Solid 4⭐️

A quick romance (as in between the MCs although the read was quick too). Adorable find yourself feels in a small town with a single dad. So multiple romance tropes there!

Halo’s done it again with a sweet and steamy easy to read romance with a quick side of a cute kitty.

Thanks for the ARC in exchange for this honest review

I adored the first book in this series, but y'all, I really freaking liked Finding My One. I am always a sucker for reformed mean girls getting their own story in a series and let's just say that Veronica is quite an interesting leading lady and I really enjoyed getting to know her in this book. Even more so Shane is QUITE swoonworthy, like as sweet as candy.... ;)

This book was sweet, hot, heartwarming, and just a joy to read. I thought it moved at the right pace, not too fast and not too slow and liked all of the little details that were thrown in. Great job to Halo Roberts and now I am finding myself wondering about the next book, way to keep the intrigue alive! All in all, I definitely recommend you check out Finding My One, it left me with such an amazing feeling when I finished reading it! 5 stars!

PS: Thank you to Halo Roberts and Give Me Books for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.

Oh Veronica, Veronica.
When I first learned that she's the center of this book I was wondering how I could possibly like her after the way she was portrayed in Finding my Night.
I didn't. I Loved her!
Talk about a perfect redemption story for the bratty rich girl, swept away by a small town cowboy (and yes, Shane can butter my biscuits anytime, too).
I love how Halo took the spoiled socialite we all love to hate, gave her purpose with the classic prove to my mom I'm not a loser, had her clash with the country boy who is entirely opposite to her and goes through a real journey to find herself and pour meaning into her life, turning her into someone we all love to adore.
As always - I could not stop laughing, her character's inner voice is the single most realistic and hilarious thing I have ever read.

Oh my goodness, I loved this book so much! First I have to confess that when I first realized this book was Veronica’s story I wasn’t very excited. I thought I knew exactly how things were to going to go and I had all the eye rolls ready. However, I couldn’t have been more off the mark. From the first page to the very last I was hooked. This story had the perfect trifecta of slow burn, sweetness and steam. I loved getting to know Veronica and Shane as well as the small town of Gravity. Even after putting the book down I have a silly smile on my face and can’t wait for the next book.

'Nica is a pampered socialite born with a silver spoon. Shane is a country, farm boy born and raised with an adopted daughter. Both are thrown together due to a business arrangement by her mother.
This is a sweet read full of sass and heat. The characters are fun and easy to love. There is just enough angst and turmoil without being over the top. The adopted daughter is awesome.
Great smalltown romance with a HEA.

Veronibitch gets her HEA. I have to admit I didn't like Nica in the first book but I warmed up to her in this book. Nica is put to task by her parents and it helps her in a big way. She meets single dad Shane and they are so cute together. I enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Silver Spoons to Four-Wheelers: Buckle up, Buttercup!

There's nothing quite like taking an over-dressed socialite who's quite full of her own self-worth out of her element (you know, those high end shopping malls, four star eateries, and charity balls), and dumping her in the "back forty of nowhere." Ah yesss, I can smell the panic now like a cheap imitation of Chanel purchased at the local Wal-Mart. Veronica has grown up knowing only the best of everything. She's never had to work a day in her life, although she would certainly say otherwise. She holds a job within her mother's company, but her privileged life has meant that her role within the company has been minimal at best. Until now. Mother's had quite enough, and she's packing her dear spoiled daughter off to a farm in Georgia to help launch their new organic line.

This story is such a treat, with a great mix of comedy and steamy romance, with a touch of the bittersweet as well. Veronica's host during her exile is farm owner and single dad, Shane. He is, shall we say, a sight for sore eyes. He cuts a great figure in his low-slung jeans and cowboy style shirts with muscles earned on the farm, not the gym. He's also got way too much to do to get saddled with a prissy city girl in ridiculous city clothes who has no concept of what goes on at a working farm. This ain't Disneyland, and the tram ain't coming by to keep her cute little ankle boots from getting muddy.

