Olivia Wickham could never forget the cowboy she met on a cruise five years ago. The two spent a magical few days together before she was called home for an emergency, without giving him her number. She would have gotten over Tate McConnell—it was just a few nights of paradise, after all—if it wasn’t for two little things: her twin daughters, who were born as a result of those wonderful days. Though she searched for her lost romance in vain, she never forgot his mesmerizing eyes, and the way his smile made her melt inside.
On a trip to the wilderness just before Christmas, things take a scary turn when one of her daughters is injured on a snowshoeing tour and the little family is unknowingly left behind by the guide. When Tate shows up to save them, she instantly knows who he is—the father of her children, and possibly the love of her life.
Surprised is a mild term for what Tate feels when he realizes the woman he’s been sent to rescue is Olivia. He’d searched for her over the years, her smile and laugh invading his thoughts on lonely nights. When he learns the two little girls with Olivia are his, surprise makes way for shock. Now, with a major snowstorm coming their way, Tate has to quickly get them to safety inside a cozy little cabin in the woods. Maybe too cozy, since Tate is adjusting to being a father and trying to fight his fierce attraction to Olivia. But since they’re snowbound, there’s nothing to be done but to let his feelings thaw a bit. Or a lot, since they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other every chance they have to be alone. When reality intrudes, though, real panic sets in for Tate. He’s been alone too long to suddenly be a big family man, even if it is Christmas time.
But when Tate finds himself alone on Christmas Day, he realizes being alone is, well, lonely. He can only hope he’s not too late to create his own Christmas magic.
Mary Sue Jackson and USA Today Bestseller Leslie North invite you to indulge in a heart-warming small-town western romance with a smoking hot cowboy and the woman who tames him...
This novel contains sexual content and mild profanity.
Mary Sue Jackson is the romance pen name created for all those cowboy dreamers! This Montana-based cowgirl is a rancher, and knows what hard work means. But despite being up at dawn and working past dusk, she still finds time for what she really loves... romance! With so many hours spent alone, riding across the seemingly never-ending expanse of grasslands, she has plenty of time to dream of love and the romantic tales of ranch life.
When Mary Sue's not out on the grasslands dreaming up her next story, she's most often spending time with her own personal hunky rancher, her husband. One of Mary Sue's favorite activities is to ride the ranch with her husband in the evening and hold his hand as they watch the sun go down over the prairie.
Good read with wonderful characters and a great story line. Olivia and Tate met 5 years ago on a cruise and they hit it off really well. As soon as the cruise is over, she leaves him without a word. 5 years later she is back and she is not alone. The chemistry and attraction that was between them is still there. Loved their story and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

I received a copy from Hidden Gems; this is my honest review. -It's a second chance romance with twins in tow to complicate things even further. It's mostly believable, it's funny at times, but sad too. I didn't really see the chemistry nor the love, just some lust and open door bedroom action to make up for lost time. It also gives you a great window view of small-town gossip and how people help each other (or not). -Loved sentence: "smelling the amazing odors of leather, oil, and wool". I do the same when I go to Home Hardware: I smell the wood, the steel, the plants. While my husband is shopping I go to the wood section, just to smell. -Editing needs another pass: missing words here and there (mostly "the"), when an author uses an unusual word, he/she should be careful not to use it too often, such at the word "rappel" used thrice in this short story.
I got through this, but I gotta say, I just couldn't connect at all with any of the characters. Olivia is needy and presumptive. She even acknowledges it several times, knowing that she's assuming and wanting too much.
I felt bad for Tate and kinda hated him at the same time. This would usually make for an interesting and complex character, but in this case he was just annoying and unfeeling. Which again, he acknowledges it many times.
The auxiliary characters were okay, but one-dimensional and uninteresting.
Just overall fell flat and I felt like I wanted to just get it over with.
This was a good read. Olivia and Tate had met on a cruise a few years back. Now one day Tate is out on a rescue and Olivia and her daughters are the ones he rescues. Olivia believes this is fate and even though Tate is happy she is there he doesn't think he is ready. Thankfully by the end he comes to his senses and they get their happy ending.
