World-renowned jewelry designer Remington Wolfe is competing for the commission of a lifetime and someone is trying to destroy his company from the inside. He's in for more than one surprise when his unexpected rescuer turns out to be a sexy computer specialist with a sharp tongue and even sharper mind.
Kat Smith is a cyber-security expert and master of disguise. So being assigned to masquerade as Wolfe's girlfriend while she uncovers who slipped malicious code into his corporation's computer systems is no problem. But when Kat's past catches up to her and their fake relationship starts to feel a little too real, problems are all she seems to have.

Kat is a woman with secrets but she is very good at her job as a cyber security expert. When she goes to do a job for Remington, their attraction is instant. In her quest to find his culprit, they get quite well **ahem** acquainted.
The plot was made interesting more so by Kat's past than by what she was doing for Remington. She has complexity to her personality that kept me interested while Remington did the sexy alpha bit quite well. Their intimate moments were seriously HOT.
The writing was solid and well rounded. This author is definitely one to watch for. All in all an enjoyable read.
Safety: No others for either. Neither are virgins. No rape.
Go on, indulge yourself with this romance which includes a very independent, feisty and determined cyber security expert - who has escaped from her homeland, pretends to be an American and lives under an assumed name - and a world renowned jewellery designer. She is currently known as Kat Smith and she’s visiting Remington Wolfe’s company to determine if someone is hacking into his computer network. She’s nothing like he imagined and the attraction between them is there immediately but with so many secrets around, nothing is going to be easy for these two. However, she needs a cover for being in his company and he convinces her to be his fake girlfriend, a role that both find just too easy to pretend and when Kat’s past history and people connected with her come to light, there’s danger from more than a hacker!
I had read a couple of books by this author in 2015 and this one is another great one. Her books are the sort that stay with you, with determined, intelligent, strong, leading ladies who aren’t just a pretty face and strive to protect those they love. In this case, Kat wants to find out what has happened to her sister and is prepared to put herself in danger to do so. She’s smart, confident but also vulnerable. She’s also great at recognising prejudice and making the perpetrator aware of it. The story is well developed with great characters and plenty of action. I have no hesitation in highly recommending it to anyone who enjoys a story with aspects of mystery and suspense, as well as romance that is a great read.
Many thanks to the publishers for gifting me a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review.
WOW. This is an absolutely AMAZING story and it deserves all the accolades that are no doubt coming its way. Kat was the best heroine I've read in ages; smart, sassy, confident in her sexuality and yet emotionally vulnerable. My absolute favourite line in the book was when she called Wolfe on his unconscious misogyny, when he'd chosen to take the word of a man he'd just met over hers. He claimed that their relationship was more than just sex;
"We had more than that."
"No, we didn't, because if we did you would have believed in me and not some bastard you only met for a couple of minutes."
I had to put the book down and have a little cheer to myself. I LOVE it when heroines call heroes on their shit like this. Absolutely love it. And then it gets even better because there is absolutely nothing Wolfe can say which doesn't dig him deeper into the hole. He has to go away and examine his own prejudices, accept his faults and learn how to grow as a person and move on in order to be worthy of her. It was PERFECTION.
The whole book is perfection, really. There are well-drawn characters and logical sub-plots, angsty backgrounds that are totally believable, and some fabulous action and love scenes. My only tiny quibble is as a part-time jeweller myself; no high-end designer is ever going to set museum-quality stones in silver. Silver's not considered a precious metal. If you want the look of silver, you use platinum or white gold, which is much more durable and non-tarnishing. Tiny point to consider if you ever write a jewellery designer or maker again ;P
I loved this story and I have no hesitation in giving it 5 stars.

•Choices Although this is book 4 of the Guide to Love series it's the first one I've read, as well as my first Alexia Adams story. Each story in this series is about the friends within their billionaire group, each one is it's own standalone love story. I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed reading Remington "Wolfe" and Kat's story. They had an instantaneous connection from first sure that're neither of them expected or knew how to handle. It was interesting to read how they grew closer together add they worked at finding who was sabotaging Wolfe's component whole he was working for the biggest job of his career. Kat has secrets she hasn't told anyone, but somehow she starts to tell Wolfe stone of them, but can she trust him with them including trusting him with her heart? Wolfe has been burnt in the past by someone he loved, can he trust Kat enough to give her his heart? Will either of them let the other in the way, or will they continue to be alone? You'll have to read Masquerading With the Billionaire to find out. I look forward to reading the other stories within this series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours through NetGalley for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual content this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older. Favorite Passage ~ ~ “Your secretary has a vivid imagination. Or is this a common occurrence in your office?” “Surprisingly, you are the first of my ‘girlfriends’ to visit my office, which probably accounts for all the curiosity about you.
