Part-Time Daddy

Rate this book
Exhausted, overworked, underpaid, and for damn sure underappreciated.

Struggling to find a balance between the career I’ve always wanted and the desire to have someone to take care of me, I agree to join an exclusive event at The Garden.

A couple of hours to let go with Dean Nash, the Daddy of my dreams, then it’s back to the grind.

As head of security at The Garden, I’m content with my single life.

When my boss calls in a favor, I reluctantly agree, knowing a few hours of play won’t mean anything. Until I lock eyes with an exhausted boy across the room and every instinct calls me to protect the boy from falling asleep on his feet.

Tanner Morgan checks all my boxes, though I’ve sworn no one ever could.

When we’re tossed into each other’s paths weeks after our one night together…

I offer to show Tanner there can be enough space in his life for a part-time Daddy. A caregiver without expectation of a relationship, feelings, or promises he can’t keep.

Falling in love isn’t part of the agreement, no matter how perfectly we fit together.

Still adorable!

------------------

This was utterly adorable.

It had a daddy, a little, and a whole lot of hurt/comfort. It was fluffy, and I loved it.

Dean is head of security and Dungeon Master. He’s a Daddy but has no boy.

Tanner is a caseworker at Child Protective Services, his life is chaos, he’s exhausted to the extreme, there’s no balance at all. He can’t make time for his little and that hurts.

After an evening together at the BDSM club where Dean works, Tanner is clear he can’t be in any kind of relationship, he just has no time. Reluctantly they let each other go.

It takes some time before Dean takes over the boy's reins, and can convince him that being his part-time Daddy is enough. For now ha! another job is to show him he needs him full-time.

A sweet and attractive Daddy boy story, with an age gap of 21 years. Dean is the kind of Daddy Tanner needs.
We can enjoy them exploring together, with little time and sexy adult time. It’s all sweet and enjoyable. Smoothly written, clear, and entertaining!

Tanner, a social worker spread too thin, heads to The Garden to let his little out and have some fun. As luck would have it, he arrives on Adopt a Daddy night, and meets the grumpy and tattooed, Dean.

From the moment Dean lays eyes on Tanner, he knows that he needs a Daddy to take care of him and Dean wants so badly for it to be him. The pair instantly hit it off, but with Tanner’s busy schedule he doesn’t have the time for a long term Daddy.

Dean is such a sweet and attentive Daddy. Swooping in when Tanner needed him most, and making sure he doesn’t burn himself out. They balanced each other out well, and their story was so stinking cute!

This was a really sweet and adorable age-play/ daddy Dom/boy book. I have to say the start got me really hyped up, I mean the setting was so nice and unusual than other books (kink club, daddy works as a security guard, daddy auction…) but after around 60% of the book when the whole dynamic between Dean and Tanner started it got me a bit bored. There wasn’t much happening here, beside that Tanner worked his ass of for his job and Dean tried to help him in his household, basically. The daddy/little aspect came for me a bit too short or maybe less intense? Maybe I’m just used to have it heavier on this side. I mean don’t get me wrong I like the characters, Tanner was so sweet and precious and Dean tried to be such a good daddy and I liked that he leaned more to the soft/pleasure Dom side. It didn’t had any kind of impact play or punishments.
But I don’t know for me was something missing here…I also was kind of annoying of the forth and back struggled between them fighting to keep their agreement casual, when they actually didn’t wanted it to be casual. Too much drama around that for me.

Adopt-a-daddy! How much do I love that concept? I also love a grumpy guy so Daddy Dean is perfect. Tall, tattooed, sweet daddy, not looking for love or a boy.

But one look at Tanner, a boy practically asleep on his feet, clearly in desperate need of some care and help, screams to his soul. And it’s only one night.

Until weeks later he runs into him again, and Tanner is doing no better than he was the first night. So there’s only one thing to do. Give the boy what he needs, a Daddy, even if he fights it. Tanner needs a routine, some sleep, regular meals and time to let himself be himself. He can do that for him. He can show him that it’s possible to contend with a stressful life of adulting and still be able to have a Daddy and be loved.

In a low angst really sweet and caring daddy boy story, we get a lovely romance of two men who prove that dreams can come true.

