They call him the Paddock Playboy--a disgraced Formula 1 World Champion. A tattooed bad boy with a reputation, he has a penchant for supermodels and supercars. An alpha race car driver earning more headlines in gossip magazines than trophies.
I was hired to clean up the mess he made. I'm his PR professional. He calls me his nanny.
I have my own problems I left behind in New York. But I found all new ones on the race track.
He thinks his sexy, smart mouth and bad attitude will drive me to quit, send me home packing. He thought wrong. He messed with the wrong woman this time.
Oh, and that sultry Scottish accent? Definitely not falling for it...
I know what I want, and I'm here to take it.
Too bad in F1, nothing is what it seems.
Corruption runs deep in the secretive playground for billionaires and elite athletes. The stakes are high, everything is on the line, and sparks will fly when the lights go out.

"Both of his warm palms cover my cheeks, and he looks me in the eye with a lingering intensity, “You listen to me, and you listen good. I have been with a lot of women, Emily. A lot.”
I force my eyes away, I don’t want to hear this.
He brings my face back to his, “You are the only one I want. The only one I have ever felt this way about. You’re not like them. None of them meant anything. You mean everything. Okay?”
JUST PLEASE !!!! STOP WRITING THE SAME PATHTICAL GARBAGE AGAIN AGAIN AND AGAIN !!! This is getting ridiculous! I won't even bother to write a review so there's no risk them being soooooooooooo repetitive like these poor excuses for a books! And this will be a series???? PLEEEEEASE DON'T!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
As a big F1 fan I’m always trying to find good F1 romances and it hasn’t been easy! I really enjoyed this book for the most part but one thing I always hate is miscommunication and unfortunately it happened a few times in this book. Also this one is suuper spicy!!
However for the most part I really loved it. The banter between Mallory and Lennox was amazing, I couldn’t get enough of them together. The drama part is one thing I don‘t enjoy in romances but sadly they usually happen but it was a bit too long for my liking. On the other hand I completely felt all of these emotions and loved the double POV which made it hurt a lot more but made the rest of the book more amazing!
Also I love that there is a queer F1 driver even if he‘s just a side character and I would have loved for him to have a bigger role or any queer F1 romances for that matter but just the fact that there was one in this book made me so happy!
This book had me torn with my rating. I loved how Mallory gave Lennox back as good as he dished out in the beginning and once they started working together it was a great thing of beauty.
The two of them did a back an forth as they learned more and more about each other and started seeing through the front they put out and what really lay under all of the snarls and barbs.
Mallory needed this new job to work after her last client turned her into a bit of a pariah, plus she wanted to make her parents take her profession seriously. Lennox was actually a big mush ball under the tattoos and the surly attitude.
Once these two dropped all of the drama and started becoming an item I loved the chemistry. Where things started going off the track for me was instead of talking to each other when management stepped in and started making unusual demands they didn’t tell the other what was going on. Instead they tried to protect each other by going behind the other persons back and that lead to full on angst the last half of the book. I’m ok with some angst but when it just disintegrates to every page is an angst fest I tend to lose interest. A simple hey this is what’s happening and I thought you should know would have made things so much less drama laden. Not that doing that still couldn’t have left room for some misunderstanding and some over the top behavior by Lennox which would have been fun instead we got this butt hurt childish behavior by both parties.
So the first half of the book I really liked and that was a 4 star for me the rest of the book became a 2 star for me so I went middle of the road and kept it at a 3 star review.
I received an ARC for free and I am voluntarily leaving feedback.
The world of F1 seems like an obvious setting for romance books. The travel to new, exotic locales, the athletes in peak physical condition, and the corruption and money that flows through any large sport all are great, dramatic building blocks to play with. I'm constantly surprised that there aren't more books set in that world or authors eager to toy with the concept.
When I saw this up for download, I jumped on it and I'm glad I did. You can tell the author has a good understanding of the sport, but the book doesn't linger on the boring or technical parts. It seeds just enough authentic detail to keep a fan of F1 interested without obscuring the story. I hoped the book would use the setting for the bones, but wouldn't get lost in it--this book delivered on those expectations. Color me pleasantly surprised!
I liked the main characters. That seems like such an obvious thing, but so many books don't nail that simple, first concept. And the best friends of the protagonists made me laugh every time they were on a page. The problems that kept the leads apart felt pretty organic and real and the family issues that seeped in around the edges of the main character's life were very relatable. I wanted to know these characters. They would be fun to hang out with. We could trade stories about our terrible parents over a glass of wine or something. They felt like actual people. And that made me more invested in the story.
I don't want to spoil it, but suffice to say there is the requisite steam one hopes for, a setting that's unique and, at the very least, underrepresented (one that should be used a lot more often), and believable, strong characters doing their best in the face of the sorts of sticky situations that made me want to turn the page.
