A Brother’s Best Friend/Fake Relationship Romance

Cassie

Did I ask my brother’s insanely hot Navy SEAL best friend to crash my work vacation and pretend to be my boyfriend? No, no, I did not. It’s not that I’m not grateful Nick is trying to help me save face in front of my ex and his legal secretary who now wears his engagement ring and baby bump. I am incredibly grateful. But also incredibly turned on because Nick is very hands-on when it comes to his fake boyfriend duties. With every kiss and touch the line between fake and real becomes more and more blurry.

Nick

Did I sacrifice my own leave to go on a work vacation with my best friend’s sister? Yes, I did. Cassie and I have been penpals–for lack of a better term–for the better part of two years and I already know I’m nuts about her. Sight unseen. So knowing she has to go on a work trip with her cheater of an ex, yeah I sign up to play her boyfriend. I’m hoping to convince Cassie that we belong together. I’m all in and ready to claim this gorgeous woman for good… forever.

I like books about people who write/text each other, then get to know one another. The fake relationship trope can be fun, too. This book seems to have a good, solid premise but it is written poorly and contains so many errors that the reader is forced to wade through a mass of words that often make no sense. There are awkward sentences, bad grammar, mid-sentence changes in tense, missing prepositions, and so on…and on.

Cassie is the sister of two Navy SEALs, and she has been corresponding with Nick, fellow SEAL and best friend of one of her brothers, for over two years. She sends Nick care packages, and they text and Email. Not sure why they haven’t Skyped or FaceTimed, but they haven’t. They’ve never met in person. But they’ve had two years to get to know one another pretty well.

Cassie’s boyfriend cheats on her, gets his other girlfriend pregnant, then breaks up with Cassie. They are both lawyers at his family’s law firm. The group that worked on a particularly lucrative contract are sent on a brief vacation to Belize. So that she did not have to go alone, Cassie made plans to go with a good friend who ended up getting sick at the last minute. Nick finally meets Cassie and steps in to pose as her fake boyfriend. Sounds like an interesting proposition, doesn’t it?

Cassie, instead of being pleased with the prospect, has a hissy fit. Nearly a third of the book is spent on Cassie’s whining, griping, and complaining about having to spend time with a buff SEAL who is already her friend and is not only handsome, but pleasant. She is angry and hateful at having to spend time on a beautiful island off the coast of Belize with a SEAL whose element is water. That in itself is just weird…30% of the book is taken up with Cassie’s ludicrous complaining.

They could have had the very best of times on the water – imagine hanging out with a SEAL in his environment, learning new things and getting to know a good friend even better. But no, we have Cassie who cannot have a good time if we were to pay her and Nick who is a tactician and strategist yet cannot come up with a plan to make her realize how he really feels about her. Come on!

At 28% completion (chapter 6), I pretty much gave up and started reading faster. It wasn’t because the book was moving slowly; the story was becoming silly. At 50% completion I realized this was going to be Cassie’s go-to place: poor little girl, having a great time with her friend, a buff SEAL who is agreeable and amusing company. She is never going to enjoy some pretty amazing times with her friend. Nick has remarkable patience and deserves someone so much better than the over-thinking and highly dramatic Cassie, who is 100% self-involved. Cassie says it best later in the book, calling herself stupid, selfish, and cowardly. She’s right. She is.

