Rory Perez, a food truck owner who can't cook, is struggling to keep the business she inherited from her aunt out of the red--and an upcoming contest during Modest's annual food truck festival seems the best way to do it. The prize money could finally give her a solid financial footing and keep her cousin with special needs paid up at her beloved assisted living home. Then maybe Rory will have enough time to meet the man she's been talking to via an anonymous online dating site.

Jude Strong is tired of being a puppet at his manipulative father's law firm, and the food truck festival seems like the perfect opportunity to dive into his passion for cooking and finally call his life his own. But if he loses the contest, he's back at the law firm for good. Failure is not an option.

Complications arise when Rory's chef gets mono and she realizes she has to cook after all. Then Jude discovers that his stiffest competition is the same woman he's been falling for online the past month.

Will these unlikely chefs sacrifice it all for the sake of love? Or will there only ever be tacos for one?

This is lovely mash up of Sarah Smith’s Simmer Down and Emma Lord’s Tweet Cute: a lovely example of enemies to lovers troupe + characters who suffer from dysfunctional family issues with enjoyable banters between two cyber dating couple!

Pros: plot is interesting and characters are adorable! Enemies and lovers troupe is well executed!

I liked the plot about a food truck owner Rory who cannot cook and is stuck in that job she’s inherited, whose only way out is winning a competition to pay the expanses of business and provide her cousin a great place at assisted living home where her special needs will be fully taken care of.

And guess who is her biggest rival? The man she’s cyber dating, chatting online for a long time and the same man she’s keen on meeting in person! His name is Jude Strong but is he strong enough to change his life’s direction?

Did I tell you our hero is tormented by his evil family members ( he might have the worst kind of nightmarish father and brother who are acting puppet masters, pulling his strings to intervene his life) and winning this competition means he will be free of his strings that her mean family hold into their hands. But what if he has to make a choice between his love and his career dreams?

Supporting characters were also easy to resonate with ( Hannah, Grady,Nicole were my favorites )

Cons: in the beginning, Rory was a little agitated and annoying character, spiraling around her personal problems but eventually we observe how her character developed and how she learned to wear big girl pants, acting more rational.

Overall: it’s sweet, entertaining, smart story which wrapped up with a satisfying conclusion and earned my mouth watering taco Tuesday, what an enjoyable, easy to read romcom stars!

Special thanks to NetGalley and Revell for sharing this digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest thoughts.

Synopsis: In a modern retelling of You’ve Got Mail, Rory Perez and Jude Worthington butt heads over food trucks and cilantro, while ColorMeTurquoise and StrongerMan99 fall text-first in love. Their relationships are extremely messy and sparks are always flying, but you know what they say—all’s fair in love and food truck contests.

I had high hopes for my first official foray into the world of romantic comedy...and, unfortunately, they weren’t quite met.

Tacos for Two is a great book—technically speaking. It had a solid plot, no typos or errors, quality writing, smooth pacing (you’ll find that pacing means the world to me), and a happily-ever-after. If it had been marketed as a simple inspirational contemporary romance, it would’ve certainly fit the bill. However, I really didn’t catch on to the comedic aspect. I’m sure for You’ve Got Mail fans, there were plenty of references and similarities (most of which I caught, even though I’ve never seen the full movie) that would’ve had them chuckling under their breath. As for comedy that would bust a gut or please every reader? Not really. It was more of a comedy of errors...or just a funny idea that someone who can’t cook would run a food truck...than anything else.

I also think that, as far as romance goes, I enjoyed the banter between ColorMeTurquoise and StrongerMan99 far more than I did the interactions between Rory and Jude—even if all of StrongerMan99’s texts did seem a little unlike a guy to me. There was way too much conflict and doubt between Rory and Jude for it to have been resolved so quickly—especially considering how they further complicated things over and over again.

That said, at least we had a happy ending. I know it’s a guarantee in romances these days, but with the amount of drama in this book? I had my doubts, y’all. Plus the epilogue? You gotta love those!

On that note, though, once I reached the end, I realized a few things had never really been explored or answered. For example, we never actually learn to Thomas was, or how Grady came to work for Rory’s aunt Sophia, or exactly how different her childhood was. All of these things seemed to have shaped Rory in such a definite way, so I would’ve liked more than just a passing mention of them.

