One final task to complete before they're released, but what price will it come with?

I never would have predicted I'd still be stuck in Mandora Supernatural Prison for as long as I have been, but I refuse to give up hope. No matter how long it takes, I'll find a way out from under the warden's twisted rule. More importantly, I'll do it the right way because a life on the run isn't one I'm after.

With the Fabled Four at my back, and my feisty fairy sidekick on my shoulder, I won't stop until we're all released from the hell we've been stuck in. But with tensions high, escape isn't as easy as it sounds while we hunt down those the warden wants.

It will take all the power I can acquire, and for our group to finally work as a team, in order for us to come out on top, but just when victory is in our sights, we realize not everything is as it seems.

The few months between this book and the first book being released didn't do me or this book any favors. If I was confused and frustrated with the names switching around in the first book, it was almost impossible to follow in this book. It's made worse because the characters refer to each other using both names interchangeably in the span of a sentence of two. It made for quite a few confusing conversations until I got in the groove again.

On a positive note, being in Cara's head this time around was less annoying. Though she did still make a big stupid decision at least she didn't end up dead. So silver linings and all that! I like how the progression of her powers is slow and steady with a few sporadic uses here and there due to her lack of control and training.

Cara's thing with Hawk is meh for me. It kind of feels forced but maybe that's just me projecting my dislike of grunting alpha-holes mistreating the heroine for no apparent reason. He isn't my favorite of the Fabled Four. Heck, I don't know if I even have a favorite considering how I was focusing so hard on keeping their names right that their personalities just blurred into one big mystery blob for me.

The plot is moving at a steady pace so far! I'm still very much intrigued about Cara's family history and how she plays into the war that's almost breaking out. There were some revelations at the end of this book but there are still way too many questions to be answered. Considering how much I liked this author's writing style I do intend to read the next book in this series.

My Favorite Quote:

"You are worthy of love and respect. You are everything your family never gave you credit for, and it's their loss, not yours."

*Thoughts*

Capture is the second installment in author Heather Renee's Elite Supernatural Trackers series. Here's a quick summary of previous events. Cara Simmons was wrongfully put in Mandora Supernatural Prison for using illegal magic. She ends up with 4 paranormals (Jaxon, Blake, Mason, and Spencer) who do tracking work for the warden. Cara also came face to face with a feisty faerie named Nixie with an attitude a mile wide who has stuck with Cara. The Warden has let Cara and the Fabled Four know that if they find his son, they can go free.

Gah Heather, now I only got more questions then I did before I started reading this book. I feel like this could end up being you (ie Heather) by the time I even got started.

But you know me girl, I'm just a wee bit crazy and don't know when to stop my mission to get answers....so this would then probably be me. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

BUT guys this book is soooooo good! You won't be disappointed and you'll only get more hooked. I know that was the case for me. I think this is like tying for first place with Raven Point Pack Series. In a way, Cara and Taya are kinda alike in my opinion. Their personalities are just so captivating that you just can't help but like them immediately. Their snark, sass and can't keep us down attitudes are something I love to see in characters. They keep me engaged and are always giving me a chuckle. But even on top of that Cara does a lot of growth in these books learning who she is and owning every part of it and learning that it's okay to trust and rely on others.

Gah there is just so so much to love about the world created here...the world really opens up even more in this book... and the overall view as the story develops shows an endless array of possibilities. I know that I'll be revisiting this world multiple times.

I particularly loved watching as the group dynamics (Fabled Four & Nixie) grew in many ways, including the trust and love that was given. You see as Cara slowly but surely realises that she does trust them and them her. Even when she decides to go off on a little adventure with Nixie and the boys don't actually chase her down. I was like

This was a really big step for her boys, to not go and try and see what she was up to lol. They just waited, if maybe a little impatiently (some more than others 😆), for her to come back. So proud of them, I was.

Seriously, if you have read book one how can you not keep reading? If you manage that, then gosh you more cray cray than me...and that's saying something.

So in this instance try and be normal and get this book! It's simple...

So make sure that on release day (19th March!) you get your copy, coz a whole lot of stuff goes down inside this book! I loved how the unexpected happens and how it sometimes throws you for a loop...coz you think you on the right path....but then someone comes in to save the day.... and you're like okay I wasn't really expecting that person to help.

