About The Author:
Riddhi Agarwal is a 16 year-old residing in Kochi. She is a focused student, an ardent reader and an enthusiastic traveler. A girl with big dreams and wild imagination, she hopes to make a difference in her own little ways.
The entire reason why I decided to pick this book up is because the author is just 16 yo.
{What was I doing at that time of my lifespan???}
Anyway, back to the book!
This book revolves around an art work theft and a bunch of characters. They seem to be morally gray. Loyalty,Betrayal, love, crime, thrill,suspense.. you name it, this book has it all!
The pacing was correct for me personally. I couldn't guess what was happening and it did take a bit time for me to get involved. This book is a superfast read and all can fly through it.
The characters felt realistic enough to connect with them. They were interesting to read about.
Also, this book shows us the art business and stuff related to it. That was interesting.
The writing is mature and engaging. It has a very good standard to it. The author has captured her character's emotions and has written them down with precision. It was gripping to watch them take their next move. I fell in love with the writing style.
There is only one word for me to describe this book
"IMPRESSIVE"
Do read this book. I strongly believe that this young author has her tricks up her sleeve to impress us the next time too!!!
This book is basically about an Art theft that revolves around a group of characters, each fueled by their own set of ambitions and goals in life. For some, it’s about raising to great heights in the society, while for some, it’s all about revenge and redemption. ‘Snapped Threads’ brings together all these characters in a crossroad wherein their moral codes are put to test in this riveting and promising debut by Riddhi Agarwal.
Characterization:
The novel revolves around a host of characters, each of which was given ample weightage and depth. The book was never about one particular character, all the characters had an important role to play. Even if there was a slight bit of brashness in a character’s decision, it was always justified. They matured really well over the course of the story. Reading their backstory enabled me to get into the skin of the characters and understand/see the world from their perspectives. Even the antagonists’ intentions were backed by proper reasoning. It was really fascinating to see the impact that the surroundings/upbringing had on one’s attitude towards life. When a book has too many characters, I feel irked. But this time, I was a lot relieved. I found it easy to follow the characters as there was a definite set of them in the story.
Plot Breakdown:
The plot was so fresh and interesting. The Twists and turns were totally unexpected. In most of the suspense/mystery novels that I’ve read, the plot and events could easily be deduced/predicted provided you have keen observational dexterity. But even those skills rendered futile in this case. I found it hard to pause the book as there was never a dull moment. I usually take breaks during the fillers or when there is a slack in the plot, but this book had neither of those. So I ended up finishing it in one sitting. For an author to pick ‘Art’ as the theme for her debut book, it requires serious guts. One can’t come up with such a story without performing background work beforehand. Her intense research about the theme was evident from the information that oozed out from the pages. She wasn’t just throwing away facts, it was structured so well and she integrated it quite wonderfully in the book. It gave a great insight to the world of Art. For someone who had no knowledge about the domain, this book served as an opportunity for me to get to know more about the various aspects of it.
Writing Style:
Her writing is so flawless and devoid of any grammatical fallacies. She is blessed with such a descriptive narration which enables us to imagine and construct the plot sequences vividly in our mind. She gives life to the characters by describing their traits and personality explicitly. It wasn’t simple nor complex. It was balanced proportionately in way which made it both easier to follow the plot and also have a graphic understanding of it.
Bottom-line:
Truth to be told, it’s been ages since I last read a captivating novel like this one by an Indian Author. Even though she dismissed my claims, I still believe that there is a wizened soul residing beneath her skin. No sixteen year old can produce such a splendid work of art of this caliber. I really wouldn’t be surprised if she manages to gain popularity in the social/literature circles in the near future. I was a bit nervous before picking up her book to read. I was wondering how to break the news to her in case I found the story to be mediocre. But thankfully, it turned out to be a spectacular read. People in my circle very well know that I’m the sort of reviewer who never sugarcoats reviews and who is never afraid to criticize a book if its trash. But this one, impressed me a lot. If you ever ask me to compile a list of the authors with the best debut, I wouldn’t think twice to put Riddhi at the top of my list.
