SAM
When the monsters came, I lost all hope.
None of us expected we would get help.
That we would be saved…
And that help would come from a most unlikely source.

The Vullan are huge. Scary.
They look like demons…yet, they saved us.
They saved me.

But the fight isn’t over yet. We’re still being invaded.
Destroyed.
I have to focus on surviving and helping the Vullan save my planet…my race.
There is no space for any other thoughts.
So why do the eyes of a certain demon catch my gaze?
And why doesn’t his attention make me want to flee?

GA'VAR
The little female is tenacious but that does not erase that fact that she is…little.
Smaller than the others.
Too small for bonding. That alone should dissuade me.
Yet, she draws my attention.
And when she sticks out that tiny pink tongue of hers right at me, I know I cannot stop the wheels she set in motion.
Whether she likes it or not, I want her even if I must not have her.
When the scourge that has invaded her planet come to get her, my decision is easy.
They will not take what is mine.

Enjoyable, but a little too similar to the first book in the series.

Earth is invaded by monstrous aliens who consume everything in their way (think war of the worlds), until the Vullan, a race of fearsome reptile-like warriors, arrive to save humanity.

M/f - darkish sci-fi romance
Reptile-like
Symbiotes
Size difference
Soul-tie/soul mates

This was another good addition to the series I think it had a slight edge for me on its predecessor but I’ve rated them both fairly similarly. I was incredibly intrigued with the whole plot concept for this series it very much gives off a war of the world vibe which totally managed to grab my attention. So If you like post-apocalyptic and alien romance this one is sure to be a hit. This manages to take what we were given in book one and further build and expand on it. The world-building is stepped up here and greatly expanded on.

This begins at Base Zero a camp underground where the Vullan are hiding and preparing for conflict with the alien invaders the Gryken. Also under Vullan protection is a small band of rescued human females though they are understandably wary and frightened of the strange alien males in their midst and for the most part, give them a wide berth. With food running low for the humans a trip outside is needed to gather supplies Sam along with a Vullan named Ga’Var are amongst the small party selected splitting up into pairs they then find themselves separated and stranded outside after a Scrit is spotted and Sam is injured.

Ga’Var has been watching the small human female there’s just something about her that draws his attention though he’s also determined to stay away believing her too small to be compatible and though wary Sam is equally fascinated. Being forced into close proximity and with danger surrounding them, the two naturally succumb to their mutual attraction. The romance is slow-burn but the chemistry here was off the charts the relationship developing absolutely charming and these two made such an adorable pair.

I loved all the cultural misunderstandings and tentative overtures. There were some outside dangers and this one did feel slightly darker in overtone than the first mostly because of the danger and base human nature. The romance though isn’t dark it’s the situations here that are. Overall this really was a great read with an engaging plot a hot alien romance with some excellent world-building. I definitely recommend reading if this genre is your jam it’s definitely one of the better ones on offer.

The Captured Earth series continues to be a darker themed sci-fi romance with a good balance of danger, action, and steam. While there are some similarities between the couples in book 1 and this book (alien male, human woman; mates; bonding), Sam and Ga'var's circumstances and relationship develop in their own unique way and I loved them together. They're also different in personality from book 1's main characters, who are the group's leaders, although both are focused on defeating the enemy aliens and the success of their group. Ga'var is also protective, as are all the Vullan males.

In Base Zero, the mixed group is in relative safety, but need to work on food sources for the rescued humans while the Vullans also work on developing weapons to defeat the Grykens. With this in mind, Sam and Ga'var are among some that leave the safety of the base to search and then things go wrong. Along with them learning how well they work together and delving into their mutual attraction, we also learn more about how the outside world is developing post-alien invasion and it's not great. There are more dangers than the Grykens, but no worries because those evil guys are still very much a danger and we see them in action in new horrifying ways. The next books in the series are likely going to have more battling I imagine.

This story was also told in first person, dual POV, and no ow/om drama. The steamy times happen more in the latter part of the book but are plenty steamy along with the alien "equipment". There's also a bit of a size difference mentioned with Sam being on the smaller side and Ga'var, being larger. Neither appeared to be virgins, but no details of sexual history that I can recall. I'm enjoying this series for something different in my alien romance reads.

I said I probably wouldn't read the second book when I reviewed the first...and here I am. 😬

So, I can happily say it didn't drag like the first. It also felt a little more balanced in how the story was told. I was able to connect better with the FMC Sam more than I did Adira in book one. Although, she also read flat at times too.