The errors make this book a miserable read. Here are a few examples - and there are many more:
 Cassie’s brother, has two names: Remi and Remy. The spelling changes back and forth.
 “Brining my brother?” Unless Cassie is going to pickle her brother in brine, that should be, “BRINGING my brother?”
 “…securing patent rights for McPherson that worth more money than I can imagine….” Perhaps “…that ARE worth more money….”
 “…and show her gravitate….” How about “…and show her GRATITUDE...” but I’m guessing.
 “A worn, army green duffle sits between his feet.” Animate objects (people, animals) sit, while inanimate objects (books, duffle bags) set. This sentence should read, “A worn, army green duffle SETS between his feet.”
 “He rubs his hand and big circle, up my back….” Maybe, “He rubs his hand IN A big circle up my back….”
 “…with some small scrap dignity left.” Perhaps, “…with some small scrap OF dignity left.”
 “I don’t want to pity me.” Cassie isn’t talking about pitying herself; she’s talking about her coworkers pitying her. This should read, “I don’t want THEM to pity me.” I think.
 “I brought you a long at some sort of fake date….” Good grief. I think that might be, “I brought you ALONG AS some sort of fake date.”
 “He pulls away the stare deeply into my eyes….” Maybe, “…pulls away TO stare deeply….”
 “Oh, because you’re planning on to whisper all the fake dirty things….” Nope. It’s either “…planning on whispering…” or “…planning to whisper…” not a combination of both.
 “…aware of how this aware of how absurd this is going to sound….” Only one “aware of” is necessary; perhaps, “…aware of how absurd this is….”
 “…maybe it’s because I’m girl.” Pretty sure that should be, “…maybe it’s because I’m A girl.”
 “We all play from a single slate of tiles at time.” Not sure, but maybe “…at A time.”
 “I feel like there’s a but in the at the end of that sentence….” Weird, but I think the “in the” is superfluous. It should read, “I feel like there’s a ‘but’ at the end of that sentence….”
 “I don’t want with Delaney has.” I think that’s “…don’t want WHAT Delaney has.”
 “…and he still wearing those stupid aviator glasses.” Probably should be, “…HE’S still wearing….”
 “He said maybe feel jogging on the beach.” Hmmm. I don’t know….
 “…but I don’t that I have the clarity of mind….” Ergh. Maybe, “…I don’t THINK I have the clarity….”
 “…Jonah picks up in his boat….” Nick is narrating, so maybe “…Jonah picks ME up….”
 “We make it all the back to the turtle rescue station….” Perhaps, “…all the WAY back….”
 “…you could figure out how the storm Buckingham Palace….” Maybe, “…how TO storm Buckingham Palace….”
 “…a woman like doesn’t need you to ask her dad for permission….” This is Jonah talking, a former Navy SEAL, so he isn’t using works such as “like” to fill up a sentence. I think it should be, “…a woman like HER doesn’t need….”
 “I wander through the main palapa around mid-after and catch one of the staff….” Pretty sure that should be “mid afternoon.”
 “So it wasn’t something the resort it?” Maybe “…something the resort DID.”
 “I don’t want you to leave my little island without getting to have at something wonderful to remember it by.” No idea. Maybe “…have at LEAST something wonderful…” but then, something wonderful would not be a “least” type of memory.
 Changes in tense within the same sentence occur. For example, “Finally, when I stop talking, he just thinks for a minute and asked, ‘You have a plan yet?’”

This book needs editing and most definitely, proofreading. ASAP. The copious number of errors causes no end of annoyance. While we cannot expect perfection, the sheer number of mistakes in this book makes it impossible to stay in the story without popping out every few pages to figure out what the writer is trying to say. It happens so much of the time. Page after page of errors is dreadful!

I rated this book 2 stars because its fine premise was ruined by massive errors and bad behavior on the part of the heroine. I’ve allowed myself to get sucked in to these SEAL Team Romeo books written by different writers, thinking the next one will be better. It hasn’t happened yet. The advertising blurbs are fabulous…the reality of each book has been considerably less so.

A quick, easy, feel-good read. Even with the novella feel, the characters are believable, and the story is worth reading. I loved Nick and Cassie and laughed at their relationship development through email and text. I plan to look for more books by this author.

Thank you to the Booksprout and the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Cassie and Nick have been penpals for a couple years. Her brother is part of Nick's SEAL team. He's always had feelings for her, but it never worked out for them to meet. While on leave he decides he's going to make his move - acting as her fake boyfriend on her work trip.