The most unsatisfactory aspect of Tacos for Two, for me, was the lack of a strong message. I feel like there was this outstanding potential for a story of forgiveness and loving your enemies...but despite a few casual comments, none of that was really put into action, if that makes sense. I didn’t walk away from this story with anything more than well, they could have… Not to mention that there was absolutely no Christian content whatsoever, and on top of that, drinking and alcoholism is portrayed in a very grey manner, so to speak.

As for the characters...I loved Grady and Hannah and Nicole—all three of them were dears. Mayor Whit and Madison, Jude’s father and brother...these characters all had strong personalities and interesting stories that entwined with Jude’s. But as for Jude and Rory themselves? W-e-l-l, about that.

For me, there was very little about Rory and Jude’s characters—both of them—that I could connect with or relate to, which made it difficult for me to put up with all their drama. Er, I mean, understand their thoughts and actions. There wasn’t much loveable about them either. Jude could be a bit arrogant, presuming, inconsiderate, and oblivious at times; while Rory was proud, impulsive, resentful, and easily offended. Now, I understand that characters can’t be perfect. *looks at her own* Yep. Definitely can’t be perfect. But that doesn’t mean that they can’t have some redeeming qualities, which, aside from some ambition and persistence, these two didn’t really have.

Let it be noted that I give Scarlett O’Hara prompts for being ambitious and persistent. That’s really not saying much.

So, all in all, did I enjoy the story? Yeah, I guess I did, because it was interesting. I mean, I finished it, didn’t I? That ought to count for something. Would I read it again? Nope. Would I recommend it? Well, depends. Like I said, You’ve Got Mail fans and readers of clean fiction would gobble this up. Me? Eh, it wasn’t my style. Maybe I’m not cut out for romantic comedy after all.

Disclaimer: A complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher, publicist, or author, including NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

PS: I expected better food descriptions. I mean, I love tacos, and this is a book all about tacos...and yet it did nothing for my southwestern cravings. The food descriptions just seemed so...flavorless. And, trust me, I've read some books that have made my mouth water. Not this one. *pouts*

DNF

Another DNF. I am so frustrated. Too many DNF this year.

Tacos for Two is You've Got Mail version of YA romance. What I do not like is Miss Amant does not focus on the romance. Where is the flirting, the tender moment, the cute and swoon moment? I need the romance to be front and center.

I waited and waited and waited and nothing happened on the romance. I feel so frustrated. Damn this book!

Tacos for Two by Betsy St. Amant was a fun read. This book started out really strong. I instantly started smiling when reading the chat messages between the two love interests. I loved the relationship they were building online together. I also liked that they decided to take it slow because a lot of online relationships go way too fast! Unfortunately, when the two interacted with one another in person I felt nothing. I could not feel the chemistry between them. It was there a little but nothing like in their instant messaging. Plus, when I did start to enjoy them being together in person something always ruined it. It happened so many times it really started to annoy me and take me out of the book. While I do love Rory and Jude’s characters, Rory upset me so much! I just wanted to scream at her to stop and try to communicate her feelings. However, I do understand communicating for some is hard. I just feel like her character never learned from her mistakes and because of that just kept making more that could have easily been avoided. The same could be said for Jude as well. He also wasn’t the best when it came to communicating and both characters acted childish throughout the story. I enjoyed this book because it made me feel so much! I love a book that makes me feel so close to the characters that I actually care about them and the decisions they make.

I did enjoy the food competition aspect of this book. I definitely wanted to eat tacos the whole time I was reading this! I liked that the competition helped both Jude and Rory find themselves and understand what it means to live a happy life for yourself. The side characters were interesting and definitely had their own personalities which.. The author did a great job of showing how important family is.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others. I would say this story is more about finding yourself than it is a romance book. While it does focus on Rory and Jude trying to start a relationship I think it focuses more on their wants/dreams which I loved. The writing was well done but the pacing could have been a bit better. Started strong then towards the middle felt a little long then at the end it picked back up.

Characters: Jude and Rory were both well-developed, flawed main characters. I liked that they both had their moments of being jerks to each other instead of having just one of them be a jerk.

Language: There was one cuss word with the first letter written out and the rest cut off. I hate it when I come across this in Christian books. It's not like my mind can't fill in the actual word.

Moral: Although this book was published by Revell (a Christian publisher) it didn't contain much Christian content. I've been coming across this too often in books, and it's disappointing :( But back to morals ... I'd say the main themes of this book were family and loving your enemies.

Plot: Apparently, this plot was inspired by a movie entitled You've Got Mail. I've never seen this movie, so some of the references went over my head. I'd say this plot was mostly character-driven. Jude and Rory's failure of a relationship was funny to read about and kept me flipping pages.

