The Insiders is the first in a brand new, page-turning romance trilogy from New York Times bestseller, Tijan!

Bailey is as normal as could be, with a genius IQ and a photographic memory. But still, normal for her. Then, things happen—a guy breaks into her house in the middle of the night to take her hostage. She finds out her father is actually billionaire tech genius Peter Francis, the same guy she’s idolized all her life. She learns all this when she meets dark, mysterious, and electrifying Kashton Colello. He’s an associate of her father’s, and he gives Bailey two choices—go with him and meet her father or survive on her own because those kidnappers are going to try again. It’s a no-brainer.

After this, three things become clear for Bailey:

1. She’s living at her father’s sprawling estate, complete with bodyguards and the best security that money can buy.

2. She’s no longer an only child. She has three siblings and has no idea what to do with them and vice versa.

3. She is being guarded by Kash himself. Personally guarded. And there is a lot of guarding going on there and some of it is going to drive her crazy.

A complete outsider in a world of wealth and decadence, Bailey has to find her way within a family that has more secrets than she could have imagined. One of these secrets could be deadly…

Terrific romance and love the supporting characters!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚💙💜🖤❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📘📗📕📙📘
World building: 🌏🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: ☺️🤓🥸😎🙃

The Hero(s): Kashton Colello - his parents died when he was young and he came to live with the Francis family after that. Now he is some sort of security consultant for them and has a villa on the Francis Family estate.

The heroine(s): Bailey Hayes - when kidnappers break into her home, she finds out that her father is Peter Francis. Peter is a tech genius and billionaire who has a wife and three kids of his own.

The Love Story: Bailey is moved onto the Francis families most secure estate, but she is not introduced as Peter’s child, instead her cover is that of an old friend of Kashton’s. She stays with him in his villa on the estate.

This was an odd story. I liked Bailey a lot but felt bad for her since much of her new family acted like she didn’t exist and shouldn’t be included. I liked her brother Matt, but he was completely an elite rich kid who parties too much and uses people for his amusement. It is obvious he has some major issues. The two younger kids have issues as well and their mother Quinn is every bit as bad as Peter, if not worse.

Kash is so hot and he is good to Bailey but he has so much mystery. The more Bailey finds out about him, the less she knows. She can’t understand his position in the family and the way other people react to him, like they do to her brother Matt. It’s like people want to know them and girls want to be near even if it is to be used.

Bailey is pretty much a hacker genius and she just wants to have family. She sees how poorly her siblings are treated and feels for them. She has a good heart, which is what Kash is attracted to in her. There is some great chemistry between them. Tijan books have a bit of steam but not too much explicit eroticism, so the heat/steam level is a bit lower than it could be, but the romance is nice and I like the way Kash and Bailey are together.

I was a bit disappointed in the ending, I felt much of the book was leading up to something that barely happened. Though I know many people like endings like that. I felt sort of like I did in Sleepless in Seattle where the whole movie is about the relationship between two people, then at the end they meet and it is over. I guess I wanted to see more of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks together!

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

THE INSIDERS: is the first full length romance book in the trilogy 'The Insiders', by Tijan

My unicorn author did it again! Cementing yet again why she is my go to one click author. This so so good! Inhaled, devoured in no time at all, from front to back I loved everything about this book! So unique and nothing like I expected but everything I needed.

It all started with a botched kidnapping, leaving Bailey with two choices either go into a witness protection programme or go under the protection of her father, a father who she's never met or even known about, her mother fabricated many moons ago that her father was a deceased war hero, this man she has never met is one who she has idolised from afar, tech-genius Peter Francis. She also learns on that same night that she has siblings, being an only child that appealed to her more than anything.

Thus throwing her into a world she never knew existed, a world of luxury which was missing from her own childhood, bodyguards following her every step who all answer to Kash.

Bailey is a computer nerd with a photogenic memory, sitting in front of a computer is her world, she's beautiful but reserved.

Kash, oh boy, he had me swooning like no other, he's broody, mysterious, and protective over ones he cares about, that includes Bailey. There's more to Kash than meets the eye.

As soon as these two met the attraction they felt sizzled off the pages.

Yes it ends on a semi cliffy, leaving me reeling in its wake, screaming for more, needing to know where the author is going to take us with the next instalment, loving this new world she has created.

ALMOST FOUR STARS

THE INSIDERS had everything I like about a Tijan book. Fascinating and intriguing characters, over the top stories, and a possessive hero. To a great extent the book reminded me of the author’s mafia books, the flair and the vibe was very similar.