You can rest assured that this book doesn't really have a cliffhanger in the sense of the "Oh my words the world has gone to hell!" but its more of a

Yep, that about sums that up lol. Soooo either way, you going to be begging for more, if you anything like me haha. Coz not knowing answers is just as bad for me haha. So maybe not so rest assured after all 😂Guess that's me ↓ right about now 😂

Coz I'm mean like that, I guess. Who would've known I had a mean streak after all? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Haha okay, so maybe I should talk a little about the plot.

So, we know that Cara was put wrongfully in Mandora, the Supernatural Prison. They learnt that the Warden was syphoning off the prisoners' powers and was using dark magic and that he was working alongside the Luccovino, a coven of really old vampires. Then we had the Warden's son Zeke go missing, supposedly taken by the Vampires, that's what the Warden is saying...and finding the answers may just lead to their freedom...but some people just don't want to be found. There's definitely a waay bigger story developing here with Zeke included...and then Gillian I think is after him for more reasons then he's letting on. I tell you, there are stories weaved within each other like an intricate web. I love it!

So while they are trying to find their next step, Cara starts training and is being pushed to her limits by her relentless four and Nixie steps in to help with honing her magical abilities...seriously, Cara is kick-butt.

Many things happen, people get impatient and acting crazy (ahem...Gillian!)...but when they finally catch a lead they may just be walking into a trap. And even if they survive is what waits at the other end even worse? Many games are being played and someone is bound to lose.

They may just need to learn to trust more than just their group...but who? But some risks you have to die. Especially when you are running low on options.

Many obstacles are faced and when things blow up, sometimes the most unexpected things can happen. And oh boy does it take unexpected to a whole new level. I'm so dying of curiosity over here with what is happening to Cara.

I loved how they all grew together and although all very different they each add something really special to this story....And can I just say...Nixie is just so damn awesome. That fairy has some serious mojo...and on-top of that her feisty ways just adds to the experience of this book. Put her and Cara together I'm certain it spells trouble lol.

Heather seriously keeps outdoing herself she's amazing at what she accomplishes with each book. Are you certain a little somebody hasn't sprinkled magic over you?

And don't get me started on the crazy she stirs in me, it's very real lol. I just keep coming back for more like an addict.

Anyways, back on point...do whatever you have to, to read this series! I will literally beg you to do it haha if that would work....Actually nah scratch that...it's only your loss if you don't...my point I'm trying to make, with a brain that's gone on an extended holiday is...JUST READ IT!

How can you say no to a book full of fight, strength, determination and a fan-flippin-tastic main character, and a sassy as hell fairy? Oh and the angst between Hawk and Cara is intense! Like sizzling. That man got his hands full lol. Least he won't ever be bored haha. But between Cara trying to teach him a lesson and his demon getting a wee bit cranky at times it calls for fun times for us hehe. They got some serious tension going on.

I'm soooooo ready for the next instalment and the moment it comes my way...book marathon coming right up lol.

Can't it get here sooner? I hate waiting lol

Thank you so much, Heather, for yet another amazing read! You gotto be Super Woman with all these new and incredible books you keep writing! I don't know if my brain will survive all these incredible worlds you make. But I'll definitely enjoy as many as I can until that day does come lols. Thanks as always for having me on your team and for sending me an ARC in place of an, as always, honest review.

If I've even made a lick of sense...that's seriously an achievement in itself. My head is all over the place it's a crazy place.

Capture by Heather Renee is the second book in the Elite Supernatural Trackers series, and you’ll certainly be captured. You’ll be left wanting the third book the second you’ve finished.

The training, adventures and sexual tension between Cara and Jaxon has been upped in this book. As well as the great character building between Cara, The Fabled Four, Nixie and more.

This is the second book in this series and is even better than the first. Although I absolutely loved the first as well. It has some amazing characters that you will just love so much. Everything about this book just kept me hooked from the beginning and I truly can not wait for the next book.

Ok so I Love a good Alpha male, but for some reason I had a hard time connecting with Jaxson in book 1, well I had no problem falling in love with Jaxson and The Fabled four in this book!!! I couldn't put it down, loved where the story is going and I can't wait to see what Cara truly becomes. I have always loved reading books with a kickass FMC and this one joined the ranks today!!! Pick these books up people this author writes nothing but Gold!!!

