Enticing Liam

Rate this book
From New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby comes an all new story in her bestselling Big Sky Royal series!

Princess Eleanor has had it up to her royal eyeballs. She’s surrounded by suitable men, each more rude and obnoxious than the last. None of them are worthy of her heart—not to mention her virginity. So what’s a girl to do? Flee to Montana to stay with her brother, lay low, and avoid both the media and the men, that’s what.

Liam Cunningham is the head of security in Montana for the royal family. For a man who has seen the worst of human nature in the Army, being in Cunningham Falls is a balm to his tattered soul.

Princess Eleanor, on the other hand, is a royal pain in the butt. She’s proven in the past that she’s a troublemaker. She’s also beautiful, smart, and everything good in life that he doesn’t deserve.

But when Ellie proposes the idea of Liam being her sex coach, how can he resist?

Enticing Liam was a sweet and interesting story of Princess Eleanor just trying to live her life to the fullest. Aka being able to seduce her hot and seemingly unattainable bodyguard, Liam. They're from completely different worlds but with a connection like theirs it's almost impossible to ignore.

Ellie and Liam's chemistry that was undeniable and Liam tried and keep Ellie at arms length, which was fun to see, but I loved the moments he finally gave in to her even more. They were great together and made a really fun story. Sometimes Ellie was a little too innocent for me and I struggled with that at times, especially when it led to some misunderstandings with Liam but I still liked her character. And it actually made me love Liam even more to see those moments that he was patient and took things slow with her that then ended up being some very steamy scenes.

Overall, this was a fun and cute story that I would definitely recommend reading. I struggled at times but only because of my own preferences and not being the biggest fan of overly innocent heroines. But I think that most people who read this story will enjoy it.

Favorite Quotes:

“My flowers look like a drunk elephant put them together.” I stare at my pitiful bouquet in disgust.

I’m telling you because I think you’re attractive, and I like it when you touch me, and maybe you should teach me all about the sex.

He smiles, a rare expression that would knock a woman on her bum from ten paces.

There are so many things I need to say to you, Eleanor, but nothing is as important as telling you that I love you more than anything or anyone I’ve loved in my life. You’re the reason I breathe…

My Review:

This was pure escapism and a sweet and sexy fairy tale involving a modern-day princess and her security guard, which is a familiar fantasy and popular trope. Face it, we ALL want to be some version of Meghan Markle. But, maybe not as a twenty-five-year-old virgin. Uhm, no thank you. The story was a steamy and rich fantasy and even though it was as realistic as Fifty Shades, somehow it still managed to be a pleasantly entertaining diversion and a fast and easy to follow read.

Okay read.
The heroine didn’t work for me and her character seemed much younger then her age. Her dialogue and actions came across immature. Hero was okay. Story line was not the best as well.

4 ‘All Of Me’ Stars

What a charming, sweet and sexy read! Enticing Liam truly entices us to such a feel good, happy place. Who doesn’t love a good bodyguard/secret romance story?! Liam and Ellie’s story fit that to a T, with some added royal sparkle. Absolutely tantalizing!

This Big Sky Royals – actually all the Big Sky books – have such a heart warming vibe, even when we are considering royals as main characters, that is impossible not to be completely charmed by this ‘world’ and its people. Liam and Eleanor proves exactly that.

“You’re everything wonderful in this world that I don’t deserve. And I’ll be damned if I can bring myself to let you go.”

“That’s my line.”
“You keep me safe all day. I can protect you from this. Trust me.”

“Here I am. All of me. And the only reason I can do this is because I trust you. Not just with my safety, but also with me. All of me.”

Being from completely different life backgrounds, Eleanor and Liam, the Montana chief of security, have tried to ignore their attraction since that very first meeting one year ago, but now with Ellie back to stay for a long period of time, to get away from everything, and Liam being ‘forced’ to take on as her bodyguard, there is no way to deny that chemistry any longer. Specially when one druken night Ellie makes a revelation and a proposal that as much as Liam forces himself to deny, he just can’t stay away from his princess. It was impossible to ignore this level of yearning, after all! ;)

“Anything worth doing is worth doing well.” He nibbles on my shoulder, pushing the strap of my tank out of his way. “And I’m going to do you very well.”