I loved how giving they both were. And honestly, every time Daddy Dean called Tanner ‘Baby-Bat’ I fell in love a little harder. 4.5 Stars

When what is meant to be one night only turns to more! Tanner is an overworked and overstressed social worker who desperately needs to unwind and embrace his “boy” side finds himself at The Garden the same night they are hosting a Daddy Auction. Dean, head of security at the club, has been guilted into participating by his boss and is instantly intrigued by Tanner when he sees him from the stage. One night of play is all it takes for Dean to know he wants to take care of Tanner despite the fact they are both super busy and have little free time. This is a very sweet low angst daddy/middle story all about unconditional love and support. I enjoyed that while their attraction is immediate, the physical intimacy side of their relationship is a slow burn as Dean works to show Tanner how to trust him in his position as “part-time daddy” and that side is nicely developed first. possible TW as there is a brief mention of children in unsafe environments due to Tanner’s job but no details given. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I adored this very low angst, sweet daddy/boy romance. It's linked with B. Harmony's Enough series with all characters enjoying spending time at The Garden, their local kink club.
I think my favourite moment if the book is when Dean sets eyes on Tanner and suddenly all of his daddy instincts take over and, despite his strong objection to taking part in the Daddy adoption event and saying he's not interested in anything with anyone, he instantly needs to know this boy, take away all his worries and give him the care he so clearly needs. Tanner is of the opinion he doesn't have time for anyone in his life with all of his time dedicated to his job at child protective services but Dean's more than happy to show how he can have balance and happiness whilst also giving his all to the job he loves so much.
Such a great couple! Dean is clearly meant to be a daddy and knows what's best for Tanner whilst Tanner's little is so lovely, and when he gets to play with Eric, a little from Enough #1, it's clear how much he needs that part of his life. All parts of the story work together so well. The only angsty part for me was the possibility of trouble with Tanner's work but otherwise Daddy Dean takes over and gives Tanner everything he needs to live a better life, including himself. Definitely a recommended read for those who love a great daddy/boy(little) romance with very little drama and a much deserved HEA.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Dean agrees to participate in this auction as a favor for his boss, but while he is up on stage, he sets his eyes on an exhausted boy that calls to him and makes him want to take care of him. When Tanner sees Dean on the stage, he knows he can help relax for a couple of hours before returning to the grind. Tanner doesn't believe he has any space in his life for a relationship, but Dean sets out to show him that it is possible to help Tanner relax without expecting a relationship.

Tanner and Dean are both in denial about what they need or want, but when they get together, what they think they want gets turned upside down. Tanner is working himself to the bone, while Dean denies needing someone to care for him full-time. This sweet, low-angst book shows how a relationship can start one way and transform into something completely different. I like this book and well as getting to see other characters from The Garden Club.

M/M, daddy Dom/ little boy, hea, ku, dual POV

The Little in this story works as a social worker and the Daddy in this story works as a bouncer at a kink club. The Daddy (Dean) gets roped into being set up for auction in an 'adopt a daddy' night. This happens to be the day the Little (Tanner) shows up to the club. Love at first sight. Tanner buys Dean. Then this whole song and dance of Tanner rejecting Dean because he doesn't think he can give him anything as a Little or as a partner. But Dean likes the challenge and eventually pushes Tanner to make a decision when he was in an emotionally comprised situation. The book is very predictable, very sweet, low spice, almost zero angst. Reads sort of like a Hallmark movie almost. It took me so long to read it because I was bored and unfortunately I have a problem just putting something down as DNF

I enjoyed this book. It was sweet (almost overly so) and easy but on the shorter side which wasn’t all that bad.

The daddy/little dynamic wasn’t over the top but just right, with a good balance between little time and adult time. I liked that Tanner wasn’t too little and loved bats and vampires. That made this book unique which I appreciated a lot.

The plot itself may have been a bit boring, especially because there was no drama. I thought there would be with what the blurb said about Tanner being completely exhausted from his job, but that was easily resolved and wasn’t necessarily a big part of the plot.

A few elements of the book (for example the part-time daddy thing) felt like they were only half done but it didn’t interfere much with how I experienced the book. I enjoyed the read but it didn’t blow my mind.

This was a super cute read about Tanner—a boy desperately in need of a Daddy but not thinking he was capable of having one and Daddy Dean who has written off finding a boy of his own. At an adopt-a-Daddy event, it only takes one look for Dean to decide he’s gonna be Tanner’s Daddy even if it’s only for one night. The connection is perfect and they are both what the other needs. Tanner agrees to let Dean be his part-time Daddy and it soon becomes more. This is sweet and sexy and the feels hot you hard at the end.

