Rate this book
More quests, more levels, more supervillains.

Sam might have helped defeat the world's most powerful villain, but he still has a lot of levels to earn with his unique power, Level Up. And the best place to do that is the world's greatest hero program.
Even a power gamer in a world full of super heroes can use some education, assuming he can survive the dangerous tryouts, the outrageous curriculum, and the deadly villains along the way.

Warning: This book contains awesome super powers, sexy women, sex scenes, explosions, crazy power leveling, and the ability to become the strongest person the universe has ever seen. That’s right, we said universe.

Several bars down from book 1

This series is a medley of several genres, with little consistency. The main protagonist is all over the place, and his accumulative harem stays two-dimensional notches on his achievement stick, with little individual development

I don't quite understand where all the positive 5 star reviews are coming from. In my opinion this book was even worse than the first one in the series.

The entire setting is complete nonsense with apparently little to no thought given to making any of it logical or believable or at least internally consistent.

The LitRPG mechanic is wasted on the story. It feels like it was just added with little thought given about how to make it work. It might as well be not there at all.

The characters are the least bad about the story, but that isn't saying much.

The plot is not well structured. If this was some sort of webserial that might be okay, but as a book it really isn't.

All that might be forgivable if at the end of the day this was just a bit of Superhero porn with only a thin excuse for a plot in between thevsex scenes. For that to have worked the sex scenes would have to have been better to carry the story by themselves.

As it is it simply doesn't work for me. Your mileage may wary, but to me it is a collection of genres and tropes and ideas, that were inexpertedly assembled after being copied from other better works.

Sam And Company's Freshman Year Of Hero College Proves More Challenging Than Expected!

Though the first Year of Ascension is noted for causing more people to wash out of the Hero Training program than any other Sam and his friends face it with confidence since they have actually fought a truly powerful villain before. The thing which will most challenge them is not the school's curriculum, but their fellow students. The hero teachers only engage the students academically and in combat training; whereas their fellow students engage them in the greater dangers of social and political competition.

This is a LitRPG, Harem, Romance/Erotica, Fantasy novel; being the second in the Level Up Series. It may appeal to fans of the wider genres of Fantasy, Romance, Erotica, and Harem fiction as well as to player of RPGs.

A Snow-Angel, Bermuda & a Hot Principal...

Ok. All of the great storytelling is... well... GREAT!
However; these reviews are permanent records, but I must mention the number of contextual errors, literal spelling errors & even what seemed transposition of situational characters indicated a rush to finish this book's writing to its conclusion. I am NOT a professional Editor, but I could make the case for a trained Proofreader to take a look at such books before publishing could have been of some help here... just saying.
BUT! The stories ALWAYS make up for ANY such shortfalls that may occur!
Keep those coming! You are one of the Five of my favorite writers after saying this.
With only my up most respect, sir. I have the benefit of looking in to these worlds as a 'hindsight' reader. You are still light-years better than many of your contemporaries.
Cheers!

Level up without a Max

This is definitely a super power that wish I had. To be able to gain stats and be able to move them around when needed is just amazing if you know how to use them and in different situations.
Being a hero is everybody's dream in this story, but not everyone can be a hero. Some people become villains and must be bad, but the heroes save the day.
Heroes have to learn to use their skills and what better place than in a world renowned school that teaches heros and is taught by heroes.

This was another great story with exciting battles for good and fun sex (with multiple partners).
I'm looking forward to seeing where our hero goes from here.

Amazing

It's amazing to see growth in a character and author and this happens here. After the climatic s rank battle I was curious to see how the story would go and it didn't disappoint. Rather than falling down the constant escalation spiral the story moves forward as in life with new challenges and plot hooks. The only disappointment is that while reading some parts felt that areas had been cut from but not enough to spoil the dead but enough to feel something was there once. Overall amazing book and if there was a under 18 version I would love to read that as the character, story and setting are captivating I'd love to read it to my kids but a bit more PG

Enjoyable

The author is really onto something worth the plot here. However, there's a ton more left to explore abs the situations that arise are summarily and promptly concluded. The action sequences leave something to be desired. Last but not least, the aspects, especially Sam's, could be explored in much greater detail. Overall good premise, just feels a bit rushed. If the author lavished a much detail on the aforementioned areas as they do the steamy scenes i feel it would be more well rounded and complete.

