Feathers & Fire #2

Cursed to Crave

Rate this book
Captured again.
Just when I had a glimpse of what freedom could feel like, the Incubus King ripped my world out from under my feet.
I no longer know up from down, right from wrong, or if what I’m feeling is real or a figment of Romero’s power.
One thing I know for sure, I’m as addicted to him as he is to me.
In the fleeting moments when my sanity prevails, I latch on to the bonds with my fated mates.
Keegan, Orian, and Lachlan.
But through the foggy haze clouding my mind, I can no longer recall their faces or their names.
As Romero floods my veins with his sinister infusions, all I know is him.
All I want… is him.
Will my Phoenix warriors ever find me? Will I ever escape this madness?
Or will I forever be Cursed to Crave?

Cursed To Crave is book Two in the Feathers and Fire Series. The final book will end with HEA. This is a Dark, Paranormal, Reverse Harem Romance. Expect dark elements and explicit scenes. If such scenes might trigger or offend you, please do not buy this book.

Omg

I mean, just, dayum. I was just so wrapped up in this story. I never knew what was going to happen next, but I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen. Trinity, Ri, Lach, and Keegan are so right together, but they go through so much, and every time they think it's better, something happens.

I love these characters.

I enjoyed the continued story of Trinity and her mates. I was anxious to get to each new page to find out if Trinity would ever find her freedom. Just when you think she will make it home to her people, her father, and life with her mates something or someone snatches it all from her! The villians in this story are so evil, complicated and well written that you start rooting for a painful and excurciating end to them. I can't wait for the next part of Trinity's story. I truly have enjoyed her transformation from slave to a woman ready to fight for her freedom and love. I have a feeling her next transformation will also include becoming a liberator!

Some spoilers ahead.

Ugh.
The repetitive writing that contradicts the previous sentence is really difficult to get over so that you can enjoy the book. How can one throw their arms around someone when they already threw their arms around them in the previous sentence?

The lack of time line is also frustrating. Keegan mentions falling for her months ago, but we know that it was only one month between the time that they met and when she was taken by Romero. Then Trinity refers to being gone by only days.

This book was a lot smoother and less choppy, but Trinity’s inner monologue is rather annoying at times.

The idea behind this story is good and overall, the book was enjoyable, but it could have been so much better.

Some of the descriptions just don’t even make sense.

I have a thing for villains...

I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I can’t help but love Romero. I am always a sucker for a sexy villain and that is exactly what Romero is. I question my sanity more often than not when I’m reading dark books like this. I still love her Phoenix mates but I can’t help but enjoy Romero as a character.

Just like with book 1, this book is full of dark subject matters and triggers so be prepared. I think the gruesome torture was scared back a bit in book 2 compared to book 1 but the mental and emotional torture ramped up.

I can’t wait to read the final book even though I’m sure my beloved villain will meet his demise before the series is over.

Burning Beauty

Loxley has given us another slice of dark goodness! I thought I liked Romero, but let me tell you, this book made me want to gut him. We are held captive while Romero holds Trinity in his clutches, forced to watch as he moves to make her his queen. We also get a glimpse at the monster that men can become without her. I can’t wait to see what exciting journey rises from the ash in the next book!

Truly a great second book

I loved this second book. Though uncomfortable at times, it pushes the story forward and gives Trinity such great character development. I also enjoyed seeing her mates fight for her. Trinity learned so much about herself and her powers by the end of the book, though much of it was due to personal pain. It truly is a book that doesn't get enough love! Can't wait for book 3!

To dark for me

I didn't want to give this to much of a low rating as it was well written my only reason for it being a 3 star is because I got over half way and it was just to dark for me so I stopped reading. I usually enjoy dark books but to me this felt like their is never going to be a happy ending and it was just to upsetting for me.
The first one was dark but this was even darker.

This book will ruin you in the best way ever. Make sure you have tissues. I got #savaged for sure I may also need therapy after this. The book was amazing I've never hated someone so much but wanted to climb them like a tree at the same time. The feels smack you like a truck this book is intense and dark just how I like it. Now excuse me while I try to locate my shattered heart.

Don't let that pretty cover fool you - this is a dark book! Trinity and the guys are back for more harrowing adventures - this was a roller coaster ride, sure to have you glued to your chair!

It was great seeing Trinity growing and coming into her own - can't wait to see what the next book has in store! 💜

A must read

I love the way the author Loxley Savage builds up these characters ! They just pull you in and you can feel their emotions, from their anguish to their joy and lust. Wow I have not been able to stop reading and can not wait to read book 3. I definitely recommend this book.

