This volume is incredible. It has some of the best moments out of the entire series so far.
The plot twist in Doma's fight was fantastic. I didn't see it coming yet it helped end one of the hashira's stories in a really clever and perfect way.
I loved the super creative and intense fight with Kokushibo. The fight was so epic and it's fun to see an unexpected crew of demon slayers come together to fight him. I also really enjoyed the moments between Genya and Sanemi as well as the moments between Genya and Muichiro. They're three characters that I wish I could've seen more of their interactions with each other before this battle.
I don't have volume 20 currently because the seller I bought it from on PangoBooks ghosted me... Hopefully I can get my hands on the next volume soon so that I can finish this wonderful series.
I can’t believe how exciting this is now. All the Pillars are taking on the very strongest demons in this all-out battle and the pacing is perfect. All their strengths are amazing. This is some of the very best fights in manga. :)
PT O arco do Castelo do Infinito continua a surpreender!

EN The Infinity Castle arc keeps delivering!
Doma's intense battle reaches its conclusion, paving the way for new and exciting confrontations.
The reveal of Kokushibo, the Rank 1 Demon, is absolutely epic. His overwhelming power and presence make for a thrilling clash, requiring the combined efforts of three Demon Slayers to take him on.
Sanemi and Genya truly shine in this volume—two of the coolest and most compelling characters in "Demon Slayer". They're easily among my favorites!
Holy fuck, holy fuck, HOLY FUCK, Shinobu is the fucking best! Holy shit, I did NOT see that coming and it was FUCKING GLORIOUS! The finale to Shinobu's, Kanao's, and Inosuke's fight against Doma was SO FUCKING SATISFYING! Not to mention the fight was so fucking intense and Kanao got a glow up and HOLY SHIT, IT WAS AWESOME!
This whole volume was awesome fight scene after awesome fight scene and the shounen fangirl in me was not prepared for it, I nearly died of bliss. I'm bummed that I didn't get to see more of Kanroji's and Iguro's fight against the rank 4 demon, but hopefully that will get more screen time next volume. The fight between the rank 1 demon was so tense, but I'm SO pumped to see where it goes. I'm also super curious about the rank 1 demon, especially his affiliation with breathing techniques. But more importantly, I cannot FUCKING WAIT for the anime to animate this fight. It is gonna look SO FUCKING DOPE.
Enough rambling, let's cut to the chase. This was an awesome, action packed, incredible volume that I devoured like the shounen trash fangirl I am.
From adrenaline rushing action-packed scenes to emotional moments that'll almost break you, this volume of Kimetsu No Yaiba has it all, showcasing the sacrifices of the demon slayers and the lethality of the upper rank demons.

The levels of HYPE flowing through my body are insane rn. What a rush. This series is better than any kind of drug you could take. It’s PURE ADRENALINE!

Inosuke's rage made me want to cry, but I didn't have the energy to do so because I was exhausted. I admittedly picked this up late at night after telling myself I'd "take a peek" at the story. oops. I read this and wow, I am not ashamed of the person I will be once I finish Demon Slayer. Lotta money is going to go to buying Demon Slayer-themed-things.
It would be super helpful if someone answered this: is it better to get each Demon Slayer volume individually or the box set? I would definitely be putting the whole Demon Slayer series on my wish list! Now, without further ado, I'll get to the main spotlight of attention, which is Demon Slayer volume nineteen.
Obanai has such a ✨moment✨ on the cover. I love it! He had such a small snippet of page time with Mitsuri but their chemistry 🥲. . . I feel like Obanai has a soft-spot for her! Although I do feel as though certain fight scenes feel disjointed and could be completely unrelated to others. To explain more, it feels as though a strict timeline of: is this all happening at once or are they battling in different increments is unclear. Zenitsu hasn't had an appearance for two volumes, and a couple of the other Hashira haven't even made it to the fight scene yet.
Inosuke has proven to be a very blunt and proud character, a type of character archetype that I tend to find exhausting and dull. So . . . whatever it is about Inosuke that makes me love his character is all because of the mangaka's talent. Inosuke is a character of comedic relief, with his funny jokes, and sometimes clueless questions. He always manages to add heart and laughter to the story. So it was interesting to see the author crack at his surface and expose more of his internal, vulnerable, struggles. Inosuke is driven by such rage and visible pain. I loved learning about his heartache, but I also just wanted to grab Doma- and screamed at him in a rage.
Yet he has such beautiful rainbow eyes, and the character design is fantastic! Amid the tense battle, Sanemi and Genya's relationship is explored. Sanemi displays love in a very coldhearted way and, in the end, we learn why. It makes more sense, though it is no excuse for how abusive he would be. Their relationship shows that love between brothers can be complicated.
I loved seeing Muichiro, Sanemi, Gyomei, and Genya fight against one of the most powerful opponents . . . who strangely reminds me of Tanjiro's appearance. Several of the characters go through quite some fatal injuries . . . that, in retrospect, don't seem possible to survive with. But I mean. . . Darth Vader did it, so I guess the parameters of physical injuries aren't as fatal in fiction as in real life!
ASPECTOS POSITIVOS - THAT PLOT TWIST.
This volume was another great one. We have Kanao and Inosuke fighting Doma and the way it goes is amazing but the plan that Shinobu had was awesome and we learn the plan and the backstory f the demon which was cool and another case of the author giving demons such amazing backstories and finally Kokushibo confronts Tokito and fights him and the connections to him and then there is amazing moment when Sanemi comes in and the whole brotherly bond hits another level. The author really knows how to make you feel for the characters but the battle is bloody like anything else but the way it goes is just so good. The stone hashira's time is at hand and they will not stop.
I like how the demon threats keep escalating and each one has such great backstory and make you feel for the characters. And also reflect of human and their complex emotions. The art is next level some scenes are so horrifying yet the author keeps it interesting with amazing new attack names. Its one of those volumes that makes the end even more epic.

