New York Times bestselling author and creator Catana Chetwynd’s latest collection of comics illustrates the moments a relationship “levels up” and all the intimate, special, and amusing adventures those milestones entail.
Author of Little Moments of Love, Snug, and In Love & Pajamas, Catana Chetwynd imparts her relationship wisdom once again with her latest collection of comics. This time, she explores the momentous steps of a relationship––whether it be moving in together, the reality of facing time apart, or even officially committing to one another––all while shining a light on the joy those moments can offer. Catana’s unmistakable illustration and writing styles make even the most mundane tasks, like mowing the lawn or deciding whose turn it is to cook dinner, seem charming. Her relatable content is elevated in a fresh and humorous way that only Catana’s comics can do.
The latest instalment from one of the cutest contemporary comic artists, Catana Chetwynd.
As always, this book chronicles her life with her fiancé John and their connection with each other, with their pets and with their (limited) social circle. The central theme in this graphic novel, as the title suggests, is ‘home’. As Catana mentions in the author’s note, it is “a testament to the homey bond – both being at home together and finding home in each other.”
The comics are as adorable as always. Catana and John provide serious relationship goals through their amazing connection with each other, and this bonhomie is exuded throughout the book. Her comics are almost always relatable, whether to a great or a minor extent. I am not sure if it does complete justice to the “home” theme, but if you forget about that factor and just read it for the fun of it, you will definitely enjoy the joyride.
The illustrations are in typical Catana style, in B&W and with ample cuteness. If you are familiar with her work, you know what to expect.
The reason I didn’t go higher with my rating is that many of the comics were familiar to me. Of course, this is clarified on the back blurb, which says that the collection has 50% fan favourites and 50% new comics. As I follow the author’s page on Facebook, I knew most of the fan favourites. I did still enjoy them, but that freshness factor went for a toss.
If you would love a book about love, depicting a beautiful relationship where the partners seem to work so nicely in sync with each other, and have a few laughs along the way, this is a great choice. The physical book comes with stickers at the end.

My thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing and Edelweiss+ for the DRC of “You Are Home”. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.
I always love Catana's Comics so much, and this was no exception. I joked with my spouse while reading this that my favorite part of any new Catana collection is just constantly shoving the book at my spouse going, "Look, it's us!" 😂 I feel like these comics are always incredibly relatable for people in healthy, happy, long-term relationships, especially if you or your partner are anxious, introverted types like we are.
Thank you to the publisher for the review copy! All thoughts are honest and my own.
You are Home is a cute set of short one-page graphic novels taken from the everyday life of an ordinary young couple. I saw a few familiar scenes in those moments. The illustrations are black and white, cute, and funny. Usually, I don’t read romance. But this graphic novel was nice and relatable, so I’m glad I read it.
Thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC and this opportunity! This is a voluntary review and all opinions are my own.
These are always such cute little cartoons!!! They hit home a whole lot, which causes a lot of laughter and smiling while reading this. The relationship between the two characters is so fun and realistic, which makes for some funny situations.
I really recommend this to those who enjoy funny cartoons about real life stuff, those who enjoy Catawba Chetwynd’s other works, and those who just need to have a laugh.
Thanks so much to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Another fun, highly relatable Catana graphic novel about domestic life and the joys of being a homebody. I love watching these stories both evolve and stay comfortably the same in their cozy, feel-good vibes. Loved this one just as much as the previous books and highly recommend. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!
Ya wanna know what makes me happy? What puts me in a good mood? What I share constantly with friends on my social media? Posts from Catana Chetwynd that's what! Aside from the phenomenally adorable artwork, it's the heart and soul of these comics that make me a fan. Chetwynd has an insurmountable collection of real-life love pieces. She makes us feel seen. Her work is filled with kindness and a normalization of friendship within a relationship. Aspirational and sweet!

P.S. October seems to be the new wedding season You Are Home would make a perfect gift!!
*Thank you to Andrews McMeel Publishing via Netgalley for sharing this with me.
Another adorable, relatable, humorous comic by Chetwynd. This is perfect for fans of Sarah Anderson's comics and Soppy by Philippa Rice Soppy and anyone who follows Chetwynd on social media!
You Are Home is all sorts of adorable goodness that you just can’t put down. Though this book’s series of slice of life comics are very clearly tailored to feature the author and her husband, this is one of the most relatable relationship book comic you could possibly ever pick up.
I had so much fun peeking into the various day-to-day moments of their lives, giggling as I recognized myself and my fiancée within the pages. It’s no question that I deeply appreciate the heartwarming nature of this collection and can’t wait to share pieces of it with my own partner. I’m sure he’ll see some of us within the book, as well.
I am impressed by how fresh this collection of comics feels as Catana releases her fourth volume. I appreciate the positive tones and cozy feelings evoked.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for this ARC!
This is very cute and sweet. These G-rated comics celebrate the coziness of being loved up and living together and are definitely warm and fuzzy, if not particularly passionate or profound. They're more of a journey through the soft, contented security of happy domestic life when one has found their person. It would make a great gift for couples wanting to celebrate moving in together or for romantic occasions like anniversaries, Valentine's Day, etc.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
More or less always the same... lets be honest, but still I just can't get enough off those comic by Catana! They are fun and I relate so much with them. It's just so close to my own relationship with my wife that it make it even more funny and ridiculous! I love it!
I've read and enjoyed other comics by Catana (Snug and In Love & Pajamas) and I enjoyed this one just the same. They are all so heartwarming and cute, and the drawing style is so unique and lovely. I loved the message and essence of "home as a person" that this book tried and achieved in conveying.
For some reason, even though this is theoretically the exact kind of book that I should love after enjoying Sarah Andersen's work, I really couldn't get into this. Maybe it's because Andersen has the extra layer of abstraction in the form of the supernatural tropes that affect the character dynamics, or maybe it's all just personal taste with no further explanation possible.
This book felt like watching other people make out on the subway. Like, huh, good for them, I guess, and I can relate, I suppose, but I'm not compelled to watch.
Catana Chetwynd's comics are wonderful! In this latest installment, Catana continues the theme of adorably cute and relatable relationship comics. Each page contains another short black and white illustration of an everyday moment in the life of Catana and her partner, John. I particularly enjoy how the comics show relationships in a quirky but healthy fashion. Overall, I definitely recommend this collection along with the author's other fantastic books. Thank you to netgalley for providing me with an electronic copy of this book for review.
For the most part I enjoyed this collection, however, I didn’t relate to all the scenes which I’m certain have much more meaning and make more sense for Catana and John. Overall, this was a light and adorable collection of comics that demonstrates feeling at home and finding home within your relationship and partner.
