"...And It Is Not Because I am Wiser Than Any Living Person That I Know the Secret of Your Dream, But Because God Wanted You to Understand What You Were Thinking About" (Daniel 2:30 NLT). After centuries of neglect, the Church is rediscovering the realm of dreams and visions as a legitimate avenue for receiving divine revelation. Dream Language provides exciting and revealing truths about the Master Dream Weaver and His desire to communicate with you. Based on extensive biblical study and years of personal insights the authors provide in-depth examples about this fascinating realm. You will learn how to:
I'm halfway through and I'm learning all kinds of interesting things. This is written from a perspective I was not familiar with. All of my other dream interpretation books are secular, and this one gives the philosophy of dream interpretation through the eyes of the church. Having been an avid dream recorder since a teenager, I am fascinated! I have not been able to put it down to read my book club read for this month!
Will find myself in years to come probably referencing back to this book. Full of wisdom, scripture-answered questions, and definitions, as well as direction on how to keep a journaled account of your dreams.
There aren't many books on dreams from a Christian perspective, so there isn't too much to compare Dream Language to, but this is still one of the best teachings available on the subject.
This book was Biblically based, yet still had some doctrine I didn't agree with. All in all though, it really did have some good takeaways I'd not thought of before.
Am grateful that a friend recommended this book and before I left her house I had ordered it. So much insights and knowledge about dreams and visions in this book. This is not a book to be read quickly, it is a book to be consumed bit by bit as you need understanding and even time to read the scriptures quoted. Brings awareness about dream revelations and interpretations in today's society. The third part of the book talks about walking in wisdom. To me this part was like a preaching to my soul. So many wonderful gems and interpretations of Bible passages. My dream life has been awakened and I for sure want to dig deeper into books about dreams and visions.
I liked this one a lot. There is a lot of information that will be useful to someone new to interpreting their dreams, and many anecdotes and examples given. I also like that there is a glossary of terms in the back of the book for easy reference. There did seem to be a disconnect from most of the content and how to use the glossary of dream symbols. I think I would have liked a little practical advice on how to use that, and apply the symbols. There was a fair amount of scripture references to help with drawing parallels from the Bible to our own dreams.
I am a dreamer.... and found the third section of this book the most helpful. I almost stopped reading in the second section, as I wasn't finding much there that seemed relevant for me. But glad I persevered until the end. Would I recommend this book to others? It would really depend on the person; but generally I would not.
If dream language and interpretation are an interest of yours, this is a great book written by well-known prophetic authors. It's especially good for beginners; it starts with the basics.
I find this book to be very interesting. It has a list of Dream symbols tell you what a color, person, animal means in your dreams. But that is basically what the does. When you read this book, you learning what God is tell trying to tell you in your dreams. Mr. Goll also gives the reader a history of Dreams in the book.
This is a must have for a Christian library and for this generation in the Last Days.
If you are a hyper-charismatic Christian and believe in this nonsense, you will love this book.
If you are a mainstream Christian, this book may offend you and is full of claims that are inconsistent with the bible and Christian doctrine.
From the point of view of a skeptic, this book is full of magical mumbo-jumbo in the name of Yahweh and has no place on any bookshelf. It is a time waster and full of nonsense deepities. Your time will be well spent elsewhere.