Part-Time Daddy by B. Harmony is about Dean and Tanner. Dean thinks he doesn’t want a full time boy so when his boss asks him to participate in a Daddy adoption he reluctantly agrees. But then he sees a tired boy across the room.... Tanner wants a Daddy but doesn’t have time for one. But spending a few hours with one to let go sounds amazing, and it's his dream Daddy.... When they walk into each other a couple weeks later Tanner looks even more tired and Dean can't resist. He suggests that while Tanner doesn’t have time for a Daddy a part-time Daddy, a caregiver without expectations will work. Falling in love wasn’t part of the deal......

I loved Dean and Tanner's story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written. They were perfect together!

Part-Time Daddy was a really sweet read, and I loved how protective Dean was!

So I might have a thing for books with hurt / comfort and there was a lot of it in this one. The story worked great; Tanner being an overworked and exhausted little in combination with Dean stepping in and taking over was just hot. I mean who wouldn’t want a big, cuddly Daddy covered in tattoos?

It was a relatively short read but it didn’t feel rushed or as if something was missing. Tanner and Dean’s dynamic developed pretty fast, as dynamics in kink tend to do, but it was more of a slow burn romantically and sexually.

Overall a very enjoyable and sweet read with very little angst. If you like adorable littles and protective daddies I think that you’re going to love this!

It all started with a first ever Daddy adoption event

Dean, Daddy Dom, dungeon master at The Garden (a BDSM club), caregiver

Tanner, little, case worker for CPS, overworked, underpaid and underappreciated, in need of a lifeline

These guys were so good for each other. Dean has been without a boy/little for a while and isn't in the market for one. Tanner is in desperate need of a Daddy but doesn't have any spare time for one. Fate brings them together, during the first ever Daddy adoption event.

I enjoyed the little Easter eggs sprinkled within, from the Enough series. I also noted a mention of a book 3, in the Enough series called Oddly Enough. Woo hoo!!!

This is a story of a boy in desperate need of a Daddy, a Daddy not realizing how much he's missed having a boy to care for, little play times, hot sexy times, hurt/comfort

This was so stinking cute. A boy who is into Vampires and creepy stuff (a fun change from the norm). This was a no angst, semi fluffy, quick read that is standalone. I read it in one read and couldn't put it down. It was just so sweet. It had great main characters that were loveable and they were a perfect match.

The only bad thing I can say about it (it was enough for me to leave a full star off) is it's a slow burn, which is normally fine but this was excruciatingly snail pace slow. The tedious dragged out build up was a bit much. Even the long buildup to the first kiss had me frustrated. It was a great story though otherwise.

What a sweetly delightful daddy/little book. Tanner was all around sweet, if a little stubborn. Daddy Dean was this big, tall and tattooed cinnamon roll for Tanner and I was here for it.

Dean reluctantly allows himself to be auctioned as a daddy for a night. Tanner is an overworked, exhausted little that just needs a break from adulting. It’s a match made in heaven. I loved how Dean, even as reluctant as he was, didn’t shy away from stepping up when he saw how much Tanner needed him. He was this gooey teddy bear of a man. Tanner was so stubborn though. Always insisting that he didn’t have time for a relationship. Dean proved him wrong in so many ways. The caretaking aspect of this book was so well done. Dean tailor made a scheduled of doable things for Tanner so he didn’t get overwhelmed. I also really loved that we had a little who liked darker things like bats, vampires and horror movies. Not all littles are sparkles and rainbows. It was nice to see a different take on the personality Tanner had.

I’d call this a slow burn romance because Tanner and Dean don’t do anything physical for quite a while in the book, but there was a layer of emotional intimacy that made the book feel even more impactful. We get an epilogue that is immensely satisfying for their HEA as well.

Overall, this was an adorable book that packed a little punch with it. It made me remember why I adore daddy/little relationships as much as I do. Definitely recommended.