DNF | This second book continues on in an interesting hero world (like a more adult version of My Hero Academia), with a similar execution to book 1.
I had to stop though when following a conversation about fidelity with another character, our overly good guy MC is almost immediately flirting and more with another woman outside of his current relationship 'because his powers told him so'... and the act is more or less used as a form of bribery..

A fun read you can't put down.

Simon Archer has created a great story based around a group of fun and loveable characters. The more you get to know the characters and their backstory, the more you love them. All have developed amazingly since introduced in the first book, and I can't wait to see how far they go. This series is starting to become my favorite superhero series, hopefully the next book will come out soon.

Mostly World building

It was a decent story. A lot more human situations happened in this superhuman world. The plot points were mostly there to show the world at large. My biggest gripe is how many pages were dedicated to sex scenes. Bro like 75 pages of sex scenes. I know these are harem stories but when there's so much sex scenes it makes me think the writer ran out of story ideas.

Good story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Sadly, the book needs better editing. The tense repeatedly shifts between past and present. There are a couple of places where character's names change. I would have given this book a 3 and a half stars, if it was possible. Three stars is too harsh. There were also times when it was difficult to tell who was speaking. Despite the obvious issues, I look forward to reading more about these characters and their further adventures.

Great read

Following along nicely after the events of the first book, this one takes itself a little less seriously, folding in many story arcs that intertwine to create a fantastic read.
Again the harem parts are fairly well contained so that if, like me, you aren’t too bothered by them you can easily skim past them without it being detrimental.

Yes Yes Yes!!!!!

Excellent book 2. I loved each and every arc. My only regret is not getting more of Mason and finding him a love interest. But all in all, a really fun and well paced journey for Sam and his girls. I only put the book down if I absolutely had to. Great job Mr. Simon Archer. I’m looking forward to book 3 as soon as you can get it out.

Good with potential

There is some real potential for this story to be really really good. I think at times author got a little lazy with villain development in the story had a villain that had the potential to be something better than what was given but overall an entertaining read didn’t feel cheated

Good fun book

Fun series. I like the premises and the flow of the story. The lack a major boss battle at the end was refreshingly unusual. So 3 more years and then onto hero work. Can't wait for the next set of powers his aspect grants and what babes he has to seduce. Looking forward to the next book.

MC overpowered and Harem

I just enjoyed the book. I’ve read a lot of gamelit and I’m nope as picky as some. I thought the series was interesting enough to continue reading. My only gripes are a couple obvious syntax errors and spelling mistakes. Very minor plot issues but overall a fun read.

Great Series!

I can’t stress enough how much I’ve enjoyed this series so far. It’s a nice modern take on the litrpg genre where almost all the books take place inside a virtual or alternate reality.

It reads and feels like an Adult version of My Hero Academia and I’ll continue to read as long books continue to be written!

Interesting

The book had a typical storyline, but what makes this book a gem is how the author wove the personal story into it. It is a thrilling book, if you have time I definitely recommend picking it up

Great author and great books. Here is to trying to wait patiently for the next book. Knowing it’s going to be just as good if not better than the previous one. Highly recommend this author no matter what book you choose to read of his.

Love story but to much sex.

Love books but to much sex. Looking for next book. I loke the story line and the caretaker build up and back grounds. With a little less sex the books would be grate.

Awesome follow up to the first novel

Sam the protagonist is your everyday super hero college student with a modest 4 to 5 hottie harem. His powers while not OP are always enough to keep the villains on their back foot. Definitely on my must read list!

Great story

The book was great with a great story to it. The only thing that could be improved was possibly making it longer to clarify the time line it can be a little jumpy at times but not bad enough to get lost

Book 2 was excellent

I'm really enjoying this fast paced and well written series. Sam and his budding harem of bad ass women are growing as characters and the sexual adventures flow within the story. Looking forward to book 3 keep them coming!!

A great sequel to the first book. Despite the overwhelming advantage that the MC's ability has he remains grounded and likable throughout the story. Also I hated how the stalker's mother tried to buy off her son's crimes. Particularly since that definitely happens in real life.
