I never should have gone commando in that dress.

I'm almost positive the rest of it wouldn't have happened if I hadn't been dangling off a hotel balcony with my lady parts in the breeze. And of course the one person to witness my mortification had to be HIM. Camden Cox.

Sure, today he's gorgeous and wealthy, and fine, I can admit he has a great sense of humor. But once upon a time, he was the boy who loved to make my life miserable.

He no longer pulls my pigtails, but I know his type. He wants one thing, and one thing only. A chance to get in my pants.

Nope. Not happening. Not even with that sexy southern drawl.

But I'm Sophie Abbott, and if there's one thing I'm good at, it's making a mess.

Only this isn't just a mess. It's a disaster. A Sophie disaster.

Because after a wild night in Vegas, I wake up naked in his hotel room.

And I'm pretty sure we got married.

I laughed my troubles away with this one!
I needed to relieve some stress and kick back, find a funny, raunchy, mind-numbing novel and forget the world for a bit.

This one did the trick, folks. Sophie and Camden were hilarious - and so sweet together!
Sophie is a lovable clutz, tripping over her own shadow - each face plant was sheer slapstick comedy, but she was always such a good sport about it.

I loved Sophie's "rough around the edges" but loyal father and Camden's "tell it like it is" mother. Such great supportive parents for this unlikely pair of lovers. Mind you, Camden had always been fond of pulling Sophie's hair as a child, and these days he still can't keep his fingers out of her golden curls! (That was so cute, how he always unconsciously caressed one of her curls whenever they were talking.)

Their childhood back story was very interesting, and their present-day sizzling good times were a welcome distraction. It certainly put the smile back on my face.

That Vegas wedding was hilarious - as each one of them slowly remember bits and pieces of that riotous night. That made very entertaining reading.

I'm going to highly recommend this one because it did the job: by the end of this book I felt a whole lot better! And sometimes, that is what we need a good book like this one for!

╰┈➤ 3 stars!

this was… okay. i genuinely didn’t think it was bad, but i don’t really think it’s good either. it’s probably the type of book i had fun reading but i won’t remember it after some time

sophie. we love a curvy queen! i literally don’t know why she’s so unlucky at times and i just feel bad for her every time something bad happens to her. imagine getting your nose smacked by a tray and it ends up bleeding, falling and ended up getting a wound on your chin, and a lot more embarrassing moments. i probably would just lock myself inside my house if i was her. however, i think that her character is on the well-rounded side. she’s a good person, friend, and a daughter. she’s someone you can definitely call in times of need, and she’ll bend her back just to help you with things.

cox. i honestly don’t know what to think of him other than him being a sweet talker lol. again, the amount of times he used to word “sugar” for sophie got to me. it feels as if he said it on every sentence he had. i feel bad at the part where he didn’t really have friends, just his assistant and his traitor lawyer (-1 for her). of course, he has shepherd and corban now. he really worked his ass off to get himself to where he is in his life, and to give her mother the life she deserves. same with sophie, cox is a good person, friend, and a son.

overall, this book felt underwhelming for me for some reason. i think it was really mediocre, but i still did enjoy my time reading it. i’ll remember it for a while, but i’m sure it won’t be stuck in my mind.

I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful romantic comedy by Claire Kingsley.

Sophie and Camden have an epic night in Vegas....one they can barely remember. But one thing that becomes clear is that they got married. Will they stay married or divorce? The story delves into their marriage and how the get to know one another and fall in love.

The story was cute and had funny moments. I like Claire Kingsley’s writing style. This book is part of a series and does feature characters from previous books but I was able to follow along. It actually made me want to read the other books I missed.

If you are looking for a light read with no angst I recommend this one.

Marrying Mr Wrong is just average. I do like a good drunk marriage romance but Miss Kingsley needs to up the game higher. The chemistry is there. The plot is messy. There are too much plot trying to win over the central of the story.

And how Miss Kingsley tied the knot on all those plot, well.... is messy. There are some good moment still. Moment that makes me smile.

Overall an OK book.

