As I initially flipped through the pages, I was mesmerized by the stunning full-color photo montages of various flowers and landscapes through the seasons.

Louise Bélanger's poetry are filled with heartfelt messages. Poems that touched me the most included:

1. "I want..." - quite emotional;
2. "God lifts the veil" - I only hope that I have done so during my teaching career;
3. "a handful of cloud" and "during the night" - I love how the visual aspects of these poems led up to the unveiling so that I enjoyed rereading them now that I "got" them;
4. "And they lived happily ever after" - the last 5 lines really moved me; and,
5. my absolute favorites: "What do you long for?" and "Zoom to Heaven" (literally brought tears to my eyes!)

I highly recommend this beautiful collection of poems for followers of Christianity!

Thank you, Louise, for gifting me with your lovely book. I will treasure it always!

This was my first time reading Poetry.
Poetry uses forms and conventions to suggest differential interpretations of words or to evoke emotive responses, and Bélanger has been successful in this.
In this book, Bélanger uses aesthetic and rhythmic qualities of language to evoke true meanings inspired by Christ.

My favorite poems were "Dust", "The contest", and "The most beautiful love poem".

A beautiful collection of poetry. There are reflective words that touch upon gratitude, happiness, desires, hopes, God, and more. I love the field of daisies that Author Louise has on page 8. So very beautiful. Twenty-eight poems are accompanied by striking photographs that further elevate and bring the words to life. Author Louise is also an amazing and gifted photographer. Each photograph delights the reader as each page is turned. The poem titled "I Want" on page 13 resonated and reminded me that life is not about what "I want." I have learned to want what God wants, and I will never be disappointed. The poem titled "It is Time" on page 16 reminded me of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. The poem titled "Ordinary" also struck a chord with me. The poem "Gems in Heaven" includes two reflection questions within the poem, and those two questions reminded me of scripture verse 1 Corinthians 2:9. As a musician, the poem "More than just..." reverberates my journey. Thank you for sharing your gifts, Louise! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this publication!

I'd seen this book getting five star reviews and wondered if such a short book of poems could really be that good. It is, it really is. Wisdom, life lessons and gratitude to God leave you on a high! Louise, I don't know you, but I thank you for writing such an inspirational book.

Your Words, Your World is a beautiful collection of poetry, photographs, and story poems about God and the world He created, and the second book of poems by Louise Bélanger. It helps the reader look at the world in a new way.

Among my favorite poems is Ordinary, about how God can take something ordinary, like a star or a body of water, and make it do extraordinary things. I also loved Dust, which reminds us that God created us all from something we don’t really like–dust. A War Erupted paints a beautiful and tumultuous picture of a thunderstorm. The Contest is a thought-provoking story poem about a conversation between flowers. Zoom to Heaven is probably my favorite of all, as it talks about what it would be like to have a Zoom conversation with a loved one in Heaven.

Your Words, Your World takes a unique look at God and the world He created, and it makes me appreciate Him and this world all the more.

The photographs of nature throughout the book are gorgeous and mesmerizing, and they make perfect companions to the poems.

A note to the author!!

Louise, you are DEAR; your poetic words are PROFOUND; the illustrations are SPELLBINDING (and unique).

A note to the prospective reader!!

If you love the spiritual and sometimes are not embarrassed to shed a tear or two, this set of poems is for you. I hardly knew what to expect when I started, but frequently had to stop and reflect or re-read because tears blurred my sight.

Louis Belanger has written two more set of poems and you can bet I will be reading them.

AND, Lucky Readers, she is working on a fourth.

I have highlighted many passages which I will make available via Kindle Notes soon.

5 HOLY stars

Love it.

If I could I would rate this book higher. It is a book that gives me the desire to grow closer to God. I will have to purchase a copy for my library along with Louise's first book. I feel her writings are inspired.

I’m not a big poetry reader, but I’m a sucker for a good cover and I loved the flower on the cover of this book. I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy so many of the poems inside.

