Igniting the flames of desire and anticipation, Worsdell made us hold our breaths for the ultimate finale, the showdown for the Earth's Angels trilogy series. Flipping through this 498-pager, you could experience a satisfying ending concluding the questions that held you from its predecessor, The Marilians. As the only known author to be a proud owner of a Young-Adult and Adult science fiction read, it catered the genres of fantasy, romance, post-apocalyptic, and supernatural. A notable trigger-warning: it was important to note that the sensual romance between the characters was graphically descriptive. In this heart-stopping read that would satiate you throughout its 24 chapters, its fast-paced, smooth storyline was capable of accelerating your adrenalin to complete this read in two sittings.
Destination Unknown didn’t fail to put a smile on your face. Written in the first-person perspective, it was an attention-grabbing and a delicious read that would plunger you down on its memory lane from its first installment. This was a read that spoke volumes about universal love: Worsdell implored on the importance of living by the nature's accord. It showed the beauty of nature and the diversity of our fellow universal beings speaking from different languages, color, race, and religion that highlighted the importance of respect and love toward one another. It was the perfect example for our current situation in life, the modern racial issues and color discrimination, and a much-needed read during these tough times.
A wonderful trilogy. I loved watching as humans traveled to amazing worlds, reuniting captured aliens with their own kind as they searched for a new home after earth was overtaken. I loved how the author tied in earths history and species with alien races, mixing then in throughout our timeline.
Destination Unknown is the final installment of Earth’s Angels Trilogy by Beth Worsdell. The series recounts the Earth dying from human abuse and the arrival of Angels from other planets just in time to save the remaining survivors.
However, the Marilians, a power-hungry and evil race invaded the Earth and left the human survivors planetless.
In Destination Unknown, the human survivors with the Angels and the other alien races, who were saved from the Marilians, journey to outer space to return to their homes. In the case of human survivors, they are looking for their new home planet.
In Destination Unknown, we get to see new races, new planets, new encounters and one monumental battle. Reading this final installment of the trilogy is quite a journey to outer space. It ends with a big event that makes this trilogy as epic as it already is.
The Setting
I don’t want to go deeper into the details so as not to spoil anyone but Destination Unknown is set mostly in the Angel’s spacecraft traveling to outer space while they drop by some other planets like the Cidari – the underwater kingdom, Anunaki – the Angel’s planet and Marilia – the headquarter of the Marilians.
The Final Showdown
Again, I don’t want to spoil readers about this trilogy’s epic ending. All I can say is that it is definitely a showdown between the good and evil. In restoring humanity and balancing the universe, the evil is subdued and defeated through universal collective effort.
Overall Rating and Final Thoughts
Destination Unknown is definitely the best way to end The Earth’s Angels Trilogy. I enjoyed reading this series from the 1st book up to this last one. I must say that this is one of those rare stories that highlight the characters’ compassion and deep connection to ecological life and nature as a whole. The story also stresses the importance of healing and harmony. It revolves around an exciting plot with twists and turns that will surely appeal to anyone because it is centered on humanity, survival, coexistence, and the triumph of goodness that is not only limited to human life but a matter that extends to all forms of life.
Sadly, all great stories come to an end. The Earth’s Angels Trilogy has given me quite a ride. I already said this after reading The Earth’s Angels Book 1 and I will say it again, this story by Beth Worsdell can turn into something big, may it be in print or in other media adaptation like in a movie and I’m happy to be a part of it at this early stage.
I absolutely love this series and I highly recommend it. It surely deserves my 5-star rating and a place on my top favorites.
OMG. Couldnt put this book down, the characters represent the best of us, with real down to earth people that everyone can relate to. I love Tracey and how she just forgets who is around her and swears like a trouper, but has a heart of gold. She has suffered and is learning to live and love again giving hope and love to a new family that need her as much as she needs them. The twists and turns, Qui is amazing and the details of the new worlds and habitats is astonishing. Still love how it stems from real life and earth history, with the egyptian hieroglyphs and gods. Gives me hope for the future, and a wish that there are others out there that we can learn from and become a part of. Cant praise this book enough. One of my all time favourite reads. Will definately be reading and re reading this masterpiece. Congratulations. ❤❤❤
I loved all three of these books! Beth has such a vivid imagination, and her words and descriptions definitely put a smile on my face. This was a story that spoke volumes about universal love. Beth showed the beauty of nature and the diversity of our fellow universal beings, speaking from different languages, colors, and races, which highlighted the importance of respect and love toward one another.
This is a page-turning, intense finale that leaves you wishing it didn't have to end. This book is excellent; however, I do recommend reading "Earth's Angels" and "The Marilians" first.
