The Model is book two in the Love is Blind series by Harlow Layne. This book can be read as a stand alone. I have read the first book in the series, Intern, and enjoyed it so much but you don't need to have read it to enjoy this book. I would call this an insta/lust/love age gap romance.
Lexie Keene is a photographer. She is thirty two years old. Lexie photographs beautiful people every single day but she was still shocked the day Ryder walked into her studio for a photo shoot. It was his voice that first called to every cell in her body. But when she turned around and saw him for the first time, she knew she was seeing the most beautiful man she had ever seen. Someone that looks like that and sounds like that must be rotten on the inside, right? Again Ryder surprised her when she realizes he was just as beautiful on the inside as he was on the outside. She knew this man’s career was just starting out, that it would be no time at all before he would be famous.
Ryder Williams is a twenty one year old model. His agent has him booked non-stop all over the world. He is glad to be working but never thought that he would be so lonely. The moment he saw Lexie he couldn’t believe how beautiful she was. And she was the best photographer he’d ever worked with. There was an instant connection between them that couldn’t be denied.
Ryder’s busy schedule whisks him off right after Lexie’s photo shoot to a new country, a new job. He never knew if he’d see her again. But eventually, fate put these two back together again. This time Ryder was determined not to let her slip away again.

With two very busy careers and two very hectic schedules, Ryder and Lexie had to work very hard to keep their connection strong. At the same time, Lexie is dealing with an ex that has gone off the rails and has become dangerous.
With usually being in different countries, and all that is happening in their lives, Lexie and Ryder have to work hard to keep their connection strong. Is it even possible to pursue this thing between them? Can they ever be more than a friends with benefits that meet up once every few months?
This was such a good book, especially with the added bit of danger in the story. I loved these two together. The age difference never really seemed a factor to me. Ryder was a complete alpha. He was a dirty talking sexy hero that I loved. Let me tell you that Harlow has kicked up the steam factor to level five incinerator status in this book! These two were hotter than hot. They were also so good for each other, perfectly balanced I thought.
This was a page turner. I couldn’t put it down. I felt so bad for them both when things didn’t go their way and cheered when they did. Insta is one of my favorite things to read and I’m fast learning that this author is so good at writing it. I can’t wait to see what she does next.

So, Harlow Layne is MY Queen of 👑 Reverse Age Gap! Hello!! Intern and now The Model! GAH! My heart is so happy, y’all! (She put it through the ringer though. Lol)
This book is like the perfect unexpected present, it will give you everything you are yearning for and things you didn’t even know you wanted or needed. 🙌🏻 From the second you crack the first page it will keep you hanging on every word. Through dramatic sweet and swoony , to unexpected moments of suspense, Ryder and Lexie’s journey is the most phenomenal rollercoaster of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I stressed, I swooned, I fell so hard for the sexy, sweet and so perfectly matched for each other adorable Ryder and his blue haired beauty, Lexie. BTW ladies, He’s mine just letting y’all know now! I will share him with Lexie, cause she’s my girl, but nobody else. This cougar’s claiming him! 😏