Random comments: A séance candle was mentioned (this was a joke). Jude liked to drink one beer a month.

Romance: Clean. Just a few kisses.

Writing: Betsy's writing style flowed really well and made for an enjoyable read.

Overall: Tacos for Two was an entertaining novel, and I'd recommend it to those who enjoy Christian fiction and contemporary romance.

Disclosure: I received this book free from the publisher/author. The opinions I have expressed are my own, and I was not required to write a positive review. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

This is a Romance/Chick-Lit. I love the storyline in this book, and the characters in this book is so great. I found this book to be cute, funny at times, and family drama. This book has a lot of food and will make you want to eat. I love a book that has good characters and has both romance and family drama which this book delivered on all that. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Revell) or author (Betsy St. Amant) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

A tasty treat of a romance! 😋
Rory and Jude are chatting anonymously online and then happen to enter the same food truck competition serving tacos and quesadillas 🌮
This was a fun romantic story! I loved the online chat convos between Rory and Jude. Their banter was perfect! I especially liked that the characters were both mature enough to apologize when they were in the wrong for assuming the worst about each other. Very refreshing.
I’m definitely going to check out more from this author!

Tacos for Two by Betsy St. Amant is a wonderful, contemporary romance that involves smiles, food trucks, and iconic references to one of my favorite movies ever, You’ve Got Mail. I loved it!

I loved this fresh, clean, diverse, and entertaining romance that had an excellent dialogue, well-seasoned cast of characters, and a great plot.

Rory Perez and Jude Strong are such great characters. They are likable, smart, feisty in their own rights, and played off one another quite well. They seemed to eventually bring out the best in one another. I loved the progression of their relationship, the few obstacles and miscommunications that were tossed their way, and I love how it all wrapped up.

And of course I loved how they referenced the iconic movie, You’ve Got Mail, sprinkled within the story. It was cute, fun, and I really enjoyed it.

4/5 stars

Thank you NG and Revell for this wonderful arc and in return I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review and opinion.

Tacos for Two had me with the witty text exchange.

The banter kept me hooked as Jude and Rory navigated every day life. Oh and let’s not forget that discussions were often centered around my favorite food—tacos!!

If you’re a You’ve Got Mail fan and a contemporary romance fan, then this book is for you. It’ll make you smile, make you laugh, cheer for a happily ever after, and close the book with a satisfied smile.

Well, that was utterly adorable. If you’re a fan of You’ve Got Mail, you’ll want to dive into this book. The texty banter exchanges were some of my favorite parts and I appreciated the inclusion of a character with Down syndrome. The heroine made me want to shake her at times with how she was constantly jumping to negative conclusions and it was probably a good thing Jude had gotten to know her online first or she might not have had a chance with him. An overall fun read.

My Thoughts:
One of my absolute favorite movies is You’ve Got Mail. I mean, what’s not to love? It’s a story featuring love letters, secret identity, and one of the best enemies to lovers plots ever created. So when Tacos for Two was introduced to me as a story inspired by my favorite movie, I was sold. And I was NOT disappointed.
Not only is there PLENTY of You’ve Got Mail vibes to excite any fan, but Amant managed to put her own spin on it. She shakes things up, veering from the movie plot, and making a beloved story even better.
I do want to point out the casual mentions of alcohol. As a dry Baptist, I find it off-putting for Christian characters to drink. That being said, the characters weren’t drunk. But back to the gushing …
The pair had great chemistry together! These two knew how to fight and how to fall in love.
The secondary characters were just as charming. Hannah was by far my favorite. It’s always refreshing to see characters “out of the norm” and Hannah, I believe, had Down Syndrome.
This really is a lighthearted read and one that I’ll likely read again.

Rating and Recommendations: I’m giving Tacos for Two 5 stars. I highly recommend it to those looking for Christian Contemporary Romance.

This was such an enjoyable clean romance. I had so much fun reading it. This has a lot of You've Got Mail vibes and references. :) I haven't watched that movie in a very long time, but enjoyed the references I remembered. This story follows 2 characters, Rory and Jude. Rory helps run her family's taco truck, Salsa Street, since the passing of her Aunt. She doesn't really like cooking but needs to help her family out. Then we have Jude, who loves Food Network and doesn't want to follow in his rich Father's footsteps in the family law firm. Jude would rather cook!