I have read the adult and young adult. Yes both styles and I abostly love them. I know I didn't have to but since I read the first two books in both ways I had to. Feet right and I love this series. I couldn't put it down at all. I highly recommend this series. Abostly amazing that the author made a way for you to read with your child but you both will still be able to talk about it together. 😍 Highly recommend this book but really the hole series as adult and young adult.
What an absolutely epic finale to the trilogy, more twists and turns than you can imagine. Time to start reading them again, if only they could be made into a hollywood movie, what an amazing avatar-esk film it would be... honestly can't recomend this trilogy enough, such a well thought out book that hits close to home with what's happening to our environment - if only the Angel's existed!
Amazing way to end a trilogy it is really an outstanding book an amazing series I absolutely love it is a must-read series you absolutely will not want to put it down or wanted to end
This is the final in a trilogy, non of which lose their appeal. All three are incredible, I know how hard it is when the first books are accepted with relish, the pressure is then on to finish the series, and give readers what they will love. This the final instalment , is equal to the others, imaginative and innovative. I loved it, the same good hearted genuine writing style flows through all three books and it gives us an insight into Beth, and her passions, enjoying life. This is a great read, easy to follow, well written and the end, just wow, but I won’t add any spoilers. And yes I think I want more adventures. Is it really over ? Recommended.
First off, the cover of Destination Unknown by Beth Worsdell is so striking! I sat down and read the 388 pages of this Earth’s Angels trilogy finale the fastest I have read a novel in a long time. I couldn’t put it down! I love the way Beth left the ending open enough for the possibility of adding more to the story one day, and I know I would love to read more from the world she created! Her imagination knows no bounds! I won’t go into specifics to avoid spoilers, but I will say it is a fantastic trilogy, I loved each book more and more as I continued to read this trilogy, and I highly recommend Beth Worsdell’s work! Destination Unknown does not disappoint and I would love if this trilogy gets made into movies one day!
After being bowled over by the first two books of this trilogy "Earths Angels" and "The Marilians" I could not wait to find out what would become of Mel, her family and her fellow human race.......... I was not disappointed in the slightest. With new planets to explore and new alien species to befriend, this book was full of wonder and discovery. I am sad the journey is over, it leaves you wanting more for sure !!! Please make these books into films someone :)
Beth Worsdell has written a unique trilogy: giving the readers an adventure out of this world...literally! “Destination Unknown” is book three of the “Earth's Angels” trilogy that will continue to fill your mind with questions, “Could it be?” or “Hmm...?” The thought-provoking story will keep you intrigued as the story unfolds. You will find it interesting how she weaves Earth's strange, surreal structures and discoveries into an unforeseen purpose. The descriptions, from the settings to space travel, are so imaginative, you will feel like you are there. A blush may occur if you read the adult version; that's all I need to say about that!
When Earth dies, finding a new home has its complications for Mel, her family and other human survivors. Along with the angel's help, they are on a mission to find one, but are furious that their Earth and many other planets have been destroyed by a tyrant race. Can they pull together to fight this evil race?
I recommend “Earth's Angels” trilogy if you want to read a wicked science-fiction story. I took the chance into stepping out of my comfort zone and glad I did! It was a fun, entertaining series! Go ahead, step out and do the same. You will be surprised and thrilled that you did!
In the last book of this trilogy “Destination Unknown” finds our human survivors joining up with the Angels and other alien races to go up against the Marilians. The Marilians have been preparing for a battle of a great proportion for a long time.
You will hold your breath as the plan unfolds and the battle begins. Small mis-steps can cause death to our warriors. Will they even survive long enough to make it to planet Marilia for the final battle? Will there be enough of us to go up against the Marilians? Highly addictive series you will be happy you decided to read.
An interesting trilogy. The Tracy character and her use of cussing seemed too much, it was unnecessary and distracting from the story. Many people currently use the “f” word as an adjective but it didn’t fit this story especially with only one person doing it, Although Mel and her husband were starting to catch it. Some words didn’t fit, the definition of smirking didn’t fit its constant use. The was a lack of resolution in the books in my mind. It seems that this is a series, not a trilogy.
This book was amazing. Seeing all of the other people & worlds that Mel & her people got to see for the first time was awesome and I was so excited for the humans to make it to the home of the angels. Not only have we learned by now that Mel's powers can help so many, but we also got to see the fighting spirit of all of the races that have been hurt by the Marilians. I also really enjoyed learning more about the dragons too. On top of all of that, Mel really got to kick some butt. Those Marilians really messed with the wrong momma. It was a great story and the perfect ending for this trilogy. I look forward to reading more from Beth in the future.