“You smell fucking amazing,” I whisper.
“What do I smell like?”
“Mine.” I kiss her chin. “You smell like mine, Eleanor.”

Kristen Proby once again rocked the ‘behind the crown’ world. I’m a sucker for this combination of royalty with small town romance. Add to it the secret romance, bodyguard/princess combo and I was beyond thrilled for this book and it sure lived up to all my expectation! Both Liam and Ellie proved to be endearing, and complex characters, and of course the ever-present KP stamp of REAL and relatable characters – specially difficult when talking about royals, but yep, she does it like no other! – charming settings and incredible friendships and side characters, evidently Enticing Liam had to be a success for me. Perfect measure of sweet, sexy, emotional and funny! And oh man, as much as I want to nut punch Callum, I so want to see Aspen put him in his place, so I’m simultaneously scared and excited for their own tale!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I love you more than anything or anyone I’ve loved in my life. You’re the reason I breathe.

Royals, bodyguard and sort of age gap.

I love this author, I truly do. I love her stories and her characters, and that is why I'm so sad I didn't enjoy this book so much.
The story was sweet, there were sexy times and it was enjoyable, but I couldn't connect with either main characters.

Don't get me wrong, I love the age difference, I love that she had close to none experience and it's bodyguard romance, but I didn't buy their love.
I thought Liam was condescending, sometimes a jerk and selfish. He felt it was ok for him to act differently when he was working, but couldn't accept the same when Eleonor was in her element. I understand the difference must be hard for him, but he was so unsupportive.
Eleonor was genuine, but sometimes she had no idea what was going on, and I couldn't even blame that on her inexperience. She was just naive and unsuspecting.

I didn't feel their love, and sometimes I even wondered if they were right for each other.
I might be an isolated opinion here and, again, I wish I had enjoyed this book more, because I love this author.
There are many other books by her that I loved way more, and that is why I'll keep reading her. I just think maybe this one isn't my thing.

4.5 Royal Stars

This is the second book in the spin off Big Sky Royal series. Eleanor is a spit fire and I looked forward to reading her story. Clearly she is a woman who speaks her mind but also has a great heart. She escapes to Montana to stay with her brother after a rude suitor encounter. What she doesn't expect is for her heart to fall head over heals for her security detail, Liam.

These two just worked for me. Liam stayed professional as long as he could. Ellie was persistent and eventually, their hearts won out. Loved seeing her brothers again. Great setting-- always. Girls night is always a hit with this author. Humor and alcohol make for a good read. Great HEA with Liam and Eleanor. Perfect story for a perfect Princess.

Can't wait for Callum's story. I have a feeling he is going to be working for his sweetie.

Ahhhhh how I love a good Princess story, falling for her bodyguard I loved it. I loved everything about this story. From being the only girl in the family to healing Liam’s soul with hers. I just loved it.

The sneaking around at first was cute too.
The hidden depth from both of them really gave this story that little bit extra.

Also YES to the narration I love Lance’s voice and Jennifer Mack is a perfect Princess and her accent was impeccable.

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Kristen Proby!! Enticing Liam is book 2 of the Big Sky Royals series and I want more!! This cover says it all!! I don't know any woman who doesn't feel loved by a forehead kiss. This is a bodyguard trope and I am here for it!! Ellie and Liam are so cute and then they get hot. This was a very fast read but any extraneous information would not have fit with the book. There was just enough mystery and drama. I really like the royal aspect. I love the crossover of characters from other books. Kristen Proby's characters are flawed humans who just want happiness and love. I will always read a series by Kristen Proby.

I can't wait for the next book. I'm hoping it's Aspen & Cullum.

Got to luv a hot bodyguard.