This starts off with Rory and Jude chatting back and forth on a dating app that is a "progression style" dating app. Meaning the app has suggested stages as your chats progress. So Rory and Jude have NO idea they are chatting with each other. I really enjoyed the "message style" pages the author did where we were reading their conversations. I think it was really well done.

Rory food truck is providing the lunch for Jude's Father's law firm so that's how they end up meeting. Jude LOVES the tacos from her truck and decides he wants to take cooking lessons from Rory because he wants to get into the food business.

However, there is an upcoming food competition that Rory and Jude both need to win for different reasons. The stakes are high for both of them to win this! Things get complicated REALLY soon.

ANDDDD everything takes off from here!

I loved this. Such a cute, clean romance story between two chefs who have no idea they are chatting with each other on a dating app. The ending was really great and the details surrounding the cooking, food trucks, competition and family dynamic were great.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because I wish we had more faith content. The only real faith content here is a couple of mentions of the bible and loving your enemies. I think there were some missed opportunities for faith elements but overall enjoyed the story and would highly recommend it.

DNF - 50%

Despite the gorgeous book cover, the appeal of food trucks, and the promising enemies-to-lovers/You've Got Mail premise, Tacos for Two just wasn't for me. Honestly, I didn't really connect with the main characters, and I struggled to like them.

To start, I didn't care for Jude using Rory by asking for cooking lessons and then going into direct competition with her. Not to mention, Jude had no accountability or awareness that what he did was wrong - and was completely oblivious to his contribution to the "drama" of his situation. It was also annoying how the book attempted to brush this situation under the rug without any apology. I also didn't like how Jude's inheritance factored in as one of his motivators. It just rubbed me the wrong way and made me lose some respect for him. As for Rory, I didn't like the miscommunication, jumping to conclusions, and the eagerness to insult on her part.

Ultimately, Rory and Jude's behavior placed them both in an unattractive light to me and the more story I read, the harder it was to maintain interest. All in all, this book wasn't for me.

My thoughts: this was a sweet romance, clean, without a strong faith message. There were some soft swear words used, and there was some drinking that might bother some readers. I liked Hannah the best of all the characters. She was a sweet girl. Otherwise it was a romantic comedy of sorts and the two main characters had a lot of issues to work through. If you like clean romance you might like tacos for two. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.

Tacos for Two was a fun and romantic story that definitely tied in aspects of You’ve Got Mail into the storyline. I loved that the two main characters, Jude and Rory, were both fans of the movie and began tucking favorite lines into their dating chats before they knew each other’s identities. The book has many aspects in common with the movie, making it especially fun for fans of the movie, like me. Yet the book is definitely its own creation, with a flavor all its own. I really enjoyed the food truck aspect of it all.

Poor Jude, who had such a controlling and conniving father that he had to take such drastic measures to try to get out from under his thumb. His father’s reach throughout the small town was frustrating, but I really enjoyed watching how everything eventually played out. I really liked the main characters, but the story was also peppered with wonderful side characters. And I loved the epilogue!

Warning - do not read this book if you don't want to be craving tacos the WHOLE time! :D

I really enjoyed this nod to You've Got Mail from St. Amant. Rory and Jude were such cute characters and I couldn't wait until they finally knew who the other was. I really enjoyed their messaging as well - that was probably my favorite part of the book. Come on, who doesn't love online flirting? (Side note: met my husband online so I get it!).

I also liked the other elements of the story including her cousin Hannah, Grady (he was hilarious), and her bff Nicole. The interplay between them online gave me all the feels, but then you've got a fun element of enemies to (eventually) lovers with them in person which was so fun!

It was a bit more difficult for me to love how stubborn Rory was with Jude in person - sometimes I felt like all she did was jumped to conclusions, but I understand that they were spurred on by the past. I also had a hard time with Judes family (as I'm sure anyone would haha) but the ending helped with that.

Overall, a cute story with a You've Got Mail troupe which is one of my faves! Great for those who like Christian romance.

My rating: 3.8*

I started really liking this book in the beginning. It was a modern day “You’ve Got Mail”. The online relationship between Rory & Jude was cute and I felt the chemistry between them. The in-person relationship between them, however lacked chemistry in my opinion.

Rory’s character is very immature and annoying. I get the she has a lot of emotional baggage from past relationships, but the author drove that to the extreme. Her constant doubt of Jude’s character and her hurtful words frustrated me so much. Like I said, I get that she had past issues that caused that, but the author almost made me dislike her lol. It was because of this that I couldn’t rate it any higher. I did admire her love for culture and family.

