Since I liked the second book in this series so much (I didn't read the first) and since I needed a very quick read to squeeze in between writing and traveling, I got this book on Amazon. I wasn't expecting that much, to be honest, especially since the story was less than 100 pages. And not expecting too much was the right mindset to start this story.
This is a typical reverse harem that's for the biggest part about the sex. There is a very thin plot, but it's not really prominent and not really interesting. It doesn't even add that much to the story, actually. And the characters didn't get that much depth either. A lot of bonding between the characters has been done previous to this story and the few flashbacks can't really make up for that. It makes it hard to tell the guys apart and to really bond with the characters as a reader.
But, I wasn't bored either. It was amusing and entertaining. The sex was at least written well and the interaction between the characters was kinda sweet, despite the lack of emotional depth. It was not that impressive, but it was not a waste of time either. The perfect "I actually don't have much time to read, but I wanna keep on reading at least a book a day"-book.
The h has secret feelings for her 3 guy friends and living together and running a business isn't helping her get over her supposedly unrequited feelings. When a mate bond develops she doesn't want to accept it until her boys confess that they too have been secretly in love with her. A stalker however doesn't want them to enjoy their HEA.
********* If I hadn't read anything else from this author I'd have enjoyed this one ok enough, however the romantic set up is exactly as the series I've recently completed by her. It threw me off too much to really get into this admittedly short read.
Peridot is a quick sweet and fun romance that will leave you with a smile on your face. M. Sinclair does a great job, as always, of creating a interesting read that keeps the readers attention from the beginning to the end. Perfect for Halloween or just a good quick Happily Ever After.
Peridot is a stand alone within the Jewels Café series, each written by different authors. Peridot follows Peridot and her three roommates. She has a huge crush on them but thanks to a certain pumpkin spice drink she now knows how they feel about her. But they are not the only ones who notice her.
What a great quick read. I really liked Peri, her personality and her interactions with the guys. Yeah, we do have some steamy scenes. Also very much enjoyed the epilogue, with a perfect ending.
Short, packed with love and steam with a bit of action. I really enjoyed this! It took me out of my reading slump and gave me everything I needed. Thank you M. Sinclair, luv ya!!!
WOW!! This book was amazing! If you love reading about Faes then you need to read this one. The story gets to the point real quick. There is no beating around the bush with these characters.
Peridot, Ruslan, Reaghan and Oryn live in Silver Springs and they own a restaurant. The secrets that they keep from each other is about to be exposed. So Peridot has some strong feelings for Ruslan, Reaghan and Oryn. She has known them for years and she doesn't think they see her as anything but a friend. So she goes about her life not trying to think of the what if's. So she meets a guy name Jimmy at Jewels Cafe. She does not see him as anything but an acquaintance. However, she goes to the cafe one day and gets her a PSL. OHHH let the games begin. So what will happen? Will the guys admit the truth? Will they lose her?
Overall this book was exciting and mind blowing. The heat level is up there so be prepared to fan yourself. I loved the happily ever after ending!!!
I love the Jewell’s cafe series and this is a great addition. Peridot is a fairy and she loves with her three best friends, who she has been in love with since they were 15. Unfortunately they don’t seem to feel the same way about her and she won’t ask in case she upsets their friendship. Peridot is a cute heroine and the guys are strong gorgeous protective and extremely sweet. I enjoyed the storyline a lot, this was a fantastic read

Friends to lovers fae story. Shorter than the others but with multiple POVs. Got a little confused with the two R names to start with. Its short, sweet and has a decent epilogue.
Fun series of stand alone books in a shared universe with a little bit of character cross over.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
Being a very short book, you shouldn't expect a lot of depth and plot to the story. This was a fun, quick read. Peridot is a fae whose parent's didn't really want to be parents and so left her pretty much to fend for herself from a young age. She doesn't know much about fae culture so when the mating bond fully kicks in, she is shocked. She does some research and decides to have a bit of fun with he guys. Throw in a little suspense with a stalker. And you have a short story that is more than just sex with fated mate fae. I would recommend this short read and plan to read more of the Jewel's cafe series.
This story was good; as in sweet and fun. Some of the aspects were cliche that probably everybody would have read at least once somewhere. But, this one knows how to do it right. It's about a girl who has just graduated high school and is in love with her three best friends since four years. She thinks they don't like her, whereas they...... Sex scenes are written well in this book. There was one instance where I felt she was being dumb. Something bad happens and she just takes it lightly. On top of that, she gets mad at the boys when they become concerned about her safety, by telling they were being over protective. Other than that, everything is fine.