This was a really fun and cute romcom that I definitely enjoyed. It's hard not to be cliché in romance novels, but I feel like one thing Claire Kingsley does well is create scenes that feel unique and aren't just repeats from other books.

THE MEET CUTE WAS really hilarious 😂 It was absolutely ridiculous... but Sophie is kind of a walking disaster so it felt appropriate for her character

🆗 I THINK THE BUILD UP in Sophie and Cox's relationship left a little something to be desired. There was definitely some sexual tension there, but I think the fact that Cox kind of wanted her the entire time made the build up feel more one-sided

I REALLY ENJOYED THE SIDE STORY with the development project. After a while, it was clear there was something sketchy going on so it kind of felt like a mystery to figure it out, and I always love a good mystery

AS ALWAYS, I REALLY LOVE this group of characters and the friendship between the girls in the Dirty Martini Running Club. Plus, I'm a runner too, so it's hard for me not to like this group

THE ROMANCE itself was definitely swoon-worthy, although a southern gentlemen isn't really my type haha 😅 But nonetheless, Cox was adorable and the romance delivered all the heat I was hoping for

Overall, I really enjoyed this. The earlier books in this series were really hit or miss for me so it was a relief that this was another hit. I can't wait to finish up the series with Nora's story next!

I loath writing bad reviews. Authors work hard on their art and I feel like I rain on their parade. But it does have to get done and I hope to give constructive criticism. This book has so much potential, it is the first time the author has disappointed me.

I mean you have a hot mess of a heroin, alpha male of a hero, a wry unique way of meeting followed by a night of drinking to the point where they barely remember anything ,with an accidental marriage.,That alone can give you a very entertaining book with a lot of laughter. I did laugh. Just not much.

The clumsiness of the heroine was too much. I get she is clumsy. It seemed very repetitive in several chapters. After 34% the book started to drag. I love a good slow burn ,for me it dragged. I was bored and quick. I started to shim through it and it seems I didn’t miss much.

Don’t let my review detour you from this book; it could be your four or five-star read.

Anything that can go wrong!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🤎🖤❤️💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌏
Character development: 😠😘🤓😉🥰
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Sophie Abbott - She is a klutz and seems to always make a mess of things. She is wearing a short thin red dress with no panties to a benefit auction, having forgotten she would be filling in at the auction on behalf of her boss’s pregnant wife. Sophie’s elderly father is on a mission to set her up with any man between the ages of 20 and 50. One of those men, nicknamed by her friends as ‘Dr. Handsy Perv’, was at the benefit.

The Hero: Camden Cox - he is a successful real estate developer on the cusp of the biggest development deal of his life when one of the investors is involved in a scandal. He needs to get a new investor as soon as he can so his deal doesn’t go under. He was determined never to get married after watching his parents marriage fall apart, though he never had a problem finding women.

The Story: Sophie tried to get away from Dr. Handsy Perv and ended up in an even worse situation, which was pretty standard for her. She ended up hanging from a second floor balcony on a breezy night where Camden found her. Sophie knew Camden from her past, but he has no recollection of who she is.

Days later Camden can’t seem to get Sophie off his mind, but is determined to get a meeting with Shepard Calloway to try to talk him into his development deal. Sophie just happens to be the assistant to Mr. Calloway and one of her three best friends, Everly is married to Calloway. They all plan to go to Vegas since Mr. Calloway has to be there over the weekend, and Everly wanted her friends as company.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration. The narration was done by Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow, two of my all time favorite narrators. Savannah has a soft feminine voice with a pleasing tone and sounds very age appropriate for a young professional. Aiden Snow has a deep sensual voice which is perfect for any romantic Hero.

The story was good. I like the fact that Camden was Sophie’s childhood bully and that he didn’t remember her at first. I always love the married in Vegas trope, so that was another plus. These characters were both very likable and I enjoyed the book quite a bit. The other books in this series look great as well. I will be looking into those!

A wee bit too much...

This took way too long to get through and I had to seriously talk myself into finishing it. I have read other stories by this author that I've enjoyed but I struggled with this one.