Like every other Indian thriller, I was not expecting much from this book. I expected it to be predictable and boring. I was oblivious to the fact that this is not like other thrillers, and I am so glad I was given an opportunity to review this book despite my initial hesitation. The characterization is in good detail and capacity and it shows in the writing style. I especially love the narration of the book, given the genre of suspense. The way the story progresses is very engrossing and not anticipated. When the publisher told me that she is only 16, I was so shocked and impressed because the kind of details provided by her in the story seems to be the work of a mature, experienced author. Not that this should cloud your opinion on choosing to read the book, but it is indeed praiseworthy that such a story is written by a young teenager. I recommend this book to all those readers who are craving a good thriller with unpredictable twists and turns. For me, it has become one of those novels where I can keep going back to it for a good read every now and then. I wish luck and success to the author! Title - 5/5 Cover - ⅘ Story - 4.5/5 Narration - Excellent
Blurb:- The story revolves around a very famous and expensive painting named Enigma, which had been stolen from Nisha, the painter itself. Now 3 years later, when she finally got her hands on Enigma at an auction where it was being sold, the same thief, Kristine as called herself, is here to steal it again. Although, Kristine doesn't steal it this time. Why? The world knows the Enigma to be of Kirchner. How did that happened? And where's Reyansh, Nisha's fairy tale husband, who asked her to be at that auction?
My Review:- Plot was very interesting. It was something fresh and unique coming from an Indian author, not to forget, a debut author. The subject related to Art was well researched and was narrated vividly, you can see that in many pages. Emotions were well depicted throughout the book. Although, at some point I thought the story was being dragged unnecessarily. It could've done much better with 10-12 chapters than in 14 chapters.
Snapped Threads was helpful for my vocabulary, came up with many new words. Language and writing style of the author was commendable. Book's cover didn't felt quite right for the content inside it. Also, font was a pain in my eyes. I enjoyed reading it anyway.
Recommended to everyone.😊
I received a review e-copy of this book from in exchange for an honest review.
My rating will be 3.5/5 But there is no 3.5 in Goodreads.
I always believed that to express emotions clearly, we need to experience some of them ourself. That is why as authors become older, writings become more deeper and touch more dimensions. But author of this book clearly demonstrates that even at a very young age you could understand and write down complex emotions. . .🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼. .
Book deals with a costly masterpiece painting made by a dreamer girl, but greed and deception creates a painful maze for her to reclaim her life. In the process she looses her masterpiece and her soulmate. . . 🏵️🏵️🏵️🏵️
Story is different from regular love stories. I will not call it a thriller but rather an art drama. . Prose is engaging and it is a pacy read with little use of complex words. This always makes a book stressfree read. . Writing is nice but but I see there is a lot of promise which needs time to proliferate slowly to higher dimensions. Emotions are depicted deftly but coherence and justification of various decisions of protagonist is little circumspect like providing keys of paintings to an almost stranger. .
There is information about how art circles work and how internal dynamics of art business are stained with moral frigidity. . . I liked the story because it is different and deals with a different look at a strong female character who fights alone with bravery. . I see a promising new Indian author who is going to priduce even better writings in coming years. . . Thanks to @snappedthreads for review copy.
I really like it. From the start till the end there is a story that holds your attention and keeps you engaged. I read the entire book while coming back home, so I am proof that you can finish the entire book in one sitting. I really liked the narration that does not let a single second go by without holding your attention. The ups and downs that are seen in the story were very interesting. Ps one more thing, I gifted this to a senior found a lot of similarities between the two stories.

My review: A thriller story. The Author has done quite a lot of research and it shows in the story. The plot is very nice, every character is portrayed very nicely. The end of the story was really good. The story shows the struggle for justice, friendship, betrayal, greed, enmity, lust for wealth and satisfaction of life by fulfilling dreams. It shows the darker side of the people All in all, a really good read.