Snowed in with the Rancher is a wonderful second chance romance. Engaging characters and a well delivered storyline made this a great read and definitely a keeper and I recommend you grab your copy.
Me gustó bastante, pero me paso que el me daba rabia, más que ser una ayuda para Olivia era una carga LSKDKSL. Se entiendo lo de que era nueva para el pero no se ☹️
A romantic story between 2 people who had spent a few good days together on a cruise ship and met unexpectedly after 5 year with the MMC discovering out of the blue he had two kids he never knew about.
I think the basic plot had potential but I can’t say I’m very excited with the execution. Olivia often appeared having unrealistic expectations from Tate, then realized she was wrong, then she got upset and then this circle began all over again. Tate didn’t make much sense to me either; I didn’t get how exactly he changed his mind from something that he was so sure he didn’t want to suddenly being crazy about it. Overall, I wasn’t convinced that there was any real chemistry between the 2 of them. I did like Tate’s parents though, they were a cute and fun touch in the story.

Read this book a while ago but still haven't written a review, oops.
Anyway, while the book was somehow a Christmas story and the book is well written, what bothered me here was the characters. Mainly, the heroine.
I'm probably spoiling a book (but hey, the blurb tells the whole story so I can't really spoil much, right?) but Olivia expected too much from Tate. The man learned he was a father in a day or two after they (including children) first saw each other after years and already Olivia expects a family, a husband. I can't imagine what was she going through, raising twins all on her own for almost five years, but I think it's illogical to expect so much after a day they reunited. If she wasn't expecting a fantasy, this book could turn out so different. It took her almost the whole book to realize she was irrational. No kidding, he was living on his own all that time, not knowing he was a father.
The second, very important part for me, that really bothered me (even more than the heroine) was the way we are told of important moments. For example, when Tate told his parents he has twins, we are not told the emotions of that moment. Was he nervous, were they shocked when they found out, first reactions? No. Instead the author cut this moment with ''Five minutes later the grandparents...''. We literally jump from Tate signing on Skype to ten minutes later when the grandparents found out. The exact same thing happen when they told the twins he was their father. Do we see the excitement, first reaction when they realize their father is in front of them? No, we are told how one of them asked how the babies were made. The twins were without a father for all this time and yet, it's a moment that makes it as important as describing pouring milk into a mug. This IS an important moment but the author didn't make it one which is why the story lost its charm for me. And the last situation was when the grandparents came to visit. We don't get to see how they reacted when they first saw their grandchildren, no, the author jump from them coming to the house to the twins already sitting on their laps. It's the first moments that would make this story a feel-good Christmas romance about family, love, reuniting, rekindling their love, it's the first moment that counts in a story like this. Instead, for me, this was just a mediocre, 3 stars book.

Talk about an easy to fall in love with romance! Snowed in with the Rancher by Mary Sue Jackson was a relatively quick read, I finished most of it in one night due to the smoothly flowing writing and loveable characters! Rated 5 stars, as it was a truly remarkable story that I just did not want to end!
Five years ago, Olivia shared an unforgettable couple of nights with a hot cowboy on a cruise. As she's preparing to meet said cowboy, Tate, for a meal, she's called away to attend to a family emergency. They never got the chance to exchange contact info or even last names. All Olivia knows is that he's from a small town in Montana and is unknowingly the father to her girls.
Olivia, Jackie, and Melissa are a stable unit of three. She and her four-year-old twins have always managed to make it by themselves, never needing to rely on anyone else. All of that changes when Olivia takes a job for a director's position in none other than Montana. While out snowshoeing before Christmas, they find themselves in need of rescuing and who should come to their aid but Tate McConnell himself.
Tate is sent spiraling through a whirlwind of emotions as he comes face to face with the very woman who broke his heart and abandoned him on their magical cruise. After rescuing Olivia and her girls, he brings them back to his cabin to seek refuge from the brewing snowstorm. Tate soon finds out that Olivia never meant to abandon him. She was unfortunately called away to a family emergency and always regretted not finding him first... and that he is actually the father to her twin girls.