Klutzy can be taken a little too far. The heroine in this story is constantly falling, tripping, or knocking things over. Honestly, if I was her (and she was a real person), I'd get myself checked out by a doctor. I know I should have felt sorry for her but instead, all I could think was ... why is the author making this so predictable?

I'm not sure about you, but I would have to make a conscious decision to walk out of my house without underwear on. There is no way I would ever forget. Sure, I could maybe understand forgetting to put a bra on if I was comfy without but NEVER EVER would I forget undies/panties/knickers.

You can also take the *I'm never going to marry* thing too far. In this case, the hero was so stubborn about it that it made me roll my eyes. I get he didn't have a great example set for him but he was the twit who did it when he was drunk, he must have subconsciously wanted to.

The betrayal of someone he trusted was probably my most eye-rolling worthy thing to dislike. I did not understand his relationship with her and was not at all surprised at her antics. It was also stupid that he allowed her to walk into his house willy-nilly.

It was all TOO MUCH and I spent the majority of this story rolling my eyes and scoffing at the silliness. What made me go on? Hope that things would all work out in the end. I did enjoy the ending but it didn't really save it completely for me. It was just OK.

I am not writing this author off completely but I will be a little choosier in the future.

Don't judge by my review alone, please check out other reviews and you may find that Marrying Mr Wrong is perfect for you.

No rating, DNF at 4%. I’m too old for this crap. 👵🏼

This heroine was one of those quirky, overly clumsy, forgets how to dress herself types. 🙄

In the first 4%, she trips, stumbles, and/or falls into other people three times “in typical Sophie fashion”. I didn’t find it cute. 🙄

In the first 4%, she does something quirky we all do… forget to put underwear on when we are in a hurry. While wearing a thin, somewhat transparent red mini dress 🙄
“And because I’m Sophie Abbott, expert hot mess, in my haste to get myself presentable enough for a black-tie gala, and be on time, and not break a nail, and find shoes that were formal enough but would allow me to walk, I’d completely forgotten to put on underwear.”

In the first 4%, while trying to escape a pervy guy at the gala, she agrees to go up to the room of a nice stranger (female) to have a drink (while waiting for the pervy guy to disappear). Of course this stranger’s husband was waiting in the room with lines of coke and hoping for a threesome. In typical Sophie fashion, she panics and stumbles and hits the tray of coke, cocaine powder goes flying in the air and Sophie is telling herself “don’t inhale, don’t inhale!”

Maybe I hated this because I just read a serious, well-written love story prior to this, and this ‘comedy’ nonsense is coming off cringy… either way, I’m not here for it.

Marrying Mr. Wrong is live and I'm so excited to share this book with you! This is totally the hot romantic comedy we all need right now.

Cox is cocky and SO charming, but adorkable hot mess Sophie throws him completely off his game. It's a sexy, feel-good read with plenty of heat and a happily ever after ending that will melt your heart.

Get a NSFW sneak peek from Marrying Mr. Wrong below.

Did I mention it's hot? You've been warned!

SNEAK PEEK FROM MARRYING MR. WRONG

Now I was wide awake in bed with an aching cock and the object of my fantasies—from then and now—was one room away. Sound asleep, no doubt, but still. She was there. And her presence haunted me.

Fuck this.

My hand hurt from punching that guy in the jaw, but not so much that I couldn’t take care of business. I ripped the covers off and took a deep breath.

Then I grabbed my very stiff erection and went to work.

I kept my eyes on the ceiling, but that wasn’t what I saw. No. Curly blond hair. Luscious curves. Smooth skin. What would I do to that girl if she were here right now?

Anything she wanted.

My hand moved up and down my hard length. This wouldn’t take long. Sophie on top of me, straddling my hips. She’d sink down onto my cock and I’d watch while she rode me. While her tits bounced, her hips rolled, and her hair cascaded around her shoulders. I’d caress those curves, thrusting up into her, sliding through her wetness.

Fuck. I stroked faster. God, I wanted her. I wanted her so bad I could already taste her. Swallowing a groan, I licked my lips, imagining her taste. Licking her until she begged me to stop. Then climbing on top of her and—

My door creaked and a small shaft of light broke through the darkness.

