Aera Kim has spent four years getting her business degree in the United States, but now it’s time to return to South Korea to join the family business: K-Pop music. Her father is the CEO of an entertainment company that manages one of the biggest K-Pop groups in the world, the boy band KOSMIC. But she has a secret, the reason she left for the U.S. and didn’t return for four years: she got involved with a male trainee, and someone found out about it.
Hajun Yun is one of the members of the world-famous K-Pop group KOSMIC. He loves making music and being an idol, but he’s got a secret. He can’t forget this girl he met as a trainee, who vanished without a trace one day. And when she reappears years later, he realizes he’d still do anything to get her back in his arms. Even if it means risking his career and everything he’s worked for his entire life.
I'm the author of the K-Pop romance book series KOSMIC. The first book, Kosmic Heart, came out in 2022, and the second book, Kosmic Kiss, comes out in May 2024.
As a Kpop and book fan this is what I’ve been WAITING FOR! No toxic romance, just two adults with brain cells falling in love ! The spice for once in a romance book WAS REALISTIC AND TO THE POINT which I appreciate.
Consider me an infinite ! Can’t wait for book 2 !!
Ok I am hooked and in love with Byunho. I need more of him now please for my heart. You only get a few short scenes with him and I can tell already he is my little introverted, quiet rapper and composer. I have found my KOSMIC bias and consider me an INFINITY.
Absolutely obsessed with this book and the world Erin has created here! I am forever an Infinity! The spice was top notch and really well done; this brings the kpop, kidol and business world to view and brings it to life beautifully. I will definitely keep reading this and will definitely look out for the continuation of this series!
This is my debut novel! I'm rating it five stars not because I think it's perfect-I know that it has many flaws-but because I wrote it during a difficult time of my life, and I'm happy that I did. I hope that it will bring happiness and hope to those who read it, too.

I loved the idea and the beginning was super cute, but I just wasn’t expecting it to be so sexual. Normally that isn’t a big issue but I was expecting it to be like a k-drama. I wanted the sweet love and innocence. I also felt like there wasn’t enough time with our main characters in the beginning to really care for their love. The father was almost non-existent even though he plays a very big role in the conflict of this book.
3.5 stars. An easy romance read that will fuel the delulu inside kpop fans. The ending felt a little rushed and the writing seemed juvenile, but if you’re looking for something quick and easy, this is for you!
If you love Kpop don’t skip on this book. Forbidden love. Spice. Hot boy group. I read this book so quickly and I cannot wait for more. Hajun is :chef’s kiss:! I need more KOSMIC in my life✨
This is definitely one of those books you can finish in a day. Some people wouldn’t suspect the smut…me I’m that person-but there are some spots throughout the book, however it’s not to overwhelming and back to back. It ends with them finding eachother in a cute way and honestly I love it! I’m a sucker for these kind of romances and honestly I thought the characters were portrayed pretty well, definitely give this a try if you like kpop, romance, smut, and some gay besties lol(petition to find his band member a boyfriend tho)

Going into this book, I wanted a nice and easy read with cute romance and a lil spice. You can definitely tell the author is editing on their own, but it didn't take me away from the book like some do. Hopefully they are able to continue the series and maybe get a few beta readers! Overall, it was cute. I wanted a little more of show don't tell but I was able to sit down and enjoy myself and dive into the world of Kosmic! I hope the author continues the series with the other members of the group!
So I picked this book up on a whim after seeing a video about it on TikTok. I definitely did not expect much from it.
I’d rate it a 3.5. Overall, I enjoyed it. I read it pretty quickly. It’s not challenging by any means and the idea is really good and I could tell that the author had really thought it out. I wouldn’t say it’s super spicy. I don’t read a lot of romance though, so don’t take my word on that. (I have seen others say it was very spicy so 🤷🏻♀️)
However, this book could have benefited from more editing. There were quite a few typos and mistakes, but it was self-published and I definitely understand that it’s hard to proofread your own work. There were parts that felt like fillers, although maybe the author put them there because they plan to elaborate in a later book. (Or books?) I wanted more interactions between more characters. I feel like this book (and the author) have a lot more potential.
