What's More Romantic than Falling in Love on a Covered Bridge?

Boston financial district star Emily England has never forgotten her teenage dream of romance on a bridge. When a covered bridge comes up for sale in rural Vermont, she jumps at the chance to buy it—who cares what it costs? She’s got plenty saved and prospects for a great year ahead.

Maybe her charming boyfriend will even propose to her on her newly purchased bridge and make her first-snowfall wish come true.

But things go sideways at her firm and with her boyfriend, and Emily finds herself back in the countryside indefinitely. Now, she's living just across the bridge from a generous and ridiculously handsome sugar-maple orchard owner—and she can’t seem to keep her eyes off him.

Maplebrook Bridge is book 3 in the Snowfall Wishes series by USA Today bestselling clean romance author Jennifer Griffith. The Snowfall Wishes series is three friends, one first snowfall, and three wishes for true love.

I love a story that ends with a kiss, whether it's a book or a movie. That's the big payoff! So that's the kind of books I like to write, and I call my style "cotton candy for the soul"-- light, sweet, gone. We all need a little escape from reality for a while, and escapist fiction can be the perfect remedy.

I'm a moderately bad housekeeper, I have a black thumb, and it takes a small miracle to get my hair to curl. My handsome husband and I live in the Arizona desert where we're raising our five children, who never let us stop laughing.

Wishes do come true

I love the magical feeling of the first snowfall of the year and this series focuses on a friend group who made wishes as teens. Emily is the last of the group to find love and her wish was a kiss on a covered bridge. This high-powered business woman takes matters into her own hands when she actually buys a bridge and all sorts of fun and swoon result.

The thing I love best is the way this story shows that a crazy busy life can give way to something more meaningful and simpler. It was a treat to watch Emily slow her pace down and focus on things that really matter and not all the superficial bling. Small town life suits her well and I swooned over Buzz and his selfless, gentlemanly ways, as he worked to make her cottage livable.

With a nod to astronauts, covered New England bridges, character selflessness that almost cancels each other out, and undeniable attraction, this is a story to remember.

This is such a fun series when three friends have their First Snowflake wishes come to pass. This is book three in the series and Emily England has watched her two other friends get their wishes fulfilled not exactly as they had first wishes but pretty close. Her wish all those years ago was to find romance on a covered bridge. When she discovers that one is for sale in Vermont, she knows she needs to purchase it. Now if she can get her boyfriend to propose on that bridge her wish would come true. Unfortunately she finds out some things about him and the company she works for that has her hiding out in rural Vermont.
Emily may discover that her wish can still come true as she makes friends with the handsome guy across from the bridge that is running a sugar maple orchard. He steps in to help her renovate the small cottage that came with the bridge. He is such a man of integrity and generosity that she comes to appreciate as they work and eat together every day.

As their relationship gets deeper- the troubles from her job find her and try to destroy her dream that was just about to come true.

I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.

The First Snowfall Wish Series by Jennifer Griffith has been a fun one from the first to this third one. Still Maplebrook Bridge (Book 3) is my favorite of them all. I enjoyed getting to know Emily England or sometimes France depending on who you were asking. She has been betrayed by a couple of key players in her life so trust comes hard for her. However, she confident, bold, and honest; admirable traits. While Buzz eels as if he is not hero matter, I beg to differ.

The book has a light touch to a serious issue of trust. It also a small community of quirky characters that you come to find more likable than nosy but they are that too. With all the feels, I felt as if I was right there with the characters on the sugar maple farm, enjoying my stay as much as Emily did. The ending is wonderful making this one fabulous read.

I highly recommend Maplebrook Bridge for anyone who needs their spirits lifted today.

The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

MY TAKE
I've been enjoying the series, but this book really resonated with me. Maybe it's the girl hiding out trope or the farmer falling for the slick city gal (of course, he's a former astronaut candidate and engineer).

I loved both Buzz and Emily, and my heart broke for both of them as they come to the dark moment. It's a beautiful resolution.

She’s Holding Out for a Hero

I loved the first two books, but this one is my favorite. Shh! Don’t tell the others.

Emily is all work and no play until she discovers some back door dealing going on at her investment firm. She goes into hiding. Luckily she just purchased a covered bridge in the country. The cottage that comes with it is frankly, scary, but her neighbor Buzz is able to help her make it inhabitable. He might be able to help her with her snowfall wish too.

