Interesting, Fast Moving Plot

As this is a series, I will leave the same review for each book. The first book certainly captured my attention. The plot is interesting and very fast moving; however, I do feel as if Timms (author) easily gave away the killer which only left the reader to find out whether or not Katie's brother was actually innocent or not. Overall, a good series. I'm giving this 3 stars due to the grammar and editing throughout the book. Although I realize this series is self-published, someone who professes to love creative writing and proceeds to write multiple series, should take pride in their work. To use words incorrectly, and basically not proofread your "baby" prior to publishing is lazy. Spellcheck is right at your fingertips and I'm quite sure there was someone who would have volunteered to proofread the final copy before print. I cut zero slack for sloppy writing because HE IS IN FACT A WRITER!

This was a fantastic read. I highly recommend the series, however, it is best to read the 5 books one after the other. This series could have been written in one book since each book is about 4 or 5 chapters. This was a wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well-defined characters and found them believable. I hope there are more books in this series.

Katie's brother was convicted of being a serial killer who ended up in prison. While in prison, a copycat killer started killing people who knew her and her brother. As Katie tries to call up her memories of her brother and his friends to help locate the identity of the next victim, killings continue to occur. It seems the copycat killer was always one step ahead of everyone. There were twists and turns; uncertainty who to believe, and a relationship starting to build between Katie and the sheriff.

This series of books had me gripped from the get go.

SUSPENSE, THRILLER AND A BIG TWIST TOWARDS THE END.

The sister of a serial killer, trying to live off the grid and away from the shape of her brother, all is well until bodies start to turn up dead in and around her property!

Is she killing people and following in her brothers footsteps or is there a copy cat killer?

When her brother is killed on his way to talk about the case, no one can believe it, why would someone kill the man who was tried for the previous murders.

Who has more access to the files and evidence then anyone else? Are the police all they seem?

Conclusion of series and a little longer than other 4 books. Find out if you really know who the killer is. I actually guessed correctly this time. Find out if the original killer was really guilty. You know you want to know the who and why. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is a good way to read a series and request for ARC team members are in author news letters.

An exciting finish to this series. Soooo that's who the killer is. Is Katie's brother to blame? Who and why?
I really enjoyed this mystery. I would recommend you read it all at once. Don't wait between episodes. I'm going back and reading them all together. Sure I'll find things I missed.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Unhappy with Marketing of this book

The book overall was good and suspenseful . However, I won't buy from this author again due to the marketing. The first book was $.99 but very short as was Book 2, 3, 4, & 5. But the story hooked me and I thought surely the next book will be longer. But it wasn't. Not a good marketing technique!

Katie was the last to figure out who the copycat was, and it could have cost her her life. I must admit that this is the first time I hoped I was wrong as to who the antagonist was. That was not to be however.

A fitting end to the SHOCK short story series. I look forward to reading more from this author.

What a great read ,kept me wanting more, but I do feel the 5 books in this story could have easily been put into just the one book.

Won't buy again

Good story but didn't like that it was broken into 4 books. Don't appreciate that feel its only for money.

Too much oil buying for this novel.

A good story. Still not happy with having to buy four books to complete the tale. Made it difficult to enjoy the book.

Aha!

I had this killer pegged from book 2. Good quick read. I don’t like the cliffhangers in writing especially at the end of a book.

Needs to just be 1 book not 5

I liked this but no need for 5 books makes no sense that he split it up. I figured it out by the 3rd book but still a good read

Disjointed books

The 5 books should have been chapters of one book. As separate books they had no ending. Overall story was good.