Experiencing Olivia and Tates western love story was both a joy and an emotional roller coaster. The author does a beautiful job illustrating the ups and downs of small-town life, giving real depth to each and every character. I found myself undeniably rooting for their happily ever after and was truly satisfied with the ending. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for an easily devourable romance in a western setting, such a great holiday second chance romance!

Opening yourself up to love: This is a sweet second-chance romance that flowed really well. It was an enjoyable, easy read that drew me in and grabbed my attention from the very beginning. Tate has been pushing everyone away for years in a futile attempt to guard his heart and now he has to learn to open himself up to others. Hidden under all his self-protective armor is actually a kind sensitive man that you can't help but love. Olivia has been raising her 4 year old twin daughters alone and is longing for a life partner to share the joy and burdens with. She was hoping for an insta-family but Tate and Olivia have to work through their issues first before they can become a loving family. You could feel the emotional connection between these two and I was rooting for them even if I did feel like shaking some sense into Tate at times! ONE INCREDIBLY WILD RIDE!!! Dazzling! This dynamic duo rocks the boat and stirs one chaotic mix that's as thrilling as it riveting with all the mishaps and mayhem blasting this baby to life flawlessly. Mastering the ups and downs, weaving a cocoon so intricately and tight, draws you deeper into this tangled web until everything else ceases to exist. Pushing on-ward, hurdling the trials and tribulations, along with a slew of plot twists and sharp turns fuses this baby together sleek, shiny and tight. The chemistry is hot, intense, sizzling and explosive. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and qualities that blend and flow. The scenes are so vividly detailed it gives the illusion you were right there with them instead of on the sidelines. Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
I really enjoyed this delightful story about two strangers who met on a cruise, were separated by life events, but are reunited five years later. Olivia Wickham met Tate McConnell on the cruise and after a wonderful five days, a family emergency calls her home. She never got a chance to say goodbye and had no way to find him. Five years later, Olivia has accepted a job in Montana and during a tour she and her twin girls get separated from the group, and are rescued by Tate. Is fate giving them a second chance? I liked the fact that she did not try to hide the past five years from him, but gave him time to accept their new situation. A very heartwarming story for the holidays or anytime. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
Sweet and stubborn Snowed In With The Rancher by Mary Sue Jackson is well written romance that really pulled my heartstrings. Between the second chance and the holiday setting, as well as the wonderful characters, this book is a great Christmas read. Tate is a true sweetheart, alpha cowboy that is so confused and set on believing he’s incapable of being a husband and father. Olivia is a relieved single mom who realizes that maybe she’s been a little unrealistic about her expectations. Even after five years, the fires burn strong between the two, creating complications. Add in the adorable twins and it’s a really great story. Overall, a well written book with plenty of heat, holiday heart and a really happy HEA. I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
Christmas is the catalyst for miracles. The birth of Jesus of Nazareth. The transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge. The Grinch's cardiac growth spurt. The WWI one-day truce when German and Allied troops put down their guns, crawled out of their trenches, and sang Christmas carols. In this lovely holiday story, a man who believes himself alone and unloveable finds out that he really has it all - loving extended family, a loving woman, and children he never even knew existed. The problem with blessings is that too many of us, like this rancher, are too afraid to embrace what is so freely given. Curl up with a warm afghan and a mug of cocoa, and enjoy this sweet holiday treat from Mary Sue Jackson I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review
Tate and Olivia meet on a cruise, fast forward 5 years and Olivia is a single mum of twins who is waiting to be rescued after one of her daughters hurts herself. Who should one of the rescuers turn out to be, yep it’s Tate. This story explores what happened after the cruise, how Olivia tried to find Tate and how she managed to bring up her girls. A nice story with good interaction from all the characters.