Sexy, hot, nerdy computer geek and she. Yes, I said she was a master of disguise and could hack with the best of them. She sent in to do that job that was built for a man. So, no one would suspect a female. Would they? Here I should have been head over heels in love with the male, Remington, but Kat stole the show for me. She was a strong independent woman that could handle her business and fall in love. I did not say that it was easy but she took care of it.
Kat had a backbone that was forged over time and experience. She gave the female lead something that many have come to lack over the years. She still feminine but strong, fierce, capable. She made the perfect counterpart to Wolfe and the things he truly needed in his life. There are many ins and outs to this one that will keep you on your toes. There’s action, drama, and ultimatums. This one will have you turning page after page. Again and again.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fierce, strong, loyal, capable, independent heroine. Kat steals the show. Wolfe was along for the ride.
Kat Smith is a cyber security expert hired by Remington Wolfe to find someone trying to harm his company from within. Kat is one of the best in her field, hails from America, and she never lets a client get under her skin. She has secrets, of course, but don't we all? She's got a job to do and if she can do a little personal detective work on the side- even better.
Wolfe doesn't trust many people. Being in the gem business, he's seen people consumed by greed. When he meets Kat, she's nothing like he expected. Although coming highly recommended by a friend, Wolfe attempts to get the deets on her. He doesn't like her knowing almost everything about him and he knowing nothing about her. When she doesn't give him much information, he decides to have her investigated.
Bringing her into the company will be tricky since they already know it is an inside job, so they brainstorm a plausible cover. The only idea that could work is the illusion of being a couple. She's not his typical girlfriend he would have on his arm, but he is finding her more and more intriguing. She's strong, very feminine, and tells you like it is. He's thrown off when she's by him.
After Kat sets a few trap programs to catch the saboteur, Wolfe invites her to come to Russia with him for a jewelry competition that if won, would put his name at the top of the world's list of best jewelers. Once there, Kat runs into a former foe and Wolfe is on his heels trying to figure out who Kat really is. Finding out little by little, Kat is fast becoming someone he doesn't want to let go, but he doesn't feel he can trust her. Plus his company is still in danger. When Wolfe wins the contest, it has unforeseen conditions. If he takes the commission, then he has to kick Kat to the curb. Can he do that? Even if winning this is the pinnacle situation he wanted? Can he give her up not finding out all her secrets?
I highly recommend Masquerading With the Billionaire! It was a very well-written, intriguing story. I loved the suspense and how you are kept guessing what Kat's secrets were. You are kept on the very edge zipping through page after page, wanting to see what happens next! I really liked Kat-Wolfe was a little different, but I liked him too. Together they sizzled and I thoroughly enjoyed their romance!

This book was gifted to me by the Jeep Diva for an honest review. The review and ratings are solely my opinions.