I'd been looking forward to this book since Enchanting Sebastian. Liam is the bodyguard of Sebastian Eleanor's brother. Liam is a very intense man and has been through a lot but working for the Prince has alway been good there might if been some crazy even scary moments but it's part of the job. The job that he takes very seriously and will do everything in his power to protect whoever him is looking after. At this time it's Eleanor/Ellie this young woman has him torn up she is beautiful smart and so caring. But he can't go there with her no matter what he feels he needs to control his self. That's hard when she is right under his nose and he is dying to get close but if he does he doesn't think he can let her go.

Eleanor is sweet I really like her. She has had the hits for Liam since she can remember but he's Sebastian bodyguard and she can't go there. Plus she's to busy getting rid of the horrible men her father the King as planned for her. But them men don't see her for her they see her for the crown and what it will bring them. They just want to use her and she's not goin to deal with that anymore. When she gets a chance to spend more time with Liam when he becomes her bodyguard she doesn't make it easy on him. Eleanor knows what she wants and it Liam in everywhere she just hopes her plan works and she can finally get close enough so he can see who she is without being the princess.

I enjoyed this book and would recommend it. The story was good but I did think there was goin to be more drama with Beau. It was so need I wanted him to get what he deserved he isn't a nice guy. But I did enjoy reading how Eleanor got Liam to loosen up and break down his walls a bit. The story flowed well like all Kristen's books. I luv her writing the story's alway suck me in and I hate putting the book down. I'm looking forward to Callum's book next this guy is goin to have to work hard to get on the good side of Aspen. So excited for this cocky Prince to work for a change.

I absolutely love Kristen Proby's Big Sky series and getting a Royals spin off was icing on the cake. I immediately fell in love with the Wakefield's during Enchanting Sebastian and was giddy with all the possibilities the first book in the Big Sky Royals series opened up. And, let's be honest; the cover for book 2, Enticing Liam, is absolutely gorgeous!!

Ellie & Liam's story will warm your heart!! While the Wakefield's are based out of London, so much of the story is based in Montana and I'm now convinced that only beautiful things happen there & I really need to visit. Being in Montana gave Ellie the ability to let her guard down and just be herself. It let Liam see and fall in love with who she really was without, all the royal trappings that have surrounded her her whole life. It gave them the privacy they needed to navigate through the first few weeks of coupledom without all the added pressures that being a royal entails. And they definitely needed that time together before reality came crashing back down upon them.

“You have quickly become the best part of my life, Liam. I know it’s not going to be easy, and there are more pieces to this puzzle than there would be for most people , but we can make it work. Because I’ve come alive since I met you, and I can’t imagine my life without you. You can fit in here, or anywhere, as long as we stick together.”

Despite it all, they managed to make it work and I couldn't be happier! Okay, fine, I would've loved a royal wedding, but we can't always have our cake and eat it too. Although, I'm extremely thrilled with epilogue and the sneaky-peek it provided into the next book in the series...bring on Callum & Aspen! ❤

~ 5 Princess Stars ~

If I’ve said it once, I will say it again….Kristen Proby sure knows how to write romance novels!! I always get swept away in her stories and characters lives.

I am a sucker for a Royal romance and Kristen truly delivers. I love her Big Sky Royal series. They are the perfect blend of her past characters and this new royal family that are AMAZING!!!

Enticing Liam is the second book in this series and it was just as great as the first book. These books are the perfect escape from the real world. They are fairly easy reads and will leave you with a smile on your face and a warm heart. This book was swoony, romantic and truly enjoyable between two people who shouldn’t connect but totally do!!!

This is an opposites attract. It’s between Princess Eleanor (Ellie) and Liam a member of her security detail. Liam was amazing!! My heart broke for him. He struggled so much in life after getting out of the Army. I loved seeing Ellie being his light in the dark and opening his heart up to something more :)

The Big Sky Royal Series is a spin off of Kristen’s other Big Sky series, but you DON’T have to read that series to enjoy this one. Although, speaking from experience, once you read this series, you will WANT to read her Big Sky series!!!

This story was a fairly quick read, but it lacked for nothing. You get all the feels you want to feel in a 5 star read. This story is told in Dual POV. I felt the flow and pace of the story was great.