It was refreshing that there was no conflict from her brother. In fact, he knew all along Nick liked Cassie and was all for it. This novella had some really good, realistic conversations between the MCs. Nick and Cassie both act a bit jerky, but they recognize and change their behavior quickly. I would have liked a longer epilogue that was more character focused.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read.

Cassie meets Nick through her brother Remy. Nick and Remy are Navy SEAL’s and trained together. Cassie starts to send Nick care packages and then they exchange emails. Soon the emails turn into text messages. Cassie heads to Saddle Creek to meet up with her brother Remy. Nick tagged alone, so he could meet Cassie. They meet up at Ace’s where Nick finds out Cassie’s is going on a trip to Belize on Monday. Her best friend Trevor is suppose to go with her but can’t because he is sick. So she is going alone and her ex-boyfriend and his pregnant fiance will be there. Cassie is going on this vacation, it is a reward for winning a big intellectual property lawsuit. Cassie ask Remy if he can go with her but he can’t. Nick tells Cassie he’ll go with her. She tells him it’s not necessary, she tells him he doesn’t have to do it as a favor for her brother. He tells her he’s not doing it as a favor to her brother, he’s doing it for her, they are friends. Nick ask Cassie for the flight information and Remy give him the information. Cassie wants to know how Remy got the information. He tells her Trevor sent it to him after he found out he couldn’t go. Nick and Cassie argue back and forth, then she stand and tells them she needs to go. Nick tells Remy he’s going after her to make sure she’s okay to drive. Remy tells him to go for it. When he catches her he asks her if she’s alright to drive the long drive back to Austin. She tells him she’s fine and asks if he needs anything else. They talk about the last book she sent him. She tells him she needs to hit the road, and he tell her he’ll see her Monday. She tells him he’s not actually invited. Monday morning Cassie arrives and finds Nick already waiting for her. He cups her face and kisses her. She asks him what that was for and he tells her to make sure her ex knows she doesn’t miss him. Then he leans in for a more fierce kiss. Nick finds out she called the terminal ahead to add him to the guest list. The flight attendant calls everyone on board. Her ex-boyfriend, Tripp and his fiance, Delany, who is pregnant announce she needs to board first so she doesn’t get motion sickness. Nick escorts Cassie to the back of the plane so no one will hear them from the engine noise. Nick tells her they need to strategize. Cassie tells him all about each of her co-workers. They talk about her ex Tripp and he tells her she needs to stop defending him, he did wrong by cheating on her. When they land they catch a boat to the island they are staying on. Once off the boat everyone heads for drinks and Nick stays behind to help the skipper unload the bags. They get their room keys and head off to find their cabin. Cassie unpacks her bags and then realizes there is only one king size bed in the room. He tells her he’ll be happy to sleep on the floor. The second day Nick plans the day taking her to an island an hour away. Cassie realizes she missed dinner and asks Nick to go get food, she goes to take a shower. She is in and out of the shower in less than five minutes, she is pissed. She then realizes she doesn’t have her clothes and Nick is back with their food. He asks her why she is pissed at him and she tells him this is a very romantic place. He is a very good fake boyfriend. She tells him there were no shenanigans or canoodling on his part. He ask her if he got it right she’s pissed because he hasn’t taken advantage of her. She tells him she likes to be his fake girlfriend and expected him to make a move. He tells her she is his best friends sister and would never take advantage of her. They argue back and forth, then her towels falls to the floor. When he reaches down for her towel her scent overwhelms him and he drops to his knees. He asks her to open her thighs for him. He wraps her leg around him and pleasures her. She coming down from the most incredible orgasm of her life then tells him she needs him inside her. He tells her to get on the bed as he undresses. He sits on the bed and has her straddle him. He flips her around so he is on top of her and thrusts into