If the author were to release sequels following the other members of Kosmic, I would definitely read them but I’ll be expecting a lot more from them. I’m excited for the next book!
Okay but this was PERFECT! It had the right amount of plot and smut, and angst. AHHHH. This was so good for a first book! I just wish it had been a little longer and that we could have had a little more of the aftermath of their relationship in an Epilogue. I also really loved all the boys in the KOSMIC band...You could tell that they were a family. I hope we get more books in the future that expands on their relationship.
Another great romance book in the entertainment industry. I love that Hajun uses music to communicate with Aera and at the same time to let out all of his emotions. The ending was kind of sad, but the book still had a happy ending. The only thing was that it was kinda fast paced , but that is to be expected from e 250-ish page book
Soo I loved the kpop references in this book and how the author addressed the issues in the kpop industry in terms of being fair to their idols. I really liked to see how they fought for each other in the end. However, I didn’t love how fast paced the book was towards the end. I wish we saw a bit more emotion rather than their spicy scenes. Overall, I think it was a fun, quick read!
This is wonderful, K-poppy brain candy. I loved the songs at the beginning of the chapters. I wish we'd gotten to flesh out the characters more, especially our love interest Hajun. We really didn't get to know much about him at all (or Aera of that matter). But I still ate it up and will read book 2 if I can find it.
3.5⭐️ Very short and quick read. Also… THE SPICE. I wasn’t expecting it at all… but I loved it. The rope scene legit had me running around my room screaming. However, I would have liked to see more of them in a solidified relationship though towards the end or in an epilogue.
this was fun! major kudos for the author for self-publishing, but because of that, it read a lot like a fanfic, so do with that what you will. a little bit smuttier than my prude self cared for, and I wasn’t a huge fan of Hajun as a love interest, but it was still an enjoyable read
while it could have benefited with maybe one more proofread, i had a really good time time with it! the spice was spicy and the romance was romantic. a wonderful little quick read (yes it took me a month to read this i still consider it a quick read). kosmic #2 im readyyyyy
This was definitely entertaining. I kind of wish that it had been just a little bit longer so some things could have been fleshed out better. I was a little annoyed at the ending, but can't wait to read the next one.
Super quick light hearted read. Spicier than expected but I'm not mad at it. Better than most kpop books I've read. Think I will read more in the series!
Overall it was a quick and short read. The spice was unexpected but welcomed. So many things happened in such a short book. I wish there was more development.
Kosmic Heart by Erin Kay 4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2.5 round up to 3 🌶🌶🌶
Our main characters, Aera and Hajun meet as young trainees..or are they? Aera's not a trainee but the bosses daughter! After a fling early on in their careers, Aera is back in Korea and learning to manage koreas newest group, KOSMIC, which just so happens to be the group Hajun debut with.
He never forgot her.
I found this book after watching the authors tiktok on kdrama book recommendations and instantly bought it. This was everything it promised! There was drama, romance, angst, miscommunication, and smut! We love smut here! This reads like a fanfiction mashup of kdrama and K-pop. The characters make you feel like this could be about any of your favorite groups. I love that at the start of the book, we get a little name chart with each group members name, age, position, and a couple of facts. It just makes it feel like more of a real group, and the playlist that the author compiled to give you a feel for KOSMIC is *top tier*. The only things that kept this from being a 5 star read for me was I feel like it was rushed and some of the happenings in the book could have been fleshed out more because as it stands some of them feel like they were brought in for no reason and they didn't go anywhere (unless its all a plan to build more books into the series because sign me up!). I wish we had more romance in the beginning when our main characters were pre debut. And I would love to have seen some bad things happen to a couple of characters I won't name for spoiler reasons, but I hate them all and wish for your coffee to stay watered down, your sock always find the wet spot on the floor, and may your phone always die just as you plug it in.
Edit to add. I just realized I never posted my review to goodreads after having posted it to instagram😅 this review was also written before book 2 was announced and now that the book box for book has dropped i can finally look forward to reading book 2!
