Holy hotness!! I devoured this book! Couldn't put it down. Blaze and Hannah had my full attention, my emotions and my heart. I've loved every book in the series, but this one has been my favorite. I've been invested in this couple from the start and was so excited to finally read their story!

The chemistry these two had was inferno level. I want to know where I can have a Blaze made for myself! I knew these two were gonna bring the angst and boy did they!

Nothing came easy for these two when it came to the other. They both felt a commitment to each other, but also to the Shadow Crew. They knew what one another needed before a word was even spoken. The connection they had was a one of a kind one. One that everyone strives for, but not many accomplish. Both had secrets and insecurities that plagued their life.

I felt SO much while reading this book - My heart hurt, it soared with happiness and it sped up with the twists and turns throughout the book. So many beautiful moments, so many flipping scorching smexy scenes... Blaze and his mouth!!!!

That ending though!! OMG!!! I need the next book in my life!!!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Friends to lovers
Angst: 😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Best one in series, yet! Absolutely loved it! So Shadow Crew hasn't been my favorite series by Cala Riley, just because I'm more of a mafia girl. But this story completely blew me away and is probably tied for their favorite book of mine (Haruaki). We've been waiting for Blaze and Hannah's story since book one as their "friend" chemistry has been electric and we knew there had to be a story behind them not already being together. Blaze is the super smexy jokester who likes to hide all his pain behind his snark and those waters run deep. He feels as though he's tainted and that he will pull Hannah down just by beging with her. Hannah is feeling pressure from a lot of places and what she sees as Blaze's rejection cuts deep and feeds her deepest insecurities. The interactions between the two of them are foreplay from the start and by the time they get to the deed your kindle is practically on fire, lol. Shift has a great storyline, is super fast paced, with tons of twists and turns. This is a "definitely recommend" book in a series that would be awesome for anyone who likes the Fast and the Furious and racing crews.

Shift is the third book in the Shadow Crew series by Cala Riley, but can be read as a standalone. It is told in first person, from dual perspective.

⛔️ My bookshelves can sometimes contain spoilers

Shift by Cala Riley is book Three in The Shadow Crew Series. This is the story of Hannah and Blaze. Blaze and Hannah are friends along with being a part of the Shadow Crew. But inside they have harbored stronger feelings and their attraction to each other just keeps growing. This was a really good story. I hope to read more from this author.

Being a female and having some insecurities of my own, you’d probably think I’d sympathize with Hannah during all her internal debates about whether Blaze really and truly wanted to be with her. You’d be wrong. I feel like maybe I should have my woman card revoked. I just couldn’t get behind her and her woe-is-me attitude since being arrested.

Please don’t misunderstand me, this book was still amazing. I devoured it with greedy eyes and a hungry heart. I have gone completely gaga over this series from the moment I first started it. For me, their crew and their stories have been unique for me and to my reading life. I absolutely love it and I am always eager for more and more. And after that ending I need more. I need to know what the heck just happened.

Another fabulously written Cala Riley story that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. While I didn’t care for how Hannah went about her insecurities towards her family, I did enjoy seeing her work through it and finding her happiness in Blaze. Finally. But how long will that happiness last when her crew is threatened? 5 Stars!!

“I’d follow you to the ends of the earth. You know that, right?”
Shift by Cala Riley

You had me at the spice scenes.

Damn those were hot af.

The series continued with Blaze and Hannah and their friends to lovers relationship that I truly loved. I’m usually not a friends to lovers fan, BUT this book had me loving it. It felt so natural and worked so well for these characters. With a found family trope, friends to lovers, a crew of racers, and the FBI hot on the tail, Shift was all I wanted and more.

Between the 🍑🍑 play, the emotions, the groveling, the mystery, the edge of the last page that left me hungry for more, I really enjoyed this third installment in the series. I thought Roman was my top fave but Blaze just jumped up to number one. And Hannah was so great to see come out of her shell and own who she is as a woman.

