This is the first book that I have read by Olivia Sinclair and I could not put it down. This is also the first book in the new ACI Unleashed series.
Mia is sweet, beautiful, shy, and she has crush on Alexei, who works in her office but is a man of mystery. When Mia gets a job offer that means moving across the country, she accepts thinking she has no chance with Alexei so why stay put.
Several months later, Mia is in Hawaii as part of the war games she has been planning with her friend/boss, Sarah. Once she is at her assigned area, she gets caught in a rainstorm and seeks shelter in a nearby hut. That happens to be where Alexei has been assigned for border patrol. Alexei’s alpha side comes out and takes control. Mia is a little stunned, as this is not the sweet, caring, mild man she knew from the office. But not everything is smooth sailing…
I enjoyed how Alexei knew what he wanted and went for it when he found Mia again and he takes good care of her. Then Mia is the strong one, taking care of Alexei after their run in with bad guys. Alexei may be an alpha but he does let Mia decide where they should live.

Mia works in a office alongside Alexei. Over time she has developed feelings for him but he doesn't seem to feel the same way. To save herself further heartbreak, she accepts another job across the country. Little does she know Alexei has some business to take of and then he plans to take care of her forever. Will Mia still be available when he tracks her down? Will his previous military activities endanger Mia? This is a very enjoyable story told with humor, heat and adventure. I like the dual POV, likable characters, Alexei's planning and interrogation techniques, engaging plot, suspense, Mia's skills and satisfying epilogues. Very entertaining! 5 stars

Alexei let Mia slip away once... but he has vowed to find her and show that they are meant for eachother. Mia thought she was moving on with her life.. but when fate throws Alexei in her path again, she realizes that she didn´t really need to get away at all. I loved Alexei`s intensity... how his passion for her ran scorching hot. He is beyond possessive and jelous, but in the most delicious way possible. As much as I love a good alpha (such as Alexei), I love a strong heroine so much more... and Mia was so much stronger than I had given her credit for at first! She is strong, fierce, and no damsel in distress. This was a great book with plenty of scorching heat and so much drama and adventure to keep you on the edge of your seat!

This is book one in The ACI Unleashed Series and it is Mia and Alexei's story and wow what a great start to a new series and it is a must read. Mia has left her job in Sarasota and moved to Washington State at the Sala Bay Office where her friend Sarah worked it Mia was sad to leave Alexei behind as he was kind, caring and she had feelings for him that she knew that it wouldn't go anywhere as he has never showed a interest in her that way. Alexei couldn't believe that Mia had left and not said goodbye and he didn't get to tell her how he felt about her but now he was going to find her and make her see that she means everything to him and he wants a future with her. They meet again in Hawaii on a works training exercise but things don't go according to plan as danger is just around the corner as Alexei is in the secret special forces of the military and he is there for a reason but hopefully he can convince Mia to take a chance on them. Mia and Alexei have such a strong connection and chemistry and it is so hot that you can feel it sizzling of the pages of the book and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next between them. This is the first book that I have read by Olivia Sinclair but definitely not the last as it was so well written and definitely worth reading.

This book was amazing! AMAZING! The prologue had me in tears; the rest of the story made up for those tears. The romance between Alexei and Mia was story enough, but then... BUT THEN! Eek! You have to read it to find out. And you will love it! My favorite quote: I mentally record a new resolve to eat better because damn if I'm going to die and leave her on her own. (heart eyes) I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

A fun/enjoyable read. Mia and Alexei kinda work together. Mia has a secret crush on Alexei. She ends up getting a job offer and is undecided on taking it. When her feelings aren’t recognized she accepts the offer and leaves Alexei behind. Later on down the road they end up crossing paths again and Alexei doesn’t want to let her go. He hopes to get a second chance. Story is suspenseful and entertaining.

Timing is everything! Both Alexei and Mia both like each other but nothing had been said. Unforeseen circumstances means that Mia moves on with her life without saying another to Alexei, without knowing he liked her. Of course, Fate would not be unkind as to not give them a second chance at love, Alexei is just gorgeous. Alpha, protective, vulnerable and yet so strong and Mia is one sassy, independent women with hidden skills. A good read - can't wait for the next in the new series.

If you enjoy short steaming instalove stories with plenty of alphasness, a bit of humor and a HEA, this is definitely a book for you. Olivia Sinclair doesn't disappoint, she delivers exactly as expected. Alexei and Mia's story is happening in the ACI world, previously developed in the Men of A Corps Series (that you should definitely read if you haven't already). I highly recommend it!

I enjoy the fun unreality of Olivia Sinclair’s writing. It’s pure erotic escapism and it’s great. This story is the beginning of a new spin off series and it was a great introduction. Many characters were introduced and the setting was planted. The lead characters, Alexei and Mia, were well developed and their interactions were fun and engaging. I liked that Mia wasn’t just some wallflower going along with Alexei, but a key part of the action as well.
The story was dual POV, well written, and a fun erotic read. I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.