I loved seeing all of the Big Sky characters again in this story. It reminds me of the great friendship these people have. Making everyone wish they had friends like them. I also liked that we got to see Callum more in this book and were introduced to some new Montana characters. I can’t wait to read Callum’s book next ;)

So if you are looking for a low angst, sweet, and swoony royal romance that will sweep you off your feet, then this is the book for you. This book was perfect to escape for an afternoon read. If you are a fan of Kristen Proby’s books, you don’t want to miss this newest series!! It was truly entertaining!!!

Fleeing to her family's estate in Montana, Princes Eleanor is trying to get away from the nonsense of marriage proposals just to get into her royal family. Head of security Liam is tasked with her protection detail. But when Ellie decides that she wants to cash in her V card, Liam is the one in her sites. Can Liam show her what being with a real man is really like without all of the emotion and attachment? Or will the two figure out once the ball is rolling other factors are now part of the game? I fell in love with Liam from the opening pages. Perfect combination of hot alpha male dominance while still needing a big giant hug. Absolutely loved it!!

M/F Romance
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed it a lot.

Princess Eleanor is young at heart, but wants to experience life. She travels to her brother's house in Montana to get away from her life for a little while. She knows exactly what she wants in a partner and what she doesn't, and while she knows that her parents love her, they keep setting her up with losers.

Liam is Eleanor's brother's bodyguard - head of security. He is a great bodyguard, but sometimes can be gruff. He has thought that Eleanor was the most beautiful woman he's ever seen, but with his past, he doesn't really believe that he deserves someone who is so pure of heart.

Eleanor isn't going to let a little hesitance on Liam's part deter her. She dives head in. These two have a somewhat strange relationship start, but learn to see past the masks they each wear. And, while you want to cheer them on, I did find that Eleanor's youngness did get in the way quite a bit. She was incredibly immature and it was annoying to see her make the same mistakes over and over.

With all of the characters you've grown to love, this story will leave you smiling and laughing. I can't wait for the next one.

I wish I could peak into Kristen Proby’s Brain! Seriously...she can introduce us to the most swoon worthy men, and make us feel like one of the girls when it comes to the women! I love being able to feel with the characters and go through getting to know them! It also makes my heart happy to get a peek on some of my past beloved characters and see how they are doing! This book was sweet and romantic and everything you expect a Kristen Proby book to be. A solider-turned-bodyguard with a heavy past and a princess living two lives. I liked these two characters together, I think Ellie opened up Liam more than he was ready for but I liked seeing the characters evolve throughout the book. I loved going back to Cunningham Falls to visit some old friends!

Princess Eleanor doesn’t have many places she can hide out to avoid royal pressure, but her brother’s house in Montana is peaceful and she can get there without too much trouble. Hiding from a series of failed suitors, Ellie just wants to relax without feeling like she has to put on a show.

Liam Cunningham has been the head of security for the royals in Montana, protecting Sebastian. But when Ellie arrives unscheduled and Sebastian is scheduled to be out of town, Liam takes over her protection so her regular bodyguard can go on paternity leave. Normally the shift in duties wouldn’t be a problem, but there is an attraction simmering between them that challenges Liam’s normally laser focus.

The sparks fly between these two fly almost immediately, though they do try to keep a certain amount of decorum between them. Liam is determined to treat Ellie right and follow certain rules, even as Ellie is determined to throw caution to the wind and start something between them. I loved the balance between Ellie’s playful side and Liam’s stoicism. But they also have royal duties to contend with, and the pressure from society will be huge if they go public with their relationship.

This was a sweet, fun return to the royal contingent at Cunningham Falls, as well as a return to many of the Big Sky families. The cameos of favorite characters was entertaining, and I can’t wait to see what happens if Callum spends a little more time in Montana with his brother.

Enticing Liam is the second book in the Big Sky Royals series and like the first book in this series it is a cute, sweet book that left me with a smile on my face. The Book is short and I read it in a few hours and although this book does not bring much revelation or surprise, the cute romance between Liam and Ellie captured my attention and I found myself smiling with them. A read for those looking for something sweet and romantic.