Holy shifter babies!! This book was hoooooot!! The tension between Cara and Jaxson keeps building and giving the other Fabled Four difficulties. This is a whole new side to Ms. Renee's writing and it's delightfully delicious!! I can't get enough of Nixie and her impressive phrases and attitude! She brings fierce to a whole new sphere! I love each of the FF because they have such unique personalities. Owen is an enigma and it's very interesting to see him interact with the main characters! I have to confess that Greggor is extremely intriguing! I like parts of him just as some of him keeps me wary! I can't wait to see just who Cara is. I have my suspicions and I'm excited to see just what will happen next! Bring on more of the snappy comebacks and salty comments and more of the yumminess between Cara and Jaxson and this series will be even more explosive and addicting!!!

Emotionally intense!!! 🤗😍

The relationships between our MC keeps going deeper, not just the love type, but the family type as well 💖
Cara and Nixie leave for a solo mission that may jeopardize their safety as the one thing that Greggor asked from them may reveal who Cara really is 😰🙈... On the bright side, this same trip deepens the friendship bond between them and restore Nixie's abilities to her full potencial #faeriepower 💪👊🧚‍♀️
As the FF find out they were left behind, and after an emotionally intense discussion, Cara realizes how much she means for the FF, she finally accepts she's not longer alone, she has a family now 😍 #crazyfamily #madeforeachother #nowtheyarefive #dontforgetthecrazyfaerie 😂
And, of course, Jaxon finally gets to claim Cara as his own, they both gave in and accept their fellings, solidifying their bond #finally #nowBlakecanrest #nomoretension #soulmates 💏💕
But they are no safe at all, their mission to find the warden's son turns out really bad, finding out things are not as they believed and that Cara's real identity is the key factor to all this mystery sorrounding them 😳🤯
With Owen and Greggor as their new allies, they will embark on a new adventure, full of secrets and unknown dangers... Need the next book NOW!!! 🤓😍❤️

Yep! Another great one from one of my favorite authors. Okay, so this book picks up where the first one left off (Start with book 1, you won't be disappointed). I'm brimming with questions after reading the whole thing, but some of my initial questions were answered. The characters I loved from the first book are still here and still making me smile.

I love the snappy comebacks and sassiness. These characters absolutely have unique personalities and I love it. Cara and Jax--yay! Nixie was great in this one. Cara grew so much as a character and I think we are getting closer to answers for her. Not to mention the FF, yep this is a series that I cannot wait to continue reading.

It was a 5/5 for me.

Thank you to the author for the review copy of this book. I received this book in exchange for an honest review and the opinions stated above are 100% mine.

This book was plain fun! Picking up after the last book, so I suggest reading that one first, readers are brought back into the world of Elite Supernatural Trackers. And what a ride it is!

Cara continues to work with the Fabled Four and Nixie is around as well. Throughout the book we see character growth and change, always a plus for me as Author Renee's characters are dynamic, changing individuals.

The pacing is quick and the storyline moves forward and a swift and logical pace. Snark and commentary abides and so do indepth descriptions and details that bring the book to life.

I received an ARC of this book and have chosen to review it.

I loved Initiation, book one in the Elite Supernatural Trackers series, and book 2 (Capture) was better! Heather took the steamy-ness and dialed it up a few notches! The sarcastic banter between Cara and Nixie will keep you giggling through the whole book! And... (**Sigh**) The Fabled Four show their true colors in this book. They prove that they are not all pretty faces and muscle. They have big hearts and real feelings under all that sexy! Capture is stacked full of adventure as Cara and her crew set out to do the Warden’s bidding again (kinda 😉). Cara finds herself in hot water (again). Obviously... Cara attracts trouble like moths to a flame! Capture is a definite must read!

I'm loving this series!

Once again Heather has captured my attention for hours while I read this book. We are back with Cara and the Fabled Four as they try to complete their task so the can leave the prison and be free. Of course it can't be easy and Cara gets in trouble and roadblocks are thrown in the way. Nixi is sassy and sarcastic like always and is one of the best "sidekicks" ever. There are few twists that you don't see coming and we are left with more questions then answers. I can't wait until Escape comes out so those questions can be answered!