Personally, I prefer a little more backstory and insight into the main characters and sadly just from these two books I'm thinking it isn't this authors style. So, because of this issue I don't feel much for the characters.

Anywhooo! I thought Ga'var was interesting, much like Fer'ro was. I think he handled his relationship a little better with Sam than Fer'ro did with Adira. Though he handled her with kid gloves to such a degree it went from sweet to stupid before long. Especially because it led to him not outright explaining how the mating process works with their ba'clan and all that jazz. So, she isn't told till the very very end that they're actually mated for like ever. Which frustrated me tbh.

I find the entire set up of how the author chose to present the matings ridiculous if I'm honest. The fact Adira kept everything to herself is super frustrating because it's valuable info to share among these frightened women especially when they could be mates to other alien dudes too. Honestly, why does Adira never share any of her knowledge! Especially because now after learning from her own mating she understands the intricacies and mating rituals of the Vullan and how their females would attract males. And this chick never once thought it would be helpful to explain to these women, who if you'll remember are traumatized and still distrustful and scared of the Vullan, that little acts of kindness that seem average to us mean "hey let's fuck" to the Vullan. Like, gee, I dunno offering food. That means...you guessed it! That you're broadcasting you want them in your "feathers" aka your bed.

Literally no one can rationalize the logic behind keeping this info to yourself. I understand keeping the truth about the ba'clan on the down low considering it's an actual sentient being and not alien technology like they seem to think. Makes sense. But hey, maybe explain how these dudes have different kinds of dicks and that they are sexually compatible? And that they protect and revere females? Or maybe a crash course on what not to say to them unless you truly are interested in them sexually???

I just.. the idiocy. But yeah, that alone will keep me from reading the rest of the series.

I will say it was better than book one. Sam was more interesting than Adria. I still think these books read a little lifeless. I just didn't feel any true emotions from either book. I do see the potential and IT IS a unique story with different characters. So, pluses there. I'm just not a fan.

Quick(ish) Review

What do you get if you cross Venom, Predator and make him hot? You get The Vullan. In particular, in this entry you get Ga'Var, an alien race who came to Earth chasing after another alien race that destroyed their world. Unfortunately, they were too late to stop the devastation here, but they are working on a plan to destroy the Big Bad aliens that are in the process of stripping Earth of everything - plants, animales, people, you name it.

This is where he meets Sam, one of the human females being gathered up to breed the Big bad big headed alien babies, in the very rapey, horrible, dying during the birth, not the romantic-y kind of alien. Any-whoozie, yes lots o' danger, forced proximity, and eventually, romance happens.

Now, this story has some similarity to the first book but it does do its job in expanding the 'verse, bringing in more characters and setting up for the conflict with the Big Bads and the Vullan/human alliance. It's got some humor from misunderstandings, some sexy times and yet it's still kind of dark and not on the lighter side of SFR. Basically, it's a reminder that when things go sideways, humans can be just as nasty to each other as aliens from another planet. But I digress.

I'm enjoying myself, I liked this entry to the series, and I am definitely interested in what's going to happen next.

Still very happy with the way the story is progressing, happy with the new couple and the straightforward development and storytelling with lots of tension and moments where nibbling is a sign of nervousness and joyful anticipation.
So, am still hooked 🪝 and using the momentum to turn to Cataclism (#3).

Same as the first one, what I would like to say about this one is:

I thought this female lead was gonna be weak, but she showed me a lesson. She is not as strong as the first lead in the first book, but she is strong in her own right.

AND THAT IS ALL I ASK IN MY READS

Please and thank you. *drops mic*.

Was this a novella? My e-reader says it's 251 pages but I blew through it in a few hours. There's no way it's full length, I mean I read fast, but not THAT fast. 🤔

Because this felt like a novella (it has to be) I didn't have time to get attached to the characters. There were a few moments of peril where I was genuinely concerned for Sam, and I enjoyed being in her head, but the story blew by so quickly!

Ga'Var is pretty much just like his brother - and Sam is basically Adiera with a major in... plants... I kinda thought her knowledge would pay off more in the story but it was kinda' a footnote that wound up being little more than a plot device.

The initial sex scene between the two MC's was almost a carbon copy of the one in the first book and after that I just skimmed the others.