Princess Eleanor has taken off from London to hide out in Montana with her brother and new sister-in-law. She is sick of royal setups and men out to use her for her title. And now she is coming face to face again with one of the security personnel again. The hot guy she pissed off the last time she was there.

Liam is the Head of Security for the royals in Montana. He is serious, focused, broody, and has lasting effects from his time in the military and a traumatic event in his past. Ellie knows how to push his buttons. Last year she caused a royal incident that hit too close to home for Liam.

He knows she is trouble, but he is also unfortunately attracted to her. And Ellie is determined to convince Liam to help her gain experience in sexual relations. Liam takes his job seriously and he knows it is a bad idea and she should be off-limits, but she is tempting and persistent.

It was certainly not supposed to involve feelings, but things happen. On paper they don't match, but in life they seem to have potential. But can their love affair survive two different worlds, classes, and personal issues?

This is an engaging, sweet, and sexy love story taking us from Montana to London. I really liked Liam and Ellie individually and together, although I did want to shake sense into them at times for their rash behavior and failure to properly communicate. I think I expected more external issues, but it dealt more with personal insecurities and a bit of relationship angst. I enjoyed being back in inter-connected community of Cunningham Falls and visiting with their friends and family. I am looking forward to the next book in this series featuring the younger royal brother, Callum.

Princess Eleanor - Ellie - daughter of the King and Queen of England, runs away from an insistent suitor, going to visit her brother Sebastian (the one who was supposed to be next on the throne, but abdicated for love) in Cunningham Falls , Montana.
Even though she was visiting discreetly, the security team needed to be on standby.
Ellie had her personal security chief, Phillip, who traveled from London to United States with her. However, Ellie thought about staying there for a long time, and he was about to be a father a second time.
Freeing Phillip to return home, Liam Cunningham, Prince Sebastian's chief of security, was responsible for her.

To his despair ...

Eleanor had a reputation for being a little spoiled and doing things her way. Furthermore, there was an incident recently involving her, a boat and a bomb, which put Liam in even greater concern about taking care of her.
But Ellie really wanted to be quiet.

Not to mention that in her opinion, Liam was grumpy, but extremely sexy in his role as a bodyguard.
As they would have to spend some time together, who knows, he might not be able to help her get rid of a certain "inconvenience" (her V-card)?

Join a crazy overprotected princess for a normal romantic life, and a competent and handsome bodyguard attracted by the princess, and we have a story full of romance, funny scenes and ... the peculiar drama that Proby's characters always present.
------

Enticing Liam is the second book in the Big Sky Royal series, spin-off of the Big Sky series, which currently has 11 books (5 by the author and 6 crossovers). In turn, the Big Sky series is linked to the original Love Under the Big Sky series, with 4 books.
It's a lot of character for you to meet and fall in love.

*Audiobook Review*

Enticing Liam is sweet romance between a bodyguard and a royal princess. I adored Ellie. She is a young woman tired of men that only want her for her royal status and is ready for a change of scenery. She shows up in Cunningham Falls on her brothers doorstep. Liam is the Head if Security for the royals in Montana. He is former military and is dealing with internal and external battle wounds. Ellie is a virgin and manages to convince Liam to be her teacher in the bedroom. Liam knows this is a bad idea but soon cannot resist his deep connection and attraction to her. I adored Liam’s sweet side. The gestures like kisses on her forehead were so sweet. He was sweet one moment and broody and sinfully sexy the next. I had wished the two would open up a little sooner than they did. The only fault between Liam and Ellie was communication. The narration was good. Perfectly done by Lance Greenfield. Jennifer Mack is one of my favourite narrators but in this one the switch between English and American accents threw me off at times. I am looking forward to Callum and Aspen’s story next.

Enticing Liam is our second visit into the Royals spin off from the Big Sky series. The characters and settings overlap, so you are able to visit with friends from past books.

