Another World’s Zombie Apocalypse Is Not My Problem! #1

Another World’s Zombie Apocalypse Is Not My Problem!

Rate this book

Just when I thought navigating high school was bad enough, I woke up to a rotting, post-apocalyptic world! I thought that the poisonous swamp surrounding my small island would have protected me from all the drama, but what did I see staggering my way? A nasty, putrid zombie! With nothing left to lose, I shoved it away! To my surprise, it turned into a living, breathing, not-so-dead human!

So, I have the power to purify zombies. And now I’m expected to save this undead world from the zombie apocalypse? Great. This is so NOT my problem!

Female Protagonist? Check.
Zombies? Check.
Isekai? Check.

A fun little read. It isn't a gore fest of zombies, but more of a comedic take. It is fairly predictable, but that can be fun too. I enjoyed it and would read more by the author.

On the downside, Mizuha seriously lost the isekai lottery. On the upside, she gets to slap zombies.

I really wanted to like this novel but it isn't great. The threat of zombies is entirely non-existent and feels like how one would portray a zombie apocalypse for a tv show targeted at kindergarteners. The main character's thought process also doesn't make much sense given the situations she finds herself in and this greatly draws away from any chance of immersion the novel might have had.

Overall it feels fairly shallow and illogical.

A stand-alone volume, this sounded like a pretty promising setup and remained as such for the first quarter of the book but pretty much went nowhere after the first major climax and actually gets rather repetitive.

I understand the author's intention was probably to parody zombie infections and isekai in this work, but it felt rather weak and watered down both elements. There's also a pretty obvious reverse harem hook the author tried to go for but quickly abandoned half way so that contributed to the half-hearted feeling of this book as well.

The major sticking point for me is the heroine, which I liked at first but quickly got tired of due to the author's repetitive use of the same jokes involving her powers. In the end, she ends up pretty close to being a Mary Sue type of the character with barely any development from her introduction point.

This was a book that could have been quite an interesting concept of the author could pull it off, but felt like they were rushing against some deadlines and had to rush out the endings after wasting more than half the book with iffy jokes. A shame, in my opinion.

Zombies and Isekai two of my favorite genres how could I not read this? That being said its only "okay" If i could give it 2.5 stars I would but it's really not a 3 star. The format feels like a first person recounting or a diary style common in many light novels lately even though it doesn't start that way. There isn't really any exciting action, slice of life doesn't really fit, and the humor is very repetitive and flat. I don't know if this is going to be the only volume as it is a new series but it feels like it would make a great OVA if it were animated but nothing long term. The humor and pacing were very Japanese targeted which makes sense being a translated light novel. Overall I give it a meh out of 5, it's not terrible but it's not really fun or enjoyable either. That said I will still read a second volume if one ever comes out to see if it gets any better since it's short but I don't see any real promise of that.

This book is . . . exactly what it sounds like. Girl gets transported into a world full of zombies, and it becomes her problem. A popcorn read.

First, I want to say I rate books on how *I* enjoy them. If I were being more critical I'd probably rate it a bit lower, but lucky me I am not a critic! This little gem is not a stupendous book, but it was a lot of fun to read. It is a light, quirky, fun adventure. Mizuha wakes up in a zombie infested world and quickly finds that she can purify them returning them back to normal and the land/water around her as well. This leads to some wacky adventures and crazy characters.

If you're looking for visceral zombie combat, this is NOT the book for you. It is not about slaughtering them all, but changing everyone back and restoring the kingdom.

All in all, it was a change of pace for zombie stories, entertaining and fun to read.

Mizuha, a Japanese teenage girl, wakes up on a sandy island in the middle of a poisonous swamp. She quickly learns her touch and spit purifies the land, returning life to a bit of the world. Since that is her only power though surviving is not easy and any person purified instantly zombifies when touched by a zombie. Saving the world is not easy...

The characters are reasonably likeable, although somewhat flat and confirming to the tropes. The villains are especially silly. The overall plot is over the top as well. The setup felt different enough to keep me hooked. All in all, it was an entertaining story for me, but it is not for everybody.

It started somewhat funny, then just went straight downhill. No one makes any intelligent decisions, a host of crazy characters keep showing up, and then the later explanation for why the zombie apocalypse happened was incredibly stupid.

Actually the story was boring, The main character is a girl with the skill to cure infectious zombie. The story rather circling in some cases.
