Superb series!!

Neve, a student, and Egan a history professor, become Private Investigators after Neve’s best friend kills herself. Neve doesn’t believe it was suicide and so begins the investigative duo. The first case uncovers a human trafficking ring; their second case the recovery of a stolen necklace from WWII; their third a serial killer who targets gifted young women; and the final case Egan goes after the common denominator in all the cases, the Sorter, after Neve is shot and is in a coma.

A most unlikely pair saves the day.
She loses her best and only friend and won't accept that it might be suicide. She and her blind professor investigate and find themselves in loads of dangerous situations.
But that, and their newfound friendship, makes them feel alive again.
I really enjoyed this! Ash and Lexa make such a wonderful sleuthing couple! And don't forget Matthew...

Wow! What an incredible series to read!

I highly recommend this fascinating PI series set in London, unlike any others I’ve read before. I’d score this series 10/10 as it was so riveting I couldn’t put it down. Each story builds on the one before, coming to a dramatic climax in Book 4. Kudos to the author for a magnificent series which I loved.

Good book

I liked this book set a lot and recommend it to everyone. What could happen to a young woman and a blind professor, after all she was a student turned PI, he was a professor who was blind! She asked him for help solving a mystery and the next thing you know he is going out with her to solve all sorts of mysteries and even murders.

They are PIs and one is blind and they work well together. They will have four different cases in this box set. So follow them as they try to solve each case. Will they solve each one? How will they do it? See how they do it

Very good read

I enjoyed the characters, no other book I've read has had a blind man let alone a college professor as a main character.

Neve & Egan Cases (Box Set)

An exceptional series which I came across almost by accident and I’m so glad that I did.
Alexandra Neve is a student at UCL and Ashford Egan her history professor.
Egan blind since his early teens is an acerbic, emotionally withdrawn but highly intelligent person who refuses to be defined by his disability and who initially becomes drawn into Lexa’s quest to find the truth behind her best friend’s sudden death, a death ruled as suicide by the Metropolitan Police but a verdict Lexa refuses to accept.
Lexa herself is a socially awkward, unconventional but extremely observant young woman and their first unofficial investigation draws them into the dark world of human trafficking and gives them their first glimpse of a mysterious character know only as The Sorter.
Following the somewhat successful outcome of this investigation the duo form the “Neve & Egan Private Eyes Detective Agency” and their subsequent adventures lead deeper into the conundrum of “just who is The Sorter?”
Filled with memorable and multiple characters ranging from Homicide Detectives to Russian Mafia, serial killers to hired assassins, and situations including bombings, kidnappings, assaults and both attempted and actual murders, this series runs at a pace that will leave you both breathless and possibly sleepless as they are very hard to put down.
Cristelle Comby also delves deep into the psyches, personalities, motivations and backgrounds of her protagonists and antagonists creating complex psychological thrillers. Her backgrounds are vividly painted and detailed without being too verbose. The situations various characters are drawn into are well plotted, never implausible and packed with enough detail that one can fully understand and appreciate.
Whilst this Box Set is complete in itself I wouldn’t be surprised to find Ms Comby returning to these characters that she has so lovingly created.