Remimgton Wolfe/ Wolfe a famous jewelry designer and now was waiting for Kat Smith who was a cyber security expert Wolfe had hired. Kat had come in from San Francisco and worked in the IT industries.Wolfe had run into an old schoolmate- Simon and confessed his need for a discreet computer securities expert to uncover the person embedding malicious code in his company’s systems. Within hours Simon came through but with only the name Kat Smith and time of arrival. Kat thought Wolfe was hot and she needed to be immuned to him or get into his code soon. Liam Manning had asked her to take this job. Wolfe told Kat that up until two months ago everything had been fine. Now invoices were being dropped from the payment schedule and on a completely random basis and odd things were happening with his and his secretaries emails- some messages shown as read before they were even opened. They had changed their passwords and Wolfe had the entire system checked for viruses, malware, and bots but all the tests had come back clear. According to an industry expert had said most likely the cause is that someone had rewritten or added to the code for the accounting program. “ Kat” offered to appear as Wolfe’s girlfriend so a stranger among them wouldn’t look odd. Five years ago Kat had escaped from Russia with only her laptop and a determination to turn her life around. She owed a lot of her success to Liam. Kat pretends to be an American and lives under an assumed name. Kat and Wolfe are attracted to each other . Wolfe doesn’t like not knowing anything about kat yet she knows a lot about him. Wolfe asks Kat to go to Russia with him as he is competing to make jewels for a prince and his own family. If he got to do this he would go down in the history books and his name would never be forgotten. This was a good story and I enjoyed it a lot. I had no problem reading this from the very beginning until the last page. I liked that Kat was beautiful but had a brain and was actually needed for her brain. I couldn’t blame Wolfe for wondering if he could trust Kat as he really didn’t know anything about her. With everything going on and still having problems in his company. But i really liked the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I recommend.
Masquerading with the Billionaire is one of those stories that captures your attention from the first page and doesn’t let go until the final period is in place. Kat and Wolfe’s world was so well drawn that I had no trouble at all falling into their story. Emotionally their story was the type that keeps you thinking after the ending, wondering perhaps what you might have done… and realizing that their story was unique, simply allowing it to find it’s place among those wonderful books memories is enough.
I adored Kat. She is strong, brave, at moments vulnerable but determined – and she takes no crap from Wolfe. This is a woman secure in who she’s made herself and no man, not even one she’s in love with, is allowed to rock that foundation. I liked Wolfe, although I admit there were moments when I wanted to give him a stern set down. He had some learning to do, some attitude adjusting before he totally won over my heart. But together they were absolute magic.
This is a story where it would be easy to give away too much. So I’m going to suggest that you read this one for your own enjoyment, and make up your mind on this alluring couple. I can say that Masquerading with the Billionaire is emotional, sexy, full of twists and turns that you will not always see coming at you. There’s mystery and danger, acceptance and loving – in the end that’s the most beautiful gift of all, having someone love you exactly as you truly are.
Readers who enjoy Romance mixed in with a bit of Mystery will find a perfect fit with this story. I’d have no trouble recommending this story or this series. Completely enjoyed every moment spent with Wolfe and Kat.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Kat Smith is a seriously gifted cyber security expert who has been hired to conduct an investigation into Remington Wolfe’s organization and determine why invoices are disappearing payroll has some weird things happening also and Wolfe is competing for a design contest for a royal family in the Middle East and cannot risk the designs being exposed before the event. I received a free, early release copy from the publisher via NetGalley. Kat also has some things that she is trying to stay out in front of from her past. As they work together to try and determine who is responsible for the malicious code causing issues in Wolfe’s network Kat and Wolfe grow closer. Wolfe has been burned recently by another woman he thought he was close to and Kat’s secretiveness is driving him crazy. Does she have other reasons for being there? She works for Liam, a friend of Wolfe’s so she is supposed to be someone he can trust, but, Wolfe sees deception in some of the answers to the questions he asks Kat. Wolfe and Kat are posing as a couple so that no one in the company is aware of what Kat’s investigation. He also is heading to Russia and decides to take Kat with him, but, Russia is not a safe place for Kat to visit and one wrong step could put them in danger. Masquerading with the Billionaire is a great read. Wolfe and Kat had amazing chemistry. There was an interesting plot and even a nice mystery which romance readers do not always get. This one is excellent!! It is definitely a fantastic romance with elements of suspense and mystery with touches of humor thrown in. Kat and Remington are great characters and their stories are intriguing. I really liked how the author developed these two. Definitely a book I recommend to everyone.
Kat Smith came to work for Remington Wolfe as a cyber security specialist. Someone is slipping malicious code into his system and Kat is determined to find out who. Posing as his girlfriend is all part of the job, until it's not just about the job anymore....
Fun read! Kat is living life in disguise, having left Russia years ago. She's hired to help Wolfe find out who's been messing with his jewelry company as a computer hacker, and when she pretends to be his girlfriend for a cover, sparks fly. Cute read and I enjoyed the characters! *arc provided by netgalley for honest review
One of the best books I've read in a while!!! Seriously. I loved this book. It had everything you could want and more. I've read Alexia before but this one is just over the top !!