Sophie stood in my doorway, dressed in nothing but my t-shirt, her nipples poking against the thin fabric.

And here I was with my dick in my hand, about a minute away from coming.

Well, shit.

She took it all in—every bit of me, from my eyes to my hand wrapped around my erection. It was dark, but not that dark. She could see exactly what I’d been doing.

Your move, sugar.

I figured she’d blurt out an apology and probably trip over her own feet trying to get back to the guest room. But she didn’t.

Her eyes lingered on my cock, then moved up to meet mine. “Can I come in?”

“Yeah,” I said, my voice rough. Not sure where this was going, I kept hold of my cock.

Licking her lips, she looked at it again, then took slow steps into the room. “I can’t sleep.”

“Me neither.”

“I probably shouldn’t be in here.”

“Yes, you should.”

Her eyebrows lifted, her expression hopeful. “Yeah?”

“Sugar, I was about to make myself come just thinkin’ about you.” Giving myself a slow stroke up and down, I let out a groan. No more holding back now. It was game on. “Now take those fuckin’ panties off.”

Her lips twitched in a smile. “I’m not wearing any.”

Sophie was attending a gala for her boss since he was staying home with his pregnant wife. It isn't bad enough that she was dodging Dr. Handsy Perv, but the woman who rescued her wanted her to join her and her husband were a threesome and drugs. Why do these things always happen to her? Her only escape route is over the balcony. Luckily, she was on the 2nd floor and there were spare sheets. She thought her day couldn't get any worse and then a stranger caught her climbing down and could clearly see she was going commando. She looks up and can't believe who saved her from killing herself. Luckily, he didn't recognize her.

Cox was in bad need of an investor after losing one due to the sex scandal of his former partner. If he could get Shepherd Calloway on board he would be set. The only time he could get a meeting time was while Shepherd was in Las Vegas for meetings. Imagine his shock when he arrived at the meeting to find the gorgeous woman he rescued at he gala. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.....or not.

I loved Sophie and Cox's story. Sophie and her accident proneness and having no clue how gorgeous she is. Cox is just plain sexy with a Texas twang. When their memories come back piece by piece their Vegas antics will have you on the floor. Cox convinced Sophie to stay married for a few months to help him away from bad PR, but he just didn't want it to end.

I love the girl's Circle of Trust. I love the continuing relationship with all the characters and we meet at the Miles' winery again. I was in tears at the end of this book, but they were such happy tears. I can't wait to see what Claire Kingsley has up her sleeve for Nora!

I was fortunate in receiving an advance copy of this book and I can't recommend it enough! It has amazing characters, a wonderful storyline that makes you laugh and cry.

This is how a romcom novel should be done, I couldn't stop laughing and smiling the entire book. I am always in awe with the worlds Claire creates because they are so good. Especially how she can weave all of her characters together seamlessly and then tie in small parts of other series making it seam effortless.

Marrying Mr. Wrong focuses on Sophie Abbott who is known for her caring personality and her uncanny ability to trip over air. She is a breath of fresh air for the Dirty Martini Running Club and for her childhood bully Camden Cox. When they have an interesting reunion together they don't expect to build a relationship let alone get married, but when in Vegas...Of course being married to a woman like Sophie, Camden can't help but start to feel more for her as she does for him. Make sure you put on your panties for this one because it is a wild ride!

I'm having a hard time figuring out how I feel about this book. I came into this already worried after fellow goodreads reader, Stacy is Sassy, gave it two stars. She NEVER gives books two stars. I hesitated to start reading because I didn't want to be disappointed. In the end I think I'm going to have to agree with the two star rating, but I feel conflicted about it. First of all, I felt like I should have been WAY more irritated with this story than I was. There were so many irritating things about it.