Kash was brooding and mysterious. His silent and dangerous persona was right up my alley. Powerful, he was the one who had all the strings in his hand, while he stalked the background until Bailey forced him to make a stand. Bailey was able to make Kash smile and laugh. She was the only one who could get under his skin. And Kash was über-protective, incredibly supportive and only interested in Bailey, which was swoon worthy. The combination of them as a couple worked for me in a BIG way.

The story on its own grew on me, while I got more and more invested in the outcome. I’m hooked. But I also noticed that the book didn’t grab me the same way as some of the author’s other work. I was entertained but I’m not yet 100% invested. Of course I’m looking forward to the next book, but so far the plot is lacking something that would make it an outstanding read. It’s not wowing me yet. Right now the book is being carried by Kash and Bailey’s relationship, but I’m looking for something more. Overall the book is a great start to this trilogy but I really hope that whatever the author plans for the rest of the trilogy will blow my mind.

Call me a coward if you must but I was genuinely apprehensive to rate this book.

3.5 stars

I remember when I finished reading The Insiders, my first thought was “I’m not sure”. It pains me to admit that I didn’t fall head over heels in love with The Insiders.

As always, Tijan writes AMAZING characters. I loved Kash so much. Kash is beautiful, dangerous, intense and oh so mysterious. One thing I love about Tijan’s heroes is the fact that they are so possessive without being stifling, they don’t make the heroines feel claustrophobic.

Bailey. Bailey is brilliant. What more can I possibly say about this brilliant, sassy, quiet-feisty brilliant girl. Did I forget to mention that she has a photographic memory and is a hacker? Yup.

There is no denying that Kash and Bailey’s chemistry gets me weak in the knees. I liked what I “saw and read” about them but overall, The Insiders didn’t hit my usual mark particularly when it comes to a book written by Tijan.
It’s never usually a good sign when I have to constantly check how much more I have to read, I wasn’t particularly invested..it felt like a wave of ups and downs…. Just waiting to fall in love with the story.

Having said all that, I do look forward to reading the next book. I have my fingers crossed that the other two books in the series will sweep me off my feet.

3.5⭐ rounded up.

Featuring ~ single 1st person POV, attempted abduction, slow burn, minimal steamage, cliffhanger

I've heard a lot about this trilogy, so I was excited to finally dive in. I'm not new to reading Tijan's work, so I am familiar with her writing style. I liked this one well enough, but I think I ruined it by listening and not reading. I am going to read the next two just to be safe because I want to love them.

Bailey had no clue that the billionaire tech genius, Peter Francis, is her father until after there was an attempt to abduct her. Now she has siblings she didn't know existed and is being protected by the men her father employs at his estate.

Kash takes a special interest in protecting Bailey. And quite the protector he is. As these two are spending day after day together their attraction to each other eventually grows. It was a bit of a slow burn and wasn't overly steamy once they got together.

Although, Emma Galvin did a fine job narrating for 11 hours and 5 minutes, I do feel like I would have preferred to read this one.

There's a bit of a cliffhanger, so be aware of that. I wasn't overly in love with this one, but I look forward to see where the rest of the series goes. As I write this the average rating is 4.21 stars so obviously it's very well liked by many. In fact, the whole series is very highly rated.

I just love living in the world's of Tijan! This new world she has created with Bailey, Kash, Peter and all the Francis' and more, has this power to just draw you in and keep you captivated. I feel like I'm on the sidelines of a tennis match, watching intently to everything that is happing form all sides.

The main characters, Bailey and Kash, are an odd pairing but they fit so well. She's a computer genius with a photographic memory. She is beautiful but not a polished beauty.

Kash is a polished beautiful. He's from a world everyone envies and wants to be a part of. He's also extremely powerful and connected. As a man, you do not want to mess with Kash, but as a woman, you dream of getting a chance to mess with him.

I'm super intrigued with the ending and where the story will go from here. I am invested and want more!

SERIES: Part of a trilogy #1
GENRE: New Adult, suspense
TROPES: insta love, roommates, billionaire
CLIFFHANGER: kind of yes
RATING: 3,5 ⭐
RELEASE DATE: May 4th

This is a book one in a trilogy. In the end, we are left knowing that story has to continue and in which way it will go.

