I could have any woman I wanted. If my face or bank account didn't do it, my title usually did. But my body and brain were fixated on the one woman who had made it perfectly clear she loathed me.

3.75 stars!

This was a steamy enemies-to-lovers tale of the infamous Playboy Prince Breck and his security guard, Sparrow. I loved how kickass yet vulnerable Sparrow was and how Prince Breck wasn't the Playboy Prince persona that he led most everyone to believe. Both Breck and Sparrow wore their armor well in order to keep from developing real attachments to others, but they are unable to deny their attraction and curiosity towards one another.

However even though I did love Sparrow's independence and badassery, I feel like Breck had to concede the most in their relationship. There was no compromise between them as Sparrow refused to meet him halfway while straight-up lying to him and playing the TSTL heroine. In that respect, I believe Breck deserved better, especially considering his insecurities about simply being the spare. Nevertheless, this was an okay sequel that flipped the script on the bodyguard/royal trope.

If you want to get the full effect of the greatness inside this story, you should probably begin this series with Royal Line, book 1 in the series. That’s just an opinion based on my OCD mostly but also this is one of those series where characters appear before their own books, and it just makes it that much better if you’ve experienced the background. Okay, that seems wordy but I’m sure you all can feel me on what I’m trying to convey so let’s move forward LOL

Another great hit from these two ladies and if I dare say, I think I might have licked it even more than the first (shssss, don’t tell anyone lol)!! Both Breck and Sparrow where characters I rooted for but if I’m being honest, my rooting was a little louder for Sparrow. I mean she was ridiculously fantastic! Individually and as a couple, they both had exceptionally written growth in the story, and it kept me on my toes from the beginning. I was high spirited through most of this story and my heart was so darn full I didn’t know what to do with myself when the story ended!

Full of action, steam and #feels, this is a romance journey you do not want to miss! #trust

Carrie Ann Ryan & Nana Malone continue their Tattered Royals series with this tale of playboy prince Breck Waterford of Alden & security expert Sparrow Bridges.

Breck Waterford has spent his life building a carefree playboy, happy go lucky façade, when in reality he’s a tech genius with genuine philanthropic tendencies. And now his abilities are needed to help out the only woman who intrigues him and brings out his arrogant tendencies in equal measure.

Breck’s inner reflections show he’s always felt less than compared to his older and younger brothers, but even when he comes off as an overconfident @$$ the reader is also shown how he’s selflessly helped other with his talents. I liked him very much and wanted him to be seen as the really great guy he truly was.

Sparrow is kick @$$ female lead although I had a bit of trouble with her stubbornness and her actual security capabilities. But I liked that she wasn’t afraid to put Breck in his place and there’s great chemistry between her and Breck.

Enemy Heir is book #2 of the Tattered Royals series by Carrie Ann Ryan & Nana Malone. It is a standalone romance told from both points of view with a happy ending. Genres: Romantic Suspense. Tropes: bodyguard romance | enemies to lovers | bad boy hero

ENEMY HEIR is the second book in the TATTERED ROYALS SERIES and each book can be read as a standalone, that being said you will see each of the main characters from the previous books in all the books because they are siblings so it's up to you if you'd rather begin at the beginning or jump in here.

This is Breck and Sparrow's story, and if you enjoy watching the playboy fall for their one and only this is the book for you. Breck is the Heir to the Throne of the Small but Wealthy Country of Alden, and Sparrow is the second in command for a Security Firm which originated in the US but now has a presence in Alden.

There has always been an attraction between Breck and Sparrow but she wants nothing to do with the Playboy Prince, until a series of events occur and she sees a different side of him, a side that no one else sees not even his siblings. I loved Breck and Sparrow together, they had great chemistry both inside and outside of the bedroom.

I said it with the first book in the series and I'll say it again, I have read a TON of Carrie Ann's books but I haven't read any of Nana's yet and for me to say that I couldn't tell who wrote what part will tell you what a wonderful collaboration this is.

If you enjoy Steamy Romantic Suspense, Royalty Romances, or Enemies2Lovers Romances I would recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!

“You know, I love the word shenanigans. We don’t use it enough these days.”

