Pleading insanity was the easy way out for cop killer Bradley Walker because he knew going to jail was a sure death sentence for him. What he wasn’t expecting was for the judge to allow the cops to pick which mental institution he was getting assigned. Nonetheless, he envisioned a comfortable ride from here on out. Little did Walker understand that cops never forgive and never forget, and at the asylum, you will descend into madness if madness is not where you come from. Walker tries his best to hang onto a glimmer of his sanity, but between the other patients, the orderlies and the doctor’s everything is turned around and upside down and Walker has no way of letting the outside world know he needs help.
Born in South Africa, in the heart of Johannesburg, Sian Claven grew up with a vivid imagination. When she wasn't immersing herself in books, she was actively creating her own stories.
At 29 years old, left to her own devices after her sister immigrated, Sian, wrote her first horror book Ensnared and dared to publish it under the guidance of indie authors Toni Cox and Ashleigh Giannaccaro.
Now she has released more than ten books including a thriller and sci-fi fantasy.
In 2019, Sian took up the challenge of publishing 11 books in 11 months.
Sian came second place in the First Annual Indie Awards for Favourite African Author.
Sian's book, Sylvana, the final book in her Butcher series, made the Amazon top 100 best sellers list in several categories across three countries.

I did read the tale, it was gruesome. Bradley Walker killed a cop in cold blood and pleaded insanity. The judge ordered him placed in a mental asylum with the cops having the choice of the place where he would be put. Walker was sent to one in the middle of nowhere, and his torture started.
This was my second book by author Sian B Claven, and the first half of the book shocked me. There was both psychological and physical torture including rape. Sian's writing made me worry if what I was reading was real or imaginary. There were moments when I thought that Walker was hallucinating. Every day brought a fresh set of nightmares. Starvation thirst, being drugged and raped, being experimented on, all the perversions happened to Walker.
I was on tender hooks while reading this story, I didn't know what to believe. A cloud enveloped my brain, and I could read with eyes which widened at every sentence. I was left aghast. The second half of the book had repetitive scenes, and the ending was quite different and unexpected.
A prison is never a nice place, and a prison managed by a sadistic doc and his psychopathic staff would just be an asylum from hell. Read the book at your own risk.
What can I say about this book I have been waiting for book 2
This book was like a movie playing in my head it was so good will reading you have to read book 1 to fully understand the Asylum and what goes on there but one thing is for sure if you weren't crazy before you went in you sure will be IF you EVER leave. This author just knows how to write a good twisted and messed up book that will play with your head I loved it. It was well written. You need to give these a try you will not be disappointed.
The cover of this book was stunning in a frighteningly bloody way and had me so eager to open it and begin. The premise for this second book in the Asylum duet had captured my interest as well. I really enjoyed this deeper witness account of the things that had happened in the Asylum during Book One. Many scenes were certainly horrific and had my head spinning quite a bit. I am really enjoying Claven's writing and can't wait to read more of her books.
This book continues straight from where the first book, Asylum, finished. The happenings at the Asylum become more gruesome and the horror aspect has been taken up a notch. I love where Sian went with this story and the mind games that were played within the four walls are enough to have your mind spinning. And the ending, wow, just wow, I wasn’t expecting that!
So for all of you lovers of a good old fashioned horror story, you must check out this duet,
The good doctor, is back. Dr. Brock, and the rest of the asylum staff is here to service. This book is insanely funny, it gives the same vibe as book 1, with a new aspect. A new patient is here and he will go through a hell of a time with the staff and other patients.
Bradley Walker, a cop killer who pleads guilty, but insane. He is left at the asylum, with the other criminally insane. He thinks it's going to be an easy time in there but when he realize that he is out of his depth and doesn't know who or what to trust, Bradley starts to believe he's insane.
I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for my review.
This was a quick and easy read. Creepy, is an understatement, and the writer has a unique way of Making you feel like you can see what is happening. Asylum II picks up right where Asylum left off, which is what I like in a sequel! Enjoyed the strange ride thru this book... Remind me to never visit Asylum!!
This takes off right after the events of Asylum I. I really liked the ghostly scenes. I thought it was a fine horror story and I thought it ended really well.
Oh wow!! I don't know which one was more twisted of the asylum stories if this one or the first one. But the thing I can say even knowing that Bradley did a bad thing I felt sorry for what he went through.
Wow Sian has done it again another amazing book was hooked from the start couldn't put down once I started if you havnt read Sian books yet then I highly recommend them