Part Time Daddy by B. Harmony is the story of Dean and Tanner. Dean is head of security and a DM at The Garden, a club. He is a Daddy but hasn’t had relationships that have lasted very long and he is not looking for a Boy because he hasn’t seen anyone that could fill what he thinks he needs. That is until there is a Daddy auction and Dean gets roped into being one of the Daddies for sale. When he is introduced, he sees Tanner in the audience and one look at his disheveled and tired state puts him into Daddy mode. Tanner works in CPS, making calls at all hours to help children escape from abusive or neglectful homes. He has a horrible boss who keeps giving everyone more work than they can handle yet expects them to be on top of everything at all times. His friends’ remarks cause him to go to The Garden on Daddy auction night and since he’s a Boy he sticks around to see it. When he sees Dean he is immediately infatuated and bids on him and wins. Then then go to play and have a wonderful time, but Tanner tells Dean he can’t get into a relationship because he doesn’t have the time to devote to it and he has had other Daddies who couldn’t live with his schedule. They part ways but meet unexpectedly at a coffee shop when Tanner is on his way to a late night check in and Dean can’t let him go. He talks him into contacting him when he gets home so he can check on him and their relationship really starts up from there. Dean proposes that he become Tanner’s Part Time Daddy and that he will work around his schedule. Tanner is skeptical but as time goes on he sees that it is working and they both realize they want this to last. I really enjoyed this story as it is both Daddy/Boy and has aspects of hurt/comfort which are my favorite kinds. I loved the characters of Dean and Tanner and what they went through to finally get their happy ending. It was rather slow burn but when they got there the love scenes were hot. It was also fun that it incorporated some vampire characteristics in that Tanner loved vampires, his stuffie was a bat, they visited a vampire mystery cemetery, and his nickname was Baby Bat. All in all it is a great story and I highly recommend it.

This is the first time I've experienced this author's writing and it won't be the last. I really enjoyed this book. It a sweet and sexy story. This is the story of Dean Nash and Tanner Morgan. Dean is a Dungeon Master and head of security at The Garden. He has resigned himself to being a daddy and never having a little. He just hasn't found the person with whom he clicked. Tanner is a social worker and a Little who desperately needs a daddy. He is barely keeping his head above water and exhaustion is his best friend. His unexpected and never ending work hours make having relationships impossible. Or so he thinks. Deperate for some Little time he goes to The Garden. Unbeknownst to him, there is an auction happening the night he shows up. Only it isn't the usual auction. This time it is a Daddy auction. Tanner can finally have a little Daddy time if he bids the highest. Dean is out on the auction block due to the manipulations of his boss. When he sees Tanner with the big bags under his eyes and asleep on his feet, he feverently hopes that Tanner will buy him. Dean knows that Tanner desperately needs a Daddy to help him. Tanner thinks Dean is a dream come true as a Daddy. This is their story. I really enjoyed the relationship between the two. It was honest and supportive. I also loved the idea of a Daddy auction as it is usually the other way around. This book was well written and easy to read. I read it in one sitting. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I am looking forward to more by this author.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

Since I've not ready anything before by this author, I was going in blind as to what to expect, except that the author's bio says "mostly sweet"...which I was not expecting to be honest with this book. First, it's Daddy kink, with a large age gap. Second, many books on the BDSM spectrum tend to be sex heavy (which I don't mind!)...so how could a Daddy/boy book be sweet. Well, this author managed it, and I FLOVED it!

Dean was the ultimate sweet Daddy. He took care of his boy who was spiraling out of control. He gave him time to be a little, gave him a regimented schedule, food that wasn't a granola bar, even had the cutest nickname for Tanner's little. Oh my gosh! My heart! Dean never wanted a relationship, yet almost immediately he wanted Tanner to be his person.

Meanwhile, Tanner had zero time to be little, was overworked with no way out, no one to take care of him, and no time to have a relationship with someone. So, his bidding on Dean at the auction was out of character, but just what he needed, a night to be little, and have all his decisions just taken from him. And their relationship evolved from there.

Sex for these two happened, but honestly as was very appropriate for their "part-time" relationship, it took time. It happens very late in the book, and that was exactly where it belonged. This book was heavy on relationships, both with Daddy and his baby bat, as well as Dean's with his friends at The Garden. All that moved the story forward, and made this a book that I just couldn't put down.

Definitely recommend this one, if you are good with a cinnamon roll Daddy, a very tense boy, and all the toys. :)

When I think “Daddy/boy”, the first word that comes to my mind isn’t usually “sweet”. But the way Dean is with Tanner? The word definitely applies here.