Inosuke and Kanao’s battle concludes. I get emotional. Douma is a dick. Meanwhile a few of my babies are in danger and I AM SCARED. This is a difficult fight and I AM SO SCARED. THIS IS TORTURE 😭😭😭
it’s been a fatally beautiful experience following the unspeakably lovely kocho sisters’ arc for all this time. as i’ve expressed quite eloquently before, shinobu is the most unique and well-designed supporting girl to have ever graced my miserable head—she lived in courage and died in grace, shattering all the rules of that society on what excellence meant, and always, without hesitation, put her legacy and family before her own life. taking over the butterfly estate at age fourteen, stepping immediately up into her sister’s place as a hashira, accommodating her weaknesses by developing her own lethal weapon in lieu of a sword, becoming head doctor of the corps, housing tanjiro & friends after mount natagumo, forcing her body to adapt to over 37kg of poison in order to take her revenge—she was an absolute force to be reckoned with. revenge drove her but wasn’t her final aim: she wanted to do right by herself and kanae, and she wanted to be reunited with the first family she had lost, so she was never led by wickedness into willfully putting anyone else in the crossfire. douma’s sadass last words were, want to go to hell with me? hers were, mom! dad! as she ran with her sister into the most heartbreaking, heart-filling reunion. that was what fueled her. she’s lived such an incredible life in spite of all the loss she endured (shinobu means endure <3) & i truly am so happy that she can finally rest.
i will also personally fucking track down and bean anyone who ever went but she cAn’t BEhEaD dEmONs nyah nyah nyah. that’s a threat, yes

Need to start the year off right with a good manga. Well, with the Upper Moon 2 demon defeated by a very long gambit, it only leaves 2 more lieutenants before the big bad. Upper Moon 2 was truly the most purely evil of the Upper Moon demons, the narrative doesn't even give him a post-death woobie sympathy scene like with all the other demons. The Upper Moon 4 is controlling the actual setting of the battlefield and Upper Moon 1 is pretty-much Mike Tyson-ing every one who he goes against . The last part of the manga has 4 different Demon Slayers (3 of them "hashira" aka Demon Slayer generals) trying to just put a dent in him while he is dog-walking them. We got until at least August 2021 until the last English translation wraps up and it will be wild from what I can guess. The art is as good as it has been since I have been reading the manga (the anime really excels in this department).
2023 Re-read: This is leading into the final fight with Rank 2 taken care of, we end up with Rank 1 and like I say in my original review, it'll take 3 Hashira to stop him. This feels like the end of the line for a few characters, and I love the overall tone and misery we have going here, with everyone pushing themselves to their limits but going on. Makes for a exciting and fun volume.
original Read: We finish up the fight with Inosuke and Kanao verse upper rank 2 and holy shit what a ending.
To see both Ino and Kanao work together is great and the surprise of fighting the Rank 2 at the end was both really well done, sad, and wonderful all at once. But we don't have time to breath (no pun intended) as the Rank 1 demon appears to face off against not 1, not 2, but 3 fucking Hashira. Can Gyomei, Tokito, and Sanemi stop the rank 1 demon or is it over before it began?
This is a brutal arc with plenty of deaths, people getting chopped up, and EVERYONE in danger. When you think of final arc, THIS is it. I feel the stakes rising every few pages. I'm not going to lie Demon Slayer will go down as top 5 manga of all time for me.
Things are getting wild! I have just become a Shinobu fan, though she hadn't been a particular favorite of mine before. Inosuke is best boy. Not a lot of Tanjiro and Giyu this time, but it was nice to see other characters shine.