I loved this book so much!! You definitely need to read the first book for this one to make sense but it’s so worth it because both books are amazing! Cara is such a sassy amazing character with a lot of heart to her and she did quite a bit of growing. I also loved Nixie. That one needs a story in a spin off or something because I want more. Also love the guys! I would love to be locked up with any of them. Happy to see things heating up more and this world progressing. I need the next book with the way this second book ended. You won’t be disappointed with this book at all it is amazing!

This has it all - laughter, action, exploding sexual tension from Cara and Jaxon, and snark from Nixie. The growing trust and family feel between this group is awesome. Five whom always felt unwanted and love are becoming a family. The jabs between them are hilarious -. I don't want this series to end. The ending is bad because now I have questikn. Just read it and you all will see what I mean. Another great one Heather!

Don't read this book until you've finished the first one. That being said, I couldn't put this one down either. Heather Renee has a knack for character growth that doesn't falter in book 2 like some other trilogies/sagas I've read. I'm so glad. This book expands what we know of the world. It also paves the way for Nixie and the fabled four to do some hopefully really cool stuff in book three as well.

“Capture” book two of the Elite Supernatural Trackers series does just as it says; it captures you into the story. You won’t be able to put your book down. Cara and her crew get better and better with humor, growth in their relationships, and full of sass. Author, Heather Renee does a fabulous job world building and developing the story. Much happens during book two and I’m excited to see what book three turns out. Definitely worth the read.

Wow! I mean wow!

What the heck just happened?!? The action, the humor, the friendship, the new allies, the love!!! This book had everything. Cara is starting to trust in herself and along with her growing confidence, her power is growing along with it. Nixie is the bestest friend anyone could wish for and Jaxon is a smouldering piece of man. The ending has me wanting more immediately! Amazing book.

As awesome as the first!

You know some series books the proceeding books aren't as good as the one's before, not with this series. Wow, just as much action. Just as much mystery. And intrigue as you try to figure out who is good & who is bad. Nixie's character grows in this book. Jaxon & Cara finally get some much needed alone time! And the rest you are going to have to read to find out because snitches get stitches.

*sscracker may be my new favorite saying

Book 2 has Cara learning to fight and protect herself as well as finding out more about her true heritage. Oh, and don't forget the fun and sexy times she has as the steam increases between her and a certain Fabled 4. Have already preordered book 3 and cannot wait till June...ughhh!

Book 2 was an exciting read that I finished in one sitting it was soooooo good!!!

Love this series!

I thought the first one was so unique in setting and situations. This second was a great read and I stayed glued to my kindle for a day. There is plenty of action and drama but for being the end of the second one, I was hoping for a little more of a relationship between Cara and Jaxon. Don't get me wrong, the tension sure was there and they finally are kinda together but not much has happened. Definitely continuing but hope to see them grow more.

Amazing, yet again Heather Renee brings us an exciting and entertaining book with Cara and the Fabled Four (or Fabled F***ers as they are lovingly called) Cara and Nixie are my smart mouthed sisters in action. They give this story such life! All in all, great read! It was over too quickly and I’m desperate for book 3! ❤️

So fun to catch up Cara and crew! There was some twists that I did not see coming. I thoroughly enjoy Cara and her smart mouth and how relatable she is. I zipped through this book and didnt put it down. I love the bond she has with the guys. I am beyond ready for the last book!

Amazing

Omg! Heather Renee has done it again. You get sucked in from the beginning and cant put the book down. Cara and the fabled four are still trying to find a way to get their freedom and find the wardens soon. Just when Cara and her fabled four think things are going their way everything is turned upside down. I can't wait to see what happens next in Escape.

Demons and friends

Cara is working her but off to get stronger physically and a better fighter, the magic is growing, but she still does not have the answer to her puzzle. Hints here and there keep me reading and her seeking. Alliances are getting clearer and stronger, but she cannot Suss out the real enemy. The final book will be so good!

Book 2 in Elite Supernatural Trackers series

A fantasy romance within a supernatural prison setting featuring a diverse cast of characters and an intriguing storyline. I love reading the continued growth of the FMC and her broody protective alphamales, but I also enjoy seeing their softer sides as well. I'm invested in the story and excited to read more.