BRB, going to continue thinking about this series and how much I love the balance between plot, spice, and relationships.

***AVAILABLE NOW***

4.5 STARS

This has been my favorite in the series, and I knew it would be because of Blaze. He did not disappoint.

The steam was much more and kinkier with blood play and bondage, etc. it definitely fit them as a couple.

The ending. I knew and I’m so excited for it.

Again, there seem to be proofreading issues for a final published copy, easy things like the wrong word, wrong letter that changes the whole word.

I still really enjoyed it.

After binge reading the first two books of this series, I was ready to dive into Shift and I really enjoyed this concept behind not just the series but this book as well. I loved Hannah and Blaze. The spice factor was intense too! There is a lot of push and pull between all the twists that happen between them. Being a part of the Shadow Crew added the level of depth needed to keep you totally engaged as well. I loved the way this whole story played out and the growth of both characters!

What a thrilling ride!! Having been introduced to Hannah and Blaze in the previous books, I was so excited that they were getting their own book! In the previous books, they both seemed like such cool characters and Blaze was so fun and charming! In Shift, however, you get to meet this whooole other side to Blaze. He has his demons, and Hannah has her insecurities, and is unsure of her place in the crew. She's quite possesive and I'll admit I winced when she hit another woman for flirting with Blaze, and I did grimace when she called him a slut for wearing sweatpants as it made it look like he "wanted some" from other women. That did leave a sour taste in my mouth. This was such a dark read. A lot darker than the previous two! I found myself incredibly frustrated with them both at points and just wanted to bang their heads together haha! It even had me sobbing! Oh boy! The emotions I went through! There's also plenty of spice! It's also a little dark in the spice department too so bare that in mind if you're intrigued about reading Shift. It ended on a cliffhanger and ooooh I have my suspicions (maybe coz I'm in denial about something that happens previously). I cannot wait for the release of the final installment, Finish Line!

Uh, what happened

After 66% I just couldn't deal with these two anymore.

Not my kind of h, she's just a limp noodle. Not my kind of H either, he was a tool. They were actually so cringey together and their dialogue was cheesy at times. The chemistry seemed so forced too. I skipped ahead to the end. I am glad I did because Hannah would have pissed the hell out of me even more if I'd had to read about her actions later.

Honestly, I was super excited for Hannah and Blaze's story since book one. I was even going to skip Axel's story in favor of this. There was so much potential for their book. I really felt that the writing, dialogue, and execution was very different from the previous books. It didn't have the same writer's voice to it, if that makes sense. So yeah, their relationship development was very subpar compared to the previous couples. Hannah is so weak compared to Roxy, even Susie. I just can't with her. Very meh this one. I was really loving this series up til this. So disappointed.

Talk about sitting on the edge of your set. Cala Riley's Shift is the third book in The Shadow Crew series and it had me hooked right from the first chapter. Blaze and Hannah's story did pull on my heartstrings and had me wanting to give her a big hug. Blaze, although I understand why he did what he did, I wanted to kick him in the arse so many times. Cala Riley seems to know just how to get you so engrossed with the story that you do not want it to end. For me, this is the making of a fantastic book.

When you have been in love with someone for ten years but they are off with other women, what can you do? Hannah has loved Blaze since the first day she met him when she was eighteen. He fought for her to be part of the Shadow crew and Roman let her join but there was always something that was nagging her in the back of her mind. When she gets arrested and nobody from the "family" was there to drive her home as well as the FBI agent that talked with her and drove her home, Hannah starts to second guess her life as a crew member. On top of that self-doubt, there was Blaze who has her heart but she doesn't have his and he was supposed to be with her at the races and he was off with some chick. Hannah finally stands up for herself and becomes a force to be reckoned with when it comes to Blaze. Rules were set and promises were made but will they last? Can Hannah trust and believe Blaze? Will he break her heart? When offers are presented to her what will she do?