Kat is a cyber security expert hired by Wolfe to search out the what and who is undermining his company. Kat is a woman with a past that she wants to keep hidden. She's damn good at what she does, she is however rocking two identities, but her past doesn't deter her from who she is now. She's got a job to do. Wolfe doesn't trust easily and he runs Kat through the paces when they first meet, she prefers her life to remain private despite knowing almost everything about him and his company due to her amazing hacking skills. Right down to how is secretary takes her coffee. They have to come up with a story to explain why she is around the office and so they devise the fake girlfriend. She's not he's typical type but he's truly tripped over his tongue over her. She's all woman and I think that throws him. She does her job well and still there are issues coming up with his computer that she is discovering, so she's set a couple traps in place. He's got a huge competition coming up to design jewelry for the Prince of the UE and this would put his name forever in history if he lands this. She is his muse for his designs although she doesn't know it. They travel to Russia together where the initial meeting with the Prince for the competition and there Kat runs into an old adversary. Things take a twist. Wolfe is awarded the job of setting the Prince's jewels but it comes with conditions. He's faced with a choice. Take the job and eliminate Kat from his life. Does he trust Kat? Why is his company still having problems?
This book was so well written, the characters were fully fleshed out and had depth. The backstory was incredible. The suspense and intrigue for me was so unexpected and yes, you're kept guessing and a little on edge. I liked Kat a lot. Wolfe was a little intense but I did like him. We see Liam again from an earlier book. The end you do not see coming. It was a page turner from the moment I started reading it, didn't put it down. I absolutely recommend this book.
Alexia, you've truly outdone yourself.
**arc from NetGalley and Entangled in exchange for a fair review***
Remington, though he prefers Wolfe, is thankful an old friend of his was able to recommend a cyber genius, Kat, to help him uncover who has been inserting malicious code into his company's systems. As he's awaiting her arrival, he sees a gorgeous woman and his brain instantly creates images of all the things he'd like to do to her, with her, and...woah, it's Kat. She looks nothing like the picture his assistant found of her.
Kat cheekily informs Wolfe her friend insists upon playing pranks by using other people's pictures and claiming they're her. Although, she can think of numerous things she'd like to show this sexy man, none of them involve her identification. Kat thought she had her immediate attraction to him on lock down after reading over his file, but nothing prepared her for his potency in person.
As Wolfe and Kat discuss his situation more in depth, they also need to agree on a cover story. Though Kat knows she'd rather choose the safer option of appearing to work in accounting, the one that ensures her more freedom is also the one that could be the most dangerous to her senses...playing the role of Wolfe's girlfriend.
It isn't long into their charade before pretend starts feeling real and has both parties questioning the sanity of this idea. As for Wolfe, having been burned once upon learning a woman's true intentions, he has Kat investigated to ensure he isn't being tricked again. However, Kat, for her safety, needs to remain an unknown factor as her real identity may be uncovered if anyone digs too deeply into her current alias.
"There was no one she could truly rely on. If she told Wolfe everything about her past, he'd dump her faster than Usain Bolt ran a hundred meters." - Kat
Kat is unlike any woman Wolfe has ever known and while that worries him, it also intrigues him. Kat though can easily see herself falling for him and that terrifies her as she believes Wolfe will only ever view her as a fling due to her history. But Kat's biggest secret? She wants the fairy tale of a marriage grounded in love and children created from it.
"It may have started as a game, but our mutual response wiped all the cards off the table." - Wolfe
What happens when someone from Kat's past has Wolfe doubting her? Will Kat be able to convince Wolfe of her innocence? Or will Wolfe's own past cause him to believe the worst of her? How will Wolfe react upon learning his professional dream can be achieved if he agrees to one condition? How will Kat feel upon learning, yet again, that she comes in second to someone's ambition? Will Wolfe let her go to accomplish his goal? Or will he realize loving, and being loved by, Kat is all he truly needs?