👁️🗨️Book Name :- Snapped Threads 👁️🗨️Author Name :- Riddhi Agarwal 👁️🗨️Genre :- Crime Thriller. 👁️🗨️Title :- "Snapped Threads" the title sounds interesting and it indicates something related to Breaking suddenly in a situation ( I just Googled the title before reading the book in order to understand the words and to know the reason why the author might have used these words for the title. Though I got the answer after reading the book :-) 👁️🗨️Cover :- Though the title seems interesting the cover didn't impress me.but It indicates a man's leg with a rod in his hand I guess with a huge flashing light behind him. Which some how makes the impression of crime kinda story to the reader) 👁️🗨️My point of view :- ▪️Though I hesitated to read the book at the first but somehow managed to read, After completing starting few slow going chapters the book became interesting to me and I kinda got addicted to it. ▪️This book covers all the aspects of life from Crime to little bit scent of romance. ▪️The book is all about Art theft and a group of engaging peoples(characters) with there own set of problems and dreams all leading to a certain destination. ▪️The characters are unique each given equal importance and described well with each one's back story different from one another. These are realistic and easy to connect with the flow of the book. Female power is strongly indicated in this book. ▪️The story is built up well from foundation to the roof. ▪️Writing skills of the author and the vocabulary used is impressive as 16 year old girl as managed to write this book creatively. ▪️The book as 14 chapters with interconnection of threads leading to a fabulous ending. ▪️Recommend if you are interested in crime thriller genre. 👁️🗨️Ratings :- ☀️☀️☀️☀️
Snapped Threads is a refreshing story about an art theft. It is brilliantly written in a very simplistic manner.
What is surprising is that the story is written by a 16 year old girl. The knowledge that the author holds about art, exhibitions, and "the dark world" is commendable.
The book talks about love, friendship, betrayal, lust and greed for power and fame. How a person would go to any extent to fulfill his desires. It also stresses on the theme that a person with good intentions can make a bad person realise their mistakes and the harm they have caused to others.
The character development was excellent. How the characters are made to do things they would have never wanted to do just because someone was able to hit their weakest chord and manipulate them to do things.
It is a mostly unpredictable story with lots of twists and turns.Though some stupid acts done by characters which were totally unreasonable and were disappointing.
The story was able to keep me hooked since beginning. As I progressed towards the end of the book, I was wondering whether the story is going to have a satisfactory end or am I going to be left at a cliffhanger. But I must say that the author gave an end to the story, which might slightly appear rushed up, but completes the story. A bit more details though would have made the book more loveable.
Definitely recommended for a refreshing read, with a good amount of thrill.
Book- Snapped Threads 🖼🎨 Author : Riddhi Agarwal - She’s a sixteen year old and has set a magnificent benchamark in the writing industry.❤️ 📚 “Every artist, for that matter, every creator, learns from an experience from of his own, and puts it together with his imagination, with his expectations.” 📚” My paintings speak of my struggles, my dreams, and my regrets, all of it put together with the central theme of love. Rating : 🧵 🧵🧵🧵/5
Struggle for Justice. That is what the blurb of the book speaks. And this very sentence is enough to relate. How justified is our struggle? And is what were are doing even a struggle in real sense? Is justice that we seek even actual justice? What is important? Justice to one, or justice for all?
Snapped Threads is a book whose plot revolves around an art theft, i.e stealing of an art piece. But attached along this art theft are many characters, some wanting wealth to fulfill their greed, and some wanting to fulfill their desires. Alongside the main plot that is basically a crime thriller, is an essence of romance (just the bit required!), betrayal, ambition and friendship as well. The best thing about this was watching how the female character alone works out with her problems bravely ( just the correct amount of feminism required!) A bit more spoken about, I am sure, I will reveal the whole thing.
This book is a quite a short read, which is more of a drama rather than a story. The grammar, punctuation, character weaving and vocabulary are commendable. Overall, the author was able to portray what she needed to say through her book is what I feel. After manier review copies, this book was one, which was comparatively better in terms of language than others.

Review - It is astonishing how a 16-year-old was able to capture the depth of dark emotions with such intensity. The story is an amazing crime thriller which keeps you involved every page of the book. The way the author has portrayed relationships and friendships is worth a read, and absolutely commendable. Indian writers mostly do not venture into thrillers, and those who do, do not do justice to the idea behind it. With this book, I am satisfied with the story as well as the narration. The author has used simple words and sentence structure, which makes it an easy read for readers of all age groups. I was not very sure about this book when I picked it up, but I’m glad I read it through. The best thing about this book is the fact that the author has put in enough research and effort in character building, which one often seems to overlook, especially in thrillers. I’m extremely impressed by her work and wish to read more by her!