She is a loving friend, sweet, sassy, independent and successful. When she meets Ryder she is blown away by this amazing man. He is legit EVERYTHING! He did things to her body she didn’t even know were possible.
She’s had a rough go as of late and it only gets worse before it gets better. Everything with Ryder seemed like they are perfect for each other in so many ways, but will Lexie let insecurities and the stress of her past get in the way of the chance at a future it’s Ryder? When life throws Lexie a curveball how will she respond, and will this change her mind on the decisions she’s made about her future with Ryder?
Ryder is this phenomenally hot model. He’s sweet and young and fun-loving. But he’s also very mature and polite, he loves his mama and just wants to secure a better financial future for himself and his parents. This guy may be young but he’s far from a kid. This guy is all alpha man. He’s dirty and dominant in the bedroom, and sweet and the perfect gentleman outside. AHHH! Yes, he’s that Yummy of a combo, ladies. And his heart belongs to his “sexy Lexie” or at least he hopes to give her his heart. When Ryder lays his heart on the line for Lexie will she take it, or are there too many miles, years, beautiful models and oceans between them?
There are most definitely many obstacles that she and Ryder must overcome but they just had this undeniable chemistry from the moment they first met. It was hot and electric and they never stood a chance at not giving into their feelings physically, they were just that flipping hot y’all! But more than that, their emotional connection. I love how Harlow has this ability to write the most amazingly beautifully connected couples. There is always something a little unconventional about her couples. Whether it be life circumstances, appearances, or age difference, she always manages to shock us in some way. Her approach to how her couples handle and grow through their challenges and differences are what makes her books heartwarming, edgy, swoony, suspenseful and at times angsty. But their love always manages to transcend whatever life throws their way, cause her characters are strong, resilient and above all they LOVE BIG and love should always win!!

I love it when a book surprises me and Harlow Layne does that with The Model. I cannot wait to go back and read The Intern book one in Layne's Love is Blind series.
Ryder and Lexi were amazingly perfect! Their chemistry and attraction is intense and jumps off of every page. And Ryder and Lexi are the perfect example of how love is blind, or age is just a number. Lexi and Ryder meet on a photoshoot and from there the rest is history. Ryder is the drop dead gorgeous young model, and Lexi is the blue haired, older photographer that had him mesmerized with just one look.
The Model is an angsty, steamy, age gap romance that left me needing more. Layne had me hooked from start to finish with her fantastic writing. I loved every second of this book!! I'm not a huge fan of instat love but Harlow Layne does it right. Lexi is real, and Ryder is amazing. Harlow Layne gave us an amazing 5 star read with The Model!

This book was absolutely fantastic. I thought the story line was great and the suspense that this author brings to the story line will have you biting your nails at the edge of your seat. This authors writing is fabulous and I really enjoyed reading this book and I read it in one sitting and it definitely deserves all it's five stars.
Lexie is a super talented fashion photographer and is extremely independent. She is very beautiful and has loads of confidence. She is very unique in her own right with her blue hair, piercings and tattoos. Which is very sexy but she has been hurt in the past and her problem is she can tarr men with the same brush, especially after what Ben did and is doing to her.
Raine is Lexies assistant and is also a great friend that has her back through everything.
Ryder is a man who is completely drop dead gorgeous and a real beautiful specimen of a man with some sexy arse dimples and no one can ever resist dimples. He is also a model and after working with Lexie on a shoot they end up sleeping together, only Ryder vanished without a trace until months pass and they come across each other again. Ryder is also very lonely he's mostly by himself as he's always travelling to modelling jobs. But he can not get Lexie out of his head.
(NO SPOILERS )
This book had me hooked in right from the start and I couldn't put it down. I really loved these characters and these two characters were intensely attracted to each other and the chemistry was sizzling hot. Wow! This book is very hot and steamy. But also has drama and suspense. Ben is a total creep and is also quite scary and i really felt for Lexie.
When Lexie thinks that all men cheat on her eventually I had everything crossed for her and Ryder and couldn't wait to see what was in store for them both. This author writes characters awesomely and this book really flowed.
This book is told from different points of view which I always like and prefer and I always love books that have epilogue as I feel that this always adds something extra special to the story so we can see where the characters end up.
I will definitely recommend this book to everyone when it gets released.

Oh I loved Lexie and Ryder!
Harlow Layne has really written a good Younger Man / Older Woman Romance, it's so hard to get the balance right and she pulled it off perfectly- it didn't feel forced or their ages over played, it was fab!
Lots of steam with a good engaging storyline.
I'm sure it will do very well!

