Snowball, that lovable bundle of feline fluff readers first met as a kitten in Snowball’s Christmas, is all grown up. And now that she has her forever home at a cozy B&B, she’s determined to orchestrate a forever love match, just in time for the holidays...
Snowball takes her job as the “official kitty” at the Victorian B&B Inn, Weber Haus, very seriously. Greeting guests and keeping tabs on them is a full-time feline job, after all. However, being nice to Daniel Aarons is not on her to-do list. The handsome construction manager almost messed up her forever family, and she isn’t about to forgive him anytime soon...
But then someone new arrives at Weber Haus. Her name is Sophie Heidt — and she’s the B&B’s new manager. When Snowball goes missing on Sophie’s first day, Daniel, in charge of the new hotel wing, comes to her rescue by getting the cat to do what she does best: attack him.
It doesn’t take long for Snowball’s animal instincts to reveal that Daniel and Sophie are meant to be together. Unfortunately, Daniel keeps making a mess of things. It’s going to take some special insight and holiday cheer to bring them together. But if anyone can do it, Snowball can — even if she has to tolerate turtle doves, French hens, calling birds, and other fur-raising human traditions...
Romance author Kristen McKanagh writes sweet contemporary romance & Amish romance. She loves plots that warm the soul, feisty heroines with sass, heroes with heart, a dash of snark, and oodles of HEAs! Other titles include wife, mother, Star Wars geek, ex-competitive skydiver, spreadsheet lover, eMBA, organizational guru, Texan, Aggie, and chocoholic.
Kristen attempted to find a practical career related to her favorite pastime by earning a degree in English Rhetoric (Technical Writing) and an MBA. However, she swiftly discovered that writing without imagination is not nearly as fun as writing with it.
Kristen currently resides in Austin, Texas, with her own swoon-worthy hero, their amazing kids, who are growing up way too fast, and 2 adorable fur babies.
The Twelve Days of Snowball by Kristen McKanagh is the second book in the contemporary romance Snowball series. Each of the books in this series take place in the days leading up to Christmas and feature different main characters so they can be read as a standalone. The characters from the first book do make a slight appearance in the second though for those having read both.
The somewhat unique thing with the Snowball contemporary romance series is that not only do you get the point of view of the two main characters but also that of the tiny fluffball herself, Snowball the kitten. Snowball belongs to Miss Tilly who runs the B&B in which the stories are set and Snowball is quite the matchmaker around the B&B. This time around Sophie Heidt has been hired to be the new manager of the B&B and she and Daniel Aarons are left to run the B&B together when a family emergency calls Miss Tilly away.
So I mentioned in my review of the first book how thankful I was that since I was suckered into picking it up with the adorable kitten on the cover that I was so happy the story was a good one that I enjoyed and I feel the same the second time around. The characters were nice yet again but it’s so cute to have snowball included and follow her antics and her thoughts. It’s certainly still a sweet series that matches the adorable covers and I loved how this one incorporated the twelve days to match the title too!
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
This is a heartwarming and fun series and this is the second book featuring that cute lovable Snowball the cat. Snowball helps orchestrate a Christmas match up between Sophie Heidt- the B&B’s new manager and the contractor, Daniel . It's not all easy going as there are some funny moments involving the mischievous cat along the way. Like many cats she doesn't like birds but to get this couple together she just may put up with a few feathered friends now if only Daniel wouldn't bumble things along the way. Fun read.
Pub Date 28 Sep 2021 I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
The Twelve Days of Snowball by Kristen McKanagh is the second book in the Snowball series by Kristen McKanagh. This adorable holiday-themed book put me in the mood for the holidays. The star of the book is an adorable fluffy cat named snowball and how she helps the humans in her life find love.
Snowball is the official cat of the Weber House Bed and Breakfast Inn and is also the official matchmaker of the inn! When Sophie Heidt arrives at the inn as the new manager, Snowball, welcomes her by escaping into the yard, climbs a tree, and eventually has to be rescued by Daniel, the hot construction manager for the new wing of the Inn.
Eventually, Snowball realizes the Sophie and Daniel are meant to be together and she works to get them together. Sophie and Daniel don’t care for each other at first, so Snowball has her work cut out for her.
Like Snowball, The Twelve Days of Snowball is light, fluffy, and adorable. It’s a quick read that flows predictably through the holiday season as Daniel and Sophie move from enemies to love.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a cheerful holiday book.

Maybe it’s the time of year, but a story set at a Victorian bed and breakfast during Christmas is hard to resist. Now add in a cute but nosy kitty, and you have the perfect blend of mischief and romance.