Enemy Heir is the second book in the Tattered Royals series and while you can read it on its own, I highly recommend reading Royal Line first. In this book we follow Sparrow, the second in command at Kannon Security, which means that she’s working closely with the royal family of Alden. Enter Breck, the playboy heir to the throne. Sparrow and Breck butt heads at every turn and can’t help but be snarky with each other and Sparrow does her best to avoid him. But when an unknown danger arises and Sparrow ends up being right in the middle of it she ends up having to work with Breck and their attraction to each other cannot be denied.

After reading Royal Line, I was anxious to get my hands on this book because I could not wait to see what would happen between Sparrow and Breck. And I have to say that Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone gave me exactly what I wanted. I loved these characters so much! Sparrow is such a badass and I love that not only can she kick ass but you can tell that she genuinely cares about her friends and stands her ground when things are important to her. She knows that her job can be dangerous but she refuses to back down and give it up. Now Breck is just…excuse me while I go get a fan to cool myself off with because, damn, he just pushes my buttons in all the right ways. He is so much more than the playboy front that he puts on for his family and the public. There are actually very few people who know the real Breck but you can tell he doesn’t think he deserves to be seen any other way, and that breaks my heart. When he finally drops the act with Sparrow and lets her in, it’s so rewarding and gave me all the warm and sappy feels.

The story itself outside of the romance is fast paced and action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see who is behind the threat and what is going to happen. And with the ending is it possible that we’re going to get Wilder’s book next? Possibly with Sparrow’s friend Onyx?? I certainly hope so! If you have a few hours and want to escape into a world of royals, romance, and danger, then do yourself a favor and give Enemy Heir a read.

“I knew she didn’t like the person she saw that night, but maybe I wanted her to see the person that no else did.”

Enemy Heir by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone was a steamy and action packed enemies to lovers royal romance. Breck Waterford was a prince with difference and Sparrow Bridges would make him fall hard with her bada##ery!

Sparrow has come to the island kingdom of Alden to set up the new office of Kannon Security after her boss gets married to the princess. And she just cannot stand Prince Breck Waterford. He is arrogant. Total playboy. What she doesn't know is his secrets. He is a tech nerd with a big business that helps to make affordable humanitarian technologies. When someone attacks her in palace ground, Breck has to help to find out the culprit and they have to work closely even after hating each other.
.
I love a strong female lead and Sparrow is everything I want to see. Independent. Stubborn. Smart. Fierce. She feels too much responsible for her team and takes a lot on her shoulders. She refuses to take help and that's why she and Breck are locked in a battle. She misunderstood Breck because of his manwh0re reputation but as she spends time with him, she realises he has so much more to offer than his arrogance and sex appeal. Breck has been intrigued by her from the beginning as she is nothing like any woman he has ever met. He admires her courage but his alpha protectiveness and possessiveness makes him too much scared for her when she has to go on dangerous missions. I loved that so much! Sparrow has to prove herself and she misinterpreted Breck's concern. And it almost cause them to lose everything! The chemistry was so hot and the suspense was so good.

Enemy Heir by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone was alpha hero goodness, sassy heroine awesomeness and adrenaline fuelled storyline brought together beautifully.

Another action packed story in the “Tattered Royals” that had me hooked from the beginning.

Break and Sparrow have a consistent back and forth with each other. It’s a love/hate relationship and once they give into the attraction, all bets are off.

I loved Sparrow. She’s the definition of a strong and independent woman. She’s a certified baddie and I want to be like her when I grow up. She’s not afraid to run first into danger to protect her friends or family. Breck has a playboy reputation that he’s help foster but he was doing it as a way to protect himself. That was his wall and he wasn’t breaking it down, but Sparrow can. Both are strong-willed but balance each other out.

The mystery and suspense of this story had me turning the pages until the end. And set-up for the next book as me anxiously awaiting the next one.

This series just gets better and more intense. This is a standalone but is better read after the first book, The Royal Line. Sparrow is the #2 person at Kannon Security and the Royal family is one of their clients. Breck, the heir to the throne is a nightmare to protect and is also arrogant. He and Sparrow constantly butt heads. But when she is drawn into a dangerous situation he is there for her 100%. They cease to ignore their growing attraction to each other as their chemistry is explosive. This is a great book with secrets, twists, angst and lots of emotion. Well written with amazing characters. Grab a comfortable spot because once you start reading you won't be able to put it down. I read a complimentary arc via the authors and voluntarily chose to review it.