First ... the romance. Cox and Sophie knew each other long ago as children. Cox had treated Sophie badly, so she didn't have good feelings about him, but I guess Cox had been in love with her from the beginning ... and that's why he was mean to her. I guess you can explain all that away by giving them the benefit of being children whose actions don't always have to make sense. But now they meet as adults, and it turns out that Cox has been in love with her this whole time? I guess. He doesn't label his feelings, but he sure jumps right into this drunken marriage awfully easily. He's addressing Sophie as 'sugar' almost from the get-go. You would think that waking up with no recollection of the previous night, finding yourself married to a girl you knew from elementary school, might cause you to pause a bit in your life to figure out how you got here and what you're going to do about it. But Cox and Sophie just roll with it and act like they've been a couple all along. There are no awkward moments of getting to know each other in their new roles. No. They're just married and good with it. The whole setup felt off to me. If this was a book about someone finally getting with the girl he's loved forever, then there should have been more focus on how much he has always loved her and how he is going to keep her now. If this is a story about Sophie having to find a way to love a guy who was awful to her in her youth, then there should have been more of a struggle for her to see the good in a guy who she thought was so awful. But she just seems to fall in love with him almost immediately. And why did Cox love her so much? He never really explains his feelings. There seemed to be a lot of talk about how Cox would never marry because he wasn't the marrying type due to his terrible father. But if that was the case, then there needed to be a lot more focus on his father. Or there needed to be more of a resistance from him to the whole idea of marriage (even though I HATE this as a stumbling block in romances). Or maybe this was going to be a story about the company struggles Cox has as he deals with his former partner. But even that was glossed over with things resolving way too easily. The bottom line is that the romance in this felt way too much like insta-love with no depth at all to the relationship. I couldn't see or feel the growth of the two leads. They just accidentally got married, decided to stay married, and in the end ... stayed married. That's the story.

Secondly, Sophie's character was too much in this story. Her clumsiness was a huge plot device for much of this book, and it got old quickly. Seriously, I was concerned that the girl had some sort of inner ear problem and needed to see a doctor. Her clumsiness wasn't funny or cute. It was over the top.

And finally, the thing that keeps them from finding their HEA for a hot minute in the story was ridiculous. I will never understand why in these stories writers create couples who are madly in love, only to immediately believe the absolute worst about the person they "love." No questions. No conversations. Just an immediate rush to judgement followed by kicking that person to the curb without any opportunity to explain themselves. ERG!!!! I hate this. It makes me think that these two are not actually in love at all, and they are headed for lots of heartache in marriage if they can't TALK to each other when they have concerns.

But despite all my issues, like I said, I didn't end up feeling as irritated with this as I think I should have. I liked Sophie. I love her group of friends. And I liked Cox. I was happy for their HEA ending. And I did end up feeling good about things. I guess my final verdict is that I'm not sad that I read this story, but I can't really recommend it to anyone at the same time. Two stars. It was okay.

THANK YOU ROMANCE GODDESSES (and Claire Kingsley) for making me love a book again!! Hallelujah!! I've been in the biggest book slump ever, but this little gem was so hilarious and sweet and sexy and swoony, and holy alliteration, it was just PERFECT.

Sophie is officially my soulmate. (Sorry husband of mine!) She's beautiful, curry, hilarious, real, so fucking clumsy and adorable, and is this contradiction of a sexpot while being slightly awkward, and I just adore her. I want to keep her as my own best friend, that's how much I love her!

And Cox? That swoony bastard with the great dick made me love him SO HARD. Jesus, the way he adored Sophie was easily the sexiest thing about him. I loved all of his little nicknames for her and how he carefully took care of her after all the times she fell, and never once made her feel like a hindrance. I love a ruthless (yet honest) business man in a suit who's against marriage and yet falls in love nearly right away with the most angelic woman on the planet, and that's Cox to a T. He has such a good heart, and those interactions with Shep and Corbin? I died laughing the entire time. Also, Oliver is a treasure and I hope we get more of him!

Basically, this entire book was fabulous. There is not a single complaint anyone could ever have about it, and they obviously don't know how to live life correctly if they do. This is feel-good romantic comedy at its best!!

