This is the second installation of Cade and Lecia Moore’s romantic suspense story. Cade’s music career is taking off and while finishing a schedule of gigs in Paris, he gets a call from his brother Vincent back in the states, who has been watching over his son, Miles, and his wife, Lecia. Vincent has some surprising news. Miles, now seven, is showing extraordinary abilities that allow him to produce fire. As a member of the Network, a secret society with nearly bottomless resources, Vincent has been able to determine that Miles’s abilities aren’t unique but an extremely rare genetic mutation.
Cade returns to the states to be with his family, but it’s clear that life cannot go on as normal when Miles suffers from an intense illness that leaves him immobile and mute for days. Through Vincent’s Network contacts, Cade and Lecia are able to find adequate care for Miles at a facility that understands his condition.
Aside from his unusual ability, Miles shows an affinity for several other skills, from writing as a result of his extensive vocabulary, to singing and dancing. But a dark side also appears: in the notebook he uses to list new words he learns, he’s keeping a separate list—of people who he plans to make disappear.

Ms. Sims brings us back with more family adventure with the Moore family. After reading the first book, I was excited to dive into the next one. One thing that is constant; family support is priceless and trust me it is definitely NEEDED😁.
If you remember in the previous installment Kaiden and Alicia was working through a traumatic birth of their son (Miles). As the story begins it appears that all is going well the family is together on tour with Cade. He is at the stop of his game and his fans can’t get enough of him. Miles is progressing remarkably, advancing academically and he is extremely talented…then a series of unexplained mishaps!! Tension starts to grow between Alicia and Cade when she decides it’s best for her and Miles to return to the states with Vincent and Dana. They all agree that they should stay with Vincent and his family while Cade is still in Paris. As time goes on Vincent discovers Miles unusual ability and the notebook 😱. This little tidbit sends things into a tailspin that test the family bonds…. Again!
Let me say that Miles is definitely the leading male in this one, for me that is. One moment he pulls on your heartstrings with his charismatic and loving personality... (” Hold me tight so I can feel your love and I’ll hug you to give you mine.”) and in the next he has you grabbing your chest at his aggressive outburst and manipulative behavior.
There were appearances from the Rodriquez family and their true colors showed up, Grammie Mommy was there to drop us some good ole fashion wisdom and the other kids made their mark in this one and sealing this story’s theme of love, forgiveness, secrets, mystery, and family bond.
Arie has piqued my curiosity and I would like to know more about this genetic mutation and its origin.
This is a great read for the reader that likes a few twists in their story.

The story Act II. Playing with Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 2) by Michele Sims is a book that I loved reading. It is the next story in a series that is entertaining and had me hooked from the very beginning. I loved reading about the many characters in the story. Cade and Lecia Moore are a couple that loves each other very much. Even if there are disagreements or conflict their true emotions/feelings for each other shine through. Miles is a child that I would consider very mature for his age. He also is showing signs of a rare genetic mutation that allows him to produce and use fire. He is very talented and at times, however, show a side of himself that could be considered dark. Cade and Lecia are parents who love Miles very much and want what is best for him. They do all that they can to find care for him at a facility that understands his condition. This story has characters many of which are family members. The story is multi-generational. I also enjoyed reading about Vincent, Cade’s brother who helps take care of Lecia and Miles when Cade is on tour. Cade is also very protective of Lecia and Miles. He is determined to keep them safe. Read this book for the ongoing story into the lives of the Moore’s. There are parts of this book that I found myself wondering what was going to happen next. There are also parts that are emotional. The story does include some romantic scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. Don’t miss out on a book that you won’t want to put down until you have read the final page. Highly recommended.

Was so looking forward to the continuation of this series...I love Cade and Lecia and now we add Miles to the mix and a whole lot more family interaction. I love family bonds in my story and this had it in spades.
The heat and strong connection between Cade and Lecia continued in this story, I love the real that is portrayed in this book through this author's words. These two aren't perfect, they struggle and they argue and this all feels so so real.
There's a lot going on in this story and when Cade and Lecia find out that their 7 year old son has a rare disease and also some pretty out there abilities the search is on to try to find him help. On top of all that is going on there is also another side of Miles that is somewhat dark.
This relationship is put to the test in this book, can they work together and stay strong together for their son and what does all of this mean for the successful career that Cade has worked so hard for?
I can not wait for the next book in this series. This is my second read by this author and I'm sincerely enjoying every minute spent reading her words.
Will definitely be following her from this point on.