So, in this book, we follow Bailey our genius heroine. She is 22 and has been raised by her single mother thinking her father is dead. She gets a shocking revelation that her father is well and alive. And he is not a marine as her mother told her. He is none other than her childhood idol tech mogul Peter Francis. When her father's enemies try to kidnap her she is taken to her father's secure villa and learns she not only has a father but three half-siblings too. Right from the start, she developed strong feelings for her father right-hand man Kashton. He is also the one who is keeping her safe. On her father's estate, she is staying with him. Dealing with her newfound situation we brought into in a world of rich people problems. Who kidnapped her? Can she fit in with the new family? What secrets is Kash hiding?

What I liked:
* the premise of this book is quite intriguing & interesting
* the writing is addicting & fast-paced
*the emotional aspect of Bailey's relationship with her mother, new siblings, and father
that is my favorite part of this book and I think that the author did an excellent job conveying the complexity of it

What could be done better:
* payoff, I wish that we get more after such a build-up
* I don't mind suspending disbelief that is needed in this book, however, I expected a more shocking ending, final twist felt flat for me
* the cover of this book is a little bit confusing. I think the black-haired woman is our heroine but I am not sure who the other two are supposed to be. Is the blond woman Quinn and why she needs to be on the cover? Hmmm?!

And on the side note, IMO the name Kashton is just blah.

Disliking an ARC and having to write a review about it is always awkward. But unfortunately, this is one of those books. When I saw there was an ARC by a popular romance author on Netgalley, I immediately requested it. However, if you ask me if it's worth to take the time to read it, I would sadly tell you no. There are a lot of romances out there better than this one. The romance is what disappointed me most of all, to be honest. Even if I wasn't a fan of the plot and the characters, if it had a great romance where I rooted for them and could feel their connection & chemistry, then yes I would have devoured this book and probably recommended it to others. Here, the romance was the insta-love/lust type where they went from nothing to everything just because they're the love interests and that they should. I wasn't interested enough in the plot to want to read the sequel.

Ummm.... this is a no for me. I am a big Tijan fan. Teardrop Shot and Crest Fall series are some of my favorites.

This story lacked all the things I love about those books. There was just so little cohesion. The characters were flat and dull. The storyline was a mess. There were too many details for some things and not enough for others.

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced copy.

Rating this less than 5 stars really hurt. I was so excited to see that Tijan was being traditionally published, however the actual story itself didn’t wow me. I never really saw a point to this story. With that, it also ends on a cliffhanger to let me know that there will be more of this story that the author could’ve wrapped up in this one. When I first heard about this book, I didn’t know it was going to be a trilogy.

I do have to say that Tijan always knows how to bait me. She sprinkles some secrets and a love interest that I want to know more about and she has me hook, line, and sinker. I like her ability to weave a story and make it to even if I’m not loving it I have to keep reading. That right there is why I’m giving it three stars.

This had your typical Tijan characters that I would have normally loved. It was just missing that flair to get me really hooked.

Will I read the next one? Most likely for anything just so I can see how this ends.

A on do mnie coś mówi… w takiej chwili?!
- No przecież!
- Po co ja tyle piszę…
- Właś…
- Ani się waż! Ani słowa więcej! - Pogroziłam mu palcem, a on udał, że zamyka buzie na kłódkę.
- Dobrze, dobrze.
- Czyli… w skrócie niczym haker do serca?
- Ech! Tak, tak. Niczym haker do serca!

So, if NOT for Kashton "Kash" Colello, this book would be meh...
So, only cause of this H, I rate it 3.5
What went wrong, nothing, really...it was a classic Tijan's work and I went in expecting that, BUT unfortunately, I always end up comparing her next work with her previous ones (especially The Fallen Crest series, it's inevitable)...

And as much as I got my eyes cast on Kash, I found all the other characters a bit cartoonish :/ (especially, this big genius cybersecurity topnotch Peter Francis, aka the heroine's dad, I mean, jeeez, the guy is a walking talking soap opera on his own, mowing and plowing women all around him...*facepalm*, he's just ridiculous)

Bailey Hayes/Francis, the long lost/hidden daughter felt indistinctive, ok she had a lot on her plate to cope with, but it was just too INSTA, she was both naive and super computer smart, which didn't really help her in her "new" life...but ok...still, there was smth lacking in her portrayal

the story, uf...just like in The Fallen Crest series, it's all the NA hype, these young people, new adults handling the "grown ups" work like nobodies business, making the actual grown ups seem laughable and redundant...