This is book 2 in the Love is Blind series and can be read as a standalone. OW/YM romance and I am all for it. Lexie and Ryder were so good together. They have an insane chemistry between them and I loved them together. You will be sucked into their story from page one and you won’t be able to put it down until you see the last page. Highly recommend this story. I will be going back and reading book 1 in this series. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

5 BEAUTIFUL ROMANCE STARS!! Ryder and Lexie are a beautiful couple inside and out. Their story is beautifully written and so believable. This story has all the feels with some suspense to keep you on your toes and turning pages. Harlow Layne's writing is phenomenal and makes you fall in love with the characters.....job well done. You must read this book.

This second book in the Love Is Blind series is an older woman/younger man romance. I enjoyed their instant attraction. The way author Harlow Layne wrote the characters, especially the main characters, Lexie and Ryder, were great! I was impressed by how he was more mature and how even though she was older she was still young at heart. I loved the set-up of this book and the way it all wrapped up in the end. I thought their meet-ups were fun. This book had heat, heart, and a secondary crime scenario. I enjoyed this, as well as all of author Harlow Layne’s books! 4.25 stars.

Não é novidade que eu adoro livros que abordam romance entre pessoas com grande diferença de idade e foi esse o motivo de ter me interessado por The Model.
O interessante aqui é que essa diferença de idade, sendo ela mais velha que ele, não é o foco do livro, e sim a distância que rodeia os dois, tanto geográfica quanto aposição que ocupam em suas vidas, com Lexie já sendo uma fotógrafa bem-sucedida e Ryder estando no começo da sua carreira.
Lexie é independente, decidida e por vezes um pouco insegura, creio que pelo fato de ser sozinha e também por ter sido traída pelo ex.
Ryder é o típico bom moço, responsável, cuidadoso com a família e um pouco ingênuo devido à idade.
A relação entre eles traz à toda o lado bom de ambos e juntos eles preenchem as melhores qualidades um do outro e ajudam a melhorar os piores traços de suas personalidades.
Foi o primeiro livro que li da autora e achei ele bem gostosinho de ler e com uma linguagem fácil e agradável. The Model faz parte de um série mas são histórias únicas, sem problemas de ler fora de ordem.

I can’t get enough of Lexie!! It typically takes me a little while to like the heroine of a story but in this case I liked her instantly! She was like a colorful fireball that draws you immediately. Lexie and Ryder meet when she’s his photographer and he’s instantly blown away by everything about her so after the shot is wrapped and they end back back in each other’s orbit again both is more then happy about it. This story had more facets then just the romance and I can’t wait to read more from Harlow

The Model by Harlow Layne was my most anticipated read of 2020! I had the highest of expectations and even higher hopes before reading this book. All I can say is Harlow smashed all my hopes out of the park and exceeded all my expectations. I got hooked from Chapter 1, yes the very first chapter! This book is so damn sexy and Harlow doesn’t withhold any of that from you. She gives you all the goods right from chapter one. Don't be fooled, the sexiness doesn’t stop there! She continues to deliver the steam, romance, and swooning all the way through the epilogue!
The Model is about a cute, spunky, 30-something photographer from The Golden State and a young but very wise, sinfully good-looking Model trying to make a name for himself in a hard but worthy career. Lexie has lived and learned. She is quirky, smart, fiercely independent and more beautiful than she can see with her own two eyes. Ryder is sexier than any man alive and he’s beginning his modeling career to help his family when he becomes the model for one of Lexie’s shoots. His eyes see all of Lexie’s beauty that she can’t see. Their chemistry is palpable and their attraction undeniable. The story that follows is emotional, provocative, and intense. Harlow Layne went above and beyond with this one. Seamlessly blending together the signature sweetness I always enjoy from her books with scorching heat. Typically I’m not big on older woman/younger man age gaps. There’s nothing wrong with them, I’ve just come to find when the woman is older it tends to frequently be made into a much bigger thing than if the situation were reversed and takes away from the story. Ryder and Lexie will have you fanning yourself frequently with how hot they are together. Add to that the real heartfelt emotion that exists between them and 🔥🔥🔥 !!!