her. She wakes the next morning not surprised to an empty bed. She goes to find some coffee and finds out everyone went out snorkeling. She goes for her second cup of coffee and runs into Tripp. He tells her he wants to talk to her, he tells her he misses her. They made sense and fit. She tells him he is with Delany now. He tells her that doesn’t mean he doesn’t miss her. She tells him she doesn’t care how he feels, he broke up with her and made his choice. Even if he wasn’t engaged or she wasn’t pregnant there is no us anymore. When she hears footsteps behind her she knows Nick is there. Nick tells Tripp if he’s lucky he’ll pretend he never had this conversation with Cassie. She doesn’t know what to say to Nick as Tripp scurries off. He tells her she better not tell him Tripp is a good guy because he was about to kiss her. She asks him if he’s mad at her over this and he tells her no. She tell him she feels a but coming on. He tells her he can’t admit that as he is talking to a lawyer. He asks her how she feels and she tells him she doesn’t know. He tells her he know how he feels and he loves her. She leaves and gets another cup of coffee and Nick goes for a run. Nick calls Jonah to come pick him up in his boat he lives on another island. Jonah takes him back to his turtle rescue station. Nick stays on the island all day. Jonah ask him why he’s so quiet, so he tells him about Cassie. Nick tells him he wants to go back the mainland, back to Texas and ask Cassie’s dad permission to marry her, then go get his mom’s ring. Jonah tells him he’s stalling and needs a better plan. Jonah tells him he doesn’t needs her dad’s permission and not waste his time going to the mainland. He tells Nick to call Remy and get things right then go get her and be the man he is. Cassie wants to get off the island so she heads to see Clara to get her off the island. She finds Clara and tells her she’s going back to Texas. When Clara asks her if she need transportation for her and her boyfriend Cassie breaks down. Clara calls someone and asks for a tray brough to her office. Clara calls Jonah and tell him he’s needs to bring Nick back. Cassie tells Clara what happened between her and Nick. Clara asks Cassie if she sent Nick away now instead of later when she fell completely in love with him. Clara tells Cassie she’ll take care of her transportation. Nick contacts Remy who tells him he already knew he was in love with his sister and he’ll treat her right. Jonah comes back and he takes him back to get his girl. Clara sends Cassie a boxed dinner so she doesn’t have to eat in the dinning room. She left a note under her dinner plate to come back around dusk for a special surprise. Another note is left for her to follow the path to the lagoon. When she arrives at the lagoon she hears someone clear their throat behind her. She turns to see Nick, she tells him she thought he left. He tells her he left the island but he’d never leave her. She tells him she thought she lost his chance with him because she was a coward. He tells her a story about diving and planning your dive. Then he tells her he didn’t plan to fall in love with her. He tells her he already knew he loved her that there would never be anyone else. He also knew she wasn’t there yet, his plan was to convince her that they’d be good together. So he tells her his new plan, he loves her there’s no one else for him, he wants to put a ring on her finger and a baby in her. So he’s willing to wait because she not there yet, he can be patient. They go back to their cabin, she asks him what the next stage is, he tells her a ring on her finger. She asks him they they can make love and he tells her no. She tells him that’s not fair and he tells her he been told Guidry’s don’t play fair she plays to win. That’s how he plays too, she asks him what if he’s already won, what if she loves him and all in. He asks her if she figured that out on her own. She asks him what that means and he tells her he already knew she love him. She asks him if they can make love now and he tells her nope still waiting for the ring. She tells him that he needs to get it done quickly and he tells her does. From the Saddle Peek Message Board: Austin Lawyer Cassie Guidry eloped with Navy SEAL Nick Capsalis, they stopped in Vegas on their way home from Belize to tie the knot. Rumor has it she walked away from her high-profile job in Austin and will be moving to the West Coast, where he’s stationed at Coronado.