I'm glad this looks to be a series. I enjoyed this a lot and want to see where it goes next. I'll be around for book two, for sure.
I received this free eARC novel from Booksirens and the author. This is my honest review.
This was a great story. I loved how snarky both Lennox and Mallort are at the beginning and how they slowly start to show their true feelings throughout the novel. I also appreciated that they both did right and waited until Mallory was officially available before starting anything so they wouldn't become cheaters.
Everything with Digby was terrible and he is a horrible, nasty man. He got what was coming for him.
I loved all of the characters and loved the scenes when they were in Scotland. I'm glad I got a chance to read this novel and may have to look more into this author and series!
There’s a lot to like about this book and a few things to comment on.
What did I like? + Formula 1 racing. Original setting and not bad executed! + (mostly) strong heroine + MC’s need to overcome a lot of 💩 handed to them + tough shell, golden heart hero + HEA, no cliffhanger
What less - “I’m an asshole not a monster” became old - excessive alcohol use
I received a free copy through BookSirens. This is my honest opinion and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.
*ignoring the cover and the title* This is one of those books where you have to enjoy it for what it is - a quick and easy spicy F1 standalone romance.
The book follows Mallory, an American working in sports PR, who takes a job with paddock playboy, Scottish F1 driver Lennox Gibbes. It's her job to reform his reputation and bring him in line following a few seasons of poor racing and bad behaviour.
I will say that as an F1 fan, I did enjoy those elements of this book - it hits all the sweet spots of race weekends - talking about DRS, paid drivers, the FIA etc. Still, while I found the dynamic between Mallory and Lennox mostly fun, their characters individually were not as endearing.
The plot is heavy on miscommunication and lying, so if that's not your thing, give this one a miss. It does, however, have some excellent spice and a sweet epilogue.
Mallory is now one of my all time favorite heroines. Usually with sports themed novels, the heroine is only as strong willed until she's putty in the hands of the hero. But Mallory was tough and strong all throughout. She's smart, level headed and knows how to be with the boys. And our girl knows how to handle her shit and can be a badass when she wants to be!
I also liked how Lennox was written in this. Although he was very douchey in the first parts, you kind of get why he was that way, he's not just a douche because he's some hot f1 racer. And when we get to the hot and sweet parts, man oh man, but Lennox surely delivers😍
Loved the supporting characters in this too! Aria was a hellion (i hope the next book is about her, or thatbshe gets her own story), jack and matt were hilarious, and lennox's family was just sweet.
was this objectively good book? maybe. was is realistic? not really. do i wish for more f1 content in it (fast cars, races, information other than infamous DRS)? yes. - because if a woman doesn't know about f1 it is always about DRS, like our dear Mallory do i wish for their relationship not to rely on miscommunication and getting sexually assaulted for greater good? yes.
did i still got butterflies in some parts? yes... do i want my lover to send me British tea from the shop where queen gets her tea because i'm THEIR queen and quote old horror movies to me? YES
PS. also what is wrong with the cover? the man doesn't resemble Lennox at all
Celeritas, an F1 team, hires 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥 (h) a social media whiz, that reforms the public opinion of ill-behaved celebrity athletes. She is told to fix the image of the ‘Paddock Playboy’ 𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐱 𝐆𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐬 (H) who automatically dislikes his new Publicity Manager and wants to make her job impossible. Celeritas intended to protect its brand, even when Lennox wasn’t the driver they were prioritizing in the races. It takes a while for Lennox to warm up to Mallory, especially because he doesn’t know her intentions and believes she is collateral with a phony job, who just wants someone from him. Eventually, he starts to see a different side to her, and they form a closer bond where he can truly let his guard down. Events go downhill, when Mallory is informed that she HAS to be the PR manager for Digby DuPont, Lennox’s teammate and someone he told her to stay away from. After Digby makes it seem like she’s cheating on Lennox, he shuts her out of his life and goes back to his old ways. However, the entire time Mallory is trying to find something to use against Digby so Lennox can race without compromising his positions on the grid because that’s what Celeritas wants.

Is it because I love F1 so this book won me over solely because of the setting? YES, it was honestly interesting and the name lowkey deterred me at first, but I didn’t expect to like this story this much. I think their dynamic had the perfect balance of banter and smut, but I hated the unnecessary Digby drama. The development they had was everything, especially because you can see him become a better person, especially with the media and his fans. They were perfect for one another and he groveled for a while, when she refused to take him back. I would say he was patient, but he knew they would be endgame either way and was setting up their home together. This man is honestly a flirt and he was shitty at first, but she always knew how to defend herself which CARRIED the book. He was trying to push her away so she could quit but she always had a comeback and I’m glad that she didn’t let him push her over 💕💖 best girl fr.