One-click now and follow along as two people work together to save a company, find a piece of the past, and learn if they have a future together.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
A fun, witty, and sexy story that seamlessly flowed out of the pages delivering a tale of love, loss, and deceive. The layers of lies and falsity laying on every step of the way, putting the characters life on the edge and into a constant danger of being found out or being betrayed. I enjoyed the characters immensely. They were interesting, had depth, smarts, unique wisdom and a broad worldview. That the author knew what she was talking about when she created these multinational characters was obvious, the cultural matters were so spot on, and the environments exact and legitimate giving the story credibility and validity. Remington Wolfe is not your typical billionaire. His wide understanding of life and people who grew up differently than himself was refreshing. Being neglected as a child was something that gave him and Kat something to bond over, making their connection from the first moment on more profound. Remington was kind, generous, and caring. His offer to let Kat cry on his arms melted my heart. Kat Smith was an amazing character. She had overcome more than most can even comprehend. Yet she had managed to make a life for herself, a good life with a bright future. As long as she is not caught in the web of lies her whole life exist on. I felt so connected to her, to the mix of languages in her mind, and longing for the home far away a long time ago that wasn't there anymore. Together Kat and Remington went from steaming hot to endearing and adorable in a heartbeat. Having watched Remington Steele on the television gave me a connection to the story that is unique, the images the tale created in my mind more specific. The elements of suspense and treachery brought intensity to the tale and helped to move the plot forward and the characters around the world. A well written, marvelously entertaining tale! ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side
Masquerading with the Billionaire is a sexy, entertaining read with two likable, strong leads. Kat Smith is a cyber security expert who has been hired by Remington Wolfe (I love that name!!!) to find out who has been messing with the security of his company's network. He's not expecting such a sensuous, gorgeous woman and he's instantly attracted to her. They decide she'll pose as his girlfriend as she works to figure out what's going on with his network and soon they end up engaging in a steamy fling. It's little surprise that even though their time together is short, they end up developing strong feelings for each other. They're both passionate people, with emotional issues caused by horrible childhoods. Hers because her mother threw her out onto the streets in favor of her sister, who soon became a premier ballerina, and his because his parents were distant, uncaring people who left his care to his nanny, then to boarding school.
I absolutely love Kat. She's my favorite kind of heroine: strong, smart, and independent with a compassionate, loving heart. She went through so much in her short life, and came out on top and with her heart intact. Wolfe too is amazing, but had been left very mistrustful of women, of people in general, because of his parents, so it caused him to mistrust Kat, even though she hadn't given him any reason to mistrust her. I wanted to smack him upside the head when he hurt Kat, even though I knew it was coming. Thankfully, his hunger for fame finally came in second to his love for her, and he made up for it in a sweet, soul baring way!
I received an ARC through NetGalley for an honest review.
This is the first book that I've read by this author, and it definitely won't be my last. Remington Wolfe is a world renowned jewelry designer, that suspects that someone in his company is trying to destroy his business. He has to bring someone from the outside to figure out what is going on. Enter the beautiful Kat Smith, who is a brilliant cyber-security expert, and poses as his girlfriend. However, the real feelings that are developing have both of them reeling, especially since Wolfe is convinced that Kat is hiding something. Since this story has a suspense edge to it, I'm not giving away anything else. It kept me on the edge of my seat cover to cover, as the twists and turns came out of left field, that led to me dropping loud f-bombs more than once. Alexia Adams talented writing shone brightly with this story that started out exciting, and never slowed down. The plot was fast paced, and great, with an added in bonus of simmering chemistry which led to some steamy sexy scene goodness. Masquerading with the Billionaire would have been a perfect read to me if the ending was a bit longer, as it was high octane excitement, so I needed a bigger ending. Nonetheless, I will checking out all other books by this author, as she's right up my alley, so I'll end with HIGHLY RECOMMENDING this super exciting story!
This “new to me” author put quite a spin on what I figured would be a cookie cutter pattern romantic read, folks. Kat Smith, the heroine, caught me by surprise by her multi-layered past and intriguing present profession. Sure, she can unravel and track down any malicious computer software, but the way she hacked into and knocked down the fire walls around Remington Wolfe’s untouchable heart was quite impressive, as well.
As slowly but surely Kat’s true identity is revealed, I’m happy to report there was an intriguing hint of cloak and dagger plot twist which added to this romantic, steamy storyline. She certainly stole the show for me. Though it took this billionaire hero a while to catch up with the program and realize what he valued the most, I want to thank Ms. Adams for giving us such a strong, enduring heroine that refused to be any man’s doormat or second choice.