I loved Emily and Buzz. I loved seeing her get away from her high stress environment and accomplish new things. Buzz was a broken hero and a sweetheart. I loved the chemistry, the setting, and the sweet romance.

I’m glad we’ll have one more Snowfall Wish story. These books are magical!

Content: clean (some kissing, no violence, no language)

Cute and quick read. I have enjoyed the idea of the snowfall wishes in this series. Is that a real thing or the invention of the author? Either way, it is a fun premise for a series. I liked the characters and their devotion in helping the other regardless of how it negatively effected them. I enjoyed that this romance also had an element of intrigue as the catalyst for the romance. The only thing that could have added to my enjoyment of this story would be to see the scene showing what happens to Emily's ex and boss. It wasn't necessary to the story but it would have been satisfying for my little vindictive heart to see. :)

No sex, language or violence

Maplebrook Bridge by Jennifer Griffith (4.5 stars)

Another wonderfully romantic addition to the series!

The main characters have been hurt before, so they are vulnerable as well as extremely likable and the plot is believable. There are also some great side-characters. A maple orchard and a covered bridge give it uniqueness.

*spoiler alert*
The loss of half a star because the hero pays off his loan with cash and no one records the payment or gives him a receipt or any proof that it was paid in full. The bad guys could claim that he hadn’t paid them and he wouldn’t have a leg to stand on. (Other than that, I LOVED this plot!)

A truly enjoyable addition to the series!

A lovely, romantic story about a workaholic named Emily and a maple tree orchard owner. Emily buys a covered bridge and shack next door to Buzz's farm. When she has to go into hiding after her company's owner and boyfriend try to make it look like she did insider trading she relies on Buzz to get her cottage in shape. Buzz has big problems of his own but he helps her and they start dating. When Emily is blackmailed by her boss and ex boyfriend she flees. Buzz will valiantly come to her rescue.

How did your snowfall wish turn out?
Have you ever made a snowfall wish? The kind you make on the very first snowfall of the season. The second you see a snowfall, grab that first snowflake and make a wish on love. It’s been said that they really do come true. Well, it came true for Emily and her two friends. However, Emily’s wish come true was hard fought and won. This was such an entertaining read I couldn’t stop reading until the end.

My Covered Bridge

What a covered bridge For Sale! I need to bye it. My Snowfall wish is to be kissed on a bridge. Then to get engaged on the bridge. Perfect to get Jason to do both and my wish will come through. I must buy it. Jennifer
has done it again. Her style of writing
gives us candy fluff to her stories.
Well written story with strong and believable characters. Can't wait to read the next book. joy943

Maplebrook Bridge is an absolute delight! I love that Emily bought her own covered bridge. She and Buzz were made for each other. I always enjoy Ms. Griffith's books, but this one has to be my favorite. I love the town and its people. The courtroom scene is sheer genius and the ending is perfect. You do not want to miss reading this well written book.

Best ever

What a great story this one is! I have read all three of the series back to back and what a true delight they have been. As all of Jennifer Griffith books are these stories are sigh worthy and lingering happy feelings and I am anxious for the next book in the series. Great job!

So. Good.

What more is there to say? The book was a joy to read with swoon-worthy kisses and finding true love. Emily and Buzz were so cute together, and I enjoyed rooting for them and their HEA.

Good read!

I enjoyed this book. It was a good love story between two people who probably would’ve never met except for one’s love for covered bridges. Lots of great ideas characters, and a couple of real low life forms.

“And … whats the catch?”

“And … what’s the catch?” She seemed like she was used to catches, like she’d been reading the fine print all her life."
No fine print here. This is a delightfully cozy story.

Emily's dream is about to come true, well part of it. Buzz is smitten the moment he sees Emily and she is not far behind him. Her boyfriend - not really a love triangle (hate those) - is UGH. Great descriptions that made me feel like I was there with the characters - I even got chills from the cold while reading this book. There is a time in the book that had me biting my nails but in the end it all worked out. LOVED LOVED the ending. So very romantic.

Good clean read. Interesting main characters, written in back to back POV. Has more sad than happy or content moments.