Snowball is the official kitty of Weber Haus, a beautiful Victorian B&B near the mountainous town of Braunfels. Some new things are happening at the Weber Haus that has Snowball’s tail twitching. Sophie Heidt, the new manager, has just started, and Snowball decides to give Sophie a hard time by escaping, only to be captured by Daniel. Daniel Aarons is doing construction on the new wing, but Snowball has a grudge against him, for now.
Forced to work together at the B&B, Sophie and Daniel seem to clash at every meeting. But perceptive Snowball begins to see that Sophie and Daniel may be a perfect match. Now how can she help these two stubborn humans see that they belong together?
The Twelve Days of Snowball sets a festive holiday mood, with the tension of enemies to lovers and the fun of a matchmaking feline. I love that we get to hear Snowball’s POV; it’s not every day you hear what a cat is thinking. As for the romance, it’s sweet (no steam here) but perfect to welcome the holiday season.

The Twelve Days of Snowball is the 2nd book featuring Kristen McKanagh's cat Snowball.
Snowball lives at the Victorian B&B Inn, Weber Haus. Sophie Heidt is the new manager there and when Snowball vanishes on Sophie's first day Daniel, who is responsible for on-site construction goes to look for the matchmaking kitty. Snowball believes that Daniel and Sophie should be together, but do Daniel and Sophie feel the same?
I adored this hearty Christmas romance with its twelve Days of Christmas references which gave me festive feels. The characters of both Daniel and Sophie have been well crafted and it was amusing to read about all of Snowball's shenanigans. A great little heartwarming Christmassy story that I recommend.
I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Kensington via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.
Snowball is a hilarious terror of a cat who dislikes intruders in her B&B and definitely understands human. The book opens from her POV, though it is mostly told in third person about the humans. Sophie is the new manager of the B&B where Snowball lives, and Daniel is the construction manager. When they have to work together to get the B&B ready for Christmas, Snowball decides to do some matchmaking.
I had assumed the title was just a cute nod to the holiday season. But the song is actually worked into the story in the cutest way. I really enjoyed reading about Sophie, Daniel, and Snowball. This is such a sweet holiday romance.
Thank you to Let's Talk Books and Kensington for the book. These opinions are my own.
I was so excited when I got the arc for this one! I was so happy to have more fluffy white kitty fun as Snowball sure loves to play match maker and she sure did with Daniel and Sophie! Another cute, fluffy, holiday romance that everyone should pick up this holiday season!
(TWs/CWs at the end of review) Once again writing another late review. I apologize for any errors. Let me start by saying that this book isn't bad. I liked it but didn't love it.
I first thought I'd be reading from the POV of Snowball but that's not the case. The book has 3 POVs: Snowball's, Sophie's and Daniel's. Sometimes I didn't know when POVs switched mid chapter because there wasn't much of a separator between. It was normally a single gap that separated POVs. This is probably just a me problem though.
The story takes place in a hotel during the days up to Christmas. The story was boring sometimes but never boring enough to where I wanted to stop reading.
Daniel wasn't very likable at first but as I learned more about him, he became less unlikable. He was very annoying and kept forcing his help on Sophie even when she didn't want it. I understand wanting to help but she's literally a professional. She knows what she's doing. Daniel is a good person though. He means well but goes about it the wrong way. He's a bit too controlling at times. But not in a mean way.
Sophie was pretty boring as a character sometimes. I was tired of her not sticking up for herself and just letting things happen.(Same for Daniel)I understand being polite but she basically let people treat her any way they wanted to. Most of the time she was working or complaining about her old job and ex. Some things she's said to Daniel also bothered me. She constantly says things she definitely shouldn't to people. She wasn't a bad character she was just boring. A little bit controlling herself too. She also kept letting people pile up work for her and just dealt with it.
Now that I think about it,Daniel and Sophie are definitely meant for each other. They had lots of cute moments together. Their communication skills weren't exactly flawless but they worked on it and are very aware of their communication issues. I wish they both would have stopped letting Giselle step all over them. From making Daniel uncomfortable by flirting with him and literally kissing him without his permission to being rude to Sophie. Giselle eventually got the memo and stopped bothering them. Jannik is also bad. He wasn't in the story much but what little he was showed his intentions early on.
Snowball is adorable but also does things she shouldn't. She's a cat with a taste for mischief. Her POVs where shorter than everyone else's.