Hmm

I absolutely loved the first book in this series. However, this second book read more like erotica than anything else. Don’t get me wrong, I love my steam 😏 but it did become a tad too much when not a lot happened but her various romps with the demon king, and her constant lust for him.

Okay, I liked the premise and idea of this series, and brutality really doesn't matter for me when reading. But I just didn't like how our FMC kept getting captured and then there was little resolve and build-up with her mates. I wanted more time with the mates than what was there instead with her torture and rape.

Good Book

The story is unique; I will keep reading on. This author is great but I can only read her stuff when I’m in very deep book slumps. Five stars for the originality of the story line, but there are parts where the plot seems dull and the characters seem 2D

Whoa!

Exciting and twisted! An original storyline that kept my attention from beginning to end. Characters to cheer for and others you’ll love to hate. Action and adventure and some seriously steamy scenes- *please note this contains triggers and torture- this is not for the faint of heart.

I was so wrapped up in this story, just waiting for the great escape! I LOVE how the FMC fights these battles herself and doesn’t cower behind her men. So so we’ll written! All the feels!!

Cursed to Crave is the second book in the Feathers and Fire series and continues the story where it end from book one.

Well, I don't know what to feel actually. I was in a myriad of emotions while reading this another captivating book from the author. I believe I was in a constant state of being hot and bothered with Romero while simultaneously feeling beyond frustrated and hating the guy. Talk about mixed emotions. I swear, I don't know whether to like or hate him. Okay, I will just settle with hating him then.

In any case, this book is undeniably hot! There is no other word to describe it so I'm warning you guys to get that cold drink ready or maybe a cold shower. You will need it to cool down, LOL.

Without giving away too much, Cursed to Crave showed us Trinity's time with Romero and I felt angry for her behalf most of the time. How she must be feeling used by every alpha male to further their own greed for power. It's too much for any woman to endure and I admire her strength of will, especially in the end to call that decision (you will have to read it to know what is was and why). Overall, I'm dying to read book 3 because that ending is just, ugh!

BISHHHH SO AMAZING! CAPTIVATING DARK AND EXTRA DIRTY 🤯

May the lord strike me down if I'm lieing but this book is honesty the most captivating book I've ever read and dont think I've ever had so many emotions from a book either! Romero!... you love him and hate him at the same time! Part if me kind of wanted him to be her mate also even though he was bad to her I felt he had more feelings for her than lust for her blood? As for her Phoenix mates they didnt fail to amaze me once again, was drooling over them! Ri still my favourite but felt very drawn to lach in this book. WHAT an ending! Think I cried a but at that cliff hanger! Chomping at the bit for book 3! Overall 10/10 and would recommend everyone read it! Boon 1 was brill but book 2 was abso-fooking-lutley amazeballs 🥰

Dark and so Naughty!

This dark baby is so worth it! its erotic, thrilling, and suspenseful! You will be shocked to see how exited this bad villain Romero makes you feel!!! So bad but so good! He is a controlling freak who loves pain and pleasure! you will question why he makes you so hot! Oh the emotions! 😱 But his spell wont work for long.. even villains fall. What goes up must go down. Thanks to the sexy trio phoenixes they come with fire and determination to get their princess back! This is not the perfect happy romance. Our heroine Trinity must face hell and look death in the eye if she ever wants to come back to her boys! Can’t wait for the next book 💜 read it with my Kindle Unlimited 😘

This series is very strange and extremely erotic, this second book more than the first. It was hard to distinguish who the bad guy was because his bad was SO good. I had to remind myself, free will is important.

The first half of the book was well written and then there seemed to be a rush at the end. The author pulls you into each scene, but the world-building is lacking. It’s hard to understand anyone’s motivation, but this may be due to the author rushing to publish, because the writer has the writing talent to expand our prospective, so we can imagine what the surrounding actually looks like other than ‘woods’ as a description of place.

This book emphasizes the erotica, not adventure or plot, but leaves you satisfied. I will continue the series.

Dark & Delicious

This book is dark, this book is RH so if those don't tickle you pink then this is not for you.
If your twisted like me then you need to stop what your doing and read this series right now.
This book is told from multiple view points so you get to see inside the minds of the predators ;)
This book is #2 in the series and follows Trinity through her queenly training with Romero and her warriors as they try and steal her back
So jump in and get your evil villain fantasy on!

Trinity is my hero!

Where do i even start?! I loved the first book but this one absolutely blew me away! Trinity is a very strong woman and my hero! I have a love hate relationship with Romero because as much as i want to hate him i just can’t seem to. I can not wait for the next book!!!! I am slowly dying because i need to know what happens next! This author has a way with words that you don’t see very often. You will get completely pulled into this story and never want to come out