In Veronica's eyes, Shane seems downright beastly (but in a gritty, sexy way). He grumbles, mumbles, growls, and snaps whenever she's around. The truth is, Shane doesn't have a beastly bone in his body. He does, however, have eyes to see just how gorgeous his city-lady visitor is. But he also has the brains to know that any idea that just ran through parts of his body is a really, really bad idea. Cue: the insanity and the fun. The chemistry between our unexpected couple could light the southern nights like a million fireflies.

This novella is a fun and enjoyable read. While it is the second in a series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone story. You'll very likely want to go back and read the first story anyway. :) The characters in this well-written story are delightful and engaging. While most readers won't really find themselves relating to Veronica, they can probably find characters within this story that they can easily connect with. As for Shane... he can butter my biscuits anytime.

The second book by Halo Roberts is just like the first book in the series a sweet and dreamy romance about a couple that are so beautiful different and at the same time perfect for each other, that you've to love them.
Veronica is a rich, spoiled and beautiful girl from the city.
She does what and when she wants.
Shane is a country guy, that is quite, realistic and has earned all in his life through hard work.
A perfect summer romance that ends with a hot HEA ❤
The romantic comedy is a stand alone with no cheating or cliffhangers. It's a light read with a lot of romance and hot scenes that is definitely perfect to brighten your mood and raise some naughty fantasies 😂 The perfect holiday read 😎
A sweet love story, that leaves you with a smile on your face and warm feelings around your heart.

I’ll be honest... I hated Veronica in book one. She was selfish, vain, and pampered even when she was nice. She redeemed herself pretty much after she hit Georgia in this book. It only goes to show that once you took her out of her element her manners were much better. This is the second book in the finding series but they are all stand alone books, but characters intermingle.

What did I like? As soon as Veronica became likable, the story relaxed. Shane pretty much won me over when he took an insta dislike to the princess attitude she wore like armor. Overall though Veronica showed a side of herself that won the people of Gravity over. Once your adopted by a small town it seems like family. This turned into a real heart warming book.

Would I recommend or buy? Yes, not only is this a warm loving series but the covers are so pretty. I enjoyed the book and definitely recommend the author.

Thoughts for the author? Can’t wait for Finding my safe... that’s up next. Thanks so much for allowing me a copy to read and give my honest opinion!

First I’ll start by saying that I didn’t like Veronica...well at first. She grew on me once she got away from her shallow friends and was told to actually do something with her life. Now you need to get the book and see what farm life or a farmer did to her spoiled bratty rich stickup self.

I received this as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I really enjoyed this book. Veronica is spoiled and she does come off as a brat but I found her enduring. I loved that she found Shane.

I don’t normally read novellas, but I this is the first one I’ve actually enjoyed! I really liked the character development for the main girl Veronica. She was a total brat in the beginning, but she really evolved throughout the book and that made me happy. She was a sweetheart to Shane (her love interest) and his daughter.

I’m deducting some stars from it because some parts were just really awkward to read. For example, after ONE encounter with each other Veronica gets in the shower and gets all crazed imagining that the soap suds are Shane’s hands?!!? I don’t know😐. Certain stuff just got really detailed and was a little uncomfy to read. Way more spicy than I would’ve guessed by the cover and the size of the book.

Read if you like:

Dual POV
Single dad trope
Small town charm

This book glows with summer and sunsets warming my winter nights. Veronica is a city girl sass-box looking to stand on her own two feet. Sincerity and real human connection is one thing that Veronica can’t buy in her high profile city life.  Shane is the cowboy with a heart of gold . . . and a six-pack. Always giving to others, Shane needs to find something that is just for him.

🍑

Veronica finds herself on Shane’s farm for business and she isn’t sure if she’ll last in the small town where getting dressed up means putting on a clean pair of jeans and cleaning your boots.

🍑

The sexual tension pairs perfectly with the wholesome sweetness that is Veronica and Shane’s relationship.