The office plot itself was quite predictable, and Kat’s estranged family situation was a little OTT unlikely, but it didn’t deter me from enjoying seeing these two destined to be lovebirds bond together and get their HEA.

I received this ARC copy of this book from the Publisher. I give this book 5 stars. I whole heartedly recommend this book. The storyline was well written with great steamy sences, betrayal, thrill, lust, suspense and A HEA ending.
I enjoyed Kat's mystery backstory. I found it exciting. I had my doubts about their first visit to Russia given at the time Kat's reluctance to share important information about her Russian past. Good story.
Masquerading with the Billionaire is a novel that quickly captured my attention. From the very beginning I was hooked. The storyline, the main characters, the intimate scenes, and feeling provoked through the enjoyable writing style was a winner all together. Wolfe needs Kat to find out who is trying to destroy his company internally. As they spend time together Wolfe becomes fascinated with the mystery that is Kat. Kat is running from her past and isn’t planning to change for anyone. She can’t slow down for too long and she doesn’t plan for her fake cover story relationship with Wolfe become real. But the problem with faking it is when those feeling begin to feel real. I really enjoyed reading this novel! I would give it 4.5 stars.

There was so much to love about this story, starting with Wolfe's name, his real full name. Definitely a cute throwback. Now on to the rest of the greatness. First he is described as a young George Clooney, swooning already. Next is Kat's strong independent character. I loved how she took care of herself and her witty banter with Wolfe. Their connection was sizzling hot and softened both of their personalities. I adored the way they opened up to one another, more than to anyone else. And her interactions with her family brought a tear to my eye and a big pounding to my heart. And the ending, perfect. I loved seeing the characters from the other books in this series play significant parts in Wolfe and Kat's story.

ARC Review: Masquerading With The Billionaire (A Guide to Love) by Alexia Adams
Alexia Adams, thank you for inspiring women. Kat Smith proved that a woman can be more than a pretty face, a damsel in distress or arm candy. She had the attitude of a fighter and the skills to back it up. Masquerading With The Billionaire continues the trend that is becoming more prevalent in romantic fiction. The heroine is in the spotlight for her brain, not her body. That speaks volumes.
I loved the way how the plot was given a fresh eye. The story was unique and from the very start it involved the characters and the readers. The elements used throughout the plot helped in making it an engaging read. The characters were powerful and strong and had a personalities that I was able to enjoy.Their chemistry easily took off the book to a new dimension. The narrative style helped a lot in making the book an enjoyable read. I would have preferred a more mysterious cover image considering the plotline and the title. Other than that, I have no other complaints with the book.
My opinion: I loved the book for its individuality in terms of its plot and the characters.
Masquerading With the Billionaire has a lot of my favorite romance topics all in one book. Fake girlfriend to the Billionaire. Computer hacker and loving in the office. Jewels and private planes.
I have enjoyed books by this author in the past so when I was given the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book I decided to take a chance. I really enjoyed this story. It is a well written, fast paced romance, but it contains elements of mystery and suspense along the way as well. The story takes the reader on a journey through not only the relationship between Wolfe and Kat but through various countries that the author describes with wonderful imagery. I enjoyed watching the relationship between the two main characters grow.

It has taken me a while to write this review. I wanted to make sure that I got it right.
I loved the mystery of this book. Remington Wolfe is faced with an insider betraying him. He thinks he can handle and outsmart the individual but quickly realizes that Gemstones and designs are his forte and he is out of his depth. Calling in a favor, he quickly retains one of the most sought after cyber security hackers in the world, Kate Smith. Yet Kate is not his vision of a computer nerd. She strikes emotions in Wolfe (Remington) that he thought were not achievable for him, yet he knows she is hiding something. Will her deepest secret hurt both of them or will his growing emotions for her switch on his instinct to protect her for life?
This book is well written, taking the reader on a steady paced journey that has mystery, suspense, angst, passion and beautiful imagery. I didn't want the story to end because I was emotionally invested in Wolfe and Kate. You will not be disappointed with the ending of this book, it is realistic, nice and tidy.