I usually don’t care for single books, as I like there to be a huge plot and lots of character development, but this was an actually good book. I’ve been hesitant to read this universe simply because they’re single books with different characters and all of that jazz. But because it’s from my favorite author, I decided to give it a try, and I wasn’t disappointed!
It’s a nice, short, sweet love story between four (my favorite supernatural) Fae. I absolutely loved the sex scene with all of them. Whoo, need a fan.
Best book of the jewel series so far. Loved the men in this one, So glad they weren't too scared of their own shadow to defend their women from danger like sapphire's men were. Only wish it was as long as the other books in the series, speaking of please tell me why have the others got 2 or 3 books per character but peridot gets a tiny novella?. What an injustice!.😀
This is such a cute story telling how Peridot & her 3 best friends/housemates/business partners react to the mate bond.
One morning Peridot has a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Jewels Cafe and the adventure begins. She has been in love with her 3 best friends since all 4 were fifteen. Unbeknownst to her, all 3 fae men have known since that time that they were mates.
There is naive and then there is Peridot. She just does not know how the real world or her fairy world works. This is explained in the beginning with her parents pretty much abandoning her. Okay I guess! So she depends on her three best friends to learn about the fairy world. However, she has a lot of questions and never asks them. Why? And her friends had similarly shitty upbringings so how do they have all the answers? In the end she puts in an hour of effort and find the answers to all of her questions in a book. I just cannot understand why she wouldn't try to find out more about the fairy world before or how she can be so clueless to beginn with having lived among them her entire life. Don't get me started on her not noticing her friends interest. A guy sneaking into your bed to cuddle every night and making jokes about coming in your bed ... at this point he might as well take out a billboard.
Third book in the Jewel's Cafe series and it's another brilliant light hearted read, full of humour, love and magic.
I've read lots of M Sinclair's work, and this is simply brilliant (and far too short dammit, more please!).
Peridot adores her best friends, in fact loves them but thinks will neveer get beyond friend zoned. Turns out they love and want her as much as she wants them. Fast paced, fast burn and as stated too short for such good shininess!
This book felt...disorganized. It was like the author was unaware of how to write a short reverse harem book, so everything was kind of fast paced and all over the place? Even during the RH scene, it was hard to keep track of who was doing what and where everyone was. Therefore, I am giving it a 2.5. I liked the idea, the execution left a lot to be desired.
There is a cute story mixed in, just doesn’t get to stand out much. There are those who will find this perfect for what it is. Soft core woman’s fantasy.
I prefer more story. Mostly wanted a short story to try out this author. Not sure .. the dialogue was cringe at times, the story obvious, and way too much ott sex.
The author may write differently for novels, rather than shorts.. Depends on tbr pile 🤓🥸
This one of the set I think is my favorite so far. I say that mainly as the characters are fae and I have always had a weakness for Fae. The men are hot and possessive and the female lead is just right that she is sweet but strong. I also loved the little twist, although would have loved a little more info on it. Overall good book.
3.5 out of 5 stars. This was a sweet and insanely quick read. I really liked getting a peek into the fae side of Silver Springs. I really liked the writing style and how there was a bit of a past with everyone but the miscommunication bit wasn't entirely my jam. Definitely a fun installment in the series but not my favorite.
To me, this was not the best in the series, but definitely a read-worthy. A shot and fast passed tale of Peridot and her love interests. To me it was a little bit confusing - it seemed to fly here and there and back. All went on very fast, but she does get her trilogy of hot and protective men - no fay in the end.
Peridot has been in love since she was fifteen. The problem was, the three far men were her best friends. How can she make them notice her and remove her from friend-zone? A delightfully sweet story in the friends-to-lovers trope. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
ending had me smiling. Poor Peri didn't realise the guys she lives with are in fact her mates. She met them at 15 and they haven't outright told her. This brings hilarious situations and when she does find out, oh boy. And there is a stalker. The guys are in protection mode. Read to enjoy this book.
Phew *fans self* it is damn hot in here!? A brilliant tale of hope, love and the challenges of family. Throw in the super hot fae men and you have yourself pure happiness! Great read.
This is the third book in series and it was a joy to read. Multiple authors each writing a book makes this series wonderful. This author is one im not familiar with but this story was great and I'm looking into her other books now.
The story felt rushed. Like it needed more time to develop the characters. Peri and the other three mates needed more time to get attached to them as a reader.
