After a deadly drone attack destroys a nightclub while she protects her charge, she’s forced to decide between her loyalty to her mafia boss… and her own desire to survive. After five year-old Sachiko mysteriously disappears from her home in the presence of her parents, she is plunged into Shinjuku, a world of virtual reality addicts trying to access the entity that has always lived inside her head. Genzo Ito, the private investigator hired to find her, stumbles onto a sinister plot involving cryogenically frozen children and must battle the ruthless Yakuza in order to save the girl and return her to her home. From the sunny Heights to the stygian miasma of The Heap 450 levels below, Vertical City Tokyo in 2333 is a lawless and frightening city.Blu[e] Node is dystopian cyber-punk at its finest.

The only complaint I have with the narrative is Sachiko seems to act far too intelligent and mature for a five year old. All in all...nicely done and woven cyberpunk mystery bound like Vertical Tokyo.
