I've always found this story fascinating and such an interesting concept, so it was a lot of fun to read a retelling. The art style is very fitting and compliments the character's, telling of Jekylls idea of two minds and creation of Hyde.

Just a short, entertaining read with an interesting tale. The ending was great too with reveals on how events truly happened 💕

Super quick read but perfect to finish off my reading challenge! I’ve always been intrigued by this story but I never read the full thing. This graphic novel has been a perfect introduction! The art is excellent, the dialogue is verbatim from the original text, perfect! 5/5⭐️

I read this today and it was short but I enjoyed the artwork and basic story. These graphic novels are intended for a younger generation and to interest them in Classic stories. I enjoy them!

My 10-year-old son checked this out from school and recommended it to me (I've gotten him hooked on GNs). Love this take on a classic story, and Perez does a fabulous job creating a visual world of what it means to grapple with good v. evil. Some of the drawings are really quite astounding.

A great version!

This is a very simple adaptation of the classic by Robert L Stevenson. The illustrations are bold and fit the era in which the story was written. A classic story easily accessible for struggling readers.

Love it

Who doesn't love a modern voice retelling? I always listen to the classics then wonder if I caught all I should have. I thought this might be a fun way to find out! Definitely will check out more! Ide love an Anna karenina retelling lol I know I missed a bunch with that one! Or the count of Monte Cristo!

I read this for a friend to make sure it was okay for her son to read.

I think it does a good watered down version of the story. Isnt very gore heavy or anything too brutal for younger audiences. Definatly light on some of the more interesting parts of the story. But pretty good retelling overall.

It's an interesting story, but there are just too many descriptions. Like, the writer spent around a page to describe a room, but when something crucial happens, it's all said in a sentence. Also, it would've been better if we saw the lawyer's reaction at the end.

Some of the scenes are a little different from the original book, other than this, it is a very good retelling for younger readers.

Very quick read. This is a good adaptation of the classic, although the plot was shortened. The art is pretty and creates a fitting macabre ambience.

I have started reading more classics as graphic novels to use in my classes to get my students to read (and enjoy) the classics. I think this is a great novel to pull them in!

A decent retelling of the classic story. I will be using this as a mini book study with my students.

Solid artwork is the highlight. This gives the basic story, but is nowhere as in depth as the actual novel. It is a short read. 5 star artwork and a 3 star version of the story.

Excited to use some of this with my students as an aid as we read the classic. I wish Lanyon’s death was accurate, but otherwise all fits with the original text.