Poor Tanner has been run ragged thanks to a demanding job with a horrible boss. But what Tanner does is important, and even more consequential—it’s intensely important to him. The thing is, everyone needs time for themself; without it, we’ll eventually crash. Tanner making sure he at least tries to get that time the night he goes to The Garden was probably once of the most momentous choices of his life, because it leads Dean to him.

Dean may look the part of a rough and tough guy, but at his heart? Total softie with a protective streak a mile wide. He’s a perfect match for Tanner, who desperately needs someone to care for him. The only problem? Tanner thinks he doesn’t have time for that on the regular. Dean’s solution? To be Tanner’s part-time Daddy.

From there it’s pretty much getting Tanner into a routine, and as you might expect the more time they spend together, to more connected they become. I kept waiting for something dramatic to come up with Tanner’s boss, but that situation wound up kind of brushed to the side until the very end where it was more of an afterthought, which meant the overall story was pretty light on the angst.

Part-Time Daddy wound up being a 4-star read for me, and if the whole Daddy/boy relationship is your thing, then this one will be an obvious choice to add to your collection. This story is meant for readers 18+ for adult language and sexual content.

I really liked this Daddy kink, Big/Little short but sweet romance. I loved tanner, the little. I realllllyyy loved Dean the Daddy/Big. They worked really well together, and I enjoyed the writing very much.

This was my first and only by B. Harmony, so far but I would definitely pick up another one of her books. I enjoyed the connection and the heat level, and the detail was great for a shortie but goodie! I LOVE the Daddy kink, its one of my favorites. And I do enjoy the Big/Little enough when it is done right nd here it was, so it was an integral part of my enjoyment to Dean and Tanner's relationship dynamic. The only thing was I felt like I should have known some of the supporting characters and The Garden, the kink club where the first few scenes take place and where Dean and Tanner meet. Other than that, I really loved this one and would for sure have loved it just as much, if not more, had it been longer. The shorter length did not take away from the enjoyment, however, or the love that I felt between our two MC's.

I will for sure be picking up more by this author and can confidently say that others who enjoy the tropes in this one will love if they pick up and read.

I absolutely loved Part-Time Daddy by B. Harmony. While this book can definitely be read as a stand alone, the MC's meet at The Garden, a kink club featured in B's Enough series.

Dean, the head of security at The Garden reluctantly agrees to participate in a Daddy auction as a favor to his boss Madam Eve. Tanner, an exhausted case worker goes to The Garden to be in little space for a few hours and happens to get there on the night of the Daddy auction. He bids on Dean and spends the evening as Dean's boy. They part at the end of the night not expecting to see each other again due to Tanner's work schedule.

Tanner doesn't think he has time in his life for a relationship/daddy, but after a chance meeting with Dean in a diner one evening, Dean decides he needs to be Tanner's daddy. Tanner is hesitant but agrees to give Dean a chance on a part-time basis.

This is a sweet story of patience and love and being exactly what the other person needs. Dean is the perfect Daddy for Tanner and supports him whether Tanner is big or little and Tanner brings love to Dean's life for the first time since Dean was in college.

The dates Dean and Tanner shared, Tanner's love of all things vampire and cameos/mentions of some of my favorite characters from B. Harmony's other books all made this book completely adorable and gave me all the feels.

I ❤️ Daddy Dean!

I’ve been waiting for another book from B. Harmony ever since I finished Just Enough in June. I love the world she’s built around The Garden, a kink club in Colorado. While Part-Time Daddy is a stand alone, it does start at The Garden and we do see some of the usual suspects like Aspen, Eric, and Sawyer.

Dean is the head of security and primary Dungeon Master at The Garden. During a meeting, Dean brings up an idea for an adoption event that everyone seems to love. Madam Eve decides to put a twist on it and have it be an adopt a daddy event and she calls in a favor to get Dean to participate! Against all the odds, Mr. I’m not looking for a boy finds exactly who he needs in Tanner, an exhausted little who just needs a Daddy for the night or so he thinks.