I received a free copy through the author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review/opinion.

3.5 stars — This was a super fast and easy read. Both Nick and Cassie were pretty easy to like, and I enjoyed them together, though I will admit that I didn’t enjoy them as much as some other couples I’ve read from this author. I think my rating is more of an “it’s not you, it’s me” kind of situation.

Nick was focused and determined, but also so caught up in his head and his plans that he overcomplicated things. I appreciated seeing his friends give him the gears to get his head out of his butt. I think I might have enjoyed him more in a full length book, because maybe then we’d have gotten more insight into why he is the way he is. But there was still enough in this novella to connect with him at least a bit, and root for him. I, personally, am not always a fan of the alpha male posturing, but I kind of knew that I might get a bit of that given this is a military series. And it wasn’t over the top.

Cassie…hmmm. I had a bit of a harder time with Cassie, just because I didn’t quite get her reactions wrt her ex and how she saw Nick. She was awfully stand-offish with Nick, and I think I was a bit confused. I did expect it a bit, given the blurb, but I guess at the end of the book I still don’t quite get what motivated that — at least to that degree. But I did appreciate that she stood up for herself, was assertive, didn’t let herself get used, etc.

And their steam factor was SOLID.

I think there were other little bits hinting at other stories (Remy, Wade, Jonah, Cara) that took up a bit more time in the story than maybe I would have liked. But again, I got why they were there (to entice the reader to then buy those stories), but since I was mostly in this one for the author and not the story style, it was distracting and unsatisfying.

On a side note, the ARC copy I read was pretty rough, so I did have stumbling blocks trying to figure out what some sentences were trying to say, but that can happen. Hopefully it got another editing pass before publish.

So yeah. I still can see what has captured me with this author, but the story just wasn’t a match for what I most enjoy. And I kind of knew that was a possibility, but took a risk anyways.

In Too Deep de Emma Lee Jayne serie SEAL Team Romeo libro

Argumento:

Cassie

Cassie me frustraba.

This is the first title I have read by Emma Lee Jayne, but I have been enjoying the SEAL Team Romeo multi-author series so grabbed a copy of In Too Deep - and boy am I glad I did! This is a sexy, swoon-worthy brother's best friend romance that is entertaining from first page to last. Nick is a Navy SEAL who has developed a friendship with his best friend/fellow SEAL's younger sister, Cassie, through two years of care packages, emails and texts. Although they have never met in person, Nick knows he has fallen in love with Cassie. So when the opportunity to accompany her on a vacation with co-workers - which includes her cheating ex and his pregnant fiancé - and pose as her boyfriend, he is determined. With a week in Belize with their own private cabin, will Nick be able to convince Cassie that everything fake between them he wants to be real?

A steamy read that's a perfect addition to this delightful and swoon-y series!

Cassie has been sending care packages to her brother’s friend Nick for a couple years. They have become friends thru email and DMs. When her best friend bailed on her company trip due to being sick, Nick jumps at the chance to join her. He claims it is to help her save face around her ex and his fiancé.

Nick had been in love with Cassie even though they have never met in person. The pen pals thing in no longer just enough, it is time to win his girl. When he finds out she is going solo on a work retreat, he horns his way into the trip. He has a plan to make her his, except is goes awry when the sleep together, no he needs a new plan.

This is a sweet and steamy read, they both are kind of similar. To read about Cassie’s brother, Remy’s story, read Covert Curves in this series.

Cassie and Nick . . .

Nick is Cassie’s brother’s best friend. They went through BUD/S training together. Nick and Cassie have been pen-pals for two years, which gave him plenty of time to decide she was the one for him.

When Cassie Guidry has to attend a “work vacation” where she will have to mingle with her ex-boyfriend and his pregnant fiancée, Nick Capsalis decides to step in and help her out. An old friend of hers was going to go with her, but he got the mumps. So now Nick is insisting that he will be her fake boyfriend. But for him, it’s real. Will he convince Cassie of this?

I like the story line on this one and the take-charge attitude Nick wears like a badge. At least Cassie has a SEAL brother, so it’s not too much of a shock to fall for Nick. Grab your copy and enjoy their hijinks.