"Act II Playing with Fire" by Michele Sims was just as dramatic as Act I and was filled with even more suspense in the lives of Cade, Lecia and both of their families. Once again I was not able to put this book down and this time I did not put the book down until I finished the book. I was so impressed with how Michele continued to focus on the importance of faith, family and friends for a fruitful marriage--and I don't want to exclude respect. Even though the cultures of these families may have differed, respect remained the same. Michele noted a valuable fact about individuals with beauty, money or both--there seems to always be someone out there who wants what others have and will do anything or go to any extremes to get what they want, no matter what the consequences may be, to include jail or death. And once again Michele is able to show having a marriage that is filled with love, respect and fidelity can keep the fire burning!! Outstanding job, Michele--keep the Moore Saga going because I can't wait to see what Miles is going to do with all of his talents and life!

Its the story of Cade & Lecia, Cade is a up and coming musician and is currently in Paris doing a gig. His brother Vincent back in the states is watching over Cade's son Miles 7, who is showing signs of being able to to produce fire. Vincent is a member of The Network, a secret society with bottomless resources. He's determined Miles's abilities aren't unique but a rare genetic mutation. Miles is very talented and can show a dark side as well. Cade & Lecia head back to the States to be with Miles when he becomes very ill. Miles gets better but its clear that he can't continue the way they are. They find a facility for Miles that understands his condition and knows how to take care of him. Will they be able to keep Mile's dark side from coming out? Will Cade & Lecia's love be enough to keep them together thru the trials of Miles? Will this ruin Cade's musicial career that's just taking off? Read Act II to find out!

Act ll: Playing with Fire by Michele Sims is the second book in the Moore Family Saga. This is a series that I would definitely recommend reading in order as it is a continuation of the story from book one.
I have to say that I enjoyed this book even more than the first thanks to the family feel I got about it. A lot of books tend to pass of the children and focus on the adults are the main storylines. However this book really excels in focusing on Miles as the “main character” while keeping it interesting and complex.
I found this book to be so intense at times that I almost couldn’t read it however I also could not put it down. I wasn’t ever sure whether or not I liked Miles. At some points I felt really sorry for him and felt like I wanted to help him, at other times it felt like he was beyond help. This made for brilliant reading.
If you haven’t done so already I would definitely recommend this series. I am looking forward to reading what else is to come.

I loved the sense of family in this instalment and just how important it can be to have the support of your family at times.
The authors writing is absolutely fantastic, her attention to detail makes the story come alive and I was completely hooked from beginning to end! I cannot wait for the next book in the series to continue this journey with these extraordinary characters!

Act II. Playing with Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 2) by Michele Sims is set about 6 or 7 years after the first book and is another great addition. This is a story about love and family, secrets and lies, mystery and uncertainty. There are some twists and suspense that keep you turning the pages.
After being on tour for years with her Husband, Cade, Lecia decides that Miles needs his family and heads back to the states. Miles is turning into an interesting young boy and has talents even his family didn’t know was possible. He is loving and caring one minute but in the next he is rude and manipulative but his parents do well in the way they are raising him and explaining things. When they discover his abilities it becomes a race against time to find out how to help him.
As usual the Rodriguez family cause nothing but problems. I really want to smack Lydia.
I look forward to reading more.

Michele Sims has done it again with the second book in the Moore family saga, Act II Playing with Fire. It’s a perfect mix of romance and suspense while being focused on a family. Cade is a musician and his career is just picking up when he gets a call from his brother that his son, Miles, has posers. Vincent, having connections, know that the powers Miles has is a rare mutation. Miles show so many abilities, and when he falls ill, his parents need to find a place that understands everything about him.
This story line draws you right in, and holds you fully until the last page. The author has such a way to make the story believable. From the way they actually parent, to the family support, and he writing style. I adored this book and I cannot wait to read the next in the series! FIVE STARS!!

