Quiet Voice Fearless Leader - 10 Principles For Introverts To Awaken The Leader Inside

Rate this book
Introverts are too quiet and too weak to lead. Have you ever thought this before?
What type of person comes to mind when you think of an introvert, and what type of person comes to mind when you think of a leader? The two words are rarely linked together. Society often labels people with introverted personalities as at least one of the following: quiet, shy, reserved, or timid. While at the same time leaders are described as dominant, passionate, outgoing, and ambitious.

But what if….society has it all wrong?

Quiet Voice Fearless Leader was written to challenge the misperception held by many, that introverts can not lead. Throughout this book not only will that myth be disproven, but in fact, the case is made that an introvert in many cases is the ideal leader. Within each chapter lies a core leadership principle along with multiple pillars, that when mastered will change your life forever. Topics covered include:

How introverts can add value to any room
How to grow in confidence as a public speaker
How to effectively lead teams as an introvert
How introverts can establish presence at work and in business
How to make difficult decisions as a leader
and much more.

If you have ever doubted yourself, or ever thought that you had to be extroverted to be successful, then this book was made with you in mind. It’s time to awaken the leader inside because the truth is; your introversion is your superpower.

There are definitely some nuggets of wisdom here; maybe a great starter book. The author often went off on bunny trails about different business ventures or life experiences that, in my opinion, didn’t touch much on being in leadership as an introvert. That said, the author is likable and offers up life stories that could be especially valuable to young adults.

" Quiet Voice Fearless Leader : 10 Principles For Introverts To Awaken The Leader Inside " written by Terrance Lee is a book that I'm loving more than I thought I would. I don't usually like non-fiction a whole lot, but this book is like a warm hug, a pat on the shoulder, a reassuring smile and more in book form for any introvert who has ever been made to feel like they are less... I guess it's clear that I'm an introvert. I have so many memories of trying to be more upbeat, more social, more outgoing. I always felt I was less because I wasn't like most of my friends in that aspect. It's only in recent years that I realized I'm just wired different and that there is nothing wrong with being an introvert. And this book helps paint an even prettier picture of introverts having their own strengths and have insightful thoughts that how an introvert can grow and become a great leader. This book is about how you can become a great leader by following some strategies, and all those strategies are explained in detail in the book.

The best thing about a book is that everything is explained in simple and effective way that makes it easier to understand, remember and relate.

I highly and highly recommend this book to each of you. This is a very insightful and helpful book that I enjoyed and benefited from.

Go and grab your copies .

Being an ambivert, I know the feeling of both and extrovert and an introvert,so reading "Quiet Voice Fearless Leader",by Terannace Lee, a total bliss and mostly relatable. To be true,I always kinda love the vibe I get from an introvert. I mean the way they speak less and try to understand you more, its like they are trying to absorb and analyse your whole personality. I always find their aura very appealing and strong in a way,if that makes sense.Okay!!! I will stop babbling about my own experience and thoughts now,and start my review.
We all know our typical society, being an ambivert I am not so bold and not so shy,it depends on the situation actually, but I know the feeling I get when I find myself less confident, when the introvert part of me takes the whole stage. Leading the stage that time really becomes a little problematic, expressing myself becomes a little difficult that time.
Our society thinks an introvert can only lead the backstage and never come out as a leader, offcourse I know this is not true. Being a leader is not at all depends on your being an introvert or extrovert,it depends on your thoughts and feelings. A leader should have the quality of observing and analysing, and who can do this in the best way, rather than an introvert,so they are already a born leader,I believe we all are,but even the born leader needs a little bit of finishing.
So the author has given a total ten principles,to awaken the leader inside you. Its not a total mantra, but helps alot. He has tried to give logic of every facts he has said. I totally understand and agreed with the most of the part. Right from the writing style and the gripping narrative way,I totally loved the book. Especially the expressive way of his facts, shows the immense experience he has.

Do give it a read if you want to read something unique and mind boggling. Highly recommended from my side.

Shy. Antisocial. Awkward. These are just some of the words used to describe introverts. But as a mother of three introverted children, I can tell you that while they might be a little on the shy side, they are definitely not antisocial or awkward.