They're all like:

Long tongues - TONS of licking - male parts that are literally the size of a human baby. 🤕 Birth in reverse? No thanks. This is not hot to me. It sounds like agony and smells like saliva and it just makes me shudder... not in a good way.

And idk, the story is feeling very repetitive with a few fun spins to it. I really liked the way Sam and Ga'Var interacted before the sex, after the cave. I also liked the element of bad humans being scattered through the middle of the story. But... 😮‍💨 Except for maybe four scenes, 🤔 Base Zero was VERY much like book one.

You only need to know a few things before reading the next book in the series and that's making me extremely reluctant to continue reading.

I wanted Mina's story though! That poor girl has been sitting in a coma for too long, and I WANT to know what happens to her, but not if her story is just gonna be a copy/paste of the first two books.

😭 I'm feeling torn.

Wanna skip book two? I can fill you in.

*spoilers below*

*like, the entire book.*

*seriously, stop here if you don't want spoilers*

⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️

The squid aliens stop their giant War of the World's ship above Base Zero and GET OUT! Idk why, that's never explained, but Sam and Ga'Var are stuck outside the base. They have the same sorta interactions as Adiera and Far'ro in book one. Sam hurts her leg, Ga'Var licks it and they have sex. His baklava (whatever they're called) get on her and refuse to leave. Both of them are clueless... just like book one.

Ga'Var goes out to scout the area and while he is gone he sees the squid aliens tromping around.

Sam is alone in their little camp and two human males find her, and put a collar on her. She fights back but isn't amazing at it, and the other humans in the group (all good) tell her just to let it happen.

Ga'Var comes to the rescue, kills one bad guy. The other runs off - and Ga'Var gets a quick meet and greet with the other humans

Jillian is in her 40's or 50's and was "giving herself" the two awful men in her group to rape her. She wanted to spare the two younger girls from being abused as often.

Dejah... I know nothing about her other than the fact that she has dark skin.

Lilly - is maybe Jillian's daughter.

Hopefully I'm getting these names right. They're barely in the book.

There was also a young guy, Billy, who wanted to protect the girls but he was being beaten by the two hick rapist brothers and couldn't do anything but be nice and afraid.

The bad rapist who ran off comes screaming into their midst with 🐙 squids 🐙 hot on his tail. Ga'Var puts Sam in a tree and she begs him to save the good humans while one of the squids feasts on the hick rapist.

Ga'Var kills one but the other mind bends his way into controlling Ga'Var's body and he is moments away from death before Sam jumps out of the tree and kills the squid. In mid-leap she learns to connect with and utilize her baklava- pretty much figures out she is mated with Ga'Var and accepts that she loves him.

They all head back to Base Zero, pass the War of the World's machine and low! It has spread read, blood filled veins into the earth!

Where have I seen this before? 🤔 Oh yeah:

*insert war of the world's gif here*

They go back to the cave. That one white alien guy with the squid tentacles on his face made a cool new gun and that's it. That's pretty much all you need to know. I'm sure I left something out, but honestly, it's quite likely to be repeated in book three, so yeah... enjoy! 😚😆

I have lower standards for what I consider "palate cleanser" books, but with that comes a lower tolerance for nonsense. 65% of the way in, this book includes some really gnarly misogyny and sexual assault allusions that were just not at all necessary or worth it for a sub-par run-of-the-mill alien fucking book. That, coupled with a rough audiobook narrator and plot inconsistencies (why do the aliens know human slang like "fair enough"?'), and I'm putting down these books hard with a bad taste in my mouth.

I think I like this one better than book 1! This is a slowish/medium burn. The book takes place only over a few days I believe. So although the burn is slow, it is also fast if that makes sense? I really enjoyed this one and I love the dark vibes I get. I love seeing the alien bad guys and the state of the world outside of their little cave bunker. Very good, definitely reading book 3!

This lacked a bit of the danger and thrill the first one had. Don’t get me wrong. This world is VERY much still dangerous and scary. But since we know who the good guys are, they aren’t that scary.

Still loving these venom-esque dudes though😎

I liked this one....just not nearly as much as the first. One of the things that really bugged me was that for the entirety of the first book Ga'var wanted Adira for himself and was super jealous that his brother mated her. But now, because she's completely unavailable, it's like he's just latched onto the next female to look his way. I also liked so much more how the ba'clan from Fer'ro went to Adira on their own, instead of here where Ga'var willed them over to Sam.