Go read this book as soon as you can! You'll thank me -- and CK-- for it!😉

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

Just like with every book Claire Kingsley writes - she knocked it out of the park with the third book in the Dirty Martini Running Club Series!! And it was sooo good to visit familiar characters ❤️
Sophie - assistant to Shepherd Calloway (hero in the first book) - has a dad who wants to set her up with anyone he comes across that may be able to take care of her - his doctor, handyman, random guy at the diner, etc., is an accident waiting to happen just walking through life, and has a ton of bills and not enough money to pay them.
Camden Cox - hot shot developer with no plans of marrying...ever. Makes the money he and his moms never had when he was growing up and uses it to take care of her. Only trusts a handful of people in his inner circle. Knows how to go after and get what he wants.
These two have a history - a very short one years ago - that still bothers Sophie. She doesn’t want to give him the time of day and he’s enthralled with her. Throw in Vegas, an Elvis impersonator, and the honeymoon suite and things get a little crazy!
I loved seeing the growth in these characters - especially Sophie. Their story had me smiling, swooning, and at a couple had me yelling at my kindle - you know how you always want to yell at the people in scary movies?? Well this is more like “CUT IT OUT AND JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER!!!”
I cannot wait to get Nora’s story!! (And maybe her brother’s - cause that’d be amazing 🤩)

When adorkable klutz Sophie Abbott tries to get out of a messy situation, she accidentally flashes Camden Cox in the process. The same Camden Cox she went to school with years ago. The same Camden Cox who used to pull her pigtails.

After one wild night in Vegas, Cox and Sophie find themselves married to each other 💍 Cox can't afford the scandal of a divorce right now. So he makes a deal with Sophie to remain married until his current project is confirmed for development.

OMG this book actually took me by surprise. I already loved Sophie from the previous books, but I honestly didn't think I was gonna love Cox. He totally snuck up on me. I genuinely thought he was gonna be a charming and arrogant playboy. But Cox is so unexpectedly sweet and endearing!! I LOVE how chill Cox is about being married to Sophie. It isn't a big deal 😂 He isn't worried at all 😂 He texts Sophie everyday like they're besties 😂 He even texts her goodnight every night 🥺 IT'S THE CUTEST SHIT EVER!!!!!

Don't even get me started on his cute nicknames for Sophie!!!!
- sugar
- my sweet little sugar bug
- my Sophie
- my wife
- my girl
- my little wifey

Cox is SO SMITTEN with Sophie. He loves referring to her as his wife. The dude is 💯 smitten, but he's still confused by the FEELS taking over him 😂 He's like "I'm a bachelor and I'm not made for marriage," but then he proceeds to act like a smitten husband 😂 He finds Sophie's clumsiness adorable and he's always there to steady her and kiss her injuries 🥺

As expected from Claire Kingsley, the build up of chemistry and tension is SO GOOD. I was dying for Cox and Sophie to finally kiss and get together. They were so darn sweet together. And when they finally begin a physical relationship...phewww 🔥🔥🔥

The plot is fairly simple and straightforward, mostly related to the project that Cox is working on. I was a bit confused when it came to who knew about their marriage. I didn't realize that Cox's business partners knew about his wedding until he had asked Sophie to attend an event with him as his wife. Anyway, I LOVED the new supporting characters in this book. Sophie's dad. Cox's mom. And of course, my man Oliver. I really wish we had gotten his story in a separate novella.

I truly enjoyed listening to this story on audio. Savannah Peachwood and Aiden Snow did a fantastic job bringing Sophie and Cox to life. Aiden Snow's Southern drawl was 🔥

P.S. My man Camden Cox should have shortened his name to Cam. I kept hearing "cocks" instead of "Cox" 😂

I absolutely loved this book. Sophie and Cox wake up in Vegas after a wild night to discover that they are married. This book is written in first person from a dual POV.

Sophie is clumsy, and a bit of a hot mess at times, but she has a heart of solid gold. She is smart, kind, dependable, and has sound instincts which serve her well as the assistant of the stoic Shepherd Calloway. I love that she rolls with whatever comes her way. And what comes her way is often both funny and a bit disastrous. Sophie operates on the principle that if it can go wrong, then it probably will go wrong for her in a most high profile way. I adored her relationship with her dad, and I thought he was an amazing side character. When she tells Cox that her dad not only has rough edges, but is rough all over like sandpaper, I seriously had to laugh out loud. I love that she is able to see past Cox's defenses to his heart before he does. I love how free she is with her good spirit.