Introverts have gotten a bad rap and are sorely mislabeled, but this book will offer anyone who reads it a paradigm shift on their views of introverts. You will find out that not only do introverts make great leaders but in a lot of cases they make better leaders than extroverts. Their quietness is their power, not their weakness. They're not socially awkward, they're observers. They're not antisocial, they actually have a lot to say.

But many people will never know this because of the lens through which they view introverts, which has been clouded with wrongly placed labels.

Terrance Lee, an introvert, shows fellow introverts how to see their personality as a strength, not a weakness. With authenticity and confidence, he redefines this misunderstood community and shows that having an introvert on your team is not only invaluable but necessary. Introverts offer key insights into group dynamics, have unique approaches to problem-solving, and can lead a team just as effectively as any extrovert.

Lee not only shows his humanness by laying bare mistakes he has made, but he gives plans of action for introverts to follow to begin their path to leadership and shares key insights about the introvert mind through segments at the end of each chapter called "What Introverts Wish Extroverts Knew."

This book is an excellent self-help guide for introverts to step into their power. It is a manual for extroverts on how to better utilize the introverts on their team. It's even a guide to parents who have introverted children. It's a resource for friends who have introverts in their circles.

Bottom line, it's a book that needs to be read no matter who you are.

Most introvert people are seen as dubs and cowards in society, and introvert nature is considered a weakness. But the author in the book shows how having introverted people on or around you is not only important but priceless. The book describes the talents of introverts how they not only have a different perspective to solve problems but can better lead their team just like other extroverts leaders. This book will be a boon to all introverts who underestimate themselves and are not using their practical abilities efficiently. This book is a great guide and the book has 10 chapter 10 written like stairs to learn the qualities of leadership by reading and incorporating them into your personality.

What I liked about this book-

1. The book has a very good structure which makes it easy to follow.
2. A step by step guide on preparing and growing on your leadership plan.
3. Author Terrence Lee also helps you understand yourself in a better way.

A must read for all my fellow introverted teenagers! It'll help you to embrace your introversion and show you how your quiet nature can be a hidden Power. If it is your first non fiction book then don't hesitate because its actually very interesting. It has so many things which will help you to find your way and be more confident to the introverts in this noisy world.

It's about time we have information about the quiet ones!!! This book opens the vista of knowledge regarding the value of the introvert. It can help a person better understand both themselves and the others they interact with.

There are a lot of good techniques here for all who want to develop leadership qualities that make a lot of sense and can be used straight away. Most are relatively short and easy to dip in and out of. I appreciate that the purpose of the book is most likely just that...a book of tips and tricks, but the book could be so much more if there was a little more context behind it.

This book is divided into 10 sections and each section has several chapters, all about the main subject of the section. What I like best about this book is that it doesn't encourage introverts to wallow in their quietness and disengage at all. Instead, it encourages them to find the courage and be confident, to find ways to be comfortable expressing themselves and offers strategies to do it their quiet way while still getting ideas across without negating the needs and equal value of extroverts.

Enjoy this book as it is providing a great deal of insight into introversion. I highly recommend this book to all for understanding about quiet children and for them to understand their power as well.

Our society has placed extroverts as a golden standard: parents, schools, and employers expect a child/a person to be outgoing, confident, and sociable. Contributing to the discussions, taking an initiative, competitiveness, and being good at leadership seem to be a must for a bright future.

I also used to think the same but luckily, I came across a wonderful book Quiet Voice Fearless Leader: 10 Principles For Introverts To Awaken The Leader Inside by Terrance Lee.

The book does not only explain the nature of introverts and helps to understand their character better, but also gives practical advice on how to make sure you help introverts not to go against their nature but let them flourish their leadership qualities by following easy strategies.

For me, this book was such an eye-opener to understanding, not just introverts, but myself as an extrovert. I could not put the book down once I started it and I would recommend everyone to read it - I've recommended it in my book club at work. Don't assume, as I did, that only introverts will have something to take from this book.

Interesting, thoughtful, readable, and inspiring – the kind of book that leaves you thinking about it a long time after you’ve shut it.

Title - Quiet Voice Fearless Leader : 10 principles for introverts to awaken the leader inside
Author - Terrance Lee
Genre - Non fiction
Pages - 230
Format - kindle

As the title suggests this book is a helpful guide for introverts to awaken their leadership. Through this book the author has negotiated with the myth that introverts can't lead. But according to him introverts in many cases is the best leaders. The book has provided us 10 principles which are enough to change the life of introverts.