It has been a short time since our group settled into base zero. The Vullan are hard at work mining for the minerals that they need and the humans are....well...kind of just hanging around and putting all of them on edge. Unfortunately, pretty much the only thing that they have found for the humans to eat is fish, and their supply is running low. The odd doctor has developed something that is supposed to hide the energy signature of humans so a small party is formed to go outside and try to find anything to eat they can. It's Fer'ro, Adira, Sam, and Ga'var. To cover more ground, they split up. Things start well enough for Ga'var and Sam, but they end up caught in a landslide. It's then that Ga'var sends some of his ba'clan to Sam so that she doesn't suffocate. Sam is also hurt during this so eventually they migrate to her injury. Normally, they would head back to base, but one of the enemies has literally planted themselves right in their path. So Ga'var does what he has to do to protect Sam until she's better.

As it always goes at this point in a book like this, during this time these two get closer and Sam's fear of Ga'var turns into full blown attraction towards him. For a guy who was so absolutely certain that he could never claim Sam, it sure didn't take a lot to change his mind. Honestly, this whole section of the story being just the two of them was interesting, but it also wasn't all that exciting. Things picked up when Ga'var was out scouting and Sam gets discovered and accosted by a "clan" of humans. Basically it was just two really nasty men who used fear and guns to control another guy and three other women. And ooph does it really highlight the selfishness of humanity. Ga'var gets back just in time to deal with the scum, but this new group is hardly safe. The Gryken are acting completely out of character and two of them have even left their ship to walk on the planet. Which leads to a fight, bloodshed, death, and one of the females running away. But all the important people make it and make it back to the base. Where Adira drops a bomb on Sam the moment she sees her new black suit assuming that Ga'var had already told her. Oops. Sam takes it all in stride though and is happy to have Ga'var at her side in the future.

I'll be jumping right into the next one, I'm just hoping it'll be a little more exciting.

Base Zero de A.G. Wilde serie Captured Earth libro 2

Argumento:

Sam

Cuando llegaron los monstruos, perdí toda esperanza.

Ninguno de nosotros esperaba recibir ayuda.

Que seamos salvados...

Y esa ayuda vendría de la fuente más improbable.

Los Vullan son enormes. Aterradores.

Parecen demonios... sin embargo, nos salvaron.

Me salvaron.

Pero la lucha aún no ha terminado. Todavía estamos siendo invadidos.

Destruidos.

This series is just so good and I’ve been in a bit of a slump so I’m going RIGHT TO the next book! Not many series make me want to read books back to back like that anymore, but this one really does it for me.

The mixture of intense romance/attraction mixed with all the life and death situations they’re dealing with, all of the despair that comes with living in this apocalyptic world, just draws you in and captures your attention. It’s hard to look away. The Vullan are quite alien and I love how that’s been shown in each book so far, especially with some moments that make them feel more human as well, just showing that even though they’re aliens they’re also quite similar to us.

Sam is a fun character to follow, easy to care about as we saw how much she suffered in the first book and now how she’s dealing with the trauma. Strong and reliable, she really pulls herself together when it counts, but reveals her vulnerability in select moments like when she thinks of her sister and all that’s she lost. Characters that are both strong and weak always have my heart.

Ga’var is a more rough around the edges type of guy, but it works for him. He sort of grows on you in that way. His loyalty and honor also makes him a wonderful lead. He always wants to do the right thing even when he isn’t entirely sure what that is in the moment. A bit of alien naivety in the face of human customs and language is always fun. He also has great interactions with the other Vullan, especially Fer’ro, and quite a few made me actually laugh out loud.

The action in the book was great! I appreciate when the intense fighting moments feel like life or death and that’s really portrayed here well. Peeks into the other characters make me curious about them but also the interactions with Adira is great since I already loved her from the first book. There are still so many mysteries about the aliens and the tech and so many other things that I just want more and more, I really appreciate that slow feeding of information the author does.