My favorite poem is fitting right now because it is about Christmas. It is simply called “Don’t”. The poem reminds us that when we store away all the Christmas decorations, not to put “Christmas” in a box. It was a lovely reminder of how the feelings we have during the holidays should be something we strive to feel on even a regular day. The poem also reminds us that without Christmas, there is no Easter and without Easter, there is no one in heaven!! If you are a Christian, this message resonated with me.

A poem with an emotional impact for me was The Most Beautiful Love Poem....I won’t tell you why because I don’t want to ruin it for you, but it is truly an AMAZING poem!!

If you are interested in Christian poetry, you will love this book. If you aren’t a Christian, there are many uplifting messages within the pages, and who doesn’t need that, right?!

Your Words Your World was recommended to me by NetGalley in an email that I received. I felt that the recommendation came at a perfect time as I was feeling a little ‘blue’, and the thought of some poetry and beautiful photographs might be just what I needed.
This book of poetry was exactly what I needed. I loved the easy to read poems, and the pictures were beautiful to look at, especially while I was able to look out of my window and watch the snow fall outside. I hate to admit that I have not read one single poem since high school, so this was a nice change of pace for me. The older that I get, the more I appreciate poetry and gorgeous pictures of nature.
My three favorite poems from this book are titled Sometimes, Clowns, and Success. I definitely recommend this book of poetry to anyone that is looking for a nice spiritual lift, as well as to someone that appreciates photos of nature. I plan on reading future books from this author.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Louise Belanger for this gifted e-copy of this book. It was a great pleasure to read and review this book.

Readers’ Comments
“A thought-provoking set of poetry with a strong religious feel to them. Although the layout of the photographs is not so inspiring, they are there, and I think many people will enjoy them. If Christian-themed poetry is your thing, you´ll probably enjoy this.” Male reader, aged 43
“I enjoyed I Want a lot; also Don´t is excellent. The author of this is a talented poet with a lot to say in terms of God and how inspiring he can be to many. I loved the photography. It´s a little haphazard, but it adds warmth to the book.” Female reader, aged 56
“Possibly a little too religious for me. Although I am a Christian, I felt the poetry was too preachy. Saying that, I still felt they were emotive, not overly complex, and easy to settle down with at the end of a long day.” Female reader, aged 61
“Accessibly written, easy to follow and not too abstract. There´s a simple message of how important God is in everybody´s life.” Female reader, aged 62

To Sum It Up:
‘An uplifting set of poetry with a strong Christian element.’ The Wishing Shelf Book Awards

“With all the colours in the world
The infinite combinations
Hidden inside”

“God, is there a place?
Where Your Spirit
Takes more room, and I kind of
Disappear”

“And occasionally
God lifts the veil
And we see such beauty…”

Another beautiful collection of poems and photography by Louise. I love the mixture of poems that revolve around nature, God’s creation and people, God’s love and grace, and how it all intertwines together. Some of my favorite poems include “Ordinary,” “Gems In Heaven,” “Promises”, “More Than Just”, “A War Erupted,” and “The Most Beautiful Love Poem.” This wonderful collection of poems is ultimately uplifting and hopefully will draw you closer to the beauty of God. At least, that is what it did for me.

This poetry collection was a nice uplifting pick me up on a dreary winter day. Particularly cheerful was the poem entitled “The contest” in which various types of flowers are debating their merits and realize they are better as a bouquet. Simple, yet impactful.

In addition to the cheerful poems, there were a few that got me thinking about more serious matters. In particular, “Dust” is a thought provoking poem about how man is created of dust but not just any dust. The dust was from the garden of Eden, “Stunning dust from a perfect world”.

I would recommend this collection to a world weary Christian as a gentle reminder to notice the simple things in life and appreciate them.

This is the second book I have read by Louise. Like the first book, I enjoyed the pictures, poetry, and stories within. She definitely has a unique talent for putting thought-provoking words to paper and an eye for photographic splendor. Together, the words and photos light up the book, making it both visually appealing and interesting. I also love her heart for God and how boldly she showcases that throughout the book.