🍑

If this book had a taste it would be a perfectly warmed peach cobbler with melted vanilla ice cream. But don’t be fooled by my use of the word “wholesome.” This book still receives a NSFW rating . . . I’ll let you in on one other secret without giving too much away  . . . two words— shower scene. Halo Roberts, your readers thank you.

Veronica, an entitled, spoiled, rich 29 year old socialite who hasn't worked a day in her life gets a rude awakening when her parents make her earn her keep. Her parents don't want her to become sad and irrelevant with nothing to show for. Veronica's mother is shipping her off to Gravity Georgia to get her hands dirty with marketing her mother's makeup brand. So she has to see the farm first hand.

Little did Veronica know, Gravity Georgia has a lot to offer a big city girl and it starts with Shane, Shane owns the farm and works his butt off to raise his daughter. Shane and Veronica definitely see sparks when they meet, but will this little town have what it takes to convince Veronica this is what she really craves and needs?

Halo Roberts did an amazing job writing this book. It definitely kept you hooked and the steamy parts were absolutely perfect. I can't wait to read more by Halo.

Once again Halo Roberts hits us with a fast paced love story that left me swooning. I loved Shane and Veronica together! Veronica is so much more than I thought she was when she was introduced in Finding My Night. As for Shane he is the perfect counterbalance to Veronica and I instantly loved him!

Sometimes all you need to get out of the everyday repetition that leaves you feeling empty inside is a change of scenery. Veronica has the ultimate socialite life of lots of "friends" and things, but that is a life that leaves her unfulfilled. Her relocation to Georgia is just the push she needs to get her self situated into a new life of happiness and contentment. Small town life suits Veronica just fine and I loved seeing her getting her HEA!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In this book we get the socialite, Veronica’s story and she finds out her parents are tired of her antics. They think she is too spoiled and needs to start working for the things she wants in life, so they send her to a small town in Georgia where she meets Shane. At first I wasn’t sure if Veronica had what it took because she is so jaded and doesn’t really make a great first impression, but she proved me wrong and she took to small town life quickly. I loved how much she matured, how hard she worked, and more down to earth she was even if she did spend her family’s money, she did it with other people in mind. Shane was a great character, he took care of what was his, worked hard, and knew exactly what he wanted out of life. These two together were perfect, they were complete opposites, but they balanced each other out very well. A great quick read and can’t wait for more.

This is my first book by Halo Roberts and I really enjoy reading this small town romance full of wonderful characters, with the perfect amount of sass, angst, sweet fun moments and OH SO SEXY moments that had me hooked from beginning to end, I literally finished the book on one sitting.
The main characters are Veronica (Nica) and Shane. Nica is this Rich-pampered- spoil brat that is send by her parents on a business adventure to a small town where she mets single dad Shane who is the owner of the farm were she is staying. In the process of all this Veronica discovers so much about herself and what she is capable of doing. Honestly this couple it’s the complete opposite of each other but they work so well together.

A 5 star whirlwind romance!

Shane is a farmer and single dad. One who hasn’t given dating a second thought or a moment of his time in years. When “princess” Veronica shows up he has no idea how he will have time to run the farm and deal with a rich ice queen being around all of the time.
Veronica/Nica has always has money, but her parents fee it’s time she gets out there and finds her “purpose”. When sent to the farm via demand from her parents to market the new product line with the farm’s owner she never expected to fall in love with the small town and the farmer .

Shane and Nica’s story is absolutely beautiful. Not only do they both find love, but Nica finds her true self and a happiness she’s always wanted.💕

Highly recommend!

We meet Veronica in book one, Finding my Night, and the difference between the two, even the beginning of this book is so different. Rich, spoiled, socialitte Veronica is a bit shallow in the beginning. After spending a little time in the country things change drastically.
Shane has just signed on with her parents company to do a cotton line, and having Veronica on his farm is the last thing he wants. Their first interaction doesn't go all that smooth, but after a bit of a reality check, things progress pretty fast between them.
It's not smooth sailing by any means, but they make it work. Forced to work together the passion and connection between them is undeniable and not something either can ignore.

