I'm Keima Masuda, a Dungeon Master aiming for a life without work. I finally got back home from the imperial capital, only to find a whole new town on the other side of the mountain! Apparently they're copying our town and they have their own inn. In other words, less customers and work for me! Heck yeah! Or so I thought, but... Why am I getting more customers? There's even someone with a suspicious-sounding "Artifical Dungeon"...
"You always see right through me, Keima... Perhaps this, too, is proof of our love."
The crazy High Priestess from that crazy Holy Kingdom is here too?!
This is Volume 12 of my own kind of dungeon story, where I show everyone the difference between a fake and the real thing!
A neighbouring noble gets a bit jealous of the profits Keima is raking in. He creates a new town at the other entrance of the tunnel with the intent of competing Gorren out of business, not believing all the rumours about Keima. Taking Gorren down is not easy though as the noble quickly learns.
The story is a fun continuation of the series. It does rely rather heavily on the trope of the stupidly greedy noble and Keima is purposely acting as a dense protagonist. At least there is no luck on Keima's side involved to deal with the plots. So not the best of the series, but still an entertaining read.
Count Lodol, lord of the Pavella sea-side town, decides to compete and make an underling of the Cave of Greed Dungeon, Keima and all they produce at Gorem Town. Alca the High Priestess, creates an Artificial Dungeon that goes haywire. This is not as good as Book 5 and Book 11, but not as bad as book 3, 6 or 9. Again, instead of growing the Cave of Greed, growing Gorem town, and improving their power and abilities, all of this book is to help out their neighbors to the sea...similar to Gorem town, the other side of the Tsia Tunnel had created Dragg town as trading hub for Tsia and Gorem towns.