Cox won me over immediately when he assisted Sophie off the balcony. I could 100% hear his voice with that Matthew McConaughey drawl. I loved that he was a driven person who made his own success. I love his relationship with his mom and how he takes care of her. (She is another really interesting side character.) I love that wants to be a better man, and when he makes a mistake he owns it immediately. I love how hard and fast he fell for Sophie. I love that creeped under his defenses and that the man who never thought he would marry, consistently avoids divorcing his accidental wife. Oliver, Cox's assistant, is perfect and I adored him and his story: another romance built in to the main story. I want to have tea with Oliver every day and I am jealous that he is a character and not real.

The story has many funny moments, some drama, and plenty of heat. I love the secondary characters, their friendships, and the way they support each other. It is especially worth mentioning that I adore the relationship that has developed between Shepherd and Corban- a real treat. There is a beautiful HEA which brought some tears to my eyes and was absolutely perfect. This is book #3 in the Dirty Martini Running Club series, but can be read as a standalone. It was everything I needed in a book this week and I highly recommend it.

I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance review copy form the author.

honestly, it was out of boredom that i started this one for entertainment and it wasn't as entertaining as i expected...

"𝐈’𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫.
𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫?
𝐌𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨."

like please this is even in the summary on goodreads but i didnt expect this like this.. the main couple was still cute but the plot was so predictable with the mmc's company and ex business partner. he was honestly dumb not to see it coming and blame it on the fmc like trust her???

this pissed me off more than expected especially because i saw it coming millions of kilometres away 😔 had fun reading this at work in hiding because i have literally nothing to do though xx

started this at work, because i was bored.. im on page 2 of the first chapter and i regret falling for another ig reel quote …

From the beginning to the end, this book was completely brilliant. The story definitely tickles your funny bone and you’ll fall in love with the accident prone, quirky Sophie and the charming, out of his element Cox. Completely worth losing sleep over.

Sophie is wonderful, clumsy, beautiful, loving and kind.
Cox is the confirmed bachelor that she knew in childhood by his tendency to pull her hair.
This story is absolutely delightful.
I found myself crying with joy at the end.
Another winner in the Dirty Martini Running Club.

Okay my review got accidentally erased. Now I have to figure out what brilliant words of wisdom I departed .

Review Take Two -
Claire Kingsley offers up a quirky and cute romance for those who love the 'ones that got away and I am glad they did.' Fans of her storytelling will be happy to dive into an entertaining read featuring favorite characters from her Dirty Martini series. Sophie is an oft overly clumsy assistant who meets childhood nemesis turned rich-dude hottie, Camden. One drunk night and oops we are married. Can they make it? Readers say YES!

Things I loved:
- Great chemistry between the characters. Sexy times are off the charts steamy.
- Perfect for low angst readers. Makes for a quick binge read.
- Fans of the series will love the cameos.

Things to consider:
- Okay I will officially get kicked out of the cool kids club. I went in as other reviews indicated standalone. No, I don't recommend skipping. There were interactions and inside jokes that if I had read the previous books would have increased my enjoyment. Whereas some parts went over my head.
- Safety comment

My recommendation: Read it especially if you've read the other books first.

Another brilliant addition to the Dirty Martini Running Club by Claire Kingsley! Sophie Abbott, hot mess extraordinaire, is an absolute delight. She's "ruffled but plucky" and you can't help but love "every sweet, smiling, clumsy, hot mess, golden-curled bit of her". Her goodness shines except in the bedroom where she's a little bit naughty. ;)

Our cocky, alpha hero - Camden Cox - crushed on Sophie when he was 11 and after seeing her climb out a window to avoid a very "Sophie situation", realized he was still crushing on this curvy cutie. His sexy-accented assistant, Oliver, keeps him on his toes and their banter is fun.

I loved catching up with the Dirty Martini gals. Their bond is strong and their supportive friendship is uplifting. They have unique personalities and you can't help but love them all.