Nisha, an artist, who painted 'Enigma'. It was stolen three years ago. Reyansh and Nisha got married and Nisha was working on stolen painting 'Enigma'. Who could have stolen that painting?. Reyash asked Nisha to go on auction where paintings are sold. She got to see her painting in there. How did Reyansh know about that?
While she tried to ask him about that, his mobile was in not reachble. So she asked help from her friends Riya and Andrew. Andrew investigated about this and also whereabouts of Reyansh. He got a letter which was decoded. What it says? why is in decoded? Who is behind all this? Where is Reynesh?. Read this book to find the answers.
Really a thriller one. From the start to end, it doesn't get you to distracted. Plot is different and the characters poratrayed with the mixture of emotions. Each chapter is full of suspenses which makes the story intriguing. Author done a good job and it's a recommended one for who loves the thriller stories.
This novel is very well structured, moreover a lot of research work has been done, which is evident in the writing style. The detailing of the novel is commendable, and the suspense in the novel is mind blowing. At no point I felt that the story was predictable, in fact this book will engage all your senses into the story, with it’s perfectly timed dramatic effects. I love the idea of justice and that’s one of the major reasons why I picked up this book, and regardless of the masked villains prevalent in the society justice was served. One thing, which I absolutely delighted with was, the knowledge of art that the author has got. Plus she has written such an intense novel at the age of sixteen and this will always be a benchmark ✨✨✨✨✨
"Snapped threads" by Riddhi agarwal is well structured suspense novel. At age of sixteen, the author has done a plausible job with the narration and language. You won't find yourself getting bored at any moment throughout the story.
The story revolves around Nisha, who is an amazing artist and has created one such stunning art named "Enigma". It is loved by every art lover. But it gets stollen and is then presented under another famous artist's name. The story moves forward with Nisha's struggle to find the story behind the theft of the art with the mystery of her love and husband.
Thought the book was remarkable and found that the characters stayed with me long after I had finished reading it. The author's attention to detail is also commendable as the book is based on the art industry and it would have taken her hours of research to get the setting right. The suspense and mystery element of the novel was well written and I also loved how the conflicting emotions of each character was presented. Overall, it was one of the best books I've read recently and I'm certainly looking forward to more from the same author.
Story is about Nisha who is an amazing painter . One of her beautiful paintings enigma got stolen and suddenly she finds it at one art auctions and her only mission was to find people behind this theft. Ending is very emotional and heart breaking but also happy ending. Author has done a great job in writing this book. It is worth appreciating. Writing such an amazing book at age of 16 is a difficult task.
This book is amazing...i can't focus on other things after i started reading this.. All the time only this book is going through my mind.. You will meet lots of people in your life and it'll be upon you that what type of person you want to be in your life.. Btw, it's perfect to gift someone. I Gifted this to my cousin and he loved it
“The eyes are mirrors to the soul, the deepest feelings reside in our hearts which no time or evolution could change.” 👌 • Snapped Threads is fast-paced and beguiling story of ‘Nisha’, a woman who is deeply in love with her husband ‘Reyansh’ and also an artist whose one of the best art-works ‘Enigma’ had gone missing (stolen). While launching her second masterpiece ‘Solitude’, she got some clues regarding ‘Enigma’ which she later started investigating upon. Alternating between past and present, this book sweeps you away in tale of love, life, betrayal, greed, and art work thriller. The characters are complex and multi-faceted. • This story has its pros – there were many twists and turns that kept me on my toes. It was an interesting plot and the way this young girl wrote this plot was remarkable. 🧡 • Crime Thriller had never been my kind of books. I probably started reading book of this genre few months back and now I really love reading them. I highly recommend my readers ‘Snapped Threads’. I’ll surely be picking upon more of her works – she is such a gifted storyteller. ✌🙈 Do we know how many tears are trapped beneath those smiling eyes? • Read complete review on my blog at www.readersdive.com or click the link in my bio. 👈 • Read Learn Explore 😊📚