Blaze's life has not been the best, in fact, he has been through hell and back. He has demons that live in his head and seem to make him feel that he is not worthy of a good life or love. These demons have needs that are so dark that Blaze never wants anyone to know about the demons and their needs. When he was given the ok to have a relationship with Hannah, the demons and in turn Blaze know that this cannot happen. She cannot love someone that has such a dark side so he never acts upon it although he does love her. When Hannah puts him in a far-off friend zone, he is determined to win back her trust and love but can he? Is he too late? Will his playboy ways just be too much for Hannah?

Shift had everything that makes a book one that is a must-read. There was heartache, grovelling, suspense, a lot of spice, chemistry, family, demons, trust issues and understanding but most all there was love. Blaze and Hannah are my favourite couple and this book is my favourite of the series. The character development of both Blaze and Hannah was beautiful to see. Hannah with her insecurities and not feeling loved and Blaze with his idea that he was too much of a demon to love. I look forward to reading the next installment in this series.

Finally Blaze and Hannah have been that couple since the start of the series. You knew they were friends, the best of friends. You also knew they were more than friends we just didn't know when it would finally happen.
Finally Hannah is about to get a big wake up call but can her friends reach her, can Blaze make her realize he thought he was saving her from heartbreak by not giving into his feelings before, or will her insecurities get to her and take her away from the family who loves her.
While Hannah battles her purpose in the group and her insecurities how will Blaze keep his demons at bay without her calm to keep them caged.
There's a lot to unpack here and it's delicious, all of it. The crew, the races and everything you've come to expect from the series.
I have voluntarily left this review.

DAMN!!! That was HOT!!! Blaze and Hannah are everything! Their story was so damn entertaining, exciting, thrilling and utterly sexy. I could not get enough of these two. Their chemistry just oozed off the pages and had me literally melting into a puddle of goo.

My heart was ready to burst out of my chest from all the adrenaline pumping through my veins while reading this amazing story. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Buckle up and hang on tight because you are going to be taken on one hell of an intense and thrilling rollercoaster ride that you’re never going to want to get off of.

Emotional, action packed, suspenseful with all the angst and drama you could ask for. I just freaking loved this story and I can’t wait for Finish Line to come out!

Not memorable 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is the third book of the series and there some things I didn’t understand because I haven’t read the first 2.

I did enjoy the book, the spice was good and the story was fast paced and all, but for some reason it didn’t catch me, I was not hooked and skimmed a lot through it.

For me, this will not be a memorable read 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have been dying for Hannah and Blaze’s story since I met them in Redlined - once I dived in there was no coming up for air until the end.

Hannah is such a sweet and somewhat lost soul. I love her so much - her strength, loyalty, love and patience are at levels I admire.

Blaze is so much more than what I can put into words. He is damaged but doesn’t let it rule him. He loves with his heart and soul and his loyalty and bravery are so strong it hurts.

These two together are the ultimate friends to lovers/soulmates romance that I didn’t realize I was craving until I started reading. Their growth and development, not only as a couple but as individuals, is one of the best I have had the pleasure of reading. I loved how Hannah made Blaze prove that he was ready for a relationship with her and how he showed her how devoted he truly is to her. Neither one backs down and when these two collide it’s a fireworks show that left me fanning myself more than once. They made my heart hurt and then made me swoon so hard I nearly hurt other places.

I loved everything about this - the way Cala and Riley wrote this is flawless. I love this storyline so much and how they are able to continue it yet make each book its own with the different characters. The suspense, the heartache, the small wins in this huge battle, the panty melting/thigh clinching steam, the twists and the perfect amount of mystery had me glued to my kindle for a better part of my workday. They definitely did Blaze and Hannah justice while developing this amazing story built around the Shadow crew - my favorite one of the series so far. I can’t wait to see what these two talented Queens cook up for the next one.

thank-You

If this book wasn't a rollercoaster of emotions for me then I don't know what it was. I liked it and then I didn't like it only to like it again in the end. Tough shit friends.