I liked most of the side characters. Mr.Muir especially. The chaos he brought to the hotel was much needed! I also liked Levi as a character. I also want to know a bit more about Peter to be honest. Some characters were completely forgotten though. Every time they showed up I was confused as to who these people were. Clara was a good example of this. I actually thought she was married to Jannik or something.😅Her husbands name is actually Jason.
I have no specific attachments to any of the characters from the first book because I haven't read that one. They are mentioned often but this story can be read alone. Daniel caused some kinda trouble in the first book according to Snowball so if you want to know more about that you probably should read the first book. This can be read as a standalone though.
I never found out who damaged Daniel's construction site. I assume it was Jannik but it was never confirmed.
I recommend checking this book out if it interests you in any way. This was just my opinion and as I said others loved it. It just wasn't for me. I'm definitely gonna read the other books in the series when I get the chance though.
TWS/CWS: Sibling Loss(in the past)
Mentions of Cancer(related to sibling loss)
Emily mentions her brother being hospitalized with a coma.
Daniel mentions someone driving skidding on a patch of ice and taking out a transformer.
Pages 204-210 as a whole.(I won't be listing every single thing that happens between each page.)Snowball escapes and runs to the construction site which is dangerous because saws and etc. Daniel says something at the beginning of page 204 about what could happen and it's a little too graphic to write here. Daniel also ends up getting hurt and everything gets pretty intense and graphic from there. Too graphic to write here. Things start to slow down around page 210. These pages were pretty shocking though. Especially when you don't expect them.

A romantic Christmas inn, two stubborn yet misunderstood enemies, one precocious yet fluffily adorable kitten, and a partridge in a pear treeee!!
They say not to judge a book by its cover, but all it takes is one glimpse into those adorably solemn blue eyes surrounded by fluffy white fur, and I'm officially a goner. To be quite frank, if you can manage to read this book from start to finish without cracking one smile, you might just be a legitimate Grinch. This sweet, cute read will definitely put you in the holiday mood, and is the perfect read when you need a quick break from family mayhem throughout the season. There are remnants from the first book which are a delight to see again, including a portion of each chapter told from the point of view of the official troublemaking matchmaker of Weber Haus, Snowball the kitten. We get just a taste of her POV so that it remains fun and silly without venturing into eye-roll territory. Honestly, it was kind of my favorite part of each chapter when we got to see things through the eyes of such an innocent little heathen.
The other calling card of this series includes a picturesque wintery inn that we can clearly envisage in our mind's eye, filled to bursting with the most lovable characters that are sweeter than a cup of hot chocolate. While the characters from book one remain absent for the vast majority of this read, and it was certainly easy to miss them, this absence does allow for our new primary characters of Sophie and Daniel to be featured front and center in their own right. Albeit with a familiar fluffy face to pop in every now and again to wreak havoc, yet also help these two strong personalities put their differences aside to find love during the holidays.
Sophie and Daniel start things off by butting heads and essentially hating each other. Daniel is the head of a construction crew working on-site to add a new wing to this lovely small town inn, whose delays in finishing threaten to derail the bookings that Sophie is trying so hard to secure. As for Sophie, she's our strong-willed manager who likes to keep to a schedule, and her constant questioning of Daniel's timeline is enough to drive him mad. So we have two stubborn personalities who seemingly can't stand to be around each other, and insist on doing everything themselves with no help from anyone. When the inn's owners are called away to deal with a family emergency, basically leaving Sophie and Daniel to handle everything on their own, it creates the perfect environment where they can't help but be thrown together at every turn.
I've got just one word for when you're dealing with two people who can't stand each other being forced to interact in fairly close quarters: excellent! This is the perfect example of enemies-to-lovers when it comes to Sophie and Daniel, yet we also see instances of enemies-to-friends when it comes to some of the other characters involved. Witnessing all of these distinct personalities open up and start to understand each other was pure holiday magic. From Snowball the kitten finally warming up to Daniel following her obvious disdain for him due to the events in book one, to a curmudgeonly old loner guest of the inn who opens up to share a few words of wisdom with Daniel when Sophie's past comes back to threaten their relationship. There's enough holiday cheer to make even the smallest of Grinch hearts grow ten sizes in delight!
There's not much else to say about this light-hearted read other than it's as sweet as a sugar plum, doesn't have too much drama, it's quick and will leave a smile on your face! I actually found myself more intrigued by the fun and silly moments than the few dramatic ones. Upon first starting this book I didn't even fully register the title of The Twelve Days of Snowball, but when we start to see all of the elements from The Twelve Days of Christmas song start to make an appearance as Sophie and Daniel's relationship evolves, I was positively tickled pink! It was such a festive feature of the read, as you were constantly wondering how five gold rings or a plethora of milking maids would show up. This is definitely a fun read for when you're looking to relax and be entertained throughout the holiday season.
