In Fields of Daisies

Rate this book
In this third and final installment of The Broad River Trilogy, the story continues where we last left it On the Eighteenth of May . Once again set amid the beauty and Blue Ridge Mountain charm of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, the characters first introduced early in the trilogy return. Mountain life seems to resume for Cass, Ella and Lucas, even as new challenges and past regrets threaten to impede growth and healing. Iconic locations from the prequel story Across the Broken Bridge, such as the beloved Bearwallow Mountain, are revisited as the seasons and years come and go. Familiar generations of family and friends welcome newcomers to the village, and the search for each person’s pathway forward continues. Some wounds, however, are too deep to be so easily erased. Judgement, in all its dark persuasion, can be powerful and damning, even when aimed only inwardly. Eventually, as those who are struggling are led to consider the potential for redemption, one final question may be asked:Who is worthy of forgiveness, and at what cost is it given?

As the trilogy ends, our story’s unforgettable characters may find themselves still in search . . . and hoping to find a tender peace at last. Perhaps, it is waiting . . . In Fields of Daisies .

Wow!!! What a great ending to a wonderful trilogy! Secrets are revealed and mysteries solved. But most important are the lessons of forgiveness and love. Years have passed and now Cass is deathly sick needing a bone marrow transplant. As days pass old hurts are brought to the forefront and forgiven and healed. This trilogy will stay with me for a long long time