And yet, I always end up reading another book by Tijan...LOL, her writing style suits me and she writes bad ass young hunks...LOL, therefore this time, Kashton Calello, takes the win.

Status report on September 28th, 2022.
Since now, all three books are out, I'm gonna dive in! Finally! *wink*

I received a copy of this title via NetGalley. It does not impact my review.

This is an odd one to review. I really enjoyed the reading experience for most of the book, but I also kind of have a lot of issues with it. I’m going to go the list route on this one.

*For about the first 3/4 or so of the book, I could not read this fast enough. Tijan has a very addictive quality to her writing where I just need to keep reading. I found myself really enjoying it, even though basically NOTHING was happening, plot-wise.

*Though I do often find Tijan’s writing addictive, I always feel like it could use just a little more editing. I believe this is her first traditionally published book, so I expected things to be tightened up a little more than usual. For a little while, it felt like it was. However, as the book went on, it felt like the editing got less and less polished.

*Is it weird that I both shipped the romance while also not really believing in it? It was insta-lust. There wasn’t really any development before they jumped into an intensely physical relationship. They barely talked. There were barely any cute moments or banter. But I wanted them to be together. I liked how protective Kash was of Bailey. I just wanted them to have an actual conversation once in awhile.

*So what about the plot? It felt like there wasn’t one for most of the book. And then everything happened all at once in the final few chapters. And I wasn’t terribly impressed with the direction the story went. It seemed anti-climatic. I will say that I didn’t realize this was the beginning of a series when I read it, so now that I know that, it makes more sense that a lot of larger plot issues were just hinted at to set up for the future books. I just think the story could have been a little more balanced, though.

*Some other super random thoughts — *Kashton Collelo is a cool name.* *How was Bailey’s mom able to just leave her job and whole life to move in with her former baby daddy? And WHY? Nothing that woman did made any sense to me.* *It’s not a Tijan book without some crazy drama – enter Matt and his risque partying ways.* *Who’s that blonde girl on the cover? I can only think of one side-character that could possibly be and I barely remember anything about her. Definitely not prominent enough of a character to make the cover.*

Overall, I enjoyed The Insiders, but not as much as I was hoping to. The addictive writing couldn’t quite make up for the lack of plot for me. Still, I have no doubt Tijan fans will love it and I’ll look forward to the next book in the series.

Overall Rating (out of 5): 3 Stars

3.5 Caught My Interest Stars
* * * 1/2 Spoiler Free-A Quick Review-It's Live
As I mentioned earlier before reading, I haven't kept up with recent Tijan releases. It had nothing against Tijan, just that I usually don't read New Age. When I saw this blurb, though, my antenna went up as it referenced a daughter not recognized by The Computer God.

Ding-Ding, ring a bell anyone...

Yes, me too, Steve Jobs and his unusual relationship with his daughter Lisa Brennan-Jobs.
Long story short, Jobs and Chrisann Brennan never married but had an on-again-off-again relationship over the course of many years. Their daughter was born in 1978 and for years Jobs denied she was his. He finally did (was forced to?) and the relationship between father and daughter was rocky. Lisa Brennan-Jobs wrote her own take on it in 2018, Small Fry.

I mention all of this because while reading this book, there was this feeling that some of it could really ring true in some ways. Imagine having that type of dad, learning about it when you are 22, already pegged a genius of sorts due to your photographic memory and computer skills, and oh, he was your idol since you discovered computers.

There is a lot of Story to this, laying groundwork for more books to come about future situations we know are going to happen. There is "Young Love" and also a huge threat to everyone.

So, I bought into this tale, really enjoyed most, stopped myself from my being annoyed by this age group and the decisions they make, how they think, and all of their running from feelings. I was able to read as the author wanted and will look for the next book.

The Insiders is the first book in a trilogy and starts the story of Bailey Hayes, a young woman who only recently found out that her father is actually one of her idols, tech-genius Peter Francis. The discovery comes after an attempted kidnapping and leads to Bailey completely uprooting her life and moving to be closer to a family she had no idea existed and who in turn know nothing about her. Her hero in all of this is Kashton Colello, security for and close friend of the Francis family. It's his job to protect Bailey but soon it's not just protecting her that's on his mind.

Bailey and Kash had an instant chemistry that had me sitting up and taking notice with their first interaction. It also brought a lot of questions to the book, number one being who exactly Kash was. There was a lot of mystery around his character and I found it to be one of the most intriguing parts to the story. I really liked how he was with Bailey and their romance is what kept me reading on for more.

