Sad that this book doesn’t offer an option of having some sort of digital version so that it could keep updated with all the new content that is being added to the game. Nevertheless, it contains a lot of useful information for new players and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Wouldn’t mind giving more money to a second edition containing all the new stuff that has been released. Especially because I love event guides.

Edit: Apparently they have been publishing some updates and corrections online, but they are not entirely up to date.

This is probably the longest game guide I have ever read. It's already missing information, but this game is massive, so that was inevitable. This is a great guide for beginners.

Chock-full of great information for Animal Crossing noobs and even some helpful tips for seasoned veterans, I loved this book. Even though I'm in the second category (been playing since the GameCube days), I still read this book cover-to-cover. And yes, there was a LOT of stuff I already knew, or would have picked up in the five months since the game came out, but it was still written in an easy to read format, with lots of great pictures and informational tables.

I told all my friends when I ordered this, and they all ordered a copy too. It's big, it's heavy, and I love it.

Worth buying for the flower breeding charts alone. Is huge, floppy, glossy and smells amazing. A great memento of one of my favourite games this year. The bookmarks are also very cute.

During my very brief (maybe two months long) obsession with this game that belongs to my younger sister, this guide was very helpful, although I rarely used it because I would mainly just buy stuff from the shops and water plants, and harvest crops, crops that my sister had already planted a long time ago before she allowed me to play her game.

I haven’t played it in months, so I guess my obsession is gone for now.

With a game like Animal Crossing where content post launch is still being developed and deployed, it is inevitable that the guide will arrive already incomplete.
Having said that, in my opinion it is still a very useful book.
Sure all the info you find in this book will will find around on the internet, but the book is very well written, and packed with information.

It does not have information on Redd and paintings, or leif and his garden products, but it has everything else.
The book is very organized, from basic tips like how to start the game, to advanced stuff like flower crossbreeding, house decoration, etca.
What impressed me the most is that sure, i do have all that info somewhere else, but in every regard, i find that i always read and learned some details i didnt find on the internet before.
So overall it is a very useful guide, but most importantly, if you are a big fan of the game, it is a great item to have in your collection.

TL/DR: you dont need it, but it is awsome to have!

Great amount of information on animal crossing, free book marks too and so much to read and learn. This is not the updated version though so current stuff in the game is not in the book but just about everything is. Coffee table book when you need some inspiration or just want to get some info on animals, growing flowers, all kinds of things.

This actually came in handy, though I know most of the stuff just by playing it, if I had this earlier when I first started it would've been helpful. But for now its still is good to use and look back on. I'm happy I came across this.

The book is a very high quality print, and I'm loving all the info on items and creatures. There seems to be some misinformation about the spawn times, but I just wrote the correct times on the checklist itself so not really a big issue.

I’ve read the French version and there were some misprint like a half-printed dress, a sentence/paragraph that was started but not finished, captions that did not match the picture... but it was a good guide other than that.

I adore this companion guide! I've played AC since the GameCube. It's so fun to have a companion guide that shows all of the villagers and K.K.'s music. It's also SUPER helpful to have the flower breeding guide!

Good book, but the digital version is terrible. I bought it on iBooks, because I guessed it would look the same and it didn’t. I sent feedback about it, and I’m disappointed that they didn’t fix it. I might buy the physical copy and if I come across it. Looks like a great guide at least.