In the beginning I was not the biggest fan of the plot because I thought that the heroine would be the typical doormat. You know.. these girls who accept everything and get wrecked all the time because they can't do otherwise.

Well Hannah seemed to be one of those. And I hated it. I mean I get it. You can't move on from Blaze because you love him even though he's basically a manwhore. But bitch please.. at least give him hell.

Because I don't want to be misunderstood I'll mention that Blaze doesn't cheat on Hannah at any point on this book. No. These two have some kind of a complicated relationship. If that is even a thing. They're basically best friends who want to fuck each other but of course.. THEY CAN'T.

Blaze thinks that Hannah deserves better so he "friendlists" her HARD and fucks around. Of course we hear excuses later of how he was always thinking about her while fucking the other girls.. Like ok. Shut up.

Now Hannah. She's in love with her best friend and even though she wants them to be something more she gets turned down again and again.

Of course Blaze is a man with a heavy past and emotional baggage so a girl can only do so much. Don't you love damaged characters?
If your answer was no then you're lying to yourself.

Deep inside me I can't blame Hannah for going through all this to have a chance with him. If you read the book you'll know what I mean. Blaze is unique in his own way.
He and his pain addiction, his knives, his dirty mouth and his obsession with chocking will have you orgasming.

At least he had me.

I felt kinda bad a couple times for Hannah because he was chocking her at the point where she started fainting but all I could think about was "choke that bitch".

Does that make me sound like a weirdo? Probably.
Do I give a fuck? No.

This book was pretty intense. Pretty crazy. Pretty wild.
But fuck if I didn't eat that shit up.

Going into this, you have to accept that these characters are not very normal but you will love them because they are exactly that. Not normal.

Shift is the kind of book I love to read during the lazy summer months. A storyline that is easy to follow despite the fact that I hadn't read books 1 and 2 in The Shadow Crew Series. Cala Riley is new to me and after this great tale, I do believe this talented duo has a new fan in me.

The story gets going right away and again, I never felt lost since I didn't know this Shadow Crew or how they came about. But the writing style of Cala Riley had me understanding most of what they are about and I appreciate that when jumping into an established series more than you can know. It's what most should expect when reading a standalone that is part of a group of books and Riley handles it perfectly.

Having all of the core members present and accounted for throughout, also helped me get a feel for what has already transpired and definitely assist Hannah and Blaze in their push and pull of a relationship. These besties need more than one nudge in the right direction to realize how well they fit together. We get a glimpse of the ongoing jealousy of what Hannah thinks Blaze is up to when he's not with her and with the reputation he has as a true player, I completely understood her hesitance into getting into a deeper kind of relationship with her guy. But their feelings are real and when things go a bit awry when the Crew is set up one night, it takes most of the book for Hannah to finally believe that Blaze was meant for her and that the Crew will forever have her back in spite of the fact that she has deep issues of abandonment inside her head.

It's not an easy road but Riley breaks up the tension between Hannah and Blaze with ongoing secrecy about what exactly is happening with the Crew and outsiders trying their best to ruin this amazing group. The other core members of the Crew add the right touch over and over again and I look forward to reading their stories in the prior two books, which are already out. This is a family in every sense of the word, no matter if they are blood-related or not. They are one heck of a bada$$ bunch and I really enjoyed being a part of their world.

Shift is a truly good book and I'm very happy to have discovered the work of Cala Riley and the incredible characters they have created in The Shadow Crew Series. With an ending that had my jaw dropping just a little bit since I'm still not up to speed as I've previously said wrt to this Crew, I look forward to the next and final book in this series and very gladly give Shift a solid 4 stars!

