I've read many sales books of the years and I haven't yet read one on sales careers. The pillars of an Elite sales career is an instant classic to me.
Even for oldies like me there is a lot to gain from this book. I wish I had this book when I was starting out. No doubt I would have saved years of hard graft.
He started off with bravado, got to say I thought here we go another ego centric wolf of Wall Street style author. But I kept with it and I was pleasantly surprised. If you're familiar with the work Tim Ferris has done in Tribe of Mentors. This is similar but better as it is sales centric and with more depth to every interview.
An extremely well thought out book, with clear and actionable advice. You can tell the author is passionate about the subject which makes it an easy and enjoyable read. Has already had an impact on the way I approach my career! I would recommend to any salesperson, particularly those starting out.