This is the second ARC of Harlow I got to read and let me just tell you, I am one of her biggest fans now!!
If you've read one of my previous book reviews, I know you're going to think it so let Fat Amy you and say it before you can do it - I am a hypocrite!
I'm not a fan of people ripping each other's clothes off in the first chapter! I like it when they get to know each other for a while and then the sexual tension builds and builds and then they can't control it anymore!
Well in Lexie and Ryder's case this sexual tension went from 0 to a 100 in 2,5 seconds!! I squealed like a teenage girl going to a One Direction concert!!
I love that we get to read the story from both Lexie and Ryder's POV. The story plays off over a few months and there's a few month's gaps in between so it's a nice way to catch up with each character and know what happened to them in between!
I kept forgetting that Lexie was older than Ryder and I only remembered when they brought it up! So the age gap wasn't such a big problem for me.
When I read this book I kept thinking that Harlow used me as inspiration because I have rainbow colored hair (mine's pink and Lexie have blue hair) and I have tattoos and piercings... well not everywhere where Lexie does but Harlow did make it sound super hot and I almost got one on a very strategic place all because of the explosive scenes written about it!!
There were a few times where I wanted to yell at them to just become a couple and they didn't listen to me!! There's a plot twist that I didn't see coming at all and there's a plot twist I kinda forgot about so I was shocked when it happened!
Another awesome thing that happened was that Ryder went to South Africa and I DMed Harlow immediately to squeal like the total nerd I am!
If you're looking for a love story with a happy ending this is it! But be prepared to get a but frustrated with these two! They're very stubborn but only because they don't want to get their hearts broken!
The sexual chemistry between Lexie and Ryder made my phone's screen steam up! I had to keep wiping it dry!! Also I big round of applause to Harlow for not making the sexy times sound like a broken record! Every time was different and unique! The only thing I didn't like was the dirty talk but that's just a personal reference. I could never understand why people felt the need to say all those weird stuff to each other!
The characters are totally relatable and that's why you can get lost in this book! It also gave me a BTS look into modeling and I never knew it was such hard work!
So what are you waiting for? Buy the book but make sure you have a fan nearby or read next to the pool because this book is H.O.T! I mean just look at that cover!

My own personal aphrodisiac
WOW Harlow! JUST.WOW! I absolutely LOVED this book! You made me laugh, you made me cry, you made me fall in love…
This was a wonderful story about Lexie and Ryder. She’s a photographer, and he’s a new, up-and-coming model. And HOT AF to boot! Their mutual attraction was instant, and things were pretty hot and heavy right from the get-go. They’re what would be deemed an unlikely couple, but to me they were absolutely perfect for each other!
Their work commitments don’t allow them to spend much time together, so things are fairly casual, though the intense feelings (lust at least), are definitely there! Whilst Ryder is quite open about how he feels, Lexie is a little bit more reluctant, due to how much time they can/have spent together, as well as their ten-years-plus age gap.
There are other dramas, caused by obtrusive others – on both sides. These interactions cause unwanted and unwarranted interruptions to their blossoming relationship – or what could develop into one! But they also have wonderful support from other co-workers/colleagues and friends and family.
They are also both unsure about themselves (their attractive qualities to others), but their chemistry really is undeniable. So, once they serendipitously reconnect in Hawaii (on separate work assignments), their feelings come to the surface more.
I totally fell in love with Ryder’s character. He was mature for his age, and lack of life experience, and loved with his whole heart. He was so incredibly supportive, compassionate AND passionate. Their steamy moments were off-the-charts HOT! * And I did love the reference to FSOG – “”I knew exactly how Christian Grey felt when Ana would bite her lip”.
There are other surprises along the way as well. Some of these were heart-breaking, whilst others were totally heart-warming and made me swoon! I would LOVE to see more about this couple in the future. I think they’ll have a long one together!
This is one book I will DEFINITELY recommend!!! I wish I could give it more than five stars!