With that being said, I do wish there were other parts to the book that were a little more interesting. As it was I felt like the entire middle hit this plateau where nothing was happening and yet too much was going on. Scene's seemed to become jumbled together and some scenes just felt pointless and made the story drag. While other scenes had me wanting a lot more information or a bigger explanation on things.

I'm not a huge fan of cliffhangers but I do like Tijan and the premise of this book seemed very interesting which is why I gave it a chance. But where I stand now I'm just not sure if I'll continue with the next book. I'm interested in finding out what will happen with where we were left off but at the same time it wasn't a very exciting cliffhanger. And it worries me that this book already dragged some and I just don't' see where another two books will be necessary for us to get our ending. Also I could be wrong about the date but I saw April 2022 as the next release and if I have to wait a year for the next one I'm really not sure if I'll still be interested by then.

This book was a good read. Good characters. Good slow romance. Good humor. Some unexpected twists. It's odd that Bailey's mom came and just stayed and what, being part of the family. The revealed at the end was good. There's definitely a cliffhanger there so I'll start reading book 2 soon!

This story follows Bailey. She's 22 and a hacker. She just found out a secret her mom kept from her. Although she was almost abducted in order for this secret to be revealed. Now she's among (most of) the people that don't know who she is and she has to pretend she isn't someone important to them. She was instantly accused of being a fraud so she did the one thing she's good at. She hacks into their computers and took their private info. That definitely got her some attention..

Thank you St Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

Star Rating : 4/5 Stars

POV : Single

Cliffhanger : Yes

Hero : Kash

Heroine : Bailey

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 5/10

Triggers Involved : Past Trauma , Kidnapping

Plot Summary :
Bailey has an ordinary life. That is until a secret that her mum kept from her comes to Life and nothing is the same ever again. She has just found out that she has a father and that too someone very popular. Someone who threatens her very existence since because of that man, she was almost kidnapped. And now she has to leave her home and live with him.

Things would have been slightly better if the man escorting her to her father had not been such an ass. Kash was not amused when he had to babysit her and handle her. And his displeasure showed. If only the man didn't look like a walking dream.

With so many secrets popping up from everywhere, it doesn't take Bailey long to realize that her paternal family is something else. Her half brothers and sisters are just as broken and just as fun and something tells her that she will never fit in here. Not that a certain people will let her. Being associated with a powerful man has gained her enemies and there is nothing Kash won't do to save her even though she still gets on his nerves.

Overall Opinion :
Alright, so here's the thing, there was a time when I was crazy about this author. When her books were so good for me. However lately, I have been having a hard time connecting to them. This has been happening since the last two three books and therefore I won't be reading more of her books from now on.

The Insiders kept me hooked because of the suspenseful storyline and the chemistry between Kash and Bailey. The characters were good and I even had a few laughter moments because the book was super funny at some parts! The ending was good too but like I said above, this one was a one time contemporary read for me.

I would definitely recommend this book to all the Tijan Fans but for the others , I'd leave the decision to you.

Audiobook: Narrator - Emma Galvin

I really enjoyed listening to this book. Ms. Galvin’s voice is unique, deep, raspy and nothing like I’ve heard before. Initially, I felt it was too masculine for Bailey but the more I got to know Bailey’s character, the more it absolutely fit her perfectly.

This is my first book by this author although she’s been recommended to me repeatedly through the years. For some reason, I had her categorized as writing dark, sketchy stories. While this had some serious angst flowing throughout, it was not dark and so far, nothing sketchy going on here. Except perhaps for some of the characters who appear to be villains and the motivations that push them. Whether or not this series will include elements I prefer to avoid is still in question. However, after falling in love with Kash and Bailey, I suspect that’s not going to be a problem.

Books like this are why Tijan will always be a one click author for me! Complex storytelling with a group of characters that had me hooked from the first page.

Sooo many plot twists and gasp out loud moments I couldn’t read fast enough. I fell hard for Kash - he’s the perfect mysterious bad boy you can’t help but fall for. And Bailey, well I’m a sucker for a quirky, smart heroine.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

I received an arc of this book.

