Focus on the Family is a conservative, interdenominational Christian parachurch organization founded in 1977 by psychologist James Dobson, and currently based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is active in promoting an effort toward its socially conservative views on public policy.
The stated mission of the organization is "nurturing and defending the God-ordained institution of the family and promoting biblical truths worldwide". The core promotional activities of the organization include a daily radio broadcast by its president Jim Daly and his colleagues, providing free resources according to Focus on the Family views, and publishing magazines, videos, and audio recordings. The organization also produces programs for targeted audiences, such as Adventures in Odyssey for children, dramas, Focus on the Family Radio Theatre, and Family Minute.
Several years ago, I read the book by Corrie Ten Boom (Author), Elizabeth Sherrill (Author), and John Sherrill (Author). https://www.amazon.com/Hiding-Place-C...
I listened to the Radio Theater version by Focus on the Family this time. Of course, it is not as informative as the book. https://www.amazon.com/Hiding-Place-R...
This is an abridged audio drama of Corrie Ten Boom's book The Hiding Place. It is a fabulous and dramatic edition of her story as a worker of the Holland Underground and consequential prisoner of war during the Nazi Occupation. She never set out to be part of the Underground. She, her father, and sister merely wanted to show love and friendship towards God's Chosen People - the Jews. It's a amazing and frightening story of survival of WWII Nazi persecution and oppression that was only made possible through her faith that her Lord God was always in control.