4 Maple Leaf Review of Enemy Heir (Tattered Royals 2) by Nana Malone and Carrie Ann Ryan.

I would always tell my princess protector what was on my mind, even if I knew she would growl at me later.

Breck is known as the playboy prince and Sparrow has never been a huge fan of him. After Sparrow is attacked, everyone goes on high alert. Sparrow is determined to eliminate the threat, but it seems like the only one who can help her is Prince Breck. As they start spending more time together, their views of each other start to change. Trusting each other may be the only way to get out alive.

Breck comes off as arrogant but there is so much more underneath the surface that Sparrow is able to uncover. Sparrow is a strong and determined woman who loves her friends and family wholly. Breck and Sparrow have some epic banter between them and at the beginning, I wondered how they would ever end up together. Once they did come together, they had some amazing chemistry. It proves that sometimes the line between love and hate is very thin.

Enemy Heir can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading Royal Line first. I am excited to see what is coming next in the Tattered Royals series.

Audio... Shane East did another great job narrating Breck's parts of this story. This was my first time listening to Lacy Laurel and all though I did enjoy her narration of Sparrow's parts, I was not overly convinced by her British accent.

Enemy Heir is a royal, enemies to lovers, romantic suspense that is told in the first-person point of view of Breck and Sparrow.

A body guard and security specialist who feels she has something to prove. A “playboy” prince who hides his true self from everyone around. Sparrow and Breck are like fire and ice. But, they can’t deny there is something between them even if neither is willing to say just what it is.

When danger seeks Sparrow out, she is forced to rely on her team and Breck for help in finding out who is after her and why she is a target. Sparrow is out to prove she can be the team lead and doesn’t need to rely on anyone. And Breck rubs her the wrong way with his arrogance and seemingly devil may care attitude about everything. But, the more she is around him, Sparrow can’t deny her attraction or that she can see beneath the public persona Breck has cultivated.

Breck isn’t who he appears to be. He cares deeply about his siblings and his people, even if he is seen only as “the spare.” He is a genius when it comes to technology. And, he can’t seem to stop worrying about and caring for Sparrow . . . the one woman he has ever let get beneath his skin.

Enemy Heir was nonstop action and suspense as Sparrow, Breck and the rest of the team work together to find the enemy that always seems to be a few steps ahead of them. While the drama plays out, so does the super hot enemies to lovers romance of Breck and Sparrow. Ohhh, this couple has crazy intensity as they both struggle with needing anyone. And, Breck is alpha enough to know that he doesn’t want Sparrow putting herself in danger even if she is competent and Sparrow is not willing to give up her job, even for the man she loves. It’s an amazing push and pull as this couple battles it out amidst the chaos of everything happening around them. And, I adored Breck and seeing who he really was underneath his facade as Sparrow found her way into his heart.

Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone are a smashing collaboration, as the Tattered Royals series has been phenomenal so far. I can’t wait for Shadowed Prince!

This is book 2 in the series and I would recommend starting at the beginning so you knw all the back story. We are taken back to the island kingdom of Alden as Kannon's team prepares to become the top security company for the island and well as an outpost for their ongoing contracts. Sparrow is left in charge of this set up.

The story has lots of action and a bit of suspense. Sparrow takes no prisoners and is willing to stand up for her heart even if her body tells her to go all in. Breck is the spare to the thrown and uses that title for his playboy ways. But there is more to him than meets the eye. Sparrow does not give him much of a chance to prove himself. In fact, it takes most of the book before she bends a little toward him for something more than a physical romp.

I did like the first book better. This one was ok, but it was hard to get past Sparrows rough edges and see the chemistry between her and Breck. I do hope to see these two again though. Maybe they will grow on me.

Breck and Sparrow are different in every possible way except they hide how the feel about each other even though they try at every turn. I adored Breck and how his persona was so different then the man everyone thought he was. When these two let there guard done to say it was steamy is a understatement

It's pretty much "hate" at first sight between Sparrow and Breck ...... although is that a tingle! Sparrow has no time or tolerance for the playboy and he feels the same about her judgemental attitude. When fate decides to intervene and they are forced to work together sparks fly as they get to know each other on a deeper and more personal level. I love that Sparrow is such a badass. She's smart, organized, a lethal fighter and great boss babe as she leads the protection forces. I love that after appearing pretty scummy Breck has so much more to him and he allows himself to be vulnerable as he shows his true princely colors. The book is completely enthralling and you'll lose track of time as the danger and suspense keep you guessing as to who will live and who will die. I received this ARC and this is my honest review.