I loved Jude’s character. He was a kind, forgiving, considerate person, yet strong. He had a dysfunctional family and he broke away from them by leaving the family business and started his taco truck.

I love the Mexican traditions such as piñatas and the delicious food mentioned in the book especially the tacos.

There was another character that deserves mention and that is Rory’s cousin, Hannah. Hannah has special needs (I believe it’s Down syndrome). She has the biggest heart, sweetest spirit and wiser than most. When she’s mentioned in the book, it made me smile. She brought warm fuzzy feelings to the story.

Crunchy and tasteful with zingy delightfulness! (I couldn't resist a bit of taco food description--how could I when the book revolves around two dueling taco trucks??)

Rory and Jude certainly know the meaning of sparks because from the first moment they encounter each other on the page until the last, they are fast and furious in a love-hate relationship (or non relationship as the case may be). Each are determined and goal driven, anxious to salvage a precarious future.

The descriptions are yummy (quite literally with all that taco meat!), the romance playful and filled all the ups and downs. And the entire cast of characters entirely complimentary to the story.

My only warning: don't read while hungry.

BOOK REVIEW - TACOS FOR TWO - 5/5 STARS

One of the highlights of my year has been discovering and reading new-to-me authors and genres. Betsy St. Amant is another author I'm happy to add to my list of read.

THE STORY
I love reading books that surprise me! Tacos for Two was one of those books. The description made me think I was going to read a lighthearted rom-com but I was pleasantly surprised to read a much deeper book that touched on topics of self-worth, grief, and true character while still having it's lighter moments to contrast the heavier ones. The emotion was so well written into the story that I was feeling all the anger, fear and confusion along with Rory and Jude (also just loooove that name!) as well as the joy and happiness.

THE ROMANCE
In general I don't like enemies to lovers because most books are lots of anger and yelling over a simple misunderstanding that's easily cleared up. But I loved this story because I could see that there was genuine confusion, misunderstanding and hurt that was causing the anger and real forgiveness and apologies were needed to bring them together. The fun online banter between the two was just great and I definitely need to rewatch You've Got Mail! The best thing about enemies to lovers has got to be that explosive first kiss! Always so much heat and fireworks! *swoon*

THE TRUTHS
Where to start there were so many good ones to pull out. Loving your enemies was a good reminder for me (I'm a terrible grudge holder!). The reminder to look beyond the actions of a person to the person beneath and seeing that they're just a sinful broken person like me. Definitely something I need to live out better in my life.

"Within the hour, he would either kill her dream or she'd kill his."

What an absolutely delightful rom-com! This book totally needs to be made into a movie. Betsy St. Amant combines just the right amount of sass, snark, movie references, and tender vulnerability within a drama-filled food truck competition and sets it on simmer with sparks of romance and small town charm. I so needed this book as a pick-me-up after a long week!

There are truly hilarious moments that will make you cry from laughing so hard and there are truly touching and tender moments that will make you cry from feeling so much. Jude and Rory's on-line banter and flirting are too cute for words but their actual interactions before they know of each other's identity are.....stuff of great rom-com movies. Jude is a swoon-worthy hero and Rory is a feisty heroine who challenges and validates him. The secondary characters are also fantastic; I particularly loved Hannah, Rory's cousin, and Grady, Rory's food truck partner. Within the folds of wonderful humor and romance are lessons of seeing beyond the surface, following after 'soul joy', forgiveness and reconciliation.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic comedy. One of the most fun books of 2021!

Rory Perez owns and operates Modest's most famous Mexican Food Truck, but she can't cook. When a cooking contest comes along that could secure the future of her niece, she knows that she needs to win, but could a new online romance and a rival food truck foil her plans?

A charming rom-com, with You've Got Mail vibes updated for the modern day and plenty of delicious food, you just can't go wrong with this delightful small town romance. I loved the secondary characters just as much as the main characters, especially Hannah, Grady, and Nicole. I loved how the author pulled me into the community of Modest, with how well developed the non-main characters were.

Jude is a man with a passion for cooking and an identity beyond his powerhouse law firm family. His heart is in the right place, though his actions are often misinterpreted, I loved his genuineness and how he takes time to befriend Alton. There is a lot going on in this small town, and I loved that there were other things going on in the background.