I love B. Harmony’s writing. I can devour her books in one sitting and Part-Time Daddy was no exception. The dynamic between Dean and Tanner was so comforting. I felt like I was relaxing just reading how Dean took care of Tanner. This book was just what I wanted, a nice relaxing read that brought me feelings of happiness. While I understand this is a stand alone and not part of the Enough series, it’s close enough to make me happy and keep me waiting patiently for the next book in the series. 😊

I had no idea what to expect going in to this but I am so glad that I did. This is a truly lovely story about a boy who desperately needs a Daddy - but doesn't think he has the time to give to one - and the loving Daddy that shows him just how well they fit together! Tanner is so heartbreakingly on the edge of crashing and burning and my heart went out to this sweet soul. When he wins Daddy Dean in the club Daddy Adoption Auction, it's a match made in heaven! It's going to take all of Daddy Dean's skill as a daddy dom to keep his boy from giving up on something they both want and need! I loved how completely Dean accepted and respected Tanner's devotion to his job helping children, and how he swoops in to take charge in the areas that he is able to. Tanner is certain that his chaotic schedule and stressful job are going to run Daddy Dean off, but he doesn't see just how much Dean needs him too! I thought that the pacing of the relationship was realistic and perfect and the secondary characters added just the right amount of background support. I haven't read any of the other Daddy/boy books by this author but I'm sure going to check them out now! A truly sweet read and one that I enjoyed very much!

Okay, so y'all know I love Daddy books. I prefer no age play, but sometimes, if it's written right, I can go for it. I really enjoyed B Harmony's PART-TIME DADDY.

Dean and Tanner meet at a Daddy Auction at their local kink club. Dean, who works there as the main DM, gets pushed into being on the auction block. Tanner, who works entirely too much and is past the point of exhaustion, just happens to show up on the night of said event.

Of course, Tanner unknowingly bids (and wins!) the Daddy of his dreams.

Dean, who is very anti-dating/playing, is instantly enthralled by Tanner - wanting to protect and help him. Dean is everything Tanner has ever wanted in a Daddy.

This book was SUPER CUTE. Tanner is adorable, and his love of vampires and horror-lite is beyond cute.

Tanner and Dean just fit together. They're kinks line right up, so it's no surprise that Daddy Dean found his baby bat.

This story was quick, sweet, and totally adorable. The side characters were great, especially Luna and Fodor.

If you like Daddy books and are chill about age-play, I definitely recommend PART-TIME DADDY. It's available now on ku!

Absolutely loved Tanner and Dean.
Tanner is overworked and underappreciated
Dean is head of security at the club.
Tanner went to the club for some ' little' time to de-stress, not realising there was a adopt a daddy night. Dean was pressured into being a daddy for the night.
As Tanner was falling asleep at the back he was jolted awake and saw his perfect daddy staring at him, so he bidded on him. Dean was mesmerised by the tired looking boy at the back and was glad he was adopted by him.
All his daddy instincts came out, but it was only for the night. Tanner was so happy to let his adult life go, even if it was just for the night.
Roll on a few weeks and Tanner runs into Dean in a coffee shop, looking exhausted. Dean takes charge , looking after him.
Love how their relationship develops from part time to full time, even with how stressful Tanner's job is.
Couldn't put it down

Super sweet, slow burn Daddy/little romance. I enjoyed how sweet Daddy Dean is with Tanner and the idea of a part time Daddy was an original take. I especially appreciated the time spent on developing Tanner and both his adult and little sides, this really made me care even more about these characters. Tanner is a case worker for Child Protective Services, it is important work and he is very dedicated to helping at risk children but it takes a personal toll and leaves little time for relationships. I loved their meeting at the Adopt a Daddy event and the instant attraction they had. It is slow burn but these two have great chemistry and the time allows them to get to know each and makes them ultimately a stronger couple. Very sweet couple, well developed Daddy/little dynamic, and lovely happy ending for Tanner and Dean. Loved it!

This is an enjoyable no angst mm daddy/ boy age gap which starts at a daddy auction.
With an imposing but gentle and understanding Daddy Dean and Baby bat boy Tanner as a one time couple through an daddy auction. They like their dynamic and try to see if there is room in their lives for a part- time daddy and boy nce they both think they don't need a full- time daddy or boy.

I appreciated that the author took the time to really emphasise the caring and nurturing and understanding side of the arrangement/ relationship before it became more sexual. It was just really sweet, caring and sexy.

Tanner his bat/ vampire obession as a boy was sweet and slightly different than the norm which I found totally endearing and understandable

Even tough this is a standalone I liked the crossover of characters from previous books by the same author.