Henemy Heir is the next book in the Tattered Royals series.
This one is Prince Breck and Sparrows story to tell.
Considering how Sparrow first met the Playboy Prince - servicing two ladies at the same time in 'her' bed - you can see why they sorta rub each other up the wrong way.
But these are two feisty characters and they cannot contain the fiery passion for much longer.
Sparrow is second in command and while the boss is away she takes her responsibilities seriously, while Breck ........doesn't take anything seriously.....or does he?,
I adored the many twists and turns and the way their relationship progressed. It's not easy. It then again nothing worthwhile is easy and these two are right for each other.
I love this series. To think there's this kingdom just off the coast of my country is fun to imagine. Cannot understand why they don't have the rain we do if we are so close, lol.
I'm excited to read what happens in the next Tattered Royals series. Especially after the way this ended. Thank you Carrie Ann and Nana for a truly enjoyable read

Enemy Heir was an enemies to lovers romance that has you captivated within the walls of the castle. As Breck and Sparrow continue to rub each other the wrong way at every passing moment, the chemistry that is building between them is electric. Sparrow is feisty, sassy, strong, loyal and at times stubborn to the core. Breck is a playboy with a reputation but this man has layers and scars on his heart that he doesn’t allow others to see. As these two fight their feelings for each other they will draw you in with their connection, energy and the love that flows between them. An action packed, steamy romance that is overflowing with love and family bonds.

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
STEAM: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

This book cemented the series as a must-read for me.

Enemy Heir, Book Two of the Tattered Royals series, picks up where Royal Line leaves off. The Alden Royal Family is recovering from events at the end of Book One when Sparrow is viciously attacked in the palace visitor parking lot. Our feisty heroine manages to fight back at her assailant before he runs off.

The attack, however, pushes the Waterfords and Kannon Security to investigate, and much to Sparrow's chagrin, Waterford Brother #2 Breck and his team are brought in for their special cyber skills. After Book One, Sparrow and Breck have been keeping their distance from each other. Now in forced proximity, they unsuccessfully try to hide their growing attraction for each other. Sparrow masks her lust for the Alden heir through anger and frustration, while Breck puts up a playful and taunting façade.

That's not all he's hiding, however. Breck pretends to be the vapid playboy that the tabloids make him up to be, but underneath is the royal spare that is looking out for his family and has built a successful company on his own. He is smart, caring, and fiercely protective of the people he loves.

Sparrow is every bit his equal, not just in determination and protectiveness. She is a strong and resilient warrior, she works hard. It is no wonder she has earned her team's respect as Kannon's number two.

The pace of this book is spot-on. Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone create a fantastic mix of adrenaline-inducing action and spicy romance that keep the pages turning. The chemistry between Breck and Sparrow is undeniably hot. I love the slow build from flirtatious bickering to unbridled passion.

While this story is mainly about Breck and Sparrow, we also fall in love with the other characters. London and Kannon from Book One make a small but meaningful appearance. And Roman and Wilder are endearing as ever. I cannot wait for their books.

I highly recommend this read. Yes, it can stand alone, but get the full experience by reading Book One, too.

It was always going to take a great book to make me love this playboy prince after his off-putting introduction in the series starter, and this just wasn't that. While I did like Breck more than anticipated, our couple doesn't actually spend a lot of time on the page together, so it felt like the book dragged and then turned into total instalove - in my opinion. If you're going to try to redeem an unlikable character AND have a successful dislike to love romance, then the couple has to spend a lot of time together. This installment in a series of interconnected standalones revolves much more around the action, suspense, and family dynamic. I still liked the quick, sexy feel and I'm intrigued about some of the other characters, but this was a forgettable read for me.

