Don’t fully understand why this story was separated into 6 mini books all under 70 pages, but I was able to get through them pretty quick. The story was interesting but pretty unrealistic. Quick easy reads!

Not exactly the abrupt endingI was expecting

I really enjoyed this series. I think it is one of the best & most detailed I have read by her, but as usual I don't like the way it ends. There is no slow lead up, they find the killer, the end of the book. There is nothing really about what happens after except maybe a couple of lines & it isn't just this author, most authors are guilty of this. I like a little more detail than just the end, that's a big let down I don't care how good the book or series are. And like I, said before I think she would sell more books if she would put all of these short books into one longer book instead of having to wait in between books & you forget what you've already read before you are allowed to give your review. There is too long a period between finishing the book & being able to post the review.

I was in a reading slump and read the six book series. Thank goodness they were free on kindle unlimited. Each book can be read in 45 to 60 minutes .
Grammatical errors are cringe worthy. Doesn't any one proof read the copy. Two examples follow:
1. Joe would have probably killed both Frank and I. Really??
.....should read, Joe would have probably killed both Frank and ME. (you wouldn't say ' killed I'.
2. Did you see all the people helping Becky and I? Should read, 'Did you see all the people helping Becky and me.
All six 'books' could have been printing in one volume.
They are not even worth $.99 each. 😣

Much anticipated conclusion to this series was well worth the wait. Felt sorry for Julia as she identified Frank’s body. Brody as always was right by her side. If you want a good mystery, then this is the series for you. Sage Parker never disappoints her readers. This series is no exception. You can read this book in an afternoon. It is a clean read which means the most to me.

I was given this advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Julia & Brody meet with all of Frank's Gals ...... Jane, Abby, Maria & Charlotte to inform them of Frank's demise.... Brody watches each woman's reaction to the news with possible suspects added to his list! While all this is going on Julia gets upset & decides to return to her Hotel Room, forget the overwhelming revelation of how close each woman was to her Husband!! Unable to rest she decides to head for the Bar for a much needed drink or two, but in the far corner is The Dark-Haired Man looking at her intently as she's about to be taken away & assaulted by the other two men.... CAN Brody return in time to rescue Julia or will he finally confront The Dark-Haired Man & get him to release this unsuspecting woman he's developed feelings for & give him what he wants in exchange for JULIA!! An exciting series that can't be missed... I really enjoyed these Books 1-6!!

This is the last in the 6 series book Hidden in the Keys which was a very good series. I liked the short stories which were easy to read but kept your attention with so much mystery going on. The main character, Julia, really found out a lot about her husband which she had no clue when he went missing and Detective Brody Barker gets on the case. Brody starts having feelings for Julia and is determined to get to the end of the case and find out the truth of what happened to the missing man. As they were looking for him, more and more of him came to light and Julia couldn’t believe she was married to the man for 25+ years and yet knew nothing about his life. The books are great, they are short, they keep you interested with all the mystery and a great clean, women’s read.

I did not see that ending coming in any way. The final segment of this storyline was terrific, with danger, drama, more women to interview and more clues being discovered. Frank was well written as the detective figuring out all the clues and facts while protecting Julia, who really did not know anything about her husband and his real business. The slow romance that was starting between Frank and Julia can finally proceed without interruption. Can not wait to reread all the storyline in one session. Well done.

I felt this 6 book series was like a Hallmark channel book. For 25 years Julia just floats along thinking being locked in a room for a time out is ok. She had to ask for a credit card or money. Her and Brody the investigating officer have alcohol nonstop. She is not supposed to leave her room but saunters down to the hotel bar to get drunk and lets 2 guys ply her with drinks. Brody hides the book that is key in his dumpy apt above the diner not locked in his desk drawer at a police station - let alone not logging it in as evidence and of course he has a dumpy apartment. Frank is supporting multiple women but he is a nerd So obviously I am not the reader the author is going for

What a conclusion!
Danger abounds when Julia is kidnapped by her husband’s mob cohorts leaving Brody desperately trying to locate her. Enter Cynthia, Frank’s daughter, who is deeply involved in her father's activities and death. Although it's been hard to put the previous books in this series aside for almost anything, this one is impossible to put aside for more than a really quick break. You won’t believe "who dunnit"!!!!

Be very suspicious of your daughter giving you a gun for your birthday!

This saga was comprised of too many books!! It could have easily been presented in four books instead of six. However the storyline was interesting and followed logical path, but had an unexpected ending. The main character, Frank, was quite a busy and productive man, to say the very least. He sure had a way with women. It seemed amazing that he was able to juggle all of them and over such great distances. Poor Frank never saw what was coming!j

A great conclusion to this story by Sage Parker. We finally find out the truth into Frank’s disappearance and murder and I was somewhat surprised by the turn of events. This whole series had left me guessing. Loved that Brody and Julia found their way to each other and I would love to read more about them in the future. A great book and series.

Good Mystery!

Good plot but this is a chapter book, with cliffhanger at end of each chapter . Interesting plot but it is longer than necessary, with lots of repetitions. Many unpleasant characters. Unless you read via Kindle Unlimited, cost is almost $10 for the 6 chapters, and this story is not that good. Having been blindsided by this concept of chapter books before, I now wait until all chapters are published. I write this as a warning to future readers!