I wish he had reacted differently when he saw the pictures that Digby sent. He should have trusted Mallory instead of shutting her out and blocking her. It was unfair, especially because she didn’t want to hurt him in the first place by telling him she HAD to work for Digby or she could get fired. However, with his history of being cheated on, his reaction was understandable, but I hate miscommunication so it made me enjoy the book less. Either way, F1 romances are now my favorite!! I might continue this series (not sure). The writing was actually really good, and the side characters were interesting too. There was a perfect mixture of smut and plot so it was a good read.
𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥, if you’re into F1 then you will definitely like this especially because you get to visit all the circuits (Ex: French Grand Prix) and visualize the podium and the actual race. If you have F1 knowledge it makes it more interesting, but if you don’t, it explains some details along the way so it’s easy to get into.

Fast and Hard is a high-speed, high-stakes smoking hot love story set in the rarified world of Formula One racing. Former world champion driver Lennox Gibbes is a big-money sponsor's nightmare - the only thing worse than his current race performances is his reputation for off-track bad behavior. Sports PR hotshot Mallory is hired to rein in the surly Scotsman with attitude, lest he cost his race team the backers who fuel their big-ticket high-octane toys. She has an attitude of her own, with a high-profile family out to sabotage her dream of her own PR firm. All the people in this novel who have wealth and connections also seem to be suffering from malignant narcissism; it's clearly a case of two good-hearted and talented "little people" getting stomped on by the rich bad guys. Oddly enough, Lennox and Mallory spark the best in each other, and their unlikely professional alliance morphs into real love (and hot sex). The nasty attempts to undo the duo, professionally and personally, are evil enough to make readers cheer for Team L&M, the main characters are sympathetically written, and the blind twists and hairpin turns of the plot come at breathtaking speed. It's all a bit formulaic, but really well done. This one gets the checkered flag.
If you don't already know, I have recently gotten into Formula 1. Quick thank you to my boyfriend and friend Robyn for that. I have been so hyper-fixated on it that I wasn't even able to pick up a book I had already started so I decided to try reading an F1 romance book. Here is how it went. I started this book yesterday afternoon and literally could put the book down for the life of me, the slow burn was delicious, and their banter and arguments were smoking hot (can't forget about our MMC who is also SMOKING hot). This author also seems to actually know about F1 and her writing seems very accurate (from my beginner's perspective, however) I even learned a bit more about the sport from this book lol.
This book had all the tropes I love or had yet to know that I love, - Enemies to lovers -Forbidden Romance -Secret Dating -He falls first -Workplace Romance It was quite literally just a book full of amazingness. The only thing that I will say that I didn't like about the book was the miscommunication between the two main characters, they could have figured so much shit out if they just told each other what they were doing and what they wanted, however, I digress because this allowed me to get a longer story which I absolutely ate up. 10/10 completely recommend to everyone.
I didn’t pick up the series sooner because of the horrendous title and cover. But it turned out that it doesn’t fit the story at all. (fortunately)
I’m a big fan of Formula 1, therefore I liked the representation of the sport in the book and the different aspects the f1 drivers have to deal with. Especially the focus on money/politics on the grid and the media circus. The description of f1 in the book as *the world’s most expensive travel circus* is quite fitting.
6️⃣word review Spicy, fun, good f1 romance series ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Spice scale 🌶️🌶️🌶️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here’s the deal, if you are an F1 fan there will be some things the author gets wrong. It’s not perfect. But it’s fiction and it’s fun and it’s spicy so stop complaining about how “the fia would never” and just enjoy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Book 1: Reformed playboy Bad boy and his PR agent Scottish accents My least favorite
4.5 Stars Normally I don’t really pick up sports romances BUT I stumbled across Hard & Fast while looking for books about Formula 1. So in these weird times we’re living in right now, with no actual F1 racing, me getting into Virtual Racing, I have come to read Romance F1 Books and boy am I loving it. I now have to read all other books in the series. Even if you’re not into F1, you’ll still enjoy it because the main characters are actually the cutest.
This is a well-written story with very well-developed characters that evolve throughout and you get know them not the front they put out. This story has twists/turns, intrigue, chemistry, and love. This is a must read F1 story that has realistic descriptions of the sport without boring you with too many details. These characters are brought to life by this Author
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I recieved a digital arc through BookSirens in exchange for an honest review. All opinions stated are my own and given voluntarily.
I'll be honest, the very hot guy on the cover drew me to this book and it didn't disappoint. Although I am upset there are no tats ont he cover model *drool*
This is your typical enemies to lovers sports romance. It's done well and I loved reading from both their points of view. And the guys Jack and Matty are hilarious I can't wait to read their stories.
Lennox and Mallory are great character both strong with dominant personalities that mesh well together. Annoyingly they both have a tenancy to jump to conclusions and shout first, think later.
The ending was a little rushed for me but I overall I really enjoyed the book and will look out for this author again.