The story follows Sparrow and Breck, two people who started off on the wrong foot. Sparrow's first glimpse of Breck happened when she walked in on him in bed with two women, and he's lived up to his carefree playboy persona ever since. But when Sparrow's dangerous job puts her in harm's way - again and again - Breck shows his softer side. He's neither as lazy nor as clueless as Sparrow thought, and he seems genuinely concerned about her well-being. As the two spend time together, Sparrow softens towards Breck, and it's not long before things are heating up between them.

While reading the first book in this series certainly isn't required, there are some family dynamics that tie everything together. I liked the suspenseful and sexy feel of the first book, so I was excited to dive into this one - even if I was a little skeptical of the hero. I'm not anti-playboy, but when it's the central topic, it's tough to ignore. Thankfully, there's no OW drama in this and it was easy to like Breck once we got to know him better. There's actually a great guy hiding behind his actions, and I would've liked more focus on that. For me, this just needed a different ratio of romance to suspense, because the romance gets lost amidst everything else. Am I going to continue with the series? Well, I don't know, because they did nothing to ramp up my excitement for the next one. I received an early copy and am voluntarily leaving a review of this action-packed romance.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

I know men like him. Powerful. Arrogant. Trouble. The world is his playground. The playboy prince, the tabloid favorite, and the bane of my existence. And unfortunately, he's the only one who can help me uncover the truth. We're all but shackled together as he works to help me find my stalker before another attack. I don't want to trust him. I don't want to want him. But letting Breck Watford in might be the only things to save us both.
I've never met a woman like her. My secrets are mine to keep, but she has a habit of finding the truth. Sparrow Bridges can't discover who I am under the crown. She is everything I told myself I couldn't have. I push her away every chance I can...only every time I look at her I fall harder. When danger comes, I can't stand the idea of losing her before I have a chance to claim her. She doesn't need a savior. But anyone who threatens Sparrow will soon find they don't want me as an enemy.

You do not have to read the first book in this series to read this one but I highly recommend it. It is the first book in the Tattered Royals. These books will have some of the same characters in them and are about Kennon Security who have the Royal family as one of their clients. Sparrow is the number two guy and knows that Breck, the heir to the throne is a total nightmare to protect. He is also really cocky and arrogant and I just am not a fan of him. To say the least he and Sparrow butt heads constantly. But, when she draws the attention of a stalker, Sparrow is there for her one hundred percent of the time and let me say that these two have some of the most amazing chemistry. This book is full of secrets, twist and turns you will never see coming and you will be on the edge of your seat. I loved these characters so much and the story they had to tell.

So much more than just romance and suspense

This book is about so much more than just an enemies to lovers romance with a crap ton of suspense. Although it has plenty of both. And excellently well done too, I might add.

What got me was the family aspect. The expectations that are put on us (royal or not, true or not, wanted or not), the "roles" we're assigned in the family, how those roles affect us throughout our lives. And how we grow in them or out of them.

Breck and his "assigned" role brought back a lot of memories and issues from my own childhood and the "role" I was given. Part of that assignment was true (aka the stubborn and picky one) but there was always something much deeper to it that was never acknowledged. The same is true for Breck, he was assigned a role, long before it could have been remotely true, but it was never a fully true assignment and had deeper truths that were never acknowledged. Although he did enjoy it for a while. There was so much more to Breck than met the eye.

Sparrow is a badass, plain and simple. She's also deeply loyal, has her own insecurities (just like all of us do) and has no time for a prince who seems to play games and isn't a serious contender for anything, let alone her heart.

But as usual, life is what happens while you're making plans. And life throws Breck and Sparrow a curve ball that forces both of them to acknowledge there's more to each of them than meets the eye.

This is book 2 in this series and can absolutely be read as a complete stand alone. You do NOT have to read the first book to read this one. I do, however, recommend you do because doing so will enhance and already great book.

Nana and Carrie Ann are amazing in this collaboration, which is no surprise since they're amazing as individual writers, and I'm ready and waiting for the rest of the books in this series.

The authors take us on a wild ride in book 2 of the Tattered Royals series, Enemy Heir. Playboy Prince Breck does *not* impress Sparrow. While she's busy setting up shop for her boss in their new island home base Breck is fostering his well established playboy persona with a devil may care attitude. But Breck has a lot more going on in his life than his family or royal subjects give him credit for. When he's brought in on security review while Sparrow tries to track down the threat to the royal family, his hidden projects are exposed in all of their tech genious.