Overall, a completely enjoyable read, feel-good, with great humor, a smile wasn't far from my lips whenever I was reading this book. I love, love, loved the characters, and fun food filled plot. Definitely perfect for fans of rom-coms and tacos!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book is so much fun! But, before you start reading, make sure you have all the ingredients for tacos stocked in your kitchen because, if you're like me, you will end up craving them more than once before you finish! And, if you like Oreos, you might want to have a package of those nearby, too. Just in case. Betsy St. Amant's endearing cast of characters serve up heaps of hilarious situations paired with plenty of soul searching while navigating life's complexities found in family and love.
Tacos for Two is a delightful romantic comedy that will warm your heart and fill your soul - and your taco shells.

There are few authors I can think of who write with the personality and joy Betsy does. The adorable You've Got Mail trope here is well met with the unique food truck setting making me wish Toronto had better tacos. A sweet love story capably handled by a writer whose pen knows her way around rom com as much as her heart does.

Who doesn't love tacos?? Who doesn't love food trucks??
Let's taco 'bout this book then, shall we? (Hands out tacos with extra cilantro for those who like that sort of thing... -->Jude.)

This book was super contemporary which was a fun change from my typical genre. We're talkin' even text bubbles and emojis. About halfway through the book, I had to watch You've Got Mail because I wanted to catch all the references! And I'm glad I did, because the parallels between book and movie are epic. So I'm glad I got in the loop enough to know what they were talking about.

The characters.

Rory Perez was a great main character with lots of faults but also a lot of family loyalty and a fountain of ever-changing emotions. I didn't relate with her much besides her obsession with aesthetic Pinterest boards. Her relationship with Jude was interesting, and I'm kinda surprised she didn't figure it out sooner.

Jude Strong rubbed me the wrong way on multiple occasions yet when I saw them interact on the dating site, they made a good couple. I loved reading through their banter and inside jokes (and who knew emoji sketches could be so cute!)

The side characters didn't have much going on and only supplemented the main characters. (Grady was funny though!) I always like it when the other characters get some storylines as well. I wish the ending would have been slightly different with a certain main characters' father...

The Setting.

Small towns are my favorite! I love the food truck competition and the family themes. The pace of this book was slower and there was less of a plot to follow. However, there was some nice themes about not placing our worth in what other people think of us and also that more money doesn't always mean happier lives.

Concluding thoughts.

Overall, it was a cute story with unique characters trying to find where they fit in the world. If you liked You've Got Mail, then you'd like this book! For me, it was slightly "meh" but the text bubbles, emoji's, and colorfully designed cover made it a fun & light contemporary romance! I'd recommend this book if you like a touch of family drama, small towns, and TACOS!

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Tacos for Two was a really cute romcom to jump into. From the very beginning, I liked getting to know Rory and Jude. Especially when food was involved. Ever since they started talking to a certain someone online, I quickly figured out how things were going to go down once the drama started. I just patiently waited for the puzzles pieces to fall into place so that these two could figure it out for themselves.

These two definitely have their ups and downs. I enjoyed the bantering and all the bonding that happened between them. I was also pretty intrigued by the food festival competition, but it was pretty easy to spot who would lose. Even with things being a bit predictable, I still devoured each and every page that came my way.

In the end, the epilogue was freaking adorable. It definitely made me happy and I'm glad that I got the chance to jump into this beautiful book. Now I just really need a taco or two.

This book made me want a taco so badly! There are so many descriptions of cooking that my mouth was watering and I wish I could try Rory's truck for real. (As long as Grady is cooking lol) The story is fun, with some romance, a competition, and a secret or two. I'm always up for some food fiction and this definitely has plenty of yummy dishes.

I thought the competition would be the main part of the story, but it actually ended earlier than I thought and had more plot about sabotage and scheming, which I enjoyed. I did want more romance and wasn't prepared for Rory and Jude to have such a slow burn. There were some funny moments between them and I appreciated how Jude handled Rory's grumpiness and didn't give up on her when she distanced herself.

Cute book and an easy read. Be prepared to be hungry while reading!

The concept of Tacos for two intrigued me from the beginning. This story didn't disappoint me as I am a huge fan of foodie romances. It was great to read about Rory, the owner of a food truck, and Jade, who studies law. He works for his father and dreams of opening his own food truck. { How ironic is that?} The enemies to lovers trope had me hooked. It was an enjoyable plot. There were many surprises and twists to the story. There are flaws in Rory and Jade's relationship, but both of them shined in the end.

Thank you Revell and Netgalley for the ARC of this book. This was a honest review.