I started off liking it.
I started off liking this . Liking it a lot, but it started to lose me not long into chapter three ( btw I did make it to 21% and into chapter four) when our heroine Mia is basically brow beaten into going off foe two weeks in Hawaii that’s framed as or called “team building” at first. It’s compared to camping . Why you go from Oregon to Hawaii just to camp ⛺️ didn’t make sense but what it turned out to be made even less sense.
Mia who works in supplies ,mainly in suppling seals ( real ones,fur,fins and flippers ) with fish 🐟 ,happy lil introvert ,is suddenly in a jungle like area in Hawaii.
Why ?
To be a apart of some lame “War games” ,where she’s to run around in a long sleeved black wrap around dress and hiking boots and pretend to be a “spy”.
Seriously? A young introverted woman who spends her days mainly resourcing fish for seals 🦭and making sure it gets to them, NEEDS to be out running around a jungle playing pretend spy ?
That made NO sense at all and maybe is sufficiently explain later but what happens when she sees Alexei again turned me off.
Now this isn’t so much a review against the book as it is personal preference.
It starts to rain,she comes across Alexei while seeking shelter.
“Frowning, I stare down at my hands spread across the god-awful orange of his shirt. It clashes hideously with my pink underwear. I giggle, and Alexei quirks an eyebrow at me. “We’re quite the fashionable pair,” I whisper. “You’re beautiful, kitten.” His hands clench into the flesh of my thighs with authority. Like he’s going to punish me if I disagree with him. Where did that thought come from? And why did it send a wave of wetness into my panties?”
And I’m like O s hit ,a young women melting at the nonsensical authority in a guys voice.
I say nonsensical because why on earth should he sound upset here ? Her dress was soaked from the rain and she’s sitting on his lap because the only bit of furniture in his lil hut on the border of the games is a rickety lil cot fie him to sleep on.
These two feel clumsy and awkward and that makes sense as they are starting cross lines they hadn’t before .
But it just felt off fie me personally. Alexei has never for a single let her know he thinks of her romantically,at all! At. All.
And yet he plans once he gets her his bed ( and he will! According to his thoughts .) to never let her out again. To “claim” her like she’s a “fated mate” in a shifter or vampire book. She goes from a smart ,funny ,young woman to just another woman wanting to pitch her panties because a guy has and authoritative voice and a faux manner.
This isn’t “hot” to me . It just screams young woman who has experienced little of life and will hopefully look back at this one day laugh at just how deep naive she was and easily impressed she was.
Maybe it’s a good story in the end but not to me . DNF.

Finally found each other💘💘
I love this story! It was engaging, emotional, action packed and beautiful. I have not have the pleasure of reading from Olivia before this book. Mia is the baddest woman! She is intelligent, sweet, beautiful and shy. She is crushing on her co-worker hard. She is in a bind and something snapped and she took the plunge. She is shocked when she hears his voice again. Alexei is an alpha male. He is older, protective, smart, and really good looking. He is dealing with some things but can't stop thinking about Mia. He is ready to forget about his crush when she just showed up unexpectedly. Now there is no way he is going to let this opportunity slip. Their journey is full of love and action that I did not see coming which is really good. It made the story even better. The writing was done beautifully and flows throughout the book. Amazing work Olivia Sinclair!

I LOVED this story. I liked getting Mia's POV first and getting how she feels about Alexei but then loved getting Alexei's POV and seeing how much he was obsessed with her. I was surprised at how often this story make me laugh as well. While we mostly get suspense and action due to Alexei's job, there were plenty of scenes that were downright funny as Mia got into situations that were comical. I also appreciated how Alexei was supposed to be the big bad military guy but we got to see how strong Mia was in rescuing them. And while I know Hawaii has it's own heat, these two were fire together. Alexei has some serious game in the dirty talk department. Highly recommend this one if you like action and suspense romance with plenty of heat involved.

It is a humorous and touching romance that features Alexei and Mia. Mia felt that her attraction and chemistry with him was not returned. Enough so that she gave up and tried to move on. She had no idea what he had in store and why he kept things hidden. His background is going to bring trouble on top of convincing her how they belong together. These two fit like puzzle pieces once everything was laid out on the table. I liked the storyline and the characters

This is the 1st book I have read from this author. It won't be the last book I read from Ms. Sinclair either. I read this in one sitting. I thought this was going to be a cute little fluff book and was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't.

This book has everything you would want in a suspense romance. You have adventure, action, heat, humor, possessive alpha male, passion and steam. This was a fast paced story that I read in one sitting. The characters were fantastic and had such a connection to each other. I loved Mia as she was a strong woman that totally surprised some bad guys. Alexei was very alpha male, very possessive and obsessive with Mia. These two complemented each other. Mia has liked Alexei from the beginning but he seems indifferent to her, so when she gets a job offer she takes it. So when six months later her best friend convinces her to take part in military games in Hawaii, the last person she expects to find is Alexei. From the moment they meet up, it is clear that Alexei wants Mia and plans to have her. Then his previous life interfers with their plans and it is up to Mia to save them and then find ways to stay with Alexei. This is a fun and entertaining story full of heat. It is also a quick read.

Such a fun read!!! The pace of the story kept me totally engrossed and on the edge wanting to find out what came next! My favorite kind of book! Plus, who doesn’t love a hot alpha hero? Alexei was all that and more!!! Let’s not forget Mia, who’s character was one I could really relate to! Awesome read! Highly recommended!