Hannah
I've been in love with Blaze Taylor for as long as I've always known him. I always hoped he felt the same, but the timing has never been right for us. Until it was. He broke my heart that night. I thought I could move past it, but mentally, I'm stuck. With the authorities pressing down on us, will I cave to my insecurities, or can I be strong enough for our crew?
Blaze
I know the minute I met Hannah Wheeler, that I loved her. I couldn't act on it though. She needed more than Good Time Blaze. She needed a friend. Family. Now, I'm desperate to make her mine for good, but she's resistant. Something's changed in her. Can I make her see that she's been the only one I love, or has our expiration date passed?

I wouldn't call this a dark book by any means. But there might be some subject matter in the book that will hold triggers for some readers. Heed the warnings.
In this book we are with Hannah and Blaze. She is a girl that I felt like was a little lost even down to her very soul. But, she is strong and fierce, loyal, patient and so loving. I really loved her and I just don't see how anyone would not fall for her. She has loved Blaze for a really long time.
Blaze is the good time party guy who is some what damaged but doesn't let it control his life. He has been equally in love with Hannah since the moment he first saw her. He really has a heart of gold and loves with everything in him and is so brave and also strong. We all need a Hannah and Blaze in our lives I feel like. There is some serious growth in these characters that you get to experience in this book. In their selves and with their friends and each other. There is nothing quiet as just fulfilling as making the man you love prove that he can handle a relationship with you and wants the same things. These two are pure fire!!! You are going to be hooked and not able to lay this book down.

⭐️Freaking Awesome Read!! ⭐️ Absolutely Love This Authors Books!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review

Cala Riley has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her Syndicates Series is my absolute favorite until I read Shift. OMG this book was absolutely fantastic. I still need to read the first two books in The Shadow Crew Series and I intend to ASAP.

This is Hannah and Blaze’s story and it’s an emotional rollercoaster not just for them and their struggles but also for their crew and the dangers that lurk in the shadows. Hannah has loved Blaze for as long as she can remember and the same can be said for Blaze and his love for Hannah but the code is ‘she’s either your woman or she’s part of the crew’ they let that build a wedge between them even though they had everyone’s blessing to be more to each other a few years later. Blaze never believed he was good enough for Hannah. His demons kept him from pursuing anything more with her afraid she wouldn’t be able to accept him and his darkness. As they work through their feelings they also have to keep on their toes and keep a rival crew from taking over their territory.

So many twists and turns and emotional ups and downs it keeps you engrossed and on the edge of your seat thru the whole book. I really loved the street racing crew aspect it’s a fantastic change from my norm of crime families and mafia families. I always loved watching and going to drag races when I was younger so I enjoyed this immensely. Highly recommended this book especially if you love strong characters who manage to work to their HEA which they got. But then Cala surprised us with an epic epilogue that left us with so many questions. Definitely can’t wait for the next book in this series!!!

HOLY HOTNESS!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Blaze and Hannah YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book is everything and more.....gah! I have been waiting for these two to get their heads out of their **** and finally get together and it did not disappoint! Hannah made Blaze work for it, but he needed that kick in the butt, and also can I just give him a big hug and hold him all night?!?!

Hannah and Blaze and both part of the Shadow Crew and have loved each other for years. They are scared to act on anything in fear of what it might do to the crew, but when Hannah gets arrested and pushes Blaze away because she has finally had enough is when Blaze realizes he can't live without Hannah. Blaze has some dark demons that he is worried about showing Hannah, but when you are with the person you are supposed to be with, nothing can scare them away.

I love how tough Hannah was in this book. She had some insecurities but she worked through them herself and did what was best for the club. And how she told Blaze off, yes girl!

The chemistry between these two is insane, and the sexy times...hot!!!

And Ms. Cala Riley you are getting dirty in this one....loved it!!

Be prepared for the ending...seriously?!?!

✨ ARC Review ✨

Shift by Cala Riley

——————————————————

“What was that, Blaze?” she whispers, looking me in the eye.
“I thought it was time everyone knew you were mine.”