fantastic story

I am loving this author so so much. The plot is very good that it almost feels like a movie. This one has very good action as Gavar and Sam get separated and are stranded in the woods and they encounter new hurdles not in the previous book. I love how protective Gavar is and how Sam very soon accepts his nurturing and decides to embrace life instead of stress about her attraction to him. I loved the advancement of the oncoming war and how fast the plot is trucking along moving towards their incoming battle with the enemy. My ONLY complaint is the romance is good but lacks more complexity or communication before the story ends in preparation for the next installment. I love the romance but it’s second fiddle to the overall plot. Just a little. When each installment ends it doesn’t feel like the romance is complete. It ends in a Happy for now that I think is fine since they are still in a dire situation in the middle of a war. I just wish the romances ended with more of an emotional relationship culmination. It just feels like both couples at this point still haven’t fully melded together or openly verbally communicated their love yet. But I’m eager to complete the series to see what’s happens. It’s Probly one of the best sci-fi series I’ve read. The writing is so vivid in its depictions without being wordy or long winded. And fast paced without being superficial. It’s literally like watching a really good sci-fi horror movie but with a mate bond romance happening in the middle of it all. It could be epic if this author ever decided to write a series that stayed focused on a single relationship. Like a trilogy.

🖤 “I have always been watching you, Sa’am.”
~~~
Sam was so sweet and kind. And she’s really smart, too. But what I loved most about her was that she’s so brave to overcome all her fears and venture outside of the safety of Base Zero to seek food for herself and the other females. She’s just awesome!
Ga’Var, like all the Vullan, is strong, silent and always watching. Even more, he’s so honorable, fiercely protective and devoted. I adored everything about this huge dark alien elf!
I really loved everything that happened between Sam and Ga’Var. They were a really great match and a great team. There were some cultural misunderstandings that led to some humorous situations but the chemistry between the two was undeniable. And when they finally overcame their fears and gave into their feelings, the passion they shared was scorching hot. Who could resist a huge, fanged, purring and ridged alien who wants to lick every spot on your body with his magic tongue?!
In addition, the storyline and worldbuilding were fantastic. The war with the Gryken is imminent and they turn out to be even more dangerous than everyone believed. And the apocalypse is bringing the worst in humanity, too.
Overall, the story is another great addition to the series. It’s filled with danger, drama, adventure, fast-paced action, twists, steamy romance and wonderful characters.
I loved it and cannot wait to see what happens next!
4&1\2 fabulous🌟's for Base Zero🌟💖
This is quickly becoming one of my new favorite series! We are knee deep in the war for Earth as the apocalypse happens all around the World. The Vullan have come to help but they are terrifying looking but not as scary as invaders that have destroyed much of the earth. They have rescued several women and one has become the soul mate of the leader. His brother Ga’Var has always wanted a mate someone to care for. He has been watching Sam she's beautiful, small fragile yet so brave and strong. While they are both on a mission to forage for food they are attacked by the Greyken and they have to survive on their own . As they hide and survive they become closer. Their feelings grow and so does the bond between them. an unexpected danger threatens their growing relationship and Ga’Var will not let anything happen to the female he has claimed as his! This is two souls finding love after sharing similar great tragedy! Highly recommend and I'm off to read book three🌟💖🔥🔥🌟💖💖🌟🔥🔥🌟💖
I didn't like this one as much as the first one. The FMCs from these series lack common sense. They want to become these full warriors without any knowledge of fighting or tactics whatsoever. While I appreciate their courage, it just don't make sense. They read as too gullible.
Towards the end, there's a scene that reminded me of book one, which I found repetitive and unneeded as well. The lack of communication between both MCs was used to create conflict and to extend the book, too.
Also, why are some concepts being kept a secret when they're supposed to represent the new Vulgan era? It doesn't make any sense to me. Why didn't Adira or Fer'ro explained the others about their mating, the signs, and what it entails? Why is there so much secrecy about a plot point that's supposed to be detrimental for both races?
I love some concepts of the world that I think were well-thought out, but those are just not enough to keep me going. Might read the third one in the series after a short break
4*
I’m completely enthralled by this series, it just keeps getting better. I was not expecting to be so entertained when I decided to read the first book, but it hooked me right in and this second one was just the same. I knew it was going to be an adventure, but it had even more action than I expected. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