This was a awesome read that was fun flirty and a whole lot of fun.This story was filled with romance from the very first pages to the very end.I loved the characters they we so easy to love.Ryder was a such a sweetheart also kind and caring and compassionate and sexy as sin a man who might be younger but, acted like a man who had years of experience especially when it came to women.
I loved Lexie who was smart and sexy and driven and at the top of her craft but, when it came to her personal life she was such a mess.
Ryder and Lexie's chemistry was hotter the hell and no matter the age difference they were perfect for one another.
I have to say that I really loved it as it was so much fun and we had a smile on our face the entire time reading it.This story is the kind that makes you feel good because it was so much fun and added with a little bit of suspense and the unknown it was just perfect.

Talk about a rollicking ride! Ryder and Lexie have instant chemistry, but they have terrible luck and timing. After a lust at first sight meeting, chance brings them together again, which works out spectacularly for Ryder, since he hasn’t been able to get the woman of his dreams out of his head for months. Of course, life and some serious spite from someone who should be a lot less ugly on the inside (or a lot more on the outside to match her innards) cause a painful separation for them. Once Lexie is almost over Ryder, she gets some terrifyingly exciting, or excitingly terrifying, news and has to find a way to make some sort of amends. And since Ryder isn’t one to waste and opportunity, he makes his play and his end game known immediately. The best part? Ryder isn’t about to back down. Not when there’s so much on the line. And Lexie is going to have to accept that sometimes, love and life have plans that aren’t on her radar.
I’ve come to expect a story that I can’t put down when it comes to this author, and she definitely did NOT disappoint. Heck, I even stopped reading another book at 23% in just to jump on this one. I’m now forced to remain patient while I wait to see what she comes up with next!

Such an amazing read, full of off the chart hotness and a love story that builds and makes you believe that true love really exists . . . And is never easy!
From the very first page, I loved Lexi! She is real, from her tats and piercing to her attitude. And then there's the model. . . Well what can I say. . . Hot hot hot and makes me want to be a photographer just so I can meet someone just like Ryder! I felt the lust, the passion, the heart break, and the love throughout each page. I thought about reading the book when I was at work, and when I slept. . . Thank goodness for ebooks because it stayed private while I watched my son in ninja class. Anyhow, I kept rooting for them the whole book! I needed to know how it ended! We all think it's just another HEA, but how does it even get there with all the hurdles and layovers Lexi and Ryder went through!
Harlow Layne hit it out of the park with this ahhh-mazing book! The Model is simply pure chemistry bound in a book with a lickable cover! And if you have never read any by the fabulous blue haired queen, well start right here! This will not disappoint and will leave you craving more. . . And maybe a tattoo or a piercing . . . And probably a career change! But it's all good, right?!?!

This is a story about an older woman, who is young for her age, and a younger man, who is old for his age. She is a well renowned photographer and he just happens to start his career with a photo shoot with her. She knows he's going to make it big and they become "friends". They both have crazy, busy careers and soon find out that relationships are hard work. Can they make theirs work? You'll have to read this book to find out.

It’s not every day the age gap trope is written with a younger man/older woman concept, so I was very much intrigued by that. I’m happy to report that Harlow Layne did an excellent job with Ryder and Lexie and their story! I never really felt their age-gap at all. Ryder was very mature for his age. The conflict of this story stemmed more from outside drama rather than drama between them and that was refreshing as well! Excellent job all around!

The first thing that grabs you is this absolutely beautiful cover. Once you flip to the first page you quickly realize that this beauty runs deep. Harlow delivers yet another reverse age gap winner. Little time is wasted as Ryder and Lexie connect immediately and their chemistry runs hot and deep. A mentally unstable ex-boyfriend appears to present challenge after challenge for the pair. This couple is put through test after test and Harlow is a master in tugging at the heartstrings. What a great read.