A wonderful story for any time of the year This is one of those books you won’t want to put down until you’ve been able to finish it. You’re going to love Olivia and Tate in their second chance for a loving life together. After he has rescued her along with her twin daughters, he takes them to his home. Will they be able to make a go of it this time, or will his reluctance ruin what could be a life full of joy. Great characters, story, and writing make this another must read by this wonderful team. Olivia and Tate meet on a cruise and seem well on their way to falling in love. Then Olivia gets called home unexpectedly and in all the rush forgets to let Tate know. Five years later, Olivia is snowshoeing with her twin daughters when one slips down a ravine and twists her ankle. When their rescuer arrives, she is very surprised to find Tate staring down at her and their girls. Is this fate giving them a second chance or just another opportunity to be hurt?

I have so far never been disappointed by a story associated with Leslie North and this one is no different. Olivia and Tate get a wonderful second opportunity to fall in love and raise a family. Bolstered by a small town community and wonderful friends and family. This story will make you laugh and bring tears to your eyes as you ride the roller coaster that makes it such a perfectly Romantic story. I just adored the characters and the feeling of love that is evident throughout the book.
A grand second-chance romance. What a great read for a thanksgiving day read! It was quick with a great pace and beautifully written. This is not a boy meets girl kind of sweet romance. No, this one is supercharged right from the beginning. Olivia and Tate meet, have fun and lose touch, then just to be back into each other lives with some major twists occurring year later. I loved Lucy and Thomas! Oh, the epilogue was priceless! I highly recommend this holiday goodie.
Snowed in With the Rancher is a great second chance romance book. The characters are well developed, likable, and relatable. The twins are adorable. The storyline is well written and kept my interest from start to finish, with an injured child, an unexpected family, humour, and a second chance for romance. Will Tate take the chance that fate has given him or will his fear of loss win out?

This book is so good! Tate and Olivia are a whirlwind of surprises and emotions. From the first time they meet, till they meet again. I couldn’t put it down. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Snow, hunky ranchers and a long lost love. You can't ask for more really! This was a nice, quick and easy Read that made a nice fuller for in between more heavy Reads.
Olivia and Tate met in a cruise ship and they instantly connected. But in the middle of it she had to leave out of the blue, her parents had died! And left Tate without explanation (totally understandable), but that was not how he saw that, since he didn’t know what happened. And also didn’t know how to get in touch with each other so they moved on with their lives. 5 years later they met each other in a shocking way but now she had twin daughters and he was the father! Well I’m not here to tell the whole story, you will need to read and be in love with it such as I was. Olivia is an amazing woman, so strong, brave, heart of gold.
For me, this book was much more than a simple romance. It made me think as well. It touched me emotionally in large scale. Sometimes people go through some things in live that we think it will define who we are. And I have my own issues with this, I’m think I’m defined by something of my past. Well, Tate also thought about this, he thought he wasn’t worth of having a family or love. He thought that everyone would leave him and he was destined to be alone. At some point he was kind of good with this in his mind, he just wanted to be alone with his dog.
So it was beautiful to read his growth and how Olivia and his wonderful daughters were there to give him everything he thought he didn’t need. Or if it was possible for him. His emotional evolution was so well written and he was able to solidify the meaning of it all because of a scary situation, even I was afraid that the authors would go too far to prove a point, literally scared!
The epilogue was a beautiful conclusion of the book and only made me love Olivia and Tate so much more! I could have read so many more books about them. I will totally miss the whole troop!