Nick has been in love with his best friend's little sister for a while now but couldn't act on it because she was in a relationship. Cassie is now free, and Nick is about to finally meet her in person. They have exchanged emails and texts for over two years, but now things about to get more real. Cassie has earned a trip to Belize with the law firm that she works for, but unfortunately her ex and his new fiancée will be there too. Cassie doesn't want to show up alone, but she is having a hard time getting someone to go with her. Once Nick finds out, he invites himself along in order to use the opportunity to get Cassie to fall for him. Will Nick accomplish his mission, or will all his plans go up in flames? Read their story to learn what the answer is.

I love Emma Lee Jayne's books.

This book is in a series - SEAL Team Romeo which every book is written by a different author.
This book was a novella and I don't know if every book in the series is novella.

This was the story of Nick the hot navy SEAL and he's best friend's little sister, Cassie.

The author definitely knows how to write male characters. She knows how to make us fall in love right away.
Nick was so sweet. He loved Cassie for a while and that's was even before he saw her in real life!
They were some sort of a penpals before.

Cassie was a fighter! She was strong woman, a respectable lawyer and the little sister of two navy SEAL brothers!

It was such a light, fun, super steamy and swoony read. I devoured it in just a few hours without putting it down!
Did I mention Nick was a hot navy SEAL?? 😉

Great book that kept me intrigued about Remy's story 🤔

These sweet characters will win your heart! Nick is a hero that becomes Cassie's personal hero. I will be getting the other stories in this series...
Nick is in love with Cassie though they haven't met in person yet. She's been sending him care packages and letters. When he gets the chance to take leave with her brother, he is determined to win her heart. Cassie's friend was supposed to go on a work trip to save her because her ex and his new fiance will be there too. Nick volunteers to be her fake boyfriend on this trip. Will he be able to convince her that he's all in and she's it for him?.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is another good story in the SEAL Team Romeo series. Cassie and Nick have become friends while he is a SEAL alongside her brother, Remy. Nick has fallen for her so when this chance comes to get his girl, he finally takes it. Cassie has to deal with an ex and figure out this new development with Nick. There are laughs but also sweet moments. They had a lot of chemistry between them but also their share of obstacles. Hopefully editing issues are corrected by publication.

This is the first book I have read by Emma Lee Jayne and I adored it. I’m a sucker for a military penpals romance. Add in the brother’s best friend trope and I had to grab it. I am so glad I did. Nick is a protective, supportive, seriously hot Navy SEAL. Cassie’s a wicked smart, successful lawyer with a little bit of awkward thrown in. When the chance arrives for Nick to help Cassie out by pretending to be her boyfriend on her tropical business vacation, he goes for it. He’s perfect for the part. Their banter is hilarious. There’s one king size bed. There’s more than enough steam to fog up your reading glasses. And there’s Scrabble. What more could you want? Go get this one!

Her boyfriend cheated and knocked up his paralegal. They still work at the same company and are about to head to a reward retreat for the work they did on a case. Her brother maneuvers things to where his friend that's her pen pal ends up going on the trip. He is acting like her boyfriend around everyone, but when it's just them, he is hands off. He thinks she is still hung up on the ex, she thinks he doesn't like her like that. They need to get their heads together and openly communicate.

This story was good. The nicknames were hilarious. Couple of typos

Loved this book

I wrote what I felt was a good review. If you read the book you really don't need me to tell you... It's so good. Two strong well educated people don't know how to work on relationships. Oops, I lost my original review posting so this is what you're getting. The descriptions of the trip to the islands, the title rescue (aww baby turtles), the stay on the island and the people were excellent. It's well worth the read and leaves you wanting a follow up. This was a wonderful brother’s best friend/ fake relationship romance. It was my first time reading a book by this author but it hopefully won’t be the last. I absolutely loved the story. I had been curious about Nick and Cassie’s story since I read Covert Curves and it was even better than I expected. I loved how the story was presented with the inclusion of their previous emails and texts scattered throughout the story. The chemistry between them was amazing and I just couldn’t put down the story.

In Too Deep is part of a series that will steel your heart as the men of SEAL Team Romeo find their love.