Ellie is a true British princess and the youngest in her family. It's expected she will marry and uphold traditions. She has a line of suitors waiting to help her with this, but none is interested in her. They only want the title. So, she takes off to her brother's getaway place in Montana to relax and disappear for a bit. Unfortunately (or, really, fortunately) for her, she is put in the position of having to be guarded by Liam; her brother's head of security for the Montana compound.

I really liked the character Ellie because she is young and can make mistakes, but she owns them and learns from them. Her character is not an indulgent brat. She's very sweet and intelligent. We get to experience Liam learning all this for himself. Liam, being a former Army Ranger, has plenty of demons he needs to come to terms with and also needs to learn his own self worth.

I absolutely recommend this sweet, romantic love story. Another great Kristen Proby gem.

It’s time to return to the wonderful world of the Royals and Cunningham Falls created by the talented Kristen Proby in Enticing Liam. Boy, is he ever enticed by the beautiful and smart Princess Eleanor. Liam is the bodyguard for Ellie’s brother, Prince Sebastian while in Cunningham Falls. The chemistry between these two is off the charts...just WOW! They both have to learn how to have a private relationship in a very public life. You get to visit with many of the characters from previous books who live in Cunningham Falls which is always so much fun to get a glimpse of their lives and how they have a connection with the newest characters. Will these two learn how to have that private relationship in a public life? Go check it out!! I love this world and all the worlds created by Kristen Proby and how they are so interconnected. So much fun. The hotness level of Liam alone is worth the read. Liam and Ellie together? Super hot!! For a fun read with wonderful characters, great storyline and writing you will not be disappointed in Enticing Liam by Kristen Proby. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. 5 stars*****

5 Star review of Enticing Liam (The Big Sky Series #2) by Kristen Proby

Audio Review:
I loved his book and was absolutely riveted from the first to the last chapter. The performance from narrators Lance Greenfield and Jennifer Mack really brought this story to life for me and I was sad when the story ended.
I fell hard and fast for Liam Cunningham, he ticked all the boxes for me and was totally swoon worthy. I really liked Princess Eleanor (aka Ellie) and together she and Liam make a wonderful couple.
I loved how both Ellie and Liam were so all in with their secret relationship. I also loved how much they both grew as their relationship progressed, particularly Ellie. She went from a naive young woman, to a woman who could hold her own.
My heart was torn as Liam struggles with his place in her “royal life”, it is obvious that he loves Ellie but can he handle the being a part of the life that is Princess Eleanor?

Enticing Liam by Kristen Proby is the second book of The Big Sky Royals series. This time around, Princess Eleanor has had enough of false pretenses and hidden agendas from her suitors-guys who just want a title and all the trappings-so, she flees London. Ellie goes to Montana to her brother for some peace and quiet and no suitors. Her only possible obstacle is Liam, the sullen and serious bodyguard. He, however, thinks she is kind of a spoiled brat. Neither Ellie nor Liam relish the idea of sharing time together, but it is what it is. There is one thing that Ellie might need from Liam, such as assistance for...something. I won't give it away with spoilers. The interaction between these two changes and twists into something unexpected but not unwelcome. Ellie and Liam are dynamite with a great dynamic, and I loved their story. I was totally entertained and absorbed in this royal romp. Try this one if you are interested in royalty or romcoms or chicklit because it's a treat!

Another great love story by Kristen. I'm sure I say that every time but I do look forward to reading her books. EVERY. TIME. This one is no exception. The story was sweet, romantic, and yummy. Liam and Ellie make an excellent couple and their love is fast and intense.

I love that Liam wanted to teach her and his lessons were cute and sweet. I loved the make out point scene, and that he was super cautious about her being seen in town but still wanting to take her different places.

Ellie is sweet, if not a bit, sheltered living Royal life. I liked that she knew herself enough to not just sleep with whoever. She wanted to save it for someone who she saw as worthy. When she's drunk after a GNO had me laughing, I would have tripped just as much trying to walk around!

Overall the book was great, I was hoping for a little more suspense since Liam is the security guy but I did love the story and it sucked me right in from page one! I loved seeing other favorite Cunningham falls residents and getting to see their lives in the big sky world now (Seth graduating college! 😭)