This couple was slight different from the first one, it wasn’t as slow burn, but it was good all the same. Again, we had an amazing heroine that despite the troubles became fierce and fought for what she believed in. I also loved how the hero was yearning for a relationship a lot more than her, basically he was the romantic one (as much as an alien from a completely different species can be).
Overall, this was a great second installment. It continued from where the other stoped and picked up with the same intense pace from there. It had new developments that where surprising, but still left a lot of thing unanswered. A.G. Wilde definitely knows her sci-fi world building and I’m looking forward to continuing this crazy journey.
I liked BASE ZERO and I do think the pacing and plot was stronger in this one compared to book 1 but it also repeated a lot of things from the previous book. I'm also confused as to why Adira didn't share anything about her mating, the ba'clan, or the cultural expectations of the Vullan. For some of it I understand that she doesn't want to overwhelm the other traumatized women, but I think it would have been helpful for them to understand what actions to avoid if they didn't want to accidentally proposition the Vullan.
I did like Sam as our FMC but since we don't really have any of her background or history she felt like a copy of Adira. They're both strong and determined women but since thats really the only traits we're given they didn't feel unique. Ga'Var was also very similar to his brother Fer'ro. Because of these similarities, combined with the overly formal writing "voice" I do not plan to continue with this series.
Content Warning: references to forced pregnancy (side character); threats of rape (not from MMC)
Base Zero was more graphic in torture and SA than Arrival and it didn't have a disclaimer concerning those things lol (maybe the disclaimer from the first book is meant to be for the whole series?)
I liked it but it wasn't as good as the first. It was similar to the first book so it felt repetitive. Sam and Ga'var were also not my favorites. There was nothing wrong with them, but like the rest of the book they were just okay. I didn't really connect to them, their stories, or struggles. Actually I pretty much skipped the last sex scene and quickly read the ending, cause I wanted to move on from the characters and see what happens next with the war for earth. I still enjoyed progressing in the overall story, because I want to know what happens to the other characters and to earth in the end, but this particular one was just okay. It's still a very quick read and as a disclaimer this one does talk about rape, and has graphic attempted rape and violence
*** okay read, 3 stars***
Loving this series!
A.G. Wilde is my new one click author. I don't even have to read the blurb to know I'll love the book. Her aliens are truly alien. Her heroines are brave, smart and no damsels in distress. They may need the heroes help but they're not the type to stay behind and wring their hands while the male takes all the risk. Add to that the Vullen males tendency to make their mates the center of their universe and I'm wishing for a Vullen mate of my own. This is a steamy sci-fi romance with no instalove and mad chemistry between the MC's. I recommend this for an 18+ readership only. If you like your smut with a great story and your males with that more than human vibe and the Captured Earth series is for you. These books are best read in order. The writing and editing is very well done. I only found two typos in the entire novel. Enjoy! 🙂
Version française
Ne laissez pas la couverture vous tromper, laissez-la vous tirer par la ficelle et vous emmener dans un voyage dont vous ne saviez pas qu'il pouvait être aussi bon.
Je ne suis pas étrangère à cette auteure. Laissez-moi vous dire que reprendre un de ses livres est comme un soupir de soulagement. Son style de prose et d'écriture est comme un ruban de satin de soie qui glisse le long de mon cerveau.
L'histoire elle-même est douce et un bon moyen de me prendre si vous voulez un nettoyant rapide pour le palais. Je n'ai pas lu depuis un moment et je suis content que ce soit l'un de ses livres qui ait ravivé ma joie de me perdre dans une histoire.
Une chose que j'apprécie vraiment chez cette auteure est la maturité de ses personnages.
A lire sans modération
Another FANTASTIC Read!!!
OMG,and I thought book #1 was exceptional! I am in love with this series!!!
Base Zero book #2 features a new couple Sam and Ga’Var and is just as immersive and well written as the first. With aliens who act like aliens and are written from their perspective when interacting with humans. The inter species romance as it develops is so well done and the author’s world building is amazing.
If you are looking for a can’t put down book you have found it and I recommend starting with book #1 for the initial back story as the storyline carries over.
Thank you A.G. Wilde for the best series I’ve started in a loooong time.
Don’t know how I’m going to last until the next book.
Highly recommended!!!
Good story for Ga’Var and Samantha
This is book two and the author did make it interesting again. I would suggest reading book one because of the world building aspect. Earth has been invaded in a horrible way. The first aliens, Scrits, are destroying the earth. Again in book two, the human females that escaped found help from the Vullans. Rations for the humans are low. No one wants to leave the security of the base but they must find food. A team of four decide to split up. Ga’Var and Sam are one team. Adrina and Kerro from book one are the other team. As Sam and Ga’Var find edible plants and flowers they also find the enemy. What will they do? Will they be able to return to the base? Read On!