The guys interactions in this book were the unexpected highlight. Corban and Shepherd playing good cop/bad cop while being the protective "big brothers" was entertaining.

In addition to the friendships, I loved the open, honest relationship Sophie has with her dad and the strong relationship between Cox and his mom.

If you are looking for a fun rom-com, then look no further! Claire has an amazing talent at writing stories with great characters that suck you in on page 1. I highly recommend this book.

"Why worry about that now? I like to live in the moment. They do say the present is a gift."

100 Stars!

I just LOVE Sophie! She's such an adorable hot mess walking, or maybe tripping is the better way to describe her. Not only is walking with tripping an issue, but she somehow ends up in some hysterically awkward situations, starting with chapter 1. But she has this way of seeing the silver lining that makes you giggle groan when she finds herself in a pickle waiting to see how she reacts. And then there's Cox. He's all that and he knows it, but Sophie definitely cuts his ego quotient down, but by bit. While he thinks Sophie will just fall at his feet, she instead keeps him on his toes. And then what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. That's when ALL the fun begins. Oliver, Cox's British assistant with some serious snark, is a wonderful addition to the cast. Everly, Hazel and Nora are as awesome as ever. Sophie's dad and Cox's mom absolutely rock. And then there are the super fun moments with Shepherd, Mr. Standoffish with everyone but Everly, and Corban, uber nerd, acting as Sophie's stand-in brothers... What a fun mix these 3 guys are going to be down the road! All in all, 5 stars simply aren't enough!

I was super happy to rejoin the Dirty Martini Running Club world with Sophie and Camden! Their accidental marriage was hilarious and right on track with how you'd expect Sophie's life to go. Her luck made this story spectacular and memorable because the stories were hilarious, heartwarming, and more but her luck also gave her every amazing person in her life and so it balanced out the embarrassing stories it also made.

Camden was an interesting character because he felt both standoffish and loving at the same time. His interactions with everyone besides Sophie were colder or possibly funny but with Sophie he was loving, caring and so much more. I loved their interactions and all of the dates Camden planned for her. I also loved the interaction between Shepard Calloway, Corban Nash, and Camden as Calloway and Nash attempted to protect Sophie from Camden. Those scenes were amazing and hilarious since they all have wildly different personalities!! Overall, I highly recommend this book and this series!

Sophie is the best friend I need in real life. She's alarmingly cute, quirky and a bit of a clutz. You can help but fall in love with her. At first I was expecting Cox to be one of those rich jerks, but he changed my mind almost immediately. I loved that these two had a childhood history albeit brief. I loved hanging out with the other Running club ladies, and the 2 husbands. But we also got another character to fall in love with, Oliver! This accidental marriage is full of twists, turns, surprises and a Vegas Chapel full of love! Claire Kingsley does it again with her writing, pulling you in immediately that you will have a hard time putting this book down!

Every single time I read a book by Claire, it's even better than the last, and this is no exception to that truth. Cox & Sophie will steal your heart & run away with it, only tripping a couple times on their way... 😂😉 Cox is a man who has overcome all odds & became a real estate developer & mogul with a business he started from scratch. He's an honest, hard working, loyal smokin' hot gentleman & he's Sophie's match in every way. Sophie is endearing & I connected with her on several levels (probably because I'm even more clumsy & uncoordinated than she is) and she's exactly what I would want in a best friend. This is one sweet adventure that will have you laughing, crying, cheering, raging, anxious, crying, and then overwhelmingly happy again. 5 exploding stars from me on this one! What an absolute joy to read!!!

Usually when I finish a book the story doesn't leave any residual effects behind. On the other hand this one gifted me so many happy tears because let's face it this story was really mindblowing. Sophie is such an adorable girl, someone you can't help loving thanks to her kind heart and clumsiness. Cox is the ultimate cocky bastard with a passionate soul. This is one of those books you can't put down. As a matter of fact since that unforeseen episode I kept wanting more and more not only from them but also from those who surrounded this perfect couple. I knew the author had something amazing on hand but I really couldn't figure out what it was. Now I know how much love Claire poured out in order to make this story so special.