Olivia and Tate meet on a cruise five years ago. Tate never taking a vacation was practically made to leave the ranch and go. He would meet Olivia the first day and would find that they were a match with what they liked to do and she also made him try things he never did like snorkeling. Then when they returned to the ship one afternoon with plans to meet for dinner Olivia is called away to the captain’s office for a ship to shore phone that would change her life. One she found out her parents were killed in a car accident and later would find out she was pregnant. Not ever exchanging last names or phone numbers she had no way of contacting Tate. He took it as another person leaving him like his mother did when he was young. Five years later and she is moving from Seattle to Montana for a job and just maybe she can run into Tate again. Well her prayers are answered when one of her daughters is injured and they are stuck in the snow when a storm comes in. the man who comes and rescues them is none other than Tate who she recognizes immediately. He takes the three of them to his cabin close by and from there the story turns into one that has him not wanting to be part of the family. He loves her and the girls he just doesn’t know how to get over the feeling of he is not to have a family or be a father. This works for him (not) when he tells Olivia she can be with anyone and the first guy out several he sees giving her their numbers change his mind quickly but it is still a work in progress. Turns out to be a good book and the characters are all very good as well. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 4 stars Follow us at www.1rad-readerreviews.com
Imagining a socially awkward cowboy, who doesn’t deal well with people, being forced to take a cruise by his family because he had been working too hard and needed a vacation was a picture that stuck in my mind; Tate was certainly out of his element. Then, he meets Olivia and it’s as if he can suddenly relax and be himself, something he seems to have had little of in his life. Although the prologue is brief, it’s clear that these two have a special connection, but three days later, she’s gone. Fast forward five years. Tate and Olivia are reunited through a series of coincidences (or fate, if you believe in that sort of thing), but Olivia is no longer alone. Shocked to discover he is the father of twin girls, the story then takes off from there. At a few points in the book, I almost thought Tate may have been on the spectrum given the way he acted. Totally convinced that he’s not meant to be a family man, he tries to avoid Olivia and the girls, making their stay uncomfortable and sad. Thank goodness for Tate’s parents, who picked up the slack. They were a wonderful couple, who welcomed Olivia and the twins with open arms. I loved the rapport they had with Jackie and Melissa, who both seemed to be aching for other adults in their life. Despite his desire to be with Olivia and the girls, it’s heart-rending to watch Tate remain on the periphery, until he realizes he may lose Olivia unless he steps up to the plate. However, it’s not until he almost loses his family forever that he realizes what’s truly at stake. I’m not ashamed to admit I shed a few tears over this one. Olivia Wickham easy going, fun loving, single girl, on a vacation cruise. Tate McConnell stubborn, grumpy, lack of social capabilities (almost to the point he would make an excellent recluse), on a shall we say forced vacation cruise gift from dad and stepmother. Oh, did I mention Olivia is absolutely stunningly beautiful and Tate is a sexy handsome Cowboy! They find each other on the cruise and spend every minute together until Olivia just up and disappears, Tate is devastated, he can’t understand why she wouldn’t come tell him she was leaving. Fast forward five years and Olivia, Jackie and Melissa end up in a small town in Montana, a job transfer. They go on a wilderness hike and get separated from the group and presumed lost and/or injured. A volunteer search and rescue team member that is also a local rancher shows up to rescue them. Olivia looks up to talk with the rescuer and she would recognize those eyes anywhere, Tate the father of her 4 year old twin daughters that he doesn’t know he has! Big huge storm brewing, nowhere for Tate to take them for shelter other than his home. Situations start happening and moving faster than what Tate can handle, can he put his fears and doubts aside and be able to bring his family together and make them a whole, happy, family? Will Olivia be able to give Tate the time he needs to adjust to all this new information or will she let him go and move in herself? This is a terrific story. I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed. Love this author’s stories! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tate is a sexy alpha cowboy rancher and works on the rescue team in the mountains of Montana. He is the ultimate loner. Tate’s mom died when he was 12 and he has been having a hard time dealing with it even into his adult life. Olivia and Tate meet when the two find themselves on a cruise ship and their attraction and chemistry is felt by both. The two spend sizzling passionate nights together. Olivia leaves the cruise without a word leaving Tate alone and hurt as someone else has left him. The two only exchanged first names. The two meet again when Olivia takes a job in Montana. Olivia and her 4-year-old twin daughters Jackie and Melissa get disconnect from their tour guide when Jackie takes a fall and injures her ankle. Take comes to their rescue and both Tate and Olivia remember each other. Tate takes them back to his cabin. He then learns the reason Olivia left the ship was that her parents had been killed in an accident. He also learns that Jackie and Melissa are his daughters. Tate has a lot going in his life that he has deal with and cope better. He doesn’t know how to be a father and he is also dealing with his feelings for Olivia and the girls. When the girls learn that Tate is their father; they simply adore him and are glad that he is in their life.
Is Olivia, Jackie and Melissa the trio that Tate needs to open up again to life and love, Can Tate and Olivia have a second chance at romance and become a family?