Breck and Sparrow had chemistry in spades as opponents, so it's no shock that the two have explosive chemistry when they stop fighting their attraction to one another. Enemy Heir is full of action, excitement, and the danger brought to the shores of the island as a past case comes back to seek revenge on the security team.

Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone are proving to be a powerhouse duo, who have brought a thrilling series following this small royal family of siblings, left to rule their kingdom far too young. I loved Enemy Heir and I am so excited to get my hands on the next installment of this series.

This was an action packed book that kept me on my toes throughout the story. This enemy to lovers read had a constant push/pull between the character that had me hooked from the start.

Breck, the playboy prince is more than what meets the eye and he has his eye on Sparrow. He is the 'spare' heir to the throne and a techie that secretly sells his creations and donates the proceeds to charities. He struggles with his role in his family but has an attraction to Sparrow that won't stop and he is determined to find who attacked her.

Sparrow, the second in command of Kannon Security has quite a dislike for the Playboy Prince. She takes her responsibilities seriously and can not explain the attraction that she has to Breck. The pull that she has to him makes her crazy but she can't resist despite the snarky barbs that they exchange.

The chemistry between this pair was off the charts and the twists in the story had me hooked. The suspense at times nearly killed me. Where this story can be read as a stand alone, reading the first book of this series would be helpful. Overall, this was a good read that I would recommend to others.

Definitely a drama filled story that kept me entertained. Sparrow is fiercely independent and a little sassy, she is great at her job and it’s afraid to get her hands dirty. Working security for the royal family definitely is a dirty job. When she is the one being attacked, there is definitely a problem. When her least favorite royal family member gets involved in her safety, she is not happy about it. Breck is a royal pain and has his eye on Sparrow. These two have amazing chemistry and laugh out loud banter that kept me extremely entertained. As they work together to find out who is after her they find out, they might not hate each other after all. This was a action packed, well layered story with some great twists and turns. I really enjoyed this quick read. I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series!

Breck is the playboy prince and heir to the throne of Alden, but he is more than what he shows the world and his family. Sparrow is second in command for Kannon Security and is working closely with the royal family of Alden to get their new base of operations going. Breck and Sparrow have sparred and butted heads since Sparrow caught him with his pants down. When Sparrow ends up in the middle of danger, she must work closely with Breck to find out who is targeting her. As Breck and Sparrow spend time together, they find it harder to fight their attraction to each other. Will Breck let his defenses down and let Sparrow see the real him? Will Breck and Sparrow be able to neutralize the danger to Sparrow? What will Sparrow do when Breck walks away from his feelings and fears for her? Will Breck be able to get Sparrow to forgive him for walking away? Will Breck come to terms with Sparrow's job and the possible danger involved? I really loved Breck and Sparrow. Their chemistry is electric! I would definitely recommend getting Enemy Heir by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone. I received an ARC copy of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I liked the first book in this series, but this one...man it was hard to get through as much as I did. I made it 35% and it a struggle to make it that far. A lot of it was due to Breck, I'm not a fan of the grown man-boy man-whore. I think it makes it worse this time around because he was a Royal and the Heir. It didn't help how Sparrow met Breck the first time and was still attracted to him, I kept asking....why. The thing that really bothered me was that Breck is smart, but hides it under a playboy rep, not sure why. In the end, even knowing that last tidbit wasn't enough to keep me reading. This one just wasn't for me.

Right from the start, Breck and Sparrow caught my attention and kept it throughout. They intrigued me especially after reading the blurb and how their dynamics are right from the start of the story. You get the idea of how these two fits. Breck is a royal pain on Sparrow's side but she has to keep an eye on him as that's her job. Breck definitely doesn't make it easy on her. Their banter kept me highly entertained. And they have amazing chemistry too. The action and suspense also kept me on the edge of my seat. I wished this didn't end but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Enemy Heir is Book 2 of the Tattered Royals series by Carrie Ann Ryan and Nana Malone. Even though this is the second book in the series, it stands perfectly fine on its own, although Book 1 is pretty darn good too and I highly recommend reading it.

I loved meeting Sparrow and Breck in Book 1 so I was excited to learn Book 2 was their turn. Lots of action and steam made this a very enjoyable story. I can't wait to read what's in store for our other prince and the King!