An excellent romantic and suspenseful novel of a musician and his family and a son who has special powers. Family plays an important role in this series, with siblings and parents looking out for each other and the love really flows through these pages.
"I considered myself a lucky man to have love given freely to me to transmit to thousands through my music."
"My brother's family was a loving, gregarious bunch who filled any room with bright smiles and gaiety."
"Looking up at the horizon, I tried to calm myself by gazing at the sun, which had begun to set, leaving ribbons of pink, blue and gold."
Beautiful writing, an original storyline, and characters this reader enjoyed spending time with.

This is the second book in Michele Sims Moore Family Saga and is a truly entertaining read. I would suggest reading this series in order as each new book follows the same set of characters, in order to fully appreciate the storyline, it would be best read in order.
It’s hard to describe this storyline without giving anything away, it’s suspenseful, thrilling and steamy. The storyline itself is both realistic yet also one of fantasy which makes it really intriguing. I was so intrigued in fact that I read this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to stop. And I love how this author tied everything together.
I can’t wait to dive into the next book of this saga ASAP!

This is a continuation of book one with the Moore Family. The Family is in Europe while Cade is on tour, but then they discover that their son, Miles, has secret unusual powers and decide that he and Lecia need to move back to the US and stay with Cade's brother until the tour is over with. They also still deal with drama from the Rodrigquez family.
What I really liked about this book is how the parents acted like parents and parented. Not only that, but the book showed tremendous family support and accountability, which made the story very believable. I can't wait to read the third forthcoming book in the series.

Act II. Playing with Fire (Moore Family Saga Book 2) By Michele Sims. Once again this author pulls me in and won’t let go. From an interesting storyline and amazing characters I was hooked. Readers are taken on quite to adventure with these characters. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. The author does a wonderful job of writing a story that comes alive before your eyes. I liked this one a little more than the first but they are both awesome. Lecia and Cade are just unforgettable characters but all the characters it this story are also incredible! I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend it.

This is the second book in the "Moore Family Saga" and I think it's really important to read the first book to have an understanding of the relationship between the M/m and their families.
ACT II PLAYING WITH FIRE is a very detailed story that contains family "drama", special abilities, music, sexy times, manipulation and a "free range child". At times the story is so detailed, that I found myself skimming to find out what was going to happen. I always appreciate the effort an author puts into their work and the author of this book has plotted out an epic tale.
While this isn't my favorite series of the year, I will read book 3 to find out how The More Family Saga concludes.

This is my second book by this author, it is my favorite yet in this series. I enjoy how this author is able to pull me in to the story with ease and keep me turning pages until the end, make the story real. The characters took me on a journey of suspense-romance story about a musician and his son who have speical powers. As the characters watch out for each other they make you realize how important family is to them. I can’t wait for the next book in this series, I highly recommend this book.

Another good and well written book by this author as the Moore family saga continues. The characters continue to develop as the author continues to tell the intriguing story of Cade, Lecia, and Miles. Miles is especially interesting as he grows up. His story line leaves this reader anxious to follow him as he continues to grow up with the hope that the Moore family saga will continue.

Just like the first installment of the Moore Family Saga this one leaves you wanting more! I love how Michele is able to tie in both romance and suspense at the same time! This is one of those series that I could honestly see being played out in a movie! I will also be reading the third installment!

Sims knocks this one out of the park. Just when I think I know how the story is going to develop I’m proven wrong in the best possible way. From beginning to end this page turner kept me glued to my tablet reading as fast as I could. Loved every single word.

