Peak Persistence is filled with tales of mountain climbing adventures, including Snow’s experiences on the world’s highest summits; inspiring stories and examples of people who overcame insurmountable odds to succeed in a wide variety of domains; and academic research that explains and supports Snow’s specific how-to steps for acquiring and sustaining persistence.
Seems like a pretty cool, driven guy, and completing the seven summits is an awesome accomplishment; it was fun to read about his journey and the lessons he learned along the way. The 3 star rating is largely due to a distracting number of grammatical and syntactic errors throughout the book. I get it; David Snow is a mountaineer and entrepreneur, not a writer. That's fine, but in that case, hire a good editor. He makes much ado about the importance of thorough preparation and attention to the minutest of details before even attempting to climb a mountain; I just think the same level of care should go into writing and publishing the book about it afterward.