How can you expect me to pass up on a book with such an adorable cover? There's a reason my dad calls me the crazy cat person, and this book just proved his point.
I did read the first book before starting this one, but I think it's safe to read them as standalones as well. This is the perfect holiday-season romance. It was quick, entertaining, and had just enough of Snowball to avoid being a cringey Christmas romance.
I love that we get to see things through Snowball's perspective throughout the book as well. I've never seen this done before, so it was fresh and very adorable! I was worried it would end up being sort of ridiculous, but I think the author spaced her perspective out enough to avoid that (hence my comment about cringey Christmas romances).
Disclaimer: I received a finished copy of this book via Let's Talk Books Promo and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Aptly named, Snowball is a white fluffy ball of joy! It’s a good thing she’s so cute because she is such a troublemaker! I loved her matchmaking antics, and the parts of the story from Snowball’s POV were just too cute. The Twelve Days of Christmas elements were a fun touch, and I couldn’t help but smile while reading this delightful story. It was a quick, adorable, feel good holiday read with my favorite enemies to lovers trope that leads to a super sweet romance. The Twelve Days of Snowball is a lovely escapist book, and it will definitely put you in a cheery holiday mood!
*I received a gifted copy of The Twelve Days of Snowball from Kristen McKanagh, Kensington Books, and Let’s Talk Book Promo in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
Oh Daniel and Snowball...how I ship thee. Move over Darcy and Elizabeth. Move over Barney and Valency. Move over Ponyboy and Cherry. There's a new dynamic duo in town. A construction company owner and a little white kitty!
I love their scenes! Adorable! I was literally laughing, smiling obnoxiously and or welling up. I swear the author is part feline to write Snowball's POV so well.
I loved this book!! Snowball the matchmaker is at it again. This book is well written and will put you in the Christmas spirit. It's a clean fun read that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I loved everything about this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Kensington Books via NetGalley and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Very delightful read! Snowball gets around and really enjoys getting people together, this cat seems to know which humans belong together. I hope this author continues writing more books about Snowball!
A cute Christmas story partly told from the point of view of a cat named Snowball. This fluffy white cat strongly dislikes Daniel Aarons until she realizes that he is perfect for the new hotel manager at Weber Haus, Sophie. Then she sets out to do everything she can to get the two together. This was a funny holiday story that definitely put me in the mood for Christmas and made me want to check into a B and B in a small wintery town!
I read the first book in this series, Snowball’s Christmas, and absolutely fell in love with Snowball, a mischievous cat who has a knack of pairing up couples. So, I was excited that Snowball’s story would be continued. This time, Snowball has her eyes set on Sophie, the new manager at Weber Haus, the Victorian inn where Snowball lives.
Snowball hated, Daniel, who is in charge of the expansion at the inn. She would attack Daniel every chance she got. But when Snowball notices Sophie might be attracted to Daniel, she sets out to help them fall in love. Snowball knows how to make people happy.
This was such a fun and heartwarming story. I liked seeing all the shenanigans Snowball would get in while trying to pair up Sophie and Daniel. I especially loved how the writer incorporated the Twelve Days of Christmas into the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves cats and is looking for a feel-good Christmas story.
This is a second book about Snowball, and I did not read the first one. However, the author gave enough background that I knew what had happened. This book is a sweet, easy book to read; good if you have been reading more "heavy" or serious books and need a break.
Told mostly from a third-person POV, Snowball also tells parts of the story. For the reader, I would like to have seen the sections when Snowball was telling the story printed in italic font. Sometimes when it would change from third-person to Snowball, it caused pause. This could be a slight problem for me because I tend to read quite fast.
The story from Books 1 was that Snowball had decided she wanted Emily and Lukas to be together and had been truly mean to Daniel whom she felt was interferring. New inn manager Sophie found Snowball up a tree and Daniel offers to help even though he knows he is going to be hurt by Snowball. It takes a while along with some real honesty from Sophie and Daniel, Snowball realizes she must stop being mean to Daniel and do what she can to being Sophie and Daniel together.
This is a story which you know will end with a "happily-ever-after," As you get to that point, you find yourself thinking that people can be so stupid when either trying to get in a relationship or trying to deny there is a relationship. As often as this happens in books, it must be what people do. Do we fear giving ourselves a happy ending? Are we fearful of giving up dreams for love? All part of The Twelve Days of Snowball. And yes, of course, The Twelve Days of Christmas does come into play throughout the book.