Cade and Lecia Moore return and they are on tour with Cade’s jazz band as they travel around the world with their son, as they have done for the last five years since they became more and more famous and because of this, their managers want them to extend their tour yet again. Meanwhile, Lecia is tired of all the travelling and their son is missing their relatives back in the USA, so she decides that their time on the road has come to an end and that she wants them to move back and have a stable home near family again.
Cade is disappointed and tries to convince Lecia to stay, but eventually he agrees that their son needs to be around kids his own age, but that doesn’t mean that he won’t miss them terribly when they have gone. As he tries to pass the time without them in an empty apartment and in an empty bed Cade struggles, but when his son falls gravely ill, he drops everything to stand vigil at his bedside with his wife until they know what’s going on.
After all the trials their marriage has faced so far, this next one just might make or break them, but can they work out their differences and band together again to make the decisions necessary to help their son? Playing with Fire, the next book in the Moore family saga picks up with a 7 year old Miles. It was good and definitely a series that all books should be read in.
Traveling with Cade on his Jazz album tour, Lecia and Miles are with him in France, but planning to leave for home. Which leaves Cade in a not so happy place when he finds out. Why, because he doesn’t want to be away from his family, but primarily because Mario is still out there.
Lecia’s character is so head-strung there’s times I actually can’t stand her. Cade is doing everything to protect and support his family, while tiptoeing around his head-strung wife. It drives me crazy.

This book was so good, it really delves into the young boy that Miles has become. Cade and Lecia face some difficulties in their marriage that they need to find a way to work through. Miles is sweet and means well but he is more than a handful and juggling that along with a career and trying to keep their relationship strong is quite a strain for them. There is just as much action and suspense as in the first book in this series, as well as emphasizing the importance of family and working together as a team. I can't wait to read more about this amazing family and see what happens with Miles next. This is such a good series I definitely recommend starting with the first book if you haven't read it yet because it will give much needed background info on all of the key players.

There is lots of action in this Book 2 of the Moore Family Saga series. Miles is quite the surprising little character, with lots of tricks up sleeve! When his powers are discovered, the family members all react in different ways, casting about as to how to handle the new development. Then tragedy strikes the family, it's all they can do to hold together and keep safe.
I really enjoyed getting to know Miles and figuring out about all the things he can do. There were a lot of plot twists, and some surprises I definitely didn't see coming. The characters deepened in this book 2, and became more lifelike for me. Overall, I found this book more engrossing and layered than the first one in the series. Glad I decided to check out the second one.

Continue following Cade and Lecia while they go through the relatable struggles of career vs family and their journey of overcoming difficult times. We are introduced to new characters adding to the storyline and more background into their families and pasts.
Even though there has been a some passing of time it smoothly picks up where the previous book ends. I recommend reading the first book to have a full experience of the characters growth.

Cade and Lecia are based in Paris, France as Cade tours with his jazz band and Lecia cares for their son, but after 5 years overseas she is ready to go home and be near their large family. Cade is finally in the spotlight with his band, but when Lecia takes their son back to the states he is hurt and missing his family. Cade tries to finish up his tour, but a call from family has him rushing to the states to check on his wife and son. Unfortunately his son because very ill and looks like an enemy may be the only one who can help! Will they save his son? Will their enemy hurt their family once again? Will Cade finish his tour? Man oh man, so much going on! Can't wait to read the next!!

She has had enough and makes plans that will work in here favor, but when Miles gets sick and his strange gift is revealed their lives become even more chaotic, but Love and family is the foundation for this threesome but now we all want to know who was the man and why does he want to hurt miles? Did Marco send him and yes I still feel like Marco wasn't innocent bur at least Mario and his mama won't be a problem. I hope Darlene doesn't become one either

A Sublime five-star read. This is number two in the Moore Family saga and it was just as good as the first, I adored this story and the saga just seems to go from strength to strength. The suspense and the romance will sweep you up, and the whole story will keep you hooked. This one follows from the first and we see more of how the family over come the incident, and how they are moving on as a family, as much as they can. Your heartstrings will pull and be swept away, this story is so immense that you will be swept away as you read.

Playing with Fire is book 2 in the Moore Family Saga. Cade and Lecia are back with their child, Miles, who was born with a genetic mutation that gives him a super power – fire. Even with this paranormal theme starting to weave itself into this story, the focus is still on family bonds and the highs/lows of parenthood. It’s about the good and bad in every individual. As the Moore’s navigate parenthood, careers, and marital difficulties, we all can relate in some way or another. Well written and enjoyable read.