Lexie is a 33 y.o. blue-haired, tattooed photographer. She and Ryder— an up-and-coming model— end up shooting together, and the chemistry is off the charts. But Ryder is young (21) and traveling nonstop as someone whose career is just starting out. And Lexie doesn’t see what a younger, seemingly perfect guy with the world at his feet would see in her. Ryder was so sweet. Perfect, always knowing what to say and do. Despite his age, he was mature and swoon-worthy.
This was my first Harlow Layne book but won’t be my last. After 10-15%, I practically fell in and lost myself in the story and characters. Four hot, dimple-popping stars.

This is my first Harlow Layne book and I found it enjoyable and entertaining. I look forward to reading more of her books.
I truly loved the premise of the storyline. I love a reverse age gap, it’s always nice to see an older woman with a younger man at times. I also loved that it was an office romance with a hint of the forbidden. What took me by surprise was the suspenseful aspect of the storyline, I wasn’t expecting that at all. I will say it is what kept me turning the pages. I wanted to see how things turned out.
I liked Harlow’s writing style and how this story played out. My only real complaint was I thought it was a little long winded. There were parts I felt could’ve been left out to move the story along a little quicker. I thought some spots kind of dragged a little too much for my liking. Plus I never thought I would say this, but I thought there was a little too much sex in this story for my liking. By the end I was over their sexy times. But that is only my opinion.

This story is a complete standalone novel and is told in Dual POV. This is the second book in a series, but you DON’T have to read the first book before enjoying this story. I believe this series can be read in any order.
If you are a fan of a reverse age gap romance, then I would recommend this story. I think many will enjoy this story.

This was the hottest audiobook I have ever read/listened to! I do this thing where I read the book first and then I listen to the audiobook to make sure I I don’t miss anything. I am sure glad so did this! This book and audiobook were captivating, steamy and pulls you in. You don’t want to do anything but listen to this incredible book. I had read this book a while ago and loved it then. When I saw the Audi was out, I figured I would give it a listen as I’m a huge Harlow Layne fan and holy heck did I fell hard for Lexie and Ryder all over again!
The audiobook, HOLY HOTNESS!!! The audiobook was the hottest thing I have ever listened too! The guy who voiced Ryder, his voice was as smooth as velvet. He had such a deep commanding voice, it was exactly how I pictured Ryder’s voice to sound! He grabbed my attention from the minute he spoke. And Lexie or sexy Lexie as Ryder refers to her, she was such an amazing character. I love the dynamic between these two. They start off right from the beginning hot and heavy, but shocked as they aren’t normally like that. However, it showcases how their chemistry flew off the pages!!!
Harlow Layne’s writing is phenomenal! Everything she writes is pure gold! However, the chemistry that Ryder and Lexie have made for an absolutely amazing and captivating story! Listening to this book made doing chores around the house so enjoyable! Love, love, loved it.
This book was super hot from the very beginning.
A younger man/older woman romance Lexie and Ryder have electric chemistry from the moment they met which was on the set of a photo shoot,Ryder being the model and Lexie the photographer.
These two were instantly attracted to eachother which led to their first steamy hook up , but unfortunately because of their busy careers they were torn apart and ended up in different countries. Until fate brings them to meet once again ,but this isn't an easy ride its more of a wild ride dealing with careers and dangerous exes .It seems like they will never be together except for the occasional hook up. I was on the edge at times this story had my emotions all over the place,it was super sexy,emotional,sweet and suspenseful a rollercoaster that I loved being on.I really enjoyed reading Lexie and Ryders Journey it was so intriguing, there is so much to love and so much going on in this story that it will pique your curiosity and steal your heart.
I believe Harlow Layne has yet another winner on her hands here,an Amazing read

This book was super hot from the very beginning.
A younger man/older woman romance Lexie and Ryder have electric chemistry from the moment they met which was on the set of a photo shoot,Ryder being the model and Lexie the photographer.
These two were instantly attracted to eachother which led to their first steamy hook up , but unfortunately because of their busy careers they were torn apart and ended up in different countries.