I really enjoyed this love story. I must admit, I did struggled to like Veronica, but that's mostly due to the way she acted in 'Finding my Night', but I did eventually warm to her.
You don't have to have read the previous book, in fact you'll probably enjoy this book quicker if you don't. It's a lovely story of 'Nica' of finding her way in the world and finding love too, throughly enjoyable.
Veronica is lost, stuck in a circle of shallow friends and pointless nights out in the city. When told she needs to do something with her life she's sent as far from her comfort zone as can be, a farm in the middle of nowhere. She soon realises that she needs some focus in her life and she throws herself into the tasks.

“Once again Halo wrote a beautiful fast paced love story. After reading Finding My Night I was ready for this story and I must said that it was better of what I expected. Shane and Veronica were literally perfect together. If you read Finding My One you’ll agree with me that Veronica didn’t seem to the best person so I wasn’t sure if I would like her but I was so wrong, she’s a great girl! What can I say of Shane beside that he was the definition of Prince Charming. He was the perfect counterweigh for Veronica. Sometimes a small town life is all you need to get your happily ever after. I finished this book with a big smile and I’m sure would love it as much as I did!

We meet Veronica Rockford, a spoiled princess who is an heiress to her parents organic beauty and health products. Veronica a.k.a. Nica goes to Georgia where she meets Shane, a farmer whose organic cotton and other organic components will be put into her family’s new beauty and makeup line. Nica and Shane are fighting their feelings for each other. Shane also has a daughter, Katie whose mother was killed in a car accident and her dad signed his rights over to Shane.

This was my first book by Ms. Roberts but certainly not my last. I absolutely loved all the characters especially. Nica and Shane.

We meet veronica in finding my night and she was a spoiled little princess.
She is thrown for a loop when her parents tell her it's time to start acting grown.Veronica reluctantly agrees with on purpose to prove them wrong !!

But veronica arrives and meets Shane the two have a tense meeting.
But after the two reach an agreement to work together it seems all veronica has in mind is staying on any of shane's sides. I feel at times Shane is doubty about veronica and where they stand veronica is doing some grand gesture for his daughter katie pulling him right back in.

They main characters have nice chemistry.
Read to find out if veronica changes her parent perception of her ...

Feel good romance

I really enjoyed this sweet, feel good romance about a spoiled, wealthy socialite and the Georgia farmer she meets when her parents insist she does some actual work for a change. No real drama, just a super sweet romance that I was able to read in one sitting. It was my first read by this author, but I’ll definitely be reading more.

Finding My One was an absolute joy to read. I was hooked from the first chapter and I couldn't put it down. I so loved Shane...a farmer and a single father, and who hasn't thought about dating in years. Veronica (Nica) is spoiled, has always had money at her disposal, but now her parents feel it's time for her to earn her keep. She's sent to Gravity Georgia, to the farm to market her mother's makeup brand with the farm’s owner, Shane. Nica and Shane's story is so sweet and beautiful. A wonderful small town romance and one I highly recommend.

Finding My One was a sweet read with lots of heat.
The characters were easy to relate to and although it took a bit to warm up to Veronica (Nica)... I soon grew to really like her. shane and his adopted daughter were just adorable.
Thrown together by a business agreement by her mother Nica is out to prove to her mother that she is not a loser... clashing with the cowboy well opposites do attract.
Shane & Nica's journey was hot and perfect. Just enough turmoil to keep it interesting.
Small own romance with a HEA.
Definitely a must read ❤️

This is a super sweet and sexy read! It had lots of fun and cute moments and I enjoyed it so much!

One of the things I like most about it is that it does indeed have a theme we have read before but it takes it to a new place of telling it! You will fall in love with gravity and it’s citizens that you meet or want to smack a couple maybe! But you won’t be bored in any way!

I am so happy to I got to enjoy this read!
