The chaos at Quartierlatin subsides, and the kingdom begins to mend its relationship with the Masters. After a very long weekend, Reiji returns to college to work on his studies and mingle with his Dendro-playing friends. But as that happens, Hugo travels to Caldina to apprentice with a Superior. As he tries to level up, he finds himself embroiled in a major conflict with the local mafia...
In Infinite Dendrogram, the storms never subside. They simply move elsewhere.
Infinite Dendrogram 10 continues our adventure in the title named MMORPG world, with our main character Ray, and his embryo Nemesis, at the centre of some full on adventures and battles. The light novel takes a bit of a step back to our all out Ray Starling battles and excitement, and gives us a bit more perspective on some of the side characters, as well as the beginning of college for Ray - Reiji - and the adventures in the real world. I loved the changes in perspective, and thought that all of them had valuable insight that I can see making a huge impact to the main story when they collide. Overall, 5 stars. I absolutely adore this series.
I just couldn’t get into it. It’s one of those short stories volumes, but the problem is ID already has a lot of those spread across it’s now 10 volumes. It felt disconnected, a bit of a breather before the author continues with the main plot. Profitable for the author, it allows him to tell stories and tidbits he didn’t get a chance to include in the main plot, but I for one didn’t really like it
The jumping around from character to character in unconnected to almost not connected at all stories as annoying. The stories were good but how it was written they did not put the chapters to the same story together but apart. The were 3 or 4 different stories that are branching off of the side stories and main story. All are good but I do not think how it was organized was done well. The main story did not move much either.
Slower going book, but gives input into more characters. More of a book filled with side story’s, which was a nice break after the last few books, it’s also nice seeing characters we haven’t seen in awhile
This volume is basically filler, still it’s pretty good filler. It is interesting to learn more about the world even if much of what is being told isn't directly relevant to the main story.