So things have gone from bad to worse. More creeps come out of the shadows and they’re continuing to target Julia, who is suffering from all of the betrayals that have come to light.
Brody not only saves Julia, but finally cracks the case. It will come as a huge surprise. Really wonderful episodic series.

What a fantastic way to end this series. I was shivering in my pjs while reading the last book. I would never have considered the actual killer. What an ending. So glad Julia and Brody will get a happily ever after and that she is safe. Had me trembling the whole way!!! I received this book for free as an ARC reader and my review is my own...

The final book in the series brings the story to a dynamic ending. Detective Brody and Julia goes to Miami chasing more questions. We finally find out who has been stalking Julia, what kind of business Frank was in, Brody realizes his feelings for Julia, AND the person who murdered Frank is revealed!! The murderer really surprised me. I loved all the twists in the story. Great series!!

Each book is a segment of the whole story so if you haven't read the previous books, you'll want to do that first.

Great characters you enjoy getting to know and you long before you reach the end you feel like you've known them for years. The story line is well written, flows smoothly from page to page and keeps your attention from start to finish. A series you don't want to miss out on.

I found this series, one story actually, intense and very well written. Each episode is quickly read and the tension is maintained throughout as Julia and Detective Brody untangle the intriguing life Frank led. This last book has high suspense through to the twisty conclusion. It must have been edited quickly; a few minor typos crept in.
Altogether a very satisfying read, if you like a puzzling whodunit.

Couldn’t even finish it

I stopped reading this story in book 5 but should have stopped long before that. The characters had no depth and the women were portrayed as being either mercenary or unbelievably stupid. Also spoiled. When the daughter of the guy who is a cop didn’t want to get a summer job at a diner to save for college because she “would smell like fried food” I gave up.

Exciting page-turner.

The author has the ability to keep the reader guessing. I will definitely be looking for more of her books and hope the story is completed within one book instead of spread out over 6. The main negative - and it’s one I find with most books I purchase on Amazon - is the lack of editing, i.e. “except” instead of accept, possessives instead of plurals, “I” instead of me and many more.

I read the 6 book series because I had to find out what happened to Frank. The ending surprised me. I have to say though, that by book 3 I no longer liked Julia. I was amazed that she couldn't remember to look out the peephole before opening a door. That, although she was scared, she still left her home or hotel room when she was told by Brody not to leave for her own safety. I could go on, but I won't. These are the first books I have read by Sage Parker, and she just is not my style.

one book, six pieces

Such a disappointment. I should have quit halfway through the first “book.” The story is totally unbelievable to anyone with the slightest police knowledge. Boring and drawn out over six books that are nothing but one book separated into pieces, I suppose to bring in more money. Even though it was free with Kindle unlimited, it was such a pain to have to down load all six.

I liked that this book was so action packed and full of surprises I did not see coming.  I felt so sorry for Julia and all that she had gone through.  I also liked that maybe she and the cute detective Brody might start dating.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

We finally know what happened to Frank. It was a surprise. What a sordid life that man led. His poor innocent wife. The tale kept my interest throughout. Still not a fan of reading a book in this manner. I am much too impatient to reach the conclusion. Thanks to the author for providing a copy via Booksprout.

Would highly recommend the series! Loved all the books! I couldn’t wait until the next week when the next book would come out! I enjoyed Julia’s house on the ocean. I liked having the likable characters and the unlikable characters. The final book does answer all the questions.

A Very Strange Ending!

This story finally ended it has such surprising ending. It all have to do with a ledger with codes that the Mob wanted desperately, that's why Julia's house was trashed and the dark haired man kept trying to kidnapped Julia.I have really loved reading all six of these books. I think other people will also.

The Longboat Key Series

I liked the fact that there wasn't any swearing, or dirty language. I was excited, sad, and happy throughout the series. Whenever I put the book down I couldn't wait to get back to it. The story was well done. I was looking forward to reading more about Becky, but maybe the next series. This is a series I could recommend to any age level.

I enjoyed her books in the Hidden in the Key series. All 6 of these were really just one book. Just a few chapters were sold at a time. First one was free and it was good. Then with further books (chapters) went up. Even though I enjoyed it, I won’t be purchasing again unless she sells the entire book.

I could have liked this book if it had been just that...a book. However, this idea of serializing stories so that you have buy 4 or 5 books to get to the ending just not appeal to me one little bit. In fact, I will definitely not be buying any more of this style of novel. Find it most annoying. It really goes back to Victorian times and should have stayed there.

The story itself started out quite well and definitely would have been a page turner but by the 3rd stage I was fed up and not liking it anymore.

The Ending Finally

New characters are introduced late in this dragged out story. A surprising person was named by one of these new characters as Frank's murderer. This book was actually a very interesting story.. I feel it could have been in just one average size book rather than 6 small ones. I don't recommend this book. I also won't read another book by this author.

Can Julia be kept safe?

The suspense is kept up until the last page as Brody does his best to solve the mystery that Frank left at the same time as seeing that Julia is kept safe.
There are more characters introduced who had a part in Frank's life, but they are all strangers to Julia and just make the plot a whole lot more complicated.