——————————————————

⭐️: 4/5
🌶: 4/5

——————————————————

Cala Riley is 3/3 for this series. I have loved every book in the series so far. Roman and Roxy remain my favorite couple that we’ve read about.

This was Hannah and Blaze’s story, and it was probably the story I was most looking forward to. I needed to see when they finally pulled their heads from the clouds and admitted how they felt about each other. Honestly, Cala Riley took this in a direction I wasn’t really expecting. I absolutely enjoyed this story and the direction they ended up taking it. While I’m not a huge fan of Hannah’s, I absolutely loved Blaze. He’s the darkest crew member, and I’m totally here for it. I loved getting to know more about his background and what makes him tick. Roman may be my favorite of the series so far, but Blaze is definitely a close second. Ok, that cliffhanger though?? I’m 85% sure I know who the mystery man is and I NEED to know if I’m right.

If you’re looking for a crew best friends-to-lovers romance involving the crew’s enforcer and a woman riddled with insecurities, add Shift to your TBR!

Blaze this big beautiful carefree playboy who has let his love for his best friend stay on the back burner for far too long, afraid his demons would taint her is about to lose her. Hannah is this strong, fierce woman who has spent many nights and many years pining and crying over Blaze. They are best friends, yet soul mates who never want to hurt the other but that is all that seems to happen. When Hannah has finally had enough of Blaze’s ways she tries to move on with her life, but Blaze has decided he refuses to let her and even if his demon’s scare him she means more to him. They go back and forth for most of the book with Hannah not trusting Blaze and with Blaze trying to prove himself a changed man for her. At times I understood Hannah’s fears or pain, yet other times I felt she took them a little too extreme and hurt Blaze repeatedly just so he could feel her hurt too. Blaze was really putting in the effort and still was failing when it came to Hannah’s back and forth feelings towards him. Now with something major brewing to take their crew down not only do they have to figure their relationship out, but they also have to figure out how to help their family. This book was action packed, beyond steamy, and the connection between these two friends to lovers was undeniable.

Yes, my demons will still haunt me, but for her, I will fight each and every single one of them.

Shift has been one of my most anticipated reads since I Blaze first opened the door in Redlined. I have been rooting for him and Hannah and never gave up hope on them.... even when Cala Riley was being a big meanie tease saying they wouldn't be together. How rude, right?

The angst is real in this book because they toy with your emotions from the very beginning. There are times when you want to wrap both Hannah and Blaze up in blankets and never let them go. I had the best form of damn anziety attack while reading this book. It's hot AF, full of suspense, still has the banter we love about the Shadow Crew and peel back layers upon layers that is the intense connection between Hannah and Blaze.

Each heroine in this series is badass in their own way and Hannah is no different. And Blaze has a wonderful with words that will have you panting along side Hannah.

This is a bloody (if you know you know) good book! If you are a sucker for friends to lovers, like I am definitely grab this book.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review . This is book 3 in the Shadow Crew series. This one is by far my favorite  The main male character has a very dark side to him, and that’s just how I love them. He has just the right amount of darkness in him to be absolutely perfect for Hannah. Him and Hannah have been best friends for ten years, never giving in to their true feelings for one another. Deep down they both know they care deeply for one another, but neither know the extent of their feelings towards the other. Once they do, it’s game on. The spice is GOOOOOD. Being together is not without difficulty and complications, but I promise you, you will root for them so hard! Their chemistry is undeniable, especially to everyone around them.
I absolutely devoured this book, and it kept me on my toes until the very end. I 110% recommend this series to everyone ! I loved it so much. The characters are so easy to fall in love with and become obsessed with!
Everything about this book was fantastic. There is spice, a lot of it, suspense, and some angst! Please please read it! You will be addicted from book one!
And that ending , WILL LEAVE YOU REELING FOR MORE!

I DEVOURED THIS BOOK! This series is a such a great series to draw you in and have you sunk! I live for these characters!

