It was a long journey for the heroine, and it's impossible not to admire her by the end.

5/5 ⭐️ Review
There’s nothing like a good story about self-love, sabotage, friendship, romance and healing. This combination makes for some really good reading. In her final installment of the Sidelined trilogy, Bianca Williams delivers all of the above plus more.

𝑺𝒚𝒏𝒐𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒔:
After giving her heart to professional football player Shane Smith, Bryn Charles finally decides to go after what is rightfully hers, Shane’s heart. In her attempt to once and for all, get her man, Bryn presents Shane with a contract hoping to get all that she has been waiting for, including a ring. But little does Bryn know, Shane’s baby momma has some unfinished business she plans to handle at any and all costs.

𝑴𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔:
I really enjoyed this novel. It took me on an emotional rollercoaster. There were moments throughout the book I wanted to yell at both Shane and Bryn. I was invested in the outcome of their story.

The book moved at a smooth, steady pace. Even when I wasn’t reading I found myself thinking of the characters. Wondering what would happen next. With constant questions circulating in my mind, I found it difficult to put the book down.

Now, although I read 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 ( 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺) I did not read the first two books 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 and 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆. Yet, I never felt the story was lacking in details. I was able to follow the story as if this was a stand alone book.

As a bonus, the first four chapters of the 1st installment of the trilogy 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁, can be found in the back of the book. I think this is pretty cool. Having these chapters in the back allowed me to see the moment Shane and Byrn actually met. Which now, makes me want to read the first 2 books.

Overall, I give 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 5/5⭐️s. I found it very satisfying & extremely well written.

All the loopty loops.....for nothing

I decided to save my review of this series until I finished the last book. I am so stressed....this whole book series was stressful. I understand relationships have their ups and downs but this one just stayed down and nothing really got cleared up. Continuously it was implied that Shane cheated on Bryn but the readers never get the concrete evidence of it, we just get led on like Bryn. And Shane was too seen childish, nothing about him screamed yes I'll take a carbon copy of him in real life. The series honestly was long for no reason. I'm glad Bryn finally let him go. I understand the point the author was making with the curveballs in this series but it was just too much. Now granted I'm a little biased because I absolutely hate stories that leave the women to be the fool the entire time and when I get to the last 2 quick chapters they either find themselves and get the upper hand or they just stay the fool and accept garbage.

I gave 3 stars because the story was so exhausting and some parts of it just didn't mesh well for the story as a whole. I had to force myself to finish the whole series because I was already invested thinking this girl was gonna wake and smell the roses at the beginning of book 2...I was so disappointed and annoyed.

Wow, what an ending ! I didn't see it coming at all. I really loved this series. I finished The Contract in one weekend. It was a welcome escape from the news. The author, Bianca Williams, gives you a behind the scenes view into a realistic love story. Even though Shane is a superstar, we all know a guy like him. Many of us have dated him. Book 2, The Penalty was a drama roller coaster but The Contract had me caught up in a whole different way as the characters matured. I was definitely rooting for Bryn. The author sewed the story up well, all the characters got a good storyline and there were some great laughs along the way. Mandy is something else! All in all, I definitely recommend this book. You can read it as a stand alone or as a fan of the trilogy. Kudos to the author on that because its not easy to do without being repetitive. If you read the whole trilogy, I think you will definitely be satisfied with the ending. I would be ok with another one or a prequel.

Bianca Williams is a BRILLIANT & TALENTED author! She blew my mind with the last book in her trilogy. Sidelined “The Contract” was an excellent read. Bryn is my shero. I cried with her all through this book. She turned a painful situation into something phenomenal. I LOVE the message that this book sends. Sometimes you just have to go through the fire to get to peace at the end. Shane broke her heart but she didn’t let him break her spirit. I am sad that this series has come to an end. I hope one day Bryn finds complete love & happiness but in order to do that, she had to forgive Shane & let him go. EXCELLENT JOB, Bianca. ❤️

Only read it to get closure

Honestly the best book in the series. I only read it to get closure on what happened and it was not what I expected.

Readers’ Comments
“I must say, this is a top-notch romance. I loved the football setting, and I enjoyed getting to know Bryn who´s sort of cool – most of the time! I wasn´t a big fan of Shane as he was just too immature for my liking. But, hey, he´s a football star; maybe that´s the way they are.” Female reader, aged 43
“A very enjoyable romantic drama. I´d recommend reading the other books to get to know the characters better and see how they develop. I sort of wanted to shake Bryn as this man wasn´t for her. For anybody for that matter. But love is blind as they say. Well-written, funny in parts, with lots and lots of romantic drama!” Female reader, aged 39
“Bryn is the sort of character you can´t help but like. A romantic, easy to forgive – you know the sort. This is the story of the ups and considerable downs of trying to date Shane, who´s an NFL star. The author works hard to develop her central characters, throwing endless dilemmas in front of them to keep the reader engrossed. If you enjoy romance, you´ll enjoy this.” Female reader, aged 61

To Sum It Up:
‘A compelling romantic drama with a strong cast of characters. A FINALIST and highly recommended!’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards
