The hunky bank robbers with the Gods’ names (Odin, Thor and Zeus) have found their Goddess (Isis).

Let’s see now how many things happen in just 100 pages:

-Iris gets a tattoo. One that matches the tattoos the three robbers have. It certainly means she is considered part of the team now and the four of them are a couple.
And they have sex.

-So they decide to do what normal couples do. They go shopping, go on a romantic date, have massage together with hot stones and Isis is introduced to LA crime society at Prime Royale.
And they have sex.

-Isis meets Gigi’s team of robbers, i.e. the Black, Brown and White Gigi and Isis is proposed to become the Pink Gigi. Of course she is too loyal to her three men. So she goes back to them.
And they have sex.

-They pick costumes for the planned robbery at a costume shop.
And they have sex.

-They perform a robbery in kilts where it is obvious that Thor misses being a doctor.
And they plan to have sex.

I plan to read the next book in the series.

After reading the first book years ago and being pleasantly surprised, I finally decided to check out more of the series. This short installment reminded me why I enjoyed the first one so much. It's ridiculous but fun and hot. I'm excited to read more!

"You Wish we were dead, motherfuckers!"

I rated The Wrong Turn with one star less than the first book because I enjoyed it slightly less. It was if I'm not mistaken shorter than the previous one and I just didn't feel like a lot happened in this one.

Although I wanted more in this book, it was still greatly written, funny and kinky as hell. I felt like there was more spotlight on Thor. He was showing a bit of a dark side because he was not okay with being a criminal, since he's a doctor and everything. Isis definitely noticed that because his out of control behavior showed in the last book also. I'm glad Thor didn't self-destruct or anything like that. Thankfully the other guys said that they would find a way for Thor to be a real doctor again. Phew!

As for Isis. I still adore her. She's easy to like, completely trusts Zeus, Odin and Thor, which makes for very steamy scenes. Two words: Kilt sex.
I also like that in the end she sees they can't really go on like this forever and that she wants to find a way to help them. So we'll see what the next book brings. I feel like I can't say too much about Zeus and Odin. Sure, they were in it a lot but not much happened with them as it was more about Thor.

Overall, I really liked The Wrong Turn. A little short and too hasty for me, so not as good as the first book, The Hostage Bargain but it only makes me want to read the next book even more. I still very much recommend this book (and series)!

I enjoyed The Hostage Bargain a lot more than I’d initially anticipated and found myself eager to see what else the series offered. It’s one of those series that is so out-there that it will not be for everyone, but it certainly had me curious.

I’ll be honest and say The Wrong Turn is more of a three-point-five-star read. There was some amusement to be found and it certainly set things up well for the next book, but it didn’t quite have the magic of the first book. It was a quick and entertaining read, I’d certainly recommend it to better understand what comes in book three, but it wasn’t quite all I had hoped it would be.

All in all, if you’re committed to the series this one is important. Although important, it’s not the best example of the author’s work.

I found myself laughing while reading this one. I loved how Zeus wanted a romantic night for them to have a date, how he kept going on and on about all 4 of them being a couple. Funnier still was how the date ended up going. The forced couple massages for 4, the dinner that was supposed to be without sex, but none of them could hold out. Isis meeting the Gigi's and how it pissed off the god pack and made them come out with their next job.

The bank job should have been easy, but then Thor had to do what he was trained for. I like that the others supported him, knew that Thor was missing being a doctor. I also loved how Isis manipulated them into wearing kilts to do the job.

It will be interesting what happens next to them all.

The crazy continues....

This book is short, 102 pages and probably about 60 to 70% of it is sex and while normally that would be a problem for me, well not a problem but I like balance, I like story with my sex...you know what I mean, anyway despite the unbalance I loved it.
This book is about the gang of three officially becoming four and it worked, it was crazy, silly and unpredictable but it worked and now I can't wait to read the last one 'The Deeper Game' I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because well it was just too short and in my opinion there wasn't enough here for it to be a book it should have been part of either one or two, but that said I enjoyed it.

The second installment of the Taken Hostage by Hunky Bank Robbers series is a short adventure segment including a bank heist, a romantic date, and of course, sex!

“It was like I’d stumbled into a Disneyworld of dangerous sex fantasies.”

The gods continue to be fantasy worthy, the story engaging, and the escapades original.

“‘These rocks on my back make me want to f*ck.’”

Though it’s more novella in length, it still provides a deeper look at the level of loyalty and respect among The God Pack, making this so much more than just an erotic tale.

Not a bad book to read, personally I think Book 1 on the series is better than book 2. Simply because the suspense and uncertainty regarding the bank robbers kept me riveted, and by book 2, that tension is absent, and hence less of the thrill.

Having said that, I enjoyed reading this book. I find it a exciting, sexy short book to read and will look forward to the conclusion in book 3.

The Wrong Turn (Taken Hostage By Kinky Bank Robbers Book 2) by Annika Martin
***Stars
The second book was more about the group getting to know one another on intimate bases. It also shows us how they become a gang of four and the loyalty they hold for one another. We find out what each member’s triggers are and how they are all falling for Isis in their own unique way. It is a bit predictable at times but still enjoyable. This book is a tad short and not a lot of story but more of a character build up which I am assuming is gearing us up for the next book. Overall I enjoyed getting to know the characters.

too short, too much internal dialogue from Isis, but damn if it hasn't got the hot sex from the first book again, with added Zeus

Now that the God Pack is a complete foursome with matching tattoos and Isis formally part of the club, the group needs a score to keep up with their fast-paced lifestyle. But Isis notices a dark edge to Thor, who is becoming increasingly reckless and pushing the others. She’s worried he may self-destruct and bring down their happy group.

The fun carries on in the second Kinky Bank Robbers book, as the group continues to evolve and grow. They recognize that they are a couple now, even insisting on a romance date and a “couples massage.” Their actions are wicked and humor spot on, yet this time around I felt almost on edge with Thor’s behavior. The author does an amazing job of storytelling through Isis’s eyes, and isolating the needs of the group into small, bite size issues. First it was Zeus (book 1) and now it’s Thor. The story of the heist unfolds around Thor, and we witness the group realize his needs.

While I completely enjoyed the adventure and sexiness of the second story, I felt that it wasn’t as complete of a tale as the first book, or rather that it was more like a slice of life. We saw a heist and the group grow closer, yet I wanted more from my hunky guys and girl. Yet The Wrong Turn was utterly fun and crazy, with just a bit of sadness and edge because of Thor and his recklessness.

My Rating: B+ Liked It A Lot

Still a great series, BUT I have some major hang up with this author now.

*I didn’t realize it was series, until finished the first book. I was excited about this because I thought a couple topics ended fast and I wanted to see more from this awesome four-some!

*This book, Wrong Turn should not have been SO SHORT! WTF! 100 pages? 2 nights….really? That’s all you could write up?

*AND to add to that she sets up a great storyline in this book, and just STOP, bc she is going to put it in the next book. Okay, cool I can live with that and over look that this book was ONLY 100 Pages..bc I’m going to read the next book.

*NOPE! She hasn’t released anything since 2012! 2012!! Are you kidding ME?!

Besides that I love this series. It’s funny and I really get into the characters when I read it. – THAT IS WHY I’m so PISSED I CAN’T KEEP READING HOW IT ENDS… UGH – not happy!

description

If I loved the first one, I really really really loved this one! :)

We continue with Melinda who is now Isis, Oden, Zeus, and Thor.

They are now a team/family/gang and simultaneously a "couple"...just with four of them. (No M/M though)

I've never read any polyamory type of books before, so I'm new to this category but geez I love these guys so much.

Isis basically has the perfect relationship because each guy is so different and brings something different to the table emotionally and physically.

This story gives you more insight into each character and also you get deeper into the crime world that they live in.

Seriously if I could give it 6 stars I would! :)

This one... eh. Not so much love for it. We get deeper into the relationship between Isis and her fellow gods, but it really doesn't tell much more to the story. And it seems the boys are getting a little manic, which is a bit troublesome. I hoped it would be a pleasant existence with their new arrangement, but if things are going the way they seem, doom is on the horizon.

I can't quite figure out the dynamics of the relationship between these men. Sure, they're close like brothers, but why? I want the specifics.

Ok, so I'm off to read the last one. Hopefully, it's a bit better than this one and offers more history and a happy ending.

Just as much of a sex fest as the first novel, but I'm really starting to love these hot 'n hunky guys. They are caring, sexy, naughty, supportive and funny! ♥ Isis wants them to wear kilts? Then yes, of course they'll wear kilts for her: "I like the easy access. And the way I see it,nothing says fuck you quite like robbing a bank in kilts... One flash and nobody will be fucking-g remembering anything to ID us... It was an inspired choice, Ice. Plus, you think they're hot."

Aawww, how can I NOT love these crazy guys? ;-)

Not gonna lie, these people just keep f*cking-g around. They literally cannot keep their pants on. It’s a little bit too much to my taste, but that doesn’t take away the great writing, the sass, and the over all fun to follow these bank robbers.

I really like these amazing and interesting characters. I’m curious how their life on the run develops, whether they’ll find a way out, and get their happy ever after as a foursome (or as Zeus likes to call themselves “a romantic unit”).

Just wished I could unsee some of the vividly described content 🙈

The Wrong Idea

I love the bank robbers!!!!

I thought the last book was great, but this one is so much more. I love that we got to see more into the characters of the guys and see more of what motivates and drives them to keep going. The relationship each individual guy is building with Isis is amazing, each bringing something different to the group, making sure they all compliment and complete each other.

Every time I get answers in this series, it opens up another thought and more questions, and I absolutely love that.

The God's have something big planned. I honestly can't wait to see if they can pull it off.

Isis has put herself on the line time and time again for these guys, but I feel she is exactly where she needs to be.

Absolutely recommend the series and author. Annika Martin has a talent for bringing characters to life to the point you feel you know these people.
I'm off to dive deeper into the bank robbers and their next job.

The ridiculous bandit love unit continues its wild adventures. I’m in love with the Gigis. Easily the best new characters we’ve met. Isis finally asks some questions that I’ve been wondering. These questions are what’s holding me to the story while it casts the story from ridiculous to ludicrous.

Do the guys not see a future for themselves? Guns blazing skills or whatever you may call it would only be bravado. Why haven’t they amassed their wealth rather than their ritualistic spending sprees? Is Thor the only one who’s feeling confined? Who continues to hunt them and why?

The erotic dialogue and the action dialogue are hilarious and borderline cringeworthy at times. It’s quite juvenile (the latter mostly) but just makes the story so funny. It’s a fun time reading this.

There are kilts and olive oil. Do what you want with that piece of information. Lol

3.25 Stars 🌟

This is the second book in the very fun and easy to read series about a woman who is kidnapped by three "bank robbers" and finds herself wanting to stay with them for the long haul. We are finding out more information the longer we follow this series and we finally get an idea about the "why" that these guys are doing what they are doing. We also find out that there was a woman before Isis.

I cannot stress how much that this series seems to be very light hearted and easy to read. Yet, somehow, even though the flow is easy and the pace is quick, you find yourself being drawn into these three men. You find that you WANT to know more about "why" they are in the situation that they are in. This is a RH book and yes, there are lots of sexy times, but I have found that I am more interested in discovering why exactly these men have ended up in the situation that they are in.

Yep, I am intrigued......

This novella carries on the wild and ridiculous premise that a former bank teller who was abducted by three sexy bank robbers can join their life of crime as new partner / willing sex slave, and it's, like a fantasy come true.

In terms of story events, Isis gets tatted up (very sexily) and really commits to "her guys." She also gets - and turns down - an invite to join an all-girl robbery group called "The Giraffes" or "Gigis". (I swear I am not making this shit up.) Thor (the healer guy) is shown to be getting a little out of control, and Isis worries about him. She wants to help the whole crew think about the future but hasn't figured out how yet.

I gave this three stars but so far I find these stories just the perfect mix of hot scene followed by hot scene, strung together with just enough insano plot. I am enjoying (with many laughs) and will continue reading.

This is Book #2 in the Kinky Bank Robbers. My only complaint is the length; it's more of a novella. I love it. The heroes haunt my dreams. They are everything you want; hot, handsome, daring, adventuresome. Of course, they are slavishly devoted to the heroine, a spunky equal named Isis. Everything about this story is amazing. I re-read it. Scary but true. Annika Martin has created a wonderful world. I hope she continues writing more stories about them.