The book is an easy, peaceful read, and I am looking forward to Louise's next book!

A Captivating Book of Poetry & Photography

Ordinarily, I do not read poetry books, but after reading the author’s first book, Your Words, I simply had to read her new release. Like the first book, within the captivating cover and among the garden of the author’s talented photography, are some of most beautiful, insightful and spiritual poems. As I began reading them, I found myself so drawn into the words and meanings, I’ve since read each one several times, with a few clinging to my mind long after I finished. Like a great novel, each poem paints such a vivid picture that captures all of the senses, sight, sound, taste, touch, smell, along with diving much deeper beyond the senses. I am truly stunned by the author’s talent and ability to write a few stanzas that come alive and touch your heart. I highly recommend reading this beautiful book of poetry.

Amazing poetry!
Stunning poems and equally stunning photographs. That's what these poems are - STUNNING. They took my breath away and a few of them brought tears to my eyes. These touched me deeply. They are so beautifully written and thoughtful and thought provoking. Some of them I read a couple times just to let them sink in... then finally "Yes! I get it! Amen!"

I do a lot of Bible journaling (putting art and Bible study together) and these poems are a perfect tool. I am really looking forward to using parts of them in my Bible journaling.

The pictures - yes, absolutely stunning! Put the two together and I think I have just added my first "favorite book of 2022"! I think I will be having this one on hand to read (and look at) over and over!

I voluntarily posted this review after receiving a copy of this book from "Poetic Book Tours" and the author - Thank You!

Once again, another lovely book by Louise Belanger! I most definitely would have purchased Your Words, Your World had I not won a copy in a Goodreads giveaway. I was thrilled, of course, since I had enjoyed her debut (Your Words) so much. Don’t miss out on either of these stunning books of poetry and photos; both are so inspirational. Again, I’ve chosen four of note (personal taste, of course), though it was difficult to narrow it down. They are:
Ordinary,
Sometimes,
Rusty & Angel, and
The Most Beautiful Love Poem.

The poems in this book are beautifully written, they are evocative and moving. They are thought provoking with wonderful messages much needed in the current climate of divisions. The personalised view of unwavering faith, joy and kindness is also much needed as the last 18 months have been hard and we haven’t always allowed ourselves the time to grieve, reflect or recharge and these poems have certainly given me that chance.
The book also contains beautiful photographs full of colour, light and nature. I could look at the sunset over the water through the trees for hours. The seasonal landscapes are a wonderful accompaniment to the poetry that calm the mind and maybe even the soul.
There are many poems that stayed with me but During the Night is a beautiful poem that I wanted to give a special mention to. It is filled with joy and excitement so vivid you can picture the scene the next morning. I loved the photo that followed as well as it kept that joyous feeling with the reader.

Your Words Your World by Louise Belanger is a most beautiful book of poetry about us and God, and the world that He created.
Each poem is accompanied by a stunning photo from nature that is so very beautiful. We marvel at the natural world that God has created.
God created us to live in relationship with Him and with each other. Life is never meant to be lived in grand isolation but in relationships. The poems celebrate this as they explore Biblical themes and a God who loves us.
Your Words Your World is a powerful collection of poems. They spoke to my heart and soul. Dip in and out of the book or read it cover to cover and let the words soothe your soul and bless you.
I received a free copy from the author. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.

Beautiful, both words and images.
Inspirational, again, both visually as well as in message.
This author has a wonderful relationship with God and His creation.
I can tell her life has not been completely without pain, but she has come to an understanding, an acceptance, and her words help the reader find peace.
Two of my favorites, early on in the book, evoked images of my own past experiences.
IT IS TIME and A HANDFUL OF CLOUD each made me smile and look back upon some of my best memories.
Others revel in the wonder and beauty of nature and in our relationships with people as well as ourselves and our beliefs.
If you, like me, read this book on a black and white kindle or digital ereader, I encourage you to visit the author's website or IG account for full appreciation of the wondrous colors in her images.

I already owned the previous book and thank Louise for gifting me a copy of this second volume. The opinions expressed are my own.