The author has very well explained each and everything by giving suitable examples of his family. Introversion is not a negative thing but it provides the strength to our character. This book is a booster to our voice. I liked the topic 'How to grow in confidence as a public speaker?'

Language used is simple and lucid. Writing style is amazing. The flow of the book is well paced. The content of the book is really relatable to most of us.

Overall, an amazing read.

It is a well-written book, nicely divided into parts and chapters which make it more readable. The content is very well researched and written with minimal jargon making it an easy read.

Before investing in this book, I was apprehensive about the content. I thought that I would find this undigestable and bland. On the contrary, I am glad that I bought this book! It does not even tell about that an introvert in many cases is the ideal leader
but also tells about pragmatic approaches on how an introvert can grow as a leader.

Reading the book certainly adds a lot to your confidence and understanding of different aspects of your life if you are an introvert.
This book is a must-read for all breeds of readers so that they understand their inner self better or for them to get a hang of the other half population of the world.

I highly recommend this book to all those looking out to develop Leadership skills, presenting skills, and communication skills as well.

“It doesn’t matter who you are, where you came from. The ability to triumph begins with you. Always.”

The book gives the reader positivity and inspiration to find the leader within yourself. There are always two types of people around us- extroverts and introverts.

Each person has his own quality and state of mind. Being special or a leader in front of others is not necessary to prove yourself. If you are strong enough then you are able to show up the leader qualities you have.

Extroverts are mostly bounded by people around them but who knows, what are they from inside. Introverts are always alone but when it comes to leadership and motivation they are the one who are admired by everyone.

A book written by the author to make everyone understand that for finding a leader you need to first find your own strength and the qualities you have.

A must read book to find the leader within yourself and motivate yourself from within.

This book provides guiding principles on ethical and effective leadership, all from an introvert’s perspective. Introverts are prone to an honest approach, which is among their strengths. The author may have set out to write a book about leadership, but he really ended up writing an abridged memoir. As an introvert, the author’s mental space resonated. I enjoyed the backstories, even when they were out of place. By the end, I had gleaned less about leadership and more about the person behind the pillars of value, courage, trust, accountability, humility, authenticity, collaboration, confidence, service and effort. I appreciated the author’s sense of family legacy and his pursuit of honor.

Overall this was a good leadership book in general. While the author mentions that they are an introvert and discusses many of their personal experiences I don’t know that it translates well into offering methods for one to turn their own quiet nature into leadership potential. It does give methods such as, making smart goal and seeking out mentors, to help anyone develop their leadership potential. But being an introvert it’s hard to approach people to ask them to mentor you. Would have liked more tips on working through those issues.

Every leader should read this. Terrance doesn’t just talk to introverts, he talks to everyone. I’ve read tons of leadership books, even authored some professional papers on it. This is one of the best I’ve read. The humble approach he uses really encourages anybody, introvert or not, to open their eyes to a different perspective. It’s excellent, refreshing, and a must have for leaders at any level. Add it today. You won’t regret it!

inspired

The author guides the reader on an exploratory journey that allows the reader to identify introvert qualities within themselves, and develop respect for this personality type. As a fellow introvert it is a great spotlight that allows you to see all that can be accomplished, despite society saying”introverts” are too quiet to lead.

This book provides excellent coverage of an often overlooked practice in the work place. It helps prove why some of a company's best assets may be underutilized and underappreciated. I would recommend this book to anyone that manages other and to any HR professional.

There were areas that I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, they were often entwined with a bunch of stories and a bit of rambling. I felt like I was reading a thesis. It could have been condensed. I didn't hate it. I didn't love it. As an introvert, it felt like stuff I have heard before.

Heavily autobiographical and ultimately irrelevant to the topic at hand, with a stronger focus on personal business pursuits than on actionable leadership tactics for introverts.

I liked how the author not only was showing examples and encouraging introverts to embrace who they are and remind us we can in fact lead, in our own ways, but he also reminded extroverts that just because someone is quieter, doesn't mean they have nothing to say or input.
I think the book is a good intro to extroverts on just how valuable an introvert can be to a team. Good tips and explanations and examples 👍
