind the scenes process that took place for the making of it. I would always find myself focusing on the production aspect in order to gain a better understanding of what really goes into an animated film.
At the age of 16, I was given the opportunity to live abroad in Canada, where I was fortunate enough to interact with different cultures. Upon returning to Trinidad, I then studied animation & graphic design at a college level, which led me to land my first job as a ‘Junior Graphic Artist’ for one of the top advertising firms in the country. I loved every aspect of it! Designing various ads for different advertising campaigns, winning awards & just having fun while creating. Yet, I still felt like there was more that I needed to be doing with my skillset.
It was only then, that I decided to take my skills to the next level by creating my own children's book series entitled "Timothy's Lessons In Good Values".
My ultimate goal for this book series would be to inspire the younger generation about the importance of having good morals throughout their life and to essentially create a ripple effect for the future generations thereafter.

Timothy's Lessons In Good Values - Volume 2 by Christopher Gordon is a children’s book on the importance and instillation of good values in children. In this book, Timothy, a young boy, is the protagonist and he tells his story and experiences in his own words. The book is organized into four sections: the values of obedience, responsibility, and kindness, and a fourth section which is a coloring section for kids. In this book, Timothy narrates his experiences with his friends and classmates when they lapse in their behavior or words. Timothy then dons his Warrior of Good Values suit and provides lessons by example on how to be obedient and follow rules, how to behave responsibly in situations, and also the importance of kindness to everyone and to fight against bullying. The book is accompanied by colorful illustrations throughout that complement the story.
Timothy's Lessons In Good Values is a fairly interactive book in the sense that at the end of each section, there is a small question and answer session available for parents and teachers to discuss with the child. It encourages the child to think for themselves and learn about these values themselves, which I liked and appreciated. The story is simple and can be read aloud easily to a class. The writing style is succinct. I thought the accompanying pictures were fun and children will love to draw and color the last few pages provided for this purpose. Overall, this is a book with a message that should help parents and teachers to teach youngsters about good values at a young age.
A story about a super hero - 'The warrior of good values' who stands up for what is right and just. A good way to talk to kids about Obedience, Responsibility and Kindness. The text is easy for kids to understand and provides a platform to talk about there being consequences for various actions.
This book is divided into three sections. Each section focuses on one of three moral values, obedience, responsibility and kindness. Timothy, the protagonist, transforms himself into a superhero, The Warrior of Good Values, to rescue friends from danger. He later returns to the scene as himself.
In the first story, Timothy assists his friend to escape a blue monster who tempts her to disobey and skip class. The second tale involves Timothy and his friends on a hike through the forest. When one of them doesn’t follow the rules, Timothy must fight a bear to rescue his friend. An elderly lady falls prey to a school bully while taking an evening stroll. Again, Timothy transforms himself into a superhero to save the day.
Each of the stories contains a question and answer sheet at its end. I believe this section of the book is the most valuable part. The illustrations are somewhat stylized and not overly appealing. Some of the plot connections could be better developed. Readers might question a blue monster that frequently hides outside school or a friendly, talking lion that guides the children through the forest.
This book might be used to facilitate a discussion on obedience, responsibility, and kindness. Adults should fill in the story gaps and guide the discussion. It will appeal to elementary school children who enjoy superheroes or graphic novels.
Timothy's Lessons In Good Values by Christopher Gordon is an illustrated book for children to learn three valuable morals. 1. Obidience 2. Responsibility 3. Kindness Timothy is a superhero in disguise who wants to make children understand good values. One thing I liked in the first two values is how the monster and animal were actually representing actual bad people that you find in a child's day to day life. The illustrations are a bit generic but it's still good. There's also a fun colour and draw section at the end for kids to enjoy. 🦄🦄🦄 Rated 90/100 Melina L.
I enjoyed this story! It is a easy but valuable read (pun intended)! I think it was organized thoughtfully and has a great section at the end for the reader to participate in the story. Great moral and definitely recommended read.
I believe that books that teach values are extremely important in our world today. This being said, I have reservations about recommending a book that uses a "warrior" who in turn uses violence, to teach values. I am concerned that this sends a message to young readers that if someone isn't following good values, they should be beat up? Each value in this book is taught by the warrior beating up the antagonist. I would hope to see values taught with kindness and respect rather than with fists. This review is strictly based on my own personal opinion.
This colorful book has three short stories about good values and responsibilities teaching kids there are consequences for their actions. It’s great to teach kids responsibility and kindness. I love that the book has Q&A’s at the end if each story. My grandson would love how the warrior Timothy came to his friends rescue from the blue monster, but in the end they missed a class and had detention. So every bad action has consequences.
Timothy protects his friends and others from strangers, bullies and wrong-doing alike by turning into a super hero. Obedience, responsibility, and kindness lesson examples are highlighted and explained. Review lessons at the end of each chapter are an added feature.
There are 3 short stories in the book about good values. The main character turns into a warrior and wins all the time. Also, there is a Q&A in the end of each section to start a conversation with your child. It can be good to read in the classroom to create unity around the good values.
Awesome book with questions and coloring with a good message
This awesome book has 3 stories that each have a lesson with questions at the end of each story to reinforce the messages. (Each story stands alone, but with the same characters.) This is a great way to talk to kids about different issues and about standing up for what is right. There are coloring pages at the end.
I gave this wonderful children's book five stars because of its excellent values for young children. The lessons also include consequences which are extremely important . Teachers and parents will be a big fan of this book!