From a teacher's POV, this book could be recommended to upper middle school to high school level readers, but not part of a curriculum, as it is a sweet, clean romance.
This book is the second in the series, but it works fine as a standalone after skimming the first book. The story is told from both Sophie and Daniel's point-of-views, but we also hear from Snowball. Initially, Snowball was not a fan of Daniel but warms up to him and sees how he'd be a perfect match for Sophie.
I love reading warm-hearted series that invite you back to visit with the same familiar characters year after year, and this sweet, charming romance set in a Hallmark-like Christmas town is off to a promising start.
The song, The Twelve Days of Christmas, is loosely woven into the story, and it's fun to see how each of the gifts appears.
A perfect book for someone who wants to take a break from heavier books or the busy holiday season and put her feet up to escape for a few hours into a book that is as cozy as a fleece blanket
Thank you @kristenmckanagh @letstalkbookspromo @kensingtonbooks for the adorable copy of this book and for including me on this tour. Opinions are mine.
I loved that this story is told from Snowball’s perspective! After all, mischievous Snowball knows what’s going on! The Weber Haus bed and breakfast has hired Sophie as their new innkeeper, and the owners are called out of town on a family emergency. The December 31 construction deadline on the inn’s expansion project is near, and Sophie is also coordinating arrangements for the first ever Christmas Market to be held on the grounds. Snowball sure has her work cut out for her if she’s going to help Sophie. The Twelve Days of Snowball is a humorous and lovable story all wrapped up in Christmas charm! I look forward to more Snowball adventures!
It's time for Christmas books, and Snowball is a fun way to start. This little kitten discovered her matchmaking superpower in the first book, and she is ready to exercise it to the fullest this time -- even if that means cooperating with her least favorite human, Daniel. Snowball's relationship with Daniel is one of the funniest and sweetest parts of the book, and it helps Sophie see Daniel in a different light than she had originally chosen. Daniel and Sophie are a cute couple, but they definitely needed help to make a connection. I loved their connection over the 12 days of Christmas that seem to be coming to life around them. That was very funny, and I enjoyed looking for the next crazy event to come. There were lots of laughs in this book, and it was a great way to start my Christmas reading!
A holiday-themed story with an adorable match-making cat in a Victorian bed and breakfast, enemies to lovers, lots of funny and laugh out loud moments, this cute christmas story put me in the mood for more holiday books and I ended up with a smile on my face.

The Twelve Days of Snowball by Kristen McKanagh Author released September 28, 2021.
Read if you like: Christmas stories, Romance, Chick-lits, enemies to lovers, adorable cats.
This book was beyond being an amazing read. IT moves along at a pace which is perfect for the flow of the story being neither too fast nor too slow. You will love these characters and want to know more about them. This story will grab you and keep you reading till the end and needs to be on your TBR list. There is no doubt about it.
The Twelve Days of Snowball (Kindle Edition) by Kristen McKanagh This is the first book I have read by Kristen McKanagh - but it won't be the last. I fell in love with Snowball and want a kitty just like her in my life. She takes her job as “official kitty” very seriously. This is a clean romance and I usually like a little steam but this story doesn't need it. Snowball knows that Daniel and Sophie are meant to be together and she will do anything it takes to make that happen. There is angst, misunderstandings, laughter, "the twelve days of Christmas", wonderful family and friends, and a great story that keeps you reading all to get us to a very HEA. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Happily Ever After Funny Wonderful characters Romantic Page-turner Action-packed Easy-to-read Great world building Entertaining
Snowball knows what she needs to do to kindle relationships. Daniel was my favorite character. Better than a Hallmark movie but I sure would like to watch it as a hallmark movie!!

Snowball is a white kitten who sees it as her duty to take care of the humans in her care at the Weber Haus bed and breakfast. The new manager, Sophie Heidt, is taking charge during the Christmas rush which includes a Christmas Market on the grounds, a wedding, construction on a new wing, and the joy of seeing to the needs of the guests. Sophie is less than impressed with the construction owner’s, Daniel Aarons, take charge tendencies while Snowball sees sparks between them.
This is a gentle romance kissing and handholding. No sex just attraction between two adults as they work out their differences against the backdrop of Christmas, construction, mild chaos, and cat-antics designed to bring the two together.
Note: I received this book as a review copy, but I have no hesitation in recommending it.