Shift is a best friend to lovers, turf war, racing, and extra steamy chemistry type romance that will have you on the edge of your seat hanging on to every word. Hannah and Blaze have had such hard and troubling pasts that it has lead them to this point in their lives and they have some tough decisions to make. Their chemistry and connection to each other is undeniable and they truly have to fight for what they want. This crew is fully based on family and you can see how much each other mean to one another in this book.

This crew takes you on a wild ride that you don’t want to miss! I am extremely excited for Finish Line, the next book, to come out! I’m waiting patiently to get my hands on those words. I love this crew and I think others will too if they are given the chance! I definitely recommend for all to read this book and if you haven’t to start the series!

Shift has 💯 shifted up a gear with the third book in The Shadow Crew Series, this story is darker, the chemistry between our leading pair in this friends-to-lover romance even hotter than the previous couples, the intrigue and suspense even gritter guaranteeing that Shift is a must-read.

Each member of the crew has had a tough start in life, especially Hannah, so when Blaze introduced her to the crew 10-years-ago at 18, the pair kept their relationship in the friend's zone, or Blaze did, but Hannah just kept hers hiding, but the people and groups including law enforcement who want to take the Shadow's down are coming out of the woodwork at an alarming rate at a time when Hannah is doubting herself, and her place within the crew, the voices in Blaze's head keep telling him he could never be good enough for Hannah, so these two just keep circling each other, but like the races they take part in everything is about to speed up, the adrenaline is pumping hard, the excitement revving up but who will make it to the finish line in one piece?

Why is my heart breaking right off that bat with this book? This is finally Hannah and Blaze’s story. I know, sometimes its just too little too late, but I need to see these two work it out. I have been rooting for them since the first book in this series. Hannah is confused is just trying to figure out her place in the crew after all this time. She needs to know if her insecurities are real or just in her head. Blaze needs to stop being so scared and man up when it comes to Hannah. He needs to take and own what belongs to him. And that he does! For the love of…finally!

Each book in this series gave me more anxiety than the last. I wanted to scream at both Hannah and Blaze. Hannah for not telling the crew what was going on with the FBI, and Blaze for not claiming Hannah sooner. Hannah was on a mission to ruin herself. She thought she was helping, but got way in over her head. Things get so super sketchy that I really didn’t know what the outcome was going to be.

Blaze and Hannah’s story was suspenseful, angsty, and hot! Blaze has more kink and darkness than the other guys. I love all the couples in this series, but Blaze and Hannah will hold a special place in my heart.

(ARC REVIEW)

First, let me say this was a different type of read for me and I enjoyed it. Im was honestly glad I was approached with the opportunity to read this series from these authors.

Please note that this is book three of The Shadow Crew Series. This book could be read as a standalone but I do not recommend it at all because I feel like you would be lost. In the first and second books, you learn their dynamic and where Blaze and Hannah stand with each other. Once books one and two are read you are invested in their roles and end up having so many questions.

Blaze and Hannah have baggage from their past and it seriously stood out in this book. Honestly, my heart broke for them and the struggles they mentally battled. These two deserved a mom hug. Now let us discuss their intense chemistry because trust me it was insane. You felt the chemistry coming off the pages. I am pretty sure by the end of this book I developed a new kink. This is a must read series.

Shift is book 3 in The Shadow Crew Series, a book that i have been waiting on from the beginning!
Blaze and Hannah have that slow burn chemistry that has been building up over the past 2 Shadow books and its going to ignite!

The crew comes first, that is the rule they have lived by for years; they knew the score when Hannah joined and Blaze has stood by trying to juggle putting the 2 most important things in his life first. Rules are meant to be broken.

Hannah is tested to the limits while all those insecurities that they both have are coming to the surface ready to either make or break them.

I personally loved this story. Cala & Riley have done an amazing job of bringing these characters out from the shadows and showing us their true selves. I am so glad we had a build up to Blaze & Hannah.