Cassie and Nick's story is a fun best friend's sister story with a bit of a twist from her brother. Nick has only known Cassie from her letters and care packages, but what he knows from her sets his heart racing. Cassie is strong and determine not to let anyone bring her down, when Nick comes with her to a work event her heart fights with her mind.

Great story from start to finish.

Sir Reginald Douche Canoe 😂🤣

I grabbed this book after learning it connected to characters in Kat Baxter's books, and this is my first Emma book.

I love that the accuracy between Kat and Emma's characters was almost spot on....it showed they collaborated well.

Additionally their writing styles are similar and complimented each other which made this even more enjoyable.

Loved the blend of pen pals, military, and tropical vacation romance.

The romance was hot, steamy, and all in...what wasn't to like?!?

Looking forward to trying out more from Emma.

Not her defending her cheating ex and saying he’s not a bad guy. Boooooo!

The way he told her he loved her was kinda out of nowhere so I get why she said what she said but that also hurt.

This is why you shouldn’t put yourself in the position to be a rebound. To me personally she wasn’t over what happened with her ex which is fine, cause getting over someone not only cheating on you but having a baby with them is a different type of disrespect.

That whole weird chapter with Clara.

I should have stopped when I had the chance.

Very good!

I enjoyed every page very much! Even if due to my schedule I often prefer those super fast pace HEAs that do not take longer than 50-60 pages, I really tasted out each page of this story and felt a loss when it ended. So good - the dialogues, the messages, the development of the relationship and above all the personalities of the characters. Realky, really excellent book! This was my first by this author and I definitely will look up what else has she written.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nick and Cassie have been communicating through texts and her sending care packages to him. He is visiting her brother when he finds out her planned companion for a work vacation can't make it. Nick offers to be her pretend boyfriend so he can win her heart. Cassie after a bit of dilemma with herself agrees and they elope. I liked how Nick pursued Cassie.

Cassie needs a fake boyfriend for a work vacation with her her cheating ex and his new fiancee. And who is better for the job than Nick the hot Navy SEAL. He was her pen pal for the last few years and is her brothers best friend. What started as a fluke(at least for her 😉) quickly turned into so much more🥰🥰 Instalove, sweet, romantic, steamy and safe with a sweet HEA😍😍😍 and a bit drama (no real OP drama) but nothing serious 😉😉

I loved this series and this story. I only wish it was longer. Nick and Cassie have been emailing each other for years. She is the sister of one of Navy SEALs brothers so she should be off limits but that’s not going to stop him. Nick finally have a chance to see if they are perfect for each other. She is go on vacation as a reward for a case and her ex-boyfriend will be there as well. Nick comes on the vacation with her and sparks fly. Will she realize that he is what she has been looking for all her life?

Cassie and Nick

It was actually a nice story. Didn't felt rushed, maybe because Cassie and Nick already had a friendship of sorts despite never had met.
Nick insist on going with Cassie to Bali when she had to go on a work vacation with her colleagues that includes her ex and his new pregnant fiance. He was to be the fake boyfriend but Nick was so good at the fake boyfriend thing she fell in love. What she didn't know was that was his plan all along. Recommended

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Nick and Cassie and does not let go. While they have been corresponding for the last two years, Nick has been falling in love with her. He knows that they belong together but what will it take for her to realize it?

Nick and Cassie are pen pals. Nick is her brother's best friend and they are both seals. So when her so called fiance breaks up with her because he got his paralegal pregnant, she needs someone to go with her on the works vacation trip to Belieze. So when Nick comes to town with Remy, he volunteers, because he is after all in love with her. Short sweet story.

good read

Wow this book had me laughing Nick was a take no crap kind of guy no wonder him and Remy were best friends. For two years Nick and Cassie were pen-pals. Nick was slowly falling for Cassie now it was just up to Cassie to catch up. The end threw me for a loop. I definitely want to read Jonah story hate that I have to wait until November. Good read.
