Definitely home-style cooking with instruction like your grandmother wrote them (minimal). If you want to recreate a traditional Egyptian family meal, this is your book.

This book was written in 1984 from the perspective of someone moving to the middle-east and who may not be familia with some of the foods available. The book was well written but did not suit my needs.