Well, I have zero interest in continuing the trilogy, so that should really tell you everything that you need to know. I didn't like it. It hits the ground running from page one, and our heroine's perspective sometimes felt scattered, leaving me confused and disconnected. There's a mysterious feel to the whole book that should've worked well with the suspense, but often left me frustrated instead. I didn't care enough about any of the characters to fully connect; Kash and Bailey were just okay for me, and some of the side characters were vomit-inducing. Their romance was strangely paced and often vague, yet we got plenty of dirty details about the other guys, including one or two particularly cringey scenes that I wish I could erase from my memory. It's not my first read by this author, so I can confidently say that it's not her best work.

The story follows Bailey, a computer genius with a photographic memory. After a kidnapping attempt leaves her shaken, she's taken in by a mysterious group and told that her father is someone famous. The man in charge seems to be the mysterious yet sexy Kashton, who clashes with Bailey in a way that's both frustrating and sexually frustrating for her. As Bailey learns more about her family dynamics and gets to know Kash better, she's not entirely sure what to think. But she seems to be bonding with Kash more than anyone else, and it's not long before their relationship feels anything but platonic.

The writing quality probably sits somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, but my personal enjoyment is closer to 2. I've read several of this author's books, and her distinctive writing style always keeps me coming back for more - even when I'm not completely sold on the storyline. That won't be the case with this trilogy. While her style does lend itself well to the suspenseful nature of this series and I liked that it kept me guessing, there just wasn't enough GOOD stuff going on to keep me interested - especially in a love story that essentially ends on a CLIFFHANGER. So much of Kash and Bailey's relationship is shrouded in secrecy or glossed over that I'm not overly invested in them. And I'm certainly not interested in the other self-entitled, womanizing tools featured in the book. The depiction of women is largely unflattering here. So, while this has the foundation of an intriguing suspense novel, the details left me disappointed. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this lackluster love story.

Addictive and intriguing, with an air of mystery.
I was immersed in this new world by my Unicorn author, Tijan, from the first page.
It is told from the h - Bailey - POV and I loved how we are trying to figure out with her who she should trust in this new environment she is thrown into.
Kash is definitely a new favorite with his mysterious past and alpha protectiveness of Bailey.
Family dynamics, secrets, angst, banter and suspense throughout.
All the characters are amazing and will have you engrossed in this complex page turner read!

Contemporary, slight cliffy, first in trilogy

It was so boring 😴 really repetitive.
I was so annoyed of the inner monologues but most of all? Of the non existent connection, that seemed forced on those two! They were strangers and then suddenly they have this deep connection out of no freaking where. No proper build up but full of non sense, this book is to dang long for nothing! The plot it's all over the place!
300+ pages of her being in that house, of her father ignoring her , a few talks with matt and a lot of stuffs OFF FREAKING PAGE WITH THE H!!! HOW can i connect with them if there is nore telling than showing even tho this was a long book mind you part of a freaking series. I'm mad at my self that i lost so much time trying to read this but i really thought that it would be different.
Their "relationship" if i can call it that it's platonic.
We have only her pov's and that wasn't enough.
I have to put that fraking X on this author for good. There is no point anymore to keep trying.

right off the bat i was incredibly intrigued by the story. I was hooked. the book started of with a huge bang, and it would hard NOT to be intrigued by this story.

The drama in the insiders was so interesting. the instant chemistry and tension between Bailey and Kashton was so apparent and hot. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times while reading this book.

what was also incredibly interesting was the dynamic between kash and peter! after around 50% i started to feel like there was too much going on. there was a lot of moving parts but it made the story engaging and interesting.

this did leave off on a cliffhanger so i am excited for the second book!

A brand new world from the amazing Tijan and I am here for all for it !!!!!!!!!

With an opening scene that had me sitting up and paying attention I knew I was in for a ride. This book is full of suspense and intrigue.

I gravitated towards the heroine immediately, her sudden circumstances had me instantly becoming a cheerleader of hers. I felt almost motherly towards this character as she is thrust into unfamiliar surroundings and hit with a truth bomb that would knock anyone on their ass.

Enter Kashton Colello and well I have to say I was unsure whether he would be friend or foe. He was surrounded by mystery and the more I read the more I fell for him. I also needed to know absolutely everything there was to know about this man and that also kept me glued to the pages.

This storyline swept me up and I loved all the elements in it. Every character plays a part in this story and I found myself either loving or hating them but the thing of it was that each single person in this story had me feeling something towards them.

With a beginning that sucked me in and an ending that has me desperate for more, considered me obsessed with The Insiders. This book is a must read.